yes i do. high pickrate means popular/effective and as far as i know arist and unknown have abysmal pick rates so yes
>In a game with 40+ killers, having a killer like Judgment that is almost

dash-slop.she's b tier with all the built in counterplay and all the skill floor does is gatekeep people from playing her also we did have dash slop for a while till people got tired of it and we just swapped to rangeslop instead. idk if we're going to trap killers with how people hated skull merchant unfortunately
Thank you for giving me the full green light to disregard your opinion by calling a Killer that can end matches in seconds ACROSS the entire map as "b-tier". Luh mow. Ecks dee.

it is a sign of failure because it means compared to other popular releases like jason kaneki springtrap and even krasue she falls short
So you'd call Kaneki a success? Despite the fact that most Survs still loathe him? Would you consider killers like Artist and (current) Unknown failures because they're not in the Top 5 most picked Killers?

it's a failure since on release you didn't see many judgements unlike most other killer releases

A killer with a high skill floor will always be rarer than your average pubstompers that anyone's grandma can pick up. Judgment being uncommon isn't a sign of failure.

Yes, but we don't need AI Slop to justify a Yautja's inclusion.

BHVR has a pretty consistent pattern of releasing killers and new character perks overtuned, especially if they're licensed. This pattern goes back to Ash Williams launching with an absurd Mettle of Man, if not further.
They also have another consistent pattern that they nerf that stuff 6-12 months down the road. Jason has only been out for just over 3 months. You just have to give it some time.
Agreed, DS was busted for a full year and was the first truly oppressive Surv perk. So since almost the beginning!
Also, Kaneki has had a string of nerfs and he is still loathed by Survs, despite being an M1 (down) killer with really good movement between loops.
Given how badly Jason was requested I wouldn't be surprised if he stays the same for a very long time.

- That he only gets 1 spear is completely irrelevant. He has far more access to his ranged ability compared to Huntress. If you run out of Hatchets as Huntress, you have to abandon chase and reload. With Jason, you just reload on the fly without losing distance since there are plenty of Hooks and Crates around. All this while being 4,6 m/s instead of 4,4 m/s.
- Jason has so many teleport spots. They even added more than only the existing Pallets and Windows.
- Fair, but what it does is blocking the vault/pallet or destroying the Pallet.
- As I said before, there is barely any time loss, if any, if Jason reloads.
Jason on either Forsaken Boneyard map would like a word. Most of my losses as Jason (minus games where I prefer lodging Spikes into walls next to Survivors instead of at them directly) are on both Eyrie and Dead Sands. Pallet spawns and window spawns are bizarre in that Realm.

There is a new design philosophy that every killer must be at least A tier or S- (newly released ones)
So it is unlikely that Jason (who is A tier) will get any nerf.
SoloQ balanced around 30%-35% escape (most of them given by killers as free hatch)
And every new killer is asked a question, what if going against 4x SWF with 20k hours each?
This is how modern dbd balanced
As opposed to yesteryear when killers like release Sadako and Ghost Face came out to about as much success as a wet fart? I'll take a killer who needs to be nerfed because they are overtuned rather than one that needs half a dozen reworks to be even remotely playable.

- Ranged attack with no downside, almost guaranteed hit; SCRATCH THAT, in addition to having no downside, it hinders and brokens survivors, soooo yeah… RANGED ATK with HUGE UPSIDES
- TP around the map basically on demand → Jason basically plays 2 ways, in a chase, and in TP
- Blocking windows, pallets, survivor screams when he TPS, i mean… EVEN a mentally challenged individual would have an oppinion on this
- Have i forgotten anything?
Basically Jason has no identity, he just has bunch of OP perks all put into one. IT made for a great selling strat. What now though? I must say, i have been playing this game for over 500 hrs, have around 45% escape rate, and i have never played a game where we managed to complete more than 2 gens b4 getting ousted. But yeah, he cool though.
P.S. I have made 3 posts on the forum in my entire 500 hrs played. This about nerfing Jason is one of them. Draw a conclussion. BHVR.
Good lord, hate Jason for any reason you want (despite the fact that he's healthier for the game than Henry and Judgment but I'll still my tongue), but being an ableist? 10,000 years in Hopeless Exile.
Also, 500 hours is a microscopic amount of time to put into the game to expect "great" results against strong killers everytime, circle back to us when you add another thousand to that number.

I started a few years ago and purchased the survivor pack and purchased the killers with shards. My husband started playing and waited until the anniversary and got most of them then. Right now the low blood points doesn’t justify the time spent playing. I can only imagine it would take weeks to get enough to level one character up for the casual player. You put time in for little back. I always said They are like Scrooge McDuck with their blood points.
As someone with 6 P100s and has been playing consistently since 2016, I agree entirely. I am the veteran player who doesn't need BP by any stretch of the imagination, however, I can 100% feel how slow going my current P100 in progress is and I can only imagine how painful it must be to be a new player. BHVR needs to address it.

This is such a biased and short-sighted "non answer" from a killer main who prolly hasn't played survivor in who knows how long 🙄 no $#!+ certain killers can counter certain builds, that's not a problem. What is a problem is when the new killer that you see 20+ matches in a gd row (shame on the person a few posts above trying to gaslight us into believing 'nobody plays this killer' smdh) can counter literally 50% or more of the viable builds that are out there. So no, this does not promote "build diversity" if anything this will encourage players to use the only 2 or 3 builds that are any good against them. To be quite honest this has been the most disappointing killer release in a long time and the Survivor lobby being at a constant 1.75x multiplier since this god awful killer released last Tuesday should be all the evidence you need that no one likes playing against this killer. I don't even know how bhvr could release this killer in it's current state without being completely ashamed of themselves imho it's incredibly unfun and frustrating to play against no matter how many matches you have to "practice" against it.
First post and you're spitting venom and calling people you have never met "killer mains who prolly hasn't played survivor in who knows how long 'obnoxious eyeroll emoji'" with absolutely zero basis.
May these forums never change lmao.

Ghost Face is one of the worst killers in the entire game and has an inconsistent and bafflingly bad reveal system. I would laugh so hard if BHVR decides to take notes from GF and make another Killer that frustrating to play.

Agreed, the fact that one Surv can save THREE PEOPLE (hypothetically) all at once from Exile by repenting at one statue is MORE than enough of an incentive for Survs. This is Hopeless Exile. This is Hell coated in Angelic Paint. It shouldn't make you stronger or more powerful than you would be hanging from a meat hook. Getting extended BT and elusive and whatever is a great incentive to play the minigame.

Given how many aura perks are in the game nurse is just an easy killer to play with the right loadout that does not require any kind of skill or thought. Sorry to break this to you but it's just a simple fact that nurses only counterplay is breaking los and since there's so many aura perks that's not really an option anymore so that eliminates the only skill nurse players needed and the only counterplay survivors had.
Seconds I do find it hilarious how you contradict yourself by saying Jason is a super strong powercrept killer but also somehow not PTW. Like seriously? Also the added requirement of needing to be perkless? Like get out of here man or at the very least be intellectually honest with yourself.
As someone who thinks me contradicting myself (I didn't lol, "definitely strong and a powercrept Huntress" is factually accurate and by no stretch of your feverish and delulu imagination the same as PTW, nice try tho, pookie), I do have to say, hilarious that you avoided the fact that Nurse is free and the very first DLC killer. Yeah, aura perks are great on her. Is she PTW? She's the best killer in the game by a country mile, so tell me, is she PTW? She's effectively skill-less according to you, but tell me, is she PTW?
"Like get out of here man or at the very least be intellectually honest with yourself." Lol, lmao, ecks dee

TLDR the killer is hard to play despite being extremely powerful in the right hands. It's the opposite of pay to win killers like Jason or Ghoul so you actually need to be good at the game to win. You can't just press button to win with them which is a nice change of pace from how they have been handling killers for the last couple of years.
So what does that make Nurse in your eyes? Free, first DLC killer, and has been the undisputed Queen of DBD for over 10 years now. Ghoul has fallen off in the last 6 months at the highest levels because he's still forced to M1 you to down you and can be punished hard at loops by smart survivors (P100 Ken here, I've seen it plenty of times by comp Survs with bedazzled Steam Profiles) and Jason is definitely strong and a powercrept Huntress/Afton, but the idea that he's PTW is comical. Go play him perkless for 10 games and see how many of those games you 4k5Gens.

Anyone caught the fact Judgement was probably allowed to be taken by the entity bc she committed a sin of pride ? She was sent by higher deity to punish or judge mortals who had began to reach a level of power and tech similar to Gods. But then Judgement in her lore seems to eventually be worshipped by a cult which then she starts to act like she is a god herself. Like when you hit someone sometimes she will say "I AM A GOD" when in reality…no she isn't she's basically a Principality or Seraphim so an angel not a god.
Maybe that's why in the end the gods sided with Aurora and made her a beacon of hope for her people. (It's not confirmed but imo the gods started to turn away from Judgement as it grew more and more aggressive and zealous which is why Aurora was spared and you see her glowing bc similar to the movie Constantine, I think the gods stopped supporting Judgement)Wrong subforum so this may get moved to the Lore section, but this is a really interesting take! I think there's a lot of truth in there to pull from and since the lore is structured around Biblical verses from different books, religions, and chapters and verses, it makes this really neat patchwork quilt of lore that is unlike anything we've had in DBD.
I especially love that Aurora, despite being a truly good and righteous person who led her people and the repentant Arbiters to safety and prosperity, ultimately leaves her people behind due to the Exile and after the Entity yoinks both her and the Judgment, her people turn into absolute puritanical monsters.
It reminded me of the way Fremen react in Dune after Paul Atreides becomes Emperor of the universe. They turn into fanatical, genocidal legions that kill in his family's name, despite his "good" intentions.

IIRC, they have never used mocap ever and only recently are using facial scans for textures (Rick, Michonne, etc), it sucks that they didn't break their own rules for DHT but I trust Leone when he said he is blown away by the way they've depicted DHT's physicality as Art in early progress updates.

100% agreed, and IDC if it's anti-business and pro-consumer, make the Valkyrie Armor basekit so we can get a really gnarly and badass P6 outfit for her instead of her casual fit from T2. I'll buy every single Terrifier cosmetic BHVR (you already have my money in the form of Auric Cells), but having bloody armor for Sienna would make her the DBD Surv with by FAR the best prestige cosmetic in the game.

1. David Howard Thorton has confirmed he unfortunately didn't do any Mocap or other work to realize Art in the fog, but did mention the DBD team has been painstakingly hard at work recreating his likeness and mannerisms for the character. We'll see how it goes since DBD is infamously rough with faces at times, but I have faith in the team to handle this.
2. I agree. A clown suddenly packing heat is one of Arts most iconic and best bits. Even parodies of the character like Needles in Fear and Hunger 2 does it. In some form, this should included, even if it's just in the Mori or smt.
3. I also agree. As someone whose two most anticipated characters were Springtrap and Jason, and who doesn't favor the design of ranged killers, I'd be a bit miffed if Art was added to the list. His personality is 100% an up in your face torturer, he can't be a distance killer.
4. We've seen a lot more increased gore from the devs in recent years, I heard Art is going to the most brutal character in the game by far. Here's hoping they follow through on it.
5. Yes, and for basically every reason you described.
6. Can we get the Terrifier Horror House added from the movie? Even it's to a prexisting map, it would be sick to loop around it in the fog.
Regarding #6, as someone who went to HHN Hollywood and got to see "The Terrifier" haunted house in real life, it blew my mind and made me so giddy as not just a Terrifier fan but as a horror fan. Would be awesome to see it added to DBD in some capacity (outside of just the lobby).

This is why their licensed killers like Jason are pay to win. Gotta keep those profits high. @TheGoon224 said:
Literally just a list of Everything I want in the Terrifier chapter because I care far too much about this and my autism wont let me sleep until I do so. Here we go.
- Art needs to be as expressive as he is in the films, both physically and facially. Art’s personality is and sheer range of expressiveness is the most defining thing about him. I honestly that maybe they could even get David Howard Thorton to do Mocap for Art’s face idk but this is something that must be included in the chapter nonetheless, and I do hope that Jason’s really stiff animations were just a fluke and don’t affect the quality of Art.
- Art should have his Gun. This is probably the only weapon that Art consistently has in the majority of his movies, but this does not mean he should be ranged killer by any means. I’m not sure how they would implement his gun as a mechanic but I think having it as a last resort mechanic would be something both new and thematic.
- Brought this up in the previous section kinda but Art should not be a ranged killer primarily because it just doesn’t fit him unless you really want the gun to be his primary power, which would just not work since it’s only used as a last resort for him or just when he’s flat out pissed. The majority of this guy is films involved in torturing and killing people up close I just don’t think it fits them to be sniping people halfway across the map.
- I would genuinely be surprised if art didn’t have some of the goriest kills in the game. So all I gotta say is these kills gotta be absolutely sublime.
- The survivor for this chapter should without hesitation be Sienna Shaw. She has been the main character for 2 films now and has been traumatized and tortured by Art. She has the biggest connection with Art in the trilogy, It has to be Her.
Anyways, that’s kind of it. I just kinda wanted to vomit out all of my thoughts. I could go on about how i want him to use multiple weapons when it comes to his power, but I think I rambled on for long enough that and I just wanted to get my autism fueled thoughts out there. So yeah that’s about it.
1000% agreed with pretty much all points here. Sienna is a must and would be a near perfect DBD survivor addition. Art also needs to be so well characterized that it feels like DHT is in the Trial with the Survs.

I’m ready for this take to age milk but here goes. I can totally see DBD entering a golden age within 1-3 years.
While the last 2 years have been a bit rough for us veteran players and questionable balance choices left and right; bhvr is starting to make strides towards the long term finally.
Blight finally got nerfs that affected him, Jason’s kill rates are leveling out, they’re nerfing thrill, nowhere to hide, vigil and SB, we’re getting a massive perk balance patch soon, they’re finally looking at perks outside of a vacuum. While things suck right now with both sides of the player base at each other throats and queue times being awful due the survivor shortage, I believe we’re about to see a renaissance of players who adapt and show tolerance to the game (it may sound incredibly naive, but it’s how I genuinely feel right now)
I think we need this shake up, to force the bad apples out so we can start anew, and then once that graphics overhaul hits and custom game browser is implemented, and that new tutorial system & comm wheel (chefs kiss btw) I see nothing but potential.
Again while things are rough right now, I’m sure it’ll all be worth it soon, call me crazy, but I’ll take necessary evils in the short term if it means more long term health any day, I can deal with a few slugging ghouls and hex Jason’s for the time being.Have zero idea why an ounce of positivity on this forum is met with that many downvotes lmao
I agree with you almost entirely, the 10 Year Anniversary Stream/Event showcased so many new and wonderful things that we can expect from the game and I truly believe that once we get those modding tools and the total game rewrite in our hands: DBD will outlive us all.
YES, for the DeBbie(D)-Downers in this godawful forum, the Black Banquet sucked and there are overtuned perks for Killers that should be addressed ASAP. But I refuse to let that tamper my joy in seeing Jason get into the Fog, the Judgment and Aurora hit main servers in a few days, and one of my all-time DREAM chapters in the form of Terrifier make it into the game. Pair that with Frank Stone being actualized, the liminal Mall map inspired by the Oldest View, and other goodies, I have total optimism in DBD's future for the first time in YEARS.

Lol, dude dead hard kinda sucks.
It's objectively worse than it originally was but it's a flat-out unabashed lie to say it "kinda sucks". It's a great exhaustion perk and easily in the Top Three, if not Top Two. It's a phenomomal exhaustion perk and if used well can extend chases for god knows how long. It also makes the EGC trivially easy if you can chain DH together with the basekit BT off hook.
Also the 5th most used Surv perk in the game according to NightLight btw.

then the Nemesis/Clown/Freddy can experience the same thing survivors experience on a regular basis in picking perks and having them become relatively useless. This game is impossible to balance, and so much so that when something gets nerfed, whether for killer or survivor, it just makes the game state worse for the affected party without getting better. DBD is not a MOBA and there's no reason stuff should be balanced to perfection. enforcing such a focus on these things are ruining the game state for everyone. how about put the effort into actually shaking the core gameplay up, its been stale for years… I don't want another survivor reskin or the next antiloop killer I want to see the game move closer towards the "Survive a slasher" setting that it takes place in. People had loads of fun with F13 and it wasn't balanced, people had loads of fun with TCM and Evil Dead too, they were confined in a way DBD isn't by professing a single genre. there is so much that they could do with DBD to vitalize the core idea rather than cause problems by altering perks that shouldn't be the central part of gameplay anyway. 2v8 is the most fun a lot of people have in DBD anymore and thats because the game is unserious again and not oppressively competitive for people who never asked for that.
Nerfing three mediocre killers isn't going to make the game better, my dude, Vigil does nothing against a good Nurse, Blight, Ghoul, Henry, etc etc etc, however the B and C tiers that it directly affects definitely needed the nerf, mhm /s

I understood Michael being absent to preserve the mystery and interpretation of the character, since at the time he didn't have an official design beyond silhouette and knowing what he was about required proper understanding of the life.
Then the second movie came out and made a complete mockery of his character for the sake of one the cheapest and most laughable plot twists ever put to film. Seriously, FNaF 2 is one of the funniest movies ever made and it is entirely unintentional on the movies part.
A proper interpretation of game Michael in DBD would become my new survivor main 100% no questions asked. Maybe alongside adding Elizabeth?
It's such a bummer too because Freddy Carter in terms of casting is pre-scoop Michael, he's grimey and scrawny and has that Afton family charm to him. But the writing that they forced that poor guy to read and act out is just… FNAF is a joke and Scott is his own worst enemy.

then why should multiple killers have powers that not only impact but totally remove survivor counterplay? The Plague from the outset thrashes every altruism build and provides a mechanic that BM's the survivor team as counterplay. but yeah man its a travesty when a survivor perk helps get over hindered a little quicker. one by one viable survivor builds to actually outlast the unbearably common killer meta of forcing a tunnel early so its a 3v1 so that its literally just the same few build options on people over and over again. if the justification for killer powers that cause unwanted effects to survivors is that "they are supposed to kill them" then its the same for survivors who are "supposed to survive". how is it a bad design to give survivors a tool to survive… I don't even use a flashlight but Survivors are given a total of Six Item options, half of which are horrible anyway, and Lightborn totally removes the functionality of one of those items? Double Standard. I dont even care that lightborn exists personally, but if we're removing mechanics because they negatively impact the other side then we better start removing them from killers too.
I get the comparison but when was the last time you saw a Plague? She's the 12th least picked Killer according to Night Light and aside from seeing her in the Banquet event to counter instaheals, she's by no means a popular pick. I get that running a full build and seeing her sucks, but so does running Lightborn against a team that last minute switches off of their Flashlights to Toolboxes. There's BS on both sides, without a shadow of a doubt, but I refuse to step down from the argument that Vigil was incredibly free and had so much fat on it for the sake of it.
Am I wrong to say that when you came across a Freddy or Clown or even a Nemesis/Unknown while running Vigil that you got excited because you knew that one perk effectively counters the entirety of their hindered?

If I had a nickel everytime a highly anticipated licensed killer came to the game with a projectile nobody wanted in their kit, i'd have two nickels. Seriously though….. why does Jason have a projectile in the first place? In the films he does most of the killing up close and besides the times he's killed someone with a bow, his machete by flinging itwhen he's set aflame, a throwing axe, a harpoon gun, those feel like outliers and it does not make sense for him to have such a focus on that when you know….. Friday the 13th game had the perfect Jason gameplay right there to take inspiration from. He only had throwing knives in that game and it barely made a difference in gameplay. The very annoying thing is that Jason is half perfect, the omnipresent evil is 100% perfect, but he is just soiled by the horrible addition of a goddamn projectile. Also lets bring up the elephant in the room and that on paper Jason and Springtrap are basically identical killers. Lets not pretend otherwise.
He literally throws a javelin across a warehouse sized room in Jason X. It's more in character for him than Pyramid Head's rebar wave or Nemesis' tentacle whip (that doesn't grapple or trip you like it does in RE3R) or even Afton's fireaxe.

Getting a FNaF rift would be interesting, potentially showing character interactions with the Pizzeria in the fog, or giving a unique lens to certain game events like Afton being springlocked or his family dynamic.
The team still has yet to follow up on Foxy being absent, which has sprouted a conspiracy/cope theory from me that he was initially intended as a Blight skin but is being saved for a chapter of his own (Please don't do the Mimic for the love of God). Could be included or timed to coincide with a rift depending on which it is.
Him aside, Burning Springtrap feels like a no-brainer skin to be added imo (they added Gooptrap first for crying out loud), and the Mimic or Ennard could work as solid legendary/viscerals if chosen.
FNaF aside, a Silent Hill or RE rift would open my wallet too
Anything for Michael Afton. Seriously, I am never going to let go how disappointing it is that Scott wants the PC to be faceless despite giving him multiple appearances throughout minigames and cutscenes (sorta). And with DBD being the darkest FNAF has EVER and presumably WILL ever get, it's a colossal bummer that the purple corpse that is being fueled by Remnant and rage isn't allowed to join his dad in the Entity's realm.

Freddy's license seems to be dead
But they appear to be in good terms with the Resident Evil one, is it possible we got a rift about them ?
Short answer: yeah
Long answer: If you follow the pattern of the last four rifts, it has been - OG (Reverence), Licensed (ST Vol 2), Licensed (Darkest Dungeon), Original (Sunflesh). It appears that the current Rift system is doing a 2:1 ratio for Licensed to OG. Will it continue that trend? Maybe, maybe not, I wouldn't bet on anything regarding consistency when it comes to BHVR. But its clear in the last 4 Rifts that I mentioned which two were almost universally loved and which two have been… polarizing to say the least.
What licenses can we anticipate?
Saw Part 2 is a safe bet since BHVR and Lionsgate are making out sloppy style almost every day at this point.
Resident Evil - Capcom loves BHVR and if they can charge players something (unlike free P100 icons lol), they'll probably bite.
Silent Hill - Very surprised this one hasn't happened yet given how fun Dominus for Castlevania was.
Jason/Chucky - When not if, these two are solo killer money makers in terms of cosmetics.
Ringu - Hopefully someday, both Sadako and Yoichi deserve it.
And probably more I'm spacing on currently but we gotta also consider Licensed Cosmetic collabs that are Rift exclusive like Darkest Dungeon, so the amount of licensed Rift options are hypothetically infinite.

Middle-point: Basekit WGLF and BBQ's old BP quests without the perks.
Those quests create a win-condition without requiring the opponent loses, and I fully believe that that is incredibly healthy, and that its removal did way more damage than people realise.
Agreed, I think any improvement to the base BP economy would be a net boon to the community and I love the idea of ingame rewards/incentives for a certain playstyle

He's getting supposedly new and exciting changes sometime SoonTM, I would say if its not in the Oct midchapter itll be December/Jan at the earliest.

I feel like T1 had more of a "horror" theme going for it than basically every Terminator movie after that. The franchise essentially became sci-fi/action rather than scifi/ horror.
That being said... T1000 really opens up what they can do for cosmetics and abilities.
Oh 1000%, I'm just thinking gameplay-wise the T1000 feels more fitting for DBD but you are spot on that T1 has a sci-fi slasher vibe too that was unfortunately lost almost immediately after T1 and parts of T2.

So the game is over a decade old now and that's quite impressive especially given it's only become more and more popular, but realistically, how much life do you believe DBD has left?
Another 10? More? Less?
Interested to hear your thoughts and why.
Well, with the creation of Modding Tools and official BHVR support, the total game rewrite/revamp, and the dozens of licenses probably in queue currently (as well as all the new, cool things that will be popularized in the next 5-10 years), I truly think DBD may be at a point where unless BHVR truly, undoubtably turns violent on their community (which probably won't happen), I think DBD is too big to fail at this point.
TF2 despite everything is still kicking and that's because the community loves the game and showcases that through all the community driven maps, modes, cosmetics, events, etc etc. I think DBD come 2028 will look pretty similar.

That Gif is AI fake.
Just showing an example.
T-1000 definitely feels more DBD coded than the T-800 despite Arnold, I just wish BHVR did more non-human survs because an intentionally gimped T-800 (T2) would be a great way to have Arnie in DBD, but maybe they're saving him for Dutch.

I get the sentiment but having to run perks for BP is slapping a band-aid over a bullet hole. BP gains should be increased across the board and transparency about the BP economy (quest rewards, codes, Anniv Cake debacle) should be prioritized. As someone who ran BBQ every single game for YEARS because of the BP bonus, I would love if it never came back so I have the freedom for build diversity.

Am I just an outlier? Is this just a case where I found the killer I mesh with the best? Im pretty sure if anything, the upcoming perk changes might end up BUFFING my setup if anything. A spies buff would be cool. What does his average stats look like?
I think you just genuinely found a Killer you vibe with heavily. The entire Jason gameplay loop is immensely satisfying and it's no lie that he is super easy to pick up and get results with, but he's definitely one of the only killers I've played since I started in 2016 that feels sooooooooo good across pretty much every aspect of the Trial. But is he unbeatable? No, I've gotten my teeth kicked in by smart survs who read my Spikes correctly and deny me jumpscare value and know how to punish me dropping chase. He's not overpowered, he's strong, which is a wholly different thing.

"Nerfed like jason"?
You mean have a couple of addons tweaked? And have his ability to camp hooks improved?
Jason didn't receive a meaningful nerf, certainly not in the way he should've been nerfed. Literally all they did was reign in a couple of his more busted addons. Barely.
And they removed the return to hook slowdown when coming out of omnipresent even if he's vertically above or below the hook. So they actually slightlybuffed his ability to camp hooks. Especially basement hook.
Complaints were and still are valid. Jason is a very overpowered and easy to use killer. Strongest single ranged attack in the game, spammable fast traversal with free info and strongest set of add ons I've ever seen. He could do with some proper balancing to make him fair to go against.
You're talking about Jason like he's release Kaneki/Krasue. He's strong but by no stretch of the imagination unbeatable, most of his bustedness can be derived from those add-ons which WERE too strong and too free (Badge and Sauna Ronk) but those have both been properly tuned down, although a badge rework isn't a bad idea, as well as the Thrill-Penti Hex Build that everyone runs.
Base-kit Jason with normal addons and a normal perk build is just a more mobile Afton with an objectively strong projectile that is still 100% dodgeable and reactable. I am going to get dogpiled for having an opinion that doesn't encourage this belief that Jason is busted but I truly stand by it. At most, nerf his ability to lodge a hook spike in a Surv that just got off hook to prevent tunnelling but other than that, man is fine.

Ppl claiming Jason was nerfed because his addons got tweeked, which includes some nerfs and some buffs will never not make me eye roll.
No literally, I think he's pretty well-balanced after 2ish months of him being ingame but the guy was never technically "nerfed", just had his incredibly strong (and broken) addons adjusted.

la llorona!!!
Would be awesome, Latin rep in DBD is severely lacking (Artist counts but her lore is R.U.F.F. and Jonah is a war criminal lmao), a fullly Mexican themed chapter with La Llorona and a Brujo/Bruja surv would be rad.
Honestly, BHVR should take notes from LA's HHN lineup and do one of the legends in their own style a la Krasue and Baba Yaga Huntress.

Everything except Army of Darkness is from now on represented by StudioCanal in terms of licensing the franchise going forward. It's also something that happened after bhvr's existing license was made and without a full on re-negotiation, we won't get anything from the other installments.
Okay, good to know AoD is still the white whale of the franchise. Regarding the current license negotiation, that makes sense but I truly hope that BHVR renegs the deal someday so we can get Evil Dead 2 Chosen One Ash because that has always been my dream DBD cosmetic.
-
100%, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the Evil Dead franchise for the first time ever, ALL under one banner? And since BHVR gave Ash a proper P100 badge and not the RE treatment, I think new Ash content is a matter of when and not if (hopefully).

I think they are adding Xenomorph to the mode next time. Not 100% sure about that but heard it somewhere.
The first thing OP said is they don't want spoilers and yet… lmfao
