This is making me uncomfortable, how long until you become the spirit guy again?
-
Run, leave, get out while you still can! But also welcome to the forums :)
-
Sounds like a lag switcher, and I'm not gonna victim blame you here, but I'd say hacking to defeat a basement Bubba is definitely the most justified time to do it, though hacking in general is always unjust.
-
Never, 1000 more years of the Boil Over meta! (Dramatic and epic music plays)
-
She's extremely add-on reliant, very poor stealth, abysmal anti-loop, but she's pretty fun to pub stomp with and survivors will typically be very nice to you if you play fair, not Billy levels of support but it's something.
-
You should change your pfp back to spirit, because your the spirit guy right? Or is Oni my beloved finally taking you? Also yeah, I hate RPD unless I'm playing pig.

There's so much to unpackage from this post, to be honest, I don't think I could do justice to try and explain all my points, all I'm gonna say is that Bubba isn't op, this game will be fine when other games come out, and buff bubba.

I just want to stop getting teammates that do nothing/hide all match making the game a 2/3v1. I'd rather they just DC, it's more frustrating knowing they're staying in the game not doing anything.
There's nothing I hate more than looping a poor baby killer for several minutes and no gens pop.

On solo-q, real enemy is your teammates.
Your absolutely right, the last game I played, a Kate fed a Blight a hit, and because he had blood favor I went down. I then proceeded to die on hook, not once did anyone even make an attempt to save me.

If the Hag had skin, she'd break the game with her delciousness. Teach that nasty Rin a thing or two about beauty.
I heard her body festers the most handsome of maggots this time of the year.

I think because most games tend to cater to the male gaze, which can be harmful and alienating to female gamers.
Shouldn't we cater to all gazes, to be honest, I don't really care about this to much, I just find it annoying how it's acceptable to gawk at half naked men, but not half naked women.

MK9 Mileena in the Flesh Pits into MK11 Mileena, ready for a nuclear holocaust... In the arctic. How the times change.
MK11 Mileena is the worst dlc I've ever bought, in every way she is worse than her MK9/MKX versions.

If you read comics, you’d know the character power girl from dc. She’s one of my favorites and my main in injustice 2
I was never into the Injustice games, the controls were just really strange to me and I didn't like how much zoners dominated in the first game.

I know its a meme topic and all, but it is kinda surprising how female cosmetics seem less..... thirsty than a few of the male ones.
Yeah that's how trends work, 10 years ago games like Mortal Kombat had the men exposed and the women exposed, but more recently we've studios go far in the other direction.

I’m gonna quit dbd because of the inequality lmao
I know, it's truly upsetting to see such blatant discrimination, I think the only thing that would maybe bring me back to the game would be shirtless Jane, maybe.

I see dennisreep has ruin rated highly on pinhead. What is the best build to run?
The staples for him are:
Ruin + Undying - If Pinhead finds the box first, he can guarantee value without having to take much risk.
Lethal Pursuer - A good Pinhead can guarantee he finds the box first with this perk, it's consistency makes it incredibly powerful.
The great perks on him:
Thrill of the Hunt - For extra slowdown.
Tinkerer/Discordance - Genfo perks are good for predicting box spawns
Pop - Although weaker due to having to defend the box, it's still very powerful.
The good perks on him:
BBQ - good for info
Bitter murmur - good for info
whisperers - good for info
Use other perks with caution, these aren't necessarily the best perks on him, just the ones that I've experienced the most success with.

So you are accusing Microsoft and Sony of being greedy here and not BHVR?
No, your twisting my words here, I never said mentioned anything about greed, I simply stated the fact that it would probably not be profitable for them to add it to console so with their current ideals it's not gonna be their main concern.

Jeff is definitely the best hugger hands down, the real question is: which killer is the best hugger?🤔

it is realy old indeed, idk if I could find it
That's ok, we can already tell from Clown that they probably wouldn't be aversed to adding real people if they're long since dead.

God I wish Pyramid Daddy would give me a hug. After chasing me around with that stoic expression, his massive sword dragging behind him, and the determination to take me down for being a bad girl. I would love nothing more than for him to torment me in his cage, our special place, and then give me that sweet savory aftercare in the form of an indifferent yet loving embrace. My face pressed against his chest, each labored breath reminding me that he is alive same as I. That we both feel things, in life, and for each other. That pause in the chaos and turmoil to show love for one another would mean everything to me.
I would do anything for a moment like that. Even if that moment were cut short seconds later by his duty to make me hurt and suffer all over again.
I'd understand.
This is the least horny DBD player.

That explains why there is cross Progression between Steam, Stadia and Epic! Makes totally sense. Thx.
The difference is that Steam, Epic, and Stadia are pretty chill about cross progression, there's a reason why the windows store isn't included in that list.
-
Can you link me to that statement about the devs not wanting real life events/people in the game? That must be pretty old because Clown is a very obvious parallel to John Wayne Gacy, and the whole killer clown epidemic in the mid 20th century.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/306923/what-do-you-like-about-boons
I like that I can heal without relying on my garbage solo que teammates that don’t help. The other two boons are mediocre at best not worth a perk slot
When I solo queue, I always bring a brown medkit just in case my teammates won't heal me. I don't think shadow step is that bad, it just requires a Swf who use it intelligently. Exponential just sucks though, and is at best a slight time waster.
-
@Kurri said:
As survivor, you can heal almost instantly mid chase, and if the Killer goes after the totem survivor gets a free escape.
I abused the absolute poopers out of this.
I don't bring COH out of principle, but I won't lie, I definitely abuse it hard when someone else brings it.

@jesterkind said:

Circle of Healing is by far the biggest problem- when the only boon is one of the other two, or even both at once, the survivors need you to be in its radius as well before they can use it properly, so it's far more likely you'll know where it is to snuff it.
Once CoH is brought in line, the mechanic will be much more interesting for everyone- though I do have some more minor annoyances with it even then, it's a good idea.
That's where I disagree with you, I agree they are an interesting idea, but at the moment they aren't a small safe zone. Their literally massive circles of healing or circles of distortion/lucky break. If they were to have some meaningful counterplay other than "hold button on boon to make it go away for 30 seconds" then I'd be fine with them, but at the moment all they do is create yet ANOTHER problem for killers.
-
@jesterkind said:
What I like about boons is what I perceive to be their intended play- survivors get a buff in a limited area, but it's at risk of being snuffed by the killer, and if the killer's on top of snuffing it a lot then the survivors are at risk of spending more time blessing than the perk actually gives them back in value.
They're a good idea that push survivors off generators so they can get a buff, but that the killer can then either snuff out for more slowdown or can use as bait to draw survivors out of position. It's a good concept, it just needs a little work!
I agree with that, it would be neat if they were a fair mechanic that the killer could play around, but at the moment I just feel incredibly stressed to find the totem and even then they can just relight it. If the radius were shrunk and the time to boon was increased, I wouldn't mind them all that much.

I avoid RPD badge and CAW CAW ladys map offering like the plague. One map, I have no idea where I'm going and the other map I'm homeless. I'm currently hoarding Ormond offerings as much as I can so I can at least have a nice map that's easy on my eyes.
I too enjoy the blinding rays of white that burn my tired eyes at 3am.

Not only does it not make them money, but it actively loses them money, and for what? To please the community? If they wanted that then we probably wouldn't even be discussing this.

This is absolutely not like Huntress & Iron Maiden. Let me picture for you. I am Artist and i got down one survivor. And hooked him. DMS started. I send my crows to gen (I can use some info perks for this: BBQ, Discordance etc.) And i catch you with Crow. If you stay on gen, i will snipe you with next crow. If you leave gen, it will block by DMS. And i am doing this while i am camping hook.
I'm not saying that new DMS on Artist is equal to Iron Maiden on Huntress, I'm just saying that new DMS is not that powerful on other killers, but on Artist it would be very strong, similar to how Iron Maiden is terrible on every other killer, but on Huntress it's actually pretty good.
-
DMS on Artist is probably going to be like Huntress with Iron maiden, the two perks on their own range from ok to awful, but on certain killers they become very strong.
-
I'll definitely give this a try, although unfortunately I'm on console I won't be getting much feedback from the survivors.
-
I could already tell from skimming through the post initially that you have a lot of experience with these systems, mainly due to the utilitarian way you explained it. I completely agree that this is probably the best system this game can have, but I just don't think it belongs in the game, this is an excellent post though and I hope more people read and understand it.
-
I can relate to this, to be honest I don't know how I feel about the game at the moment, it feels like every other day I'm sick to death of the game and want to quit, but the day after that I'm actually enjoying myself, even if I'm getting destroyed. I guess this actually kind of proves the resilience that this game has, that even at a point this low, the game can still sometimes be enjoyable.

I just unlock plague so im still learning her. I dont have all the perk i want on her yet so i if the plague player can tell me some of her best perk so i can prioritise those.
In term of gameplay is it better to trow my purge in short burst or to fully charge them. If my corrupt purge is fully charge can i injure the survivor 2 time in the same puke?
Any advice is welcome the reason i finally decide to play her is because of boon
Corrupt and Infectious Fright are your best friends, if you don't have many teachables unlocked, whisperers and bitter murmur are two decent info perks on top of what I listed. As for her power, tap the power button if your infecting objects, hold it if your trying to infect survivors. Also yes, you can hit multiple survivors with her red puke.

Anyone have anything for Pinhead?
Hell yes.
Pinhead
Using Lethal Pursuer guarantees that you will find the box first if you understand the spawn logic (Pinhead has a 40m radius where the box can't spawn, whereas survivors have half that at only 20m. The box will typically spawn either around the edge of your 40m radius.) If you find the box and solve it, you have a short duration where you can move around and if you can quickly get to a corner of the map, you can force it to spawn elsewhere giving you a much better shot at finding it again. And lastly, don't try to protect the box if you find it at the beginning of the match. Try and use the chain hunt to secure an early down while forcing the other survivors to solve the box.

Do you stream at all? I'd love to see your gameplay. Do you have aim assist on console?
I find several killers including Pinhead somewhat unplayable with controller on PC.
I don't stream but I'll explain how I play him:
So essentially I never use his M2 unless I'm stopping someone from solving the box, or I'm bring First Pain or Engi Fang. When I do have to chain someone though, I put the portal in front of the loop their heading to and time the chain possession. All I care about is box management and using my knowledge of box spawns to force the survivors into really tough situations (Perks like Thana and Ruin help apply this immense pressure.) The reason why I love Pinhead so much is that he's all about the 4v1, and winning with him feels very earned almost every time.

Try playing her or Pinhead with controller.
It's funny that you say that because I'm a console player and Pinhead is my second main.
-
I will die on this hill, Spirit is to easy, Pinhead even with Engi Fang still requires a lot of skill and good predictions.

What is the most busted build you can think of? What is the biggest meme build?
No mither x10, I know that would be disgustingly op but I would try it out for sure.
-
I felt this way with spirit, even after her nerf she's still ridiculously strong for how little mechanical skill she requires.
-
I really miss the music, every Jason had their own unique music which brought a different atmosphere, whereas in DBD a lot of the killers just have the same Entity Brain terror radius.

But apparently I suck according to Patrick. I ran the killer for 3 gens around one loop the team got me off ran him for another gen and a half and he killed me.
Now I'm not throwing shade on the killer they did what they did I actually had fun because they were good chases on my end. I just find it funny they consider me a loser in that situation.
That was never the good play man, clearly you should have just not looped him, and drank an invisibility potion to escape to chase. Smh bad players always complaining. /s
