Do you think DBD will have the T-1000 from the Terminator in the future?

That Gif is AI fake.

  • Not sure but the finger thru the skull mori is pretty sick. Poor Dwight.

  • He was my most used character in mortal kombat 1 lol i'm curious if most would prefer T-1000 or T-800 for dbd

  • The killer turning into different survivors and using those cosmetics for the mori is a cool idea. Not sure how viable it would really be though since they'd have to set up the skeleton rigging for every survivor model to move correctly.

  • BHVR may of burned that bridge with Deathgarden.

  • T-1000 definitely feels more DBD coded than the T-800 despite Arnold, I just wish BHVR did more non-human survs because an intentionally gimped T-800 (T2) would be a great way to have Arnie in DBD, but maybe they're saving him for Dutch.

I feel like T1 had more of a "horror" theme going for it than basically every Terminator movie after that. The franchise essentially became sci-fi/action rather than scifi/ horror.

That being said... T1000 really opens up what they can do for cosmetics and abilities.

Oh 1000%, I'm just thinking gameplay-wise the T1000 feels more fitting for DBD but you are spot on that T1 has a sci-fi slasher vibe too that was unfortunately lost almost immediately after T1 and parts of T2.

I feel like most of it is because every movie after T1 had a terminator as a protagonist. You feel a whole lot more exposed when the guardian character is just some guy named Kyle.

    Def T-1000

  • I'd be happy to see a Terminator chapter but if ever they do a killer with morphing abilities, I hope they reserve it for The Thing

  • Like the gif.

T-800 could work but he is basically just a robot with a laser gun. Also he turned into the good guy… so i think maybe not.

T-1000 is the other iconic villain with more variety. With T-X as legendary.

Only that this ability is similar to Vecna2 now. Melting and moving the puddle around.

  • I'd rather have the T-800 as a Killer instead, with the chapter being entirely focused on Terminator 1 only.

I vastly prefer terminator 1 but the t1000 has a lot more stuff to base a power on compared to the t800 who doesn't really have any unique abilities

I can think of multiple different power ideas one could give the T-800.

    • The Infrared Optics/Termo-vision of the T-800 that we see in Terminator 1, which can be used for information gathering of objects and other stuff around the map, as well as for tracking the Survivors accurately.
    • The fact that its an infiltration unit, means you can do something stealth related with it. Such as having the T-800 start with its human disguise with no terror radius. Then as the trial progresses, the more it gets stunned, the more it gets damaged. Which causes it to lose more and more of its skin & tissue of its human disguise, causing its terror radius to increase everytime. Until in the end, only the endoskeleton of the T-800 remains. Just like through in the Terminator 1 film.
    • An ability that mixes The Judgment's Hopeless Exile area, the void area of the Haunted by Daylight event and Nightfall meter from Dredge. A mechanic that once the progress bar around the Survivors are full, everyone including the T-800 gets temporarily teleported to the future battlefield of Los Angeles in the year 2029. Where no generators can be repaired and the area is filled with map hazards and other bad things that can damage Survivors. The Survivors must then escape the place by either finding and entering a time displacement machine to return back to the trial, regardless of which health state they're in, or get hooked by the T-800 in the area itself, where they will then automatically send them back to the trial.
    • A mode that the T-800 can activate by fulfilling certain requirements, which would function similarly to Singularity's overclock mode, but not entirely.
    • Allowing the T-800 to be able to request assistance from Skynet, by having it send other Terminators to the trial as support units. Where the T-800 can give them different commands to aid it, and if Survivors gets too close to the support units, they will start chasing after the Survivors. However in return, Survivors can destroy the support units by stunning them or have the support units automatically disappears by waiting long enough.

T-1000 may have a more clear cut power, but if it ain't the T-800, then i don't want it.

Im sorry... i was full on reading this until I got to "the future battlefield of Los Angeles of 2029. That made me laugh too hard. Older movies dates for the future really dont age well.

We never did get any flying cars or hoverboards back in 2015 like Back To The Future 2 said we would.
