1v1 Cowshed, if you last longer than 5 minutes your deemed worthy.

Well her mom died and her dad is…..well it’s complicated. I feel Kazan is the only one I can ask.
Well in that case he'd probably hold a trial by combat to determine if your worthy, so yeah, you'd get smashed into the ground.

I still need to ask him if it’s ok to marry Rin. Still kinda nervous that he’s going to bash my face up with his mallet.
Japan is no longer Patriarchal, you just get consent from both spouses to get married.

Matches like this are getting tiring. They see it's a Spirit and don't even try. Seriously, why queue up for survivor if you're just going to straight up ruin the fun for everyone? It's not even like my perk setup and add ons are that strong. Is it really worth DCing against Pentimento, or even a gimmicky add on like Senko Hanabi?
I love Spirit and would like to enjoy her without dealing with people like this. Please stop this madness!
Props to Ace for staying as I gave him the hatch.
I actually don't mind going against her, I just would much prefer her Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great grandfather.

This perk is pretty weak right now considering the amount of gen rush in this game.
Even if you get Penimento stacks survivor can easily negate them again just by cleansing that totem again.
Killers rely on strong slow down perks to achieve a high kill rate. So it would be just balanced if killers could recreate destroyed totems of penimento again.
Please god no, just make it to where you can Pentimento boon's.

Basically, Confucian policies enforced a patriarchal society. It was a practice that started with the elites, the... practice entailed breaking all the bones in the foot than wrapping it uptight. This caused the bones to "heal" in a way that made them look smaller. It was incredibly painful, and also made walking within itself painful. The Chinese at the time viewed small feet as a sign of beauty. Same as being pale, so women would sometimes walk with sunblocking umbrellas to avoid getting a tan.
I think it was the Manchu dynasty that outlawed the practice deeming it oppressive.
Man, if people in the past did stuff this stupid, imagine what stupid things we're doing now that people will look back on and wonder "What were they thinking?"

- Stop talking to say nothing, you say way too much to answer a simple question that can be answered with yes or no or 2-3 sentences, please keep it short.
- Don't say "soon" if it's not within 2-3 patches away (1-3 months) for us when you say soon we expect it AT LEAST in 2 patches, you said soon about ghostface and legion in the LAST Q&A and it's actually not even close to be soon, don't say soon unless it's seriously soon, talking to you Patrick. (this is not an attack)
- If you select questions that are the most up voted but can't say much about it, simply make it short, it's coming! we are working on it at the moment! it's the next project we'll work on, don't say expect it soon but we can't give details, it's just annoying, if you select the question, give a tiny hint like you did for basekit BT, even if many will cry ######### about BT being basekit, which many will we know it, give little hints so we have something to go with and be slightly satisfied.
- Admit you know there's issues when questions are asked about issues, you replied about hackers and made sense on that one, but you often totally dodge the question to not answer it, just say yes we hear you, you consider it a problem, we'll investigate it, just so you acknowledge our concerns and we can be satisfied about the fact you heard us and know about it, like you did with DH.
- if there's MANY questions about the SAME topic in every Q&A, stop saying it's not planned, we ask and they are up voted because for us WE want you make changes about this, myers is frequently in your Q&A for changes, it means we want changes to him, don't leave him in the dark, don't leave those frequently asked questions left in the dark.

@Tekno_Badger said:
Everyone who's good at this game and at least understands both sides knows that it starts out somewhat killer-sided, but the more skilled the players, generally the more survivor-sided the game gets.
Easy fix:
- The upcoming HUD so survs know what each other are doing will help at lower MMR.
- Make NOED require 4 hooks beforehand to activate. No more noobs using this as a crutch to bully unprepared survs.
- Limit perks to 2 uses per team after a certain MMR, a high one, obviously. This is along the lines of what comp tournaments have done to balance the game, though this is less restrictive believe it or not. You don't need 4 DS, BT, DH, UB after a certain point, and boons are even worse at times. I'm sure some people will complain about this but note that almost every other MMR game has MMR-based balancing.
- Allow the survs to ban 1 map and the killer to ban 2 for the match. Make this 1 each once there aren't a plethora of surv-sided maps (Dwelling, Ward, Haddonfield, all of Badham, etc.)
The survivor changes should scale depending on the killer, Nurse with these restrictions would be insane, just ban Lery's and mothers dwelling and hardcore tunnel and camp.
The Noed rework wouldn't change the inherently unfun design of the perk. A suggestion I've always like would be to make it essentially an infinite blood warden to anyone who has been hooked before. This would make the perk name actually make sense while making the perk far more fair.

I'm not confused about how he dropped the pallet on me, it's more the thing of how fast it was and the entire scenario :D
Well hopefully you learned your lesson, in the extremely rare chance that a survivor brings an entire build to do one, slightly useful thing, and gets lucky to have the perfect scenario play out, always go out of your way to make sure that action is denied.

And we wonder then why they don't communicate with us... I was disappointed too by the stream but I don't think we need to insult the developpers. We don't work with them, we have no idea what's going on, the real reasons some things sound strange (like the SBMM working because killing/escaping = skills). It's frustrating for sure, but I agree with the OP.

Nice otz reference.
I just want the pure chaos a 2v8 mode, also getting creative with the killer combo's would be pretty fun.

It's hard to imagine what a new game mode could be in a game like dbd, I know plenty of people have suggested repairing a car but I feel that wouldn't really be it. However I'm not sure how different the node would be, there would have to be looping as usual, a killer. So what do you all think could possibly be added as a new game mode?
Bare bones (No perks, items, or add-ons can be brought.)

Now that they've decided that 4 seconds was enough, we can enjoy people healing across half of The Game and all other multi-level maps, the continued nonviability of any hit and run style, and so on. BHVR never accepts making a mistake so they will insist until the end of time that boons are fine and that CoH is 'balanced' now. I'm laughing. The game is unbalanced, and I'm laughing. If you don't enjoy it, play another game.

That's true, I think that trying to give him some threat is critical, because the payoff for the reward is a joke. As you said pathetic really
To be honest I don't really care about his M2, if they would just make the box easier to control it would go a long way in making him more lethal.
-
@the_honey_badger said:
So for a little context I am a cenobite main, I have pit a ton of hours into him, so I feel I have the experience to voice an opinion on the subject, so my first idea.
- Have his chains break off the environment similar to deathslinger
I feel it's a little unfair at the current moment to have your chains immediately broken, so to compensation for this I think having his chains break off a in a similar way to deathslinger could be good.
- Give 1 extra chain
So we know when pinhead hits a survivor with his power, 3 chains will spawn on them. But they break extremely easily, so to try and compensate for this, I suggest that giving him an extra chain could potentially give him more of that anti loop ability.
- Make impaling wire basekit.
So as previously stated the chains break way too easily (instantly) on the environment, if they don't wish to try the previous idea I mentioned, then maybe having that add-on will give him a bit more danger to his power.
I'm not saying my ideas are perfect, but I do think pinhead really needs buffs. These are my opinions, you don't have to agree. But I certainly hope you voice your opinion in return.
Stay safe, all the best.
I agree with making impaling wire, I don't agree with him having an extra chain though, adding one wouldn't change how pathetic his power is on maps like Lery's or Gideon meat plant.

Shout out to all the people who play the cooler Yamaoka, I would have Oni as my pfp if my account wasn't stuck on applicant.

@EntitySpawn said:
Well if that doesnt highlight the issue of balance alone.
So we nerf most killer addons because of the one player who mains and masters one killer meanwhile we balance for casual survivors so everyone can have fun.
What? Why do we make killer harder for the more average playerbase?
Not even gonna go into their SBMM and how they try to back it up, embarrassing to say the least.
This is the gripe I have with the way Behavior treats killer, it's not that their weaker or stronger than survivor, it's that they constantly make boring changes for "balance" but then turn around and give survivors COH.

Heyo, opening this up for feedback and adding some context: The reason why we end up with a lot of "Soon" answers is because we take the most upvoted questions. In the past, we've cut questions that we aren't able to definitively answer, but we received a lot of complaints about skipping and dodging questions. Of course, like you've mentioned, some things either aren't planned or aren't slated to be released any time soon.
Our POV is that even if we aren't able to give the most satisfying answer, it's better to acknowledge the things people want us to talk about most than stay silent on them.
Genuinely, if you (or anyone else) have any suggestions for how this could be done better, please let us know. I'd be happy to change the way we do things for next time, but it's a tricky situation since there's a balance between taking the questions people want to know the answers to and picking the questions we're able to answer to.
Just can the streams if you don't want to be insulted, no matter what you do your gonna be criticized.

@Laluzi said:
I'm a little baffled why have a Q&A at all if they can't or won't answer 80% of the questions asked.
At the very least, pick questions that can be answered?
So far, I've got "bots won't replace DCed players because we want this game to be humans-only", "coh will be nerfed (but not enough to stop it being broken)", and "we do baffling addon nerfs because at high MMR these killers are too powerful," and "we don't plan on improving Myers at this time" as actual answers. Everything else has been a non-answer.
That's why I wish they would just can the streams and publicly acknowledge issues when they arise, it's a big let down when you promise to answer questions and then spend 30 minutes saying "we can't answer that."
-
@Pulsar said:
In the latest Q&A stream, when asked the question, "Will we ever see basekit BT or DS to counter tunneling and camping?"
They answered: "We have no plans to make DS basekit."
Obviously this implies that they are at least considering basekit BT.
Thoughts?
If this is coming with several killer buffs then I'm ok with it, the only issue is that Behavior don't have the best track record for making changes in the best interest of killers.

No, on the Killer's end because they don't want to give the Survivors the satisfaction.
Ok I get learning humility, but that doesn't work here, I don't do it to deny the players of their satisfaction so much as I do it to stop myself from getting angry. I am a very competitive person and I can get pretty invested in matches, so when I know I'm probably about to get bm'ed I just cut my losses and go afk in the basement to stop myself from becoming upset.

I might, I just hate buying survivors even if it's with Iri shards.

There's a bunch of perks cycling through the Shrine, there's got to be a pretty low chance of any given perk being in one at any given time.
I think they also keep new perks out of the rotation for a little while too, for some reason?
Honestly, the RE chapter is worth it if you ever get the cash. Might be quicker.
Unfortunately I already bought Nemesis so buying the chapter now would not be cost effective, but yeah I'm already over the shrine.

@White_Owl said:
I own 29 survivors, but I end up play always the same. The reason is that he's the only one on which I poured the tons of BPs required to unlock all the perks. If I want to play with someone else I just have to use the few random perks they got or going through that painful grind again (and I'm already doing it on my killers, so I think I'm already suffering enough). Which is a pity, because aside from the fact that I paid for some of them, I really like some and would love to play them more and have more variety.
The point, though, is that I find this grind kinda acceptable for killers, since each one is unique and has their own set of addons, but on survivors all this grind feels pointless since they are literally skins.
I wish there was an earnable way to share the bloodweb/inventory between survivors.
I always get confused when I see people with all survivors unlocked, like let's be honest, no ones gonna pay 5 dollars for flip-flop or buckle up.

@MrDardon said:
Hello everyone! We all know that CoH is a pretty highly complained about Perk. The main problem is the extremely fast healing time and that you could heal indefinitely, making hit and run based Killers pretty unviable.
Currently it works like following:
- You set up a Boon, giving a 24 meter radius of effect.
- Within that radius, you can heal yourself without a Med-Kit at a 50 % healing rate.
- You gain a 90/95/100 % healing bonus.
It basically makes you heal yourself during 16 seconds while healing others with double the healing speed (8 seconds), which makes it an immensely strong effect compared to it's 2 boon partners.
To keep it at a decent strength without it being to powerful I came up with 2 ideas.
1st idea:
- You set up a boon, giving a 24 meter radius of effect.
- Within that radius, you can heal yourself without a Med-Kit during 18/17/16 seconds.
That would remove the doubled healing speed of CoH, making it a good self heal Perk without the need of an Item and wouldn't affect healing others in any way.
2nd idea:
- You set up a Boon, giving a 24 meter radius of effect.
- Within that radius, while injured, you will passively heal over time within 34/33/32 seconds.
- Within the radius, the healing action is disabled.
- Once Circle of Healing has successfully healed 2 Survivors, the Boon Totem automatically snuffs itself.
This would incentivise staying in the radius for a longer time rather than just quickly heal there while it stays available for everyone. The healing duration also needs to be longer since it would make healing during chases pretty easy. And since the effect is still pretty strong, it should have a limited use until it deactivates, forcing Survivors to re-bless the Totem.
What do you think?
I actually like the second one, although I'd add one small change:
- Your auto heal timer is paused if your in chase.
I can imagine some situations in which you chase a survivor in the boon, they get auto healed, you hit them again, and then their auto healed again after only 30 seconds.
