You always say how it is important to provide survivors with information, if they are affected by hex perk, status effect, even somehow showing other survivor's rbt timer. Then there are obsession "tentacles", not sure how the others know killer is obsessed with a certain survivor as soon as the game starts, but w/e. Idk, this just randomly popped into my head. Make cleansing any kind of Totem require 3 tremendously difficult Skill Checks as well. And i mean the special kind, the ones without Great Skill Check Zones. Failing one won't make noise, but progress completely resets. I have a question for those in favor of disconnect penalties. What about killing yourself on the hook? By which I mean, getting hooked, attempting escape 3 times to get yourself to the struggle stage, and not struggling, resulting in your immediate demise. I'm currently rank 1 survivor rank 3 killer and heres what I think. Killer's need to monitor gens. If that means playing hit and run with sloppy then you do what you gotta do. If you devote enough time to a survivor chase to allow them to gen rush you thats your fault not the devs for taking an annoying perk like ruin and making it less annoying. Alright, this is getting out of hand now. Getting hit at windows when I shouldn't be, killers not being able to grab properly (already made a bug report on it) and lunge attacks not lining up to where the killer swings. If the killer body blocks a survivor such that the survivor cannot move at all call it SOFT LOCKING . This is a term used in other games to describe a situation where the player is stuck indefinitely in one place and the only way to get out of it is to quit the game (see Mario Maker) . One of the chief complaints is that generators get done too fast and people think NOED is toxic, although I disagree with NOED being toxic. Why don't people use bitter murmurs as a way to see where the survivors are? I've been a survivor main for a long time and am still pretty new to playing killer, and it seems like a useful perk when gens are being done so quickly. Straight to the point: As someone who ALWAYS get a match-error midway through a game, killer and survivor, this sucks. I will not only get a penalty for something that initially is not my fault but the game's, but depip too. Unless this is fixed soon, this DC penalty will not work and will unfairly get people and their groups banned from matchmaking for a period of time. 2 friends of mine are having issues where their game will freeze while in the loading screen about to enter a game. It ranges from once per day to every other game. They've both taken steps to try to solve the issue but haven't managed to do so. I think a DC penalty should be in place. It hurts the survivor side by basically giving the killer a free kill, but hurts the killer by not giving them any points. It isnt fun for both sides. However, as of this moment, I would say they need to fix the idea of DC versus losing connection. I really don't get it. Was playing a level 5 Wraith with two garbage perks. One DC'd probably a good 10 mins in,so I don't think it was afk. The second DC'd the first time I hooked him. The third guy died on the hook. The last guy made me pretty mad tbh. He made no attempt to escape or use the hatch. I had really no way of finding him with my perks. While Scott Jund's idea has merits, it is fundamentally BROKEN! Why is it broken? Because the chase mechanic is 100% unreliable. Why do you think Mend no longer uses it. Instead, change the mechanic to Pause End when a player is downed. When any downed player gets up, the mechanic Resumes in full effect.
