Don't you just love your 3rd game in a row on Lery's as Pinhead?

OH NO!! MULTIPLE TIMES!!! How about Every. Single. Game. Survivors sit at the exit gate and waste two minutes, maybe a little less when they figure out I am not going to the exit gate for their ground humping dance or strobe light party. I would take a four minute bleed out every 5 to 10 matches than 2 minutes every game.
To the OP, just wander around the map kicking pallets or breakable walls. You also can spam some killers' power to get a little extra BP during this time. Or just hang in the basement and go get a drink, look at YouTube, read the forums ;p
Why do you think I made this thread in the first place lmao, I literally made an account here so when I'm being held hostage I can focus on other things like the daily dead hard threads.

dragons grip really need some love but I feel it wont get a buff because it would be disgusting on nurse if it had a short cooldown
I hate when people say that perks shouldn't be buffed because they'd be nasty on Nurse, if that logic was applied to survivors then so many meta perks would be nerfed. I'm not specifically calling you out here, but I wish more people would just embrace the imbalance of the game.

With one exception, I've only ever stayed at the gates to make sure my fellow survivors make it through, and prepare to take any body blocks if necessary.
That 1 time I didn't was when a Wraith had been very good to us remaining 2 after the other 2 survivors disconnected. The other guy took the exit, and I wanted to let the Wraith know I could have escaped, but wanted to repay in kind, so I invite Wraith to the basement so he could sacrifice me.
As for being a dick at the end; either anguish or insecurity, but the way to see it is that you made them feel that way, and that's a lot of power to have over them if they felt so motivated as to respond that way!
I mean I don't really care about how they feel, it just sucks that they can just waste 2 minutes of my time.

.... that is just wow. So, anything does correct. Ok, well tea-bagging/ flashlight clicking are strategy's to keep the killers attention, so nothing wrong with that. Leaving teammates to die, jumping in and out of lockers. All of these can be considered strategies, and I would say they are all toxic. If robbing a person of the ability to properly play a game is not toxic... then there is not much need to fix anything.
The difference between what you listed here is that attempting to distract the killer can often result in nothing or even agitating a killer and causing them to tunneling or camp, but with tunneling and camping they have a 100% chance of being effective when employed at the correct times.

You know what? Starting tomorrow I will play Spirit-chan more and git gud with her, even though I suck at her game, right now!
I feel that IW shouldn't be THAT effective against her and maybe that IW and Stridor should cancel each other out, so that she can always at least play at her base kit, but that's just wishful thinking, a wild pipedream of mine, so I'll have to learn make do with what I got!
After that you should play Oni. Why? Cause it would be cool.

Sus????😳😳😳😳😳😳😳

Nothing really to say here other than practice the drag tech and try to be super efficient in chase. Pretty much the only solution to this would be for the tentacle to hit multiple survivors but at that point he's literally just a budget Pyramid Head.

I never chase survivors at the Exits unless I have to push them out to defend a hook. I'll just ignore anybody in the Exits and go look for either stragglers who got lost or pallets to break or see if I can close the hatch. And sometimes it pays off. Just the other day I had a match where I had one kill so far, two survivors opened the Exits and were waiting for me. I instead went looking for the other one, spotted her trying to head toward the opposite door, and got a bonus kill out of it. 🙂
But yeah, if they're going to just waste their own time standing around doing nothing while I explore and break stuff that's fine. I don't get the compulsive need to have me watch them leave.
Mainly when they do that it's because they want to rub their win in your face, it's really cringe when veteran players do it, you'd think after the 1000th time waiting to teabag they'd stop and take their wins in grace but I guess not.

A terribly complacent development team + little competition, don't worry, it's only a matter of time before a competitor can get their feet in the ground and actually provide some much needed competition.

I don't get how you can still say Spirit doesn't require skill when she got handed counterplay and she's almost as rare as Deathslinger now.
I never said she didn't require skill, it's just the amount of mechanical skill required is not to my liking, I have a grand total of like 6 games played with her at decently high MMR and I easily won them just because I've watched people play her before.
-
@GannTM said:
I just want to express my gratitude on you playing Spirit. We need more people willing to do that. But yeah, double standards is a core detail in the term "DBD community."

Killers don't have a team to complain to when things go wrong. So, naturally, they'll end up talking elsewhere.
The notion that they must be complaining more in general because of forum posts is a flawed assumption. The flip side is saying that Survivors must be saltier, because they complain endgame chat more... but there's also four times as many Survivors there.
I agree that killers obviously are gonna vent somewhere, but just listening to people play killer now I can tell they are not having a great time. I'm not saying their more salty as an insult, It's just something I've observed from talking to other killer mains.

Waiting at the gates to tbag is toxic, but bleeding out the last player when you could easily hook them isn't? Dragging them to hatch and gate only to close it in their face and pluck them off at the last second isn't? Deliberately abusing exploits with perks or map terrain to create matches that take 30+ minutes to end isn't? Trapping a teammate in a corner so they die to endgame collapse isn't? Refusing to end the game for just as long because you realize the killer is a baby and your team can easily bully them for 20 minutes before you pop the last gen isn't toxic?
I don't really understand your methodology. Seems to me like there's a lot of intentionally dickish things people can do in this game. While I hate gate tbagging, I'd consider it on the tamer side of the douche spectrum that exists in DBD.
I just find it more grading than annoying, like a humiliating defeat followed by a "haha you suck and I win" stings a lot more than a good match and then all of the sudden you get hatch closed in your face and mori'd.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/305859/why-are-killer-mains-more-numerous
Look at it this way.
When one side (the minority side) of your game is making nearly all the complaint threads - what do you think that indicates?
To me it indicates that there is something about the role, whether it be mechanical, balance related or to do with the attitudes or behavior of the other side that makes that role frustrating.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2758718#Comment_2758718
I really disagree.
My best example: If I don't give someone hatch or gate, I'm going to be QQ'd at in postgame.
I've been given a 'pity kill' on exactly 2 occasions in 400 hours.
I've seen maybe 5 killers total rage DC outside of people holding the game hostage or bringing really abusive offering combos. I see a survivor rage DC or suicide maybe 1 in every 4 games.
Survivors, by and large, tend to have an attitude of entitlement that killers don't tend to. I think this stems from survivor being the 'power role' in DbD. Everyone expects to escape.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2758811#Comment_2758811
This is also partially true. The devs approach balance very differently for both sides - which sets up a situation of 'us vs them'.
I'm surprised you don't think killers are saltier considering you have been on the forums for so long, maybe it wasn't this bad before but as far as I'm aware, killers have been constantly complaining for years.

Because they do things like nerf twins, clown, nemesis and then buff survivor wiggle in the same patch, while not dealing with problem perks people complain about, and instead discussing how they'll make solo survivor super strong before buffing killer.
Optics matter and when you do stuff like that, it paints some bad optics. When you have a patch nerfing a D tier killer and NOT nerfing COH or DH, and also buffing an entire survivor mechanic, people are going to notice and they're going to start feeling the devs are one sided. The only other way I can interpret the latest patch besides "devs are blatantly survivor sided" is "devs are so out of touch that people with 20 hours know more about the game than them."
This is very well said, the problem isn't that the game is any one sided, it's the lack of consistency in logic (typically favoring survivors) when balancing.

Who do you think you could beat in a fight?
Rules: You have no time to prepare you have to use what you have at hand or nearby, If you choose Legion remember is all four of them.
Evan MacMillan - Trapper
Philip Ojomo - Wraith
Max Thompson Jr. - Hillbilly
Sally Smithson - Nurse
Michael Myers - Shape
Lisa Sherwood - Hag
Herman Carter - Doctor
Anna - Huntress
Bubba Sawyer - Cannibal
Freddy Krueger - Nightmare
Amanda Young - Pig
Jeffrey Hawk - Clown
Rin Yamaoka - Spirit
Frank, Julie, Susie, Joey - Legion
Adiris - Plague
Danny Johnson - Ghost Face
Demogorgon - Demogorgon
Kazan Yamaoka - Oni
Caleb Quinn - Deathslinger
Pyramid Head - Executioner
Talbot Grimes - Blight
Victor & Charlotte Deshayes - Twins
Ji-Woon Hak - Trickster
Nemesis T-Type - Nemesis
Elliot Spencer - Cenobite
Carmina Mora - Artist
Imo I think I would easily be able to beat Hag she a twig for crying out loud. Try to place a trap grab her and snap her like a twig
Hag and maybe Amanda, without entity influence even a child could probably break Hag over their knee, Amanda would be tricky though, without a blade I could easily take her, but with one she would definitely have the advantage.

Hex: No One Escapes Death and Adrenaline are both too outdated and unfun for the opposite side that I think they deserve a rework.
Adrenaline
After a generator is repaired you gain a token for a maximum of 5.
You can use your tokens by pressing Active Ability Button while running.
For each you gain 1 second of 150% speed boost and 12/11/10 seconds of exhaustion.
After the last generator is repaired you will be healed 1 health state if you're in one of these situation:
- You are in a Downed state.
- The next time you are hooked you will be immediately sacrificed. (hooked twice already)
- You are currently on a hook.
After being you will use all remaining tokens.
Hex: No One Escapes Death
You gain a token after hooking a survivor for their first time up to a maximum of 4.
After the gates are powered totems are lit or spawned on the map equalling the number of tokens.
Each survivor who has been hooked will become Exposed and will need to cleanse a hex totem to get rid of it.
(it's basically Plaything)
Give your opinion, cuz I just thought of it and decided to share it.
I like the idea behind your Adrenaline rework, but in reality it would just be an even more annoying dead hard.
For Noed, I feel like if you want a token based system, it should work like a perma blood warden until the hex is cleansed. This change however, wouldn't make it any less annoying and instead might encourage tunneling.

I don't know if I completely agree. Survivors call the shots at the start to get the first hit. But once you get the first hit and bleed them enough for your power. Oni certaifnly calls the shots. A good oni in their power will get their hits. And won't be much survivors can do about it.
He's a solid killer. For sure.
Exactly my thoughts, people seem to forget that even if an Oni loses 4 gens before they get their first hit, he can still kill the entire team in a single demon fury.

My personal experience is that i don't take the game seriously anymore, it effects my mental sanity especially when it comes to sweaty games over and over again. I was used to play a lot before it came out, around 90h in the last 2 weeks according to steam, now i have 10h the last 2 weeks which is a huge difference and says a lot of it.

Another thing I see is that they are slowly losing players and hopefully something will be done about it.

I stopped playing him and I just play easy mode version of him which is blight. As survivor, I can semi-consistently 1vs1 his entire ability. Oni ability is probably the most over-estimated killer power in the game. With some base-kit tweaks, he could be a lot stronger. Changing iridescent family crest does not move needle for him.
You think Blight is easier? Personally I struggle more with him than with Nurse, although once you get the muscle memory and experience I see how it can be easier.
