It’s because the devs have made survivors so entitled from catering to them for so long. It’s gonna be a painful bandaid to rip off but the devs just gotta get it over with.

There are too many instances of legitimately unintentional disconnects from the server to justify handing out bans. People need to quit encouraging bans as the solution for any and all issues. The loss of blood points etc is already a consequence of disconnecting from a game and they have already implemented a penalty system that can lead to a ban if your profile has x amount of disconnects.
losing blood points wont do anything survivors and killers dont keep there blood points for dcing so what makes u think that well fix the problem the devs said they have a system in play that picks up a random dc and a rage quit so therefore banning the rage quitters is not that hard
I could agree to something that actually takes the piss out of someone intentionally disconnecting. Part of why I think people DC is because they KNOW it pisses other players off. If the frequently DC they apparently don't enjoy the game enough to really care about a possible ban. Implementing more of a bonus for the killer when survivors DC, and same for survivors when killers DC. Make it so the opposing side doesn't LOSE anything but rather GAIN something from it.
But if they already have a system in play that can determine intentional dc from accidental dcs and have yet to actually do anything to resolve the issue, only proves said system is apparently flawed or they just simply don't care enough to do anything about it right now.devs dont care for killers anyway so why ban rage quitting survivors devs dont care i mean look at the amount of bs us killer mains take from the community this is why i want the devs to start doing there job and banning rage quitters and not being the survivor loving losers that they are
I definitely understand the frustration for sure and agree that something needs to be done. Whether you're survivor main, killer main or have no preference at all... DC should not prove to be a way to successfully get revenge on the opposing side all because the game didn't go the way the disconnecting individual wanted. Its purely done out of nothing else but spite it should be of higher priority than cutesy cosmetics or new content for damn sure!

Here is my suggestion, dont change struggling directly since baby killers will start screaming "BOYCOTT", instead, make it so if a killer knocks someone down and then leaves to chase another survivor, whatever amount they recover gets put toward the struggle meter. If you recover 50%, make the struggle meter either fill up 50% quicker, or just start it at about 50%. This will stop the abused system of leaving a survivor to bleed out when only two are left and the killer refuses to let the hatch open. It will also make the killer need to be quicker when hooking a downed survivor.
To whoever responds, dont just say "NO!!!!!", please give examples of why you oppose this. Im a killer main, and also dabble in survivor. I ABUSE THE HELL out of this flawed bleedout system. Whenever i have two survivors left, i NEVER EVER EVER hook the 2nd to last downed player until i secure the last one. It is beyond cheap.

I know there's a lot of hate for SWF, but I only play survs when I am in an SWF with friends and we go out of our way to NOT be toxic. We always say gg even if the killer facecamped. As a killer, I see just as much toxicity from solos as from SWF.
Honestly, SWF isnt the problem IMO. Toxicity and a total lack of oversight or enforcement of "rules" around "bannable offenses" that is the real problem here.
I realize SWF gives a lot of advantages, but there is no way to get rid of it now. 70% of survivors are in an SWF, so removing it would only kill the game and the determined folks who stuck around would find ways to still play together and use comms. Really, the devs just need to start balancing arou d the reality of SWF and make comms easy to opt-in for solos.
That's just my opinion. You may now commence flaming.
I concur entirely!

DS guarantees when the skillcheck is hit that you get to "kick off" but doesn't guarantee an escape. Killers add-ons and some who have their ability be an "insta down" type, guarantees a down but not a hook or a kill. I think its balanced pretty well as is considering this is an asymmetrical style game.
Only difference is, survivors disconnect the moment they get insta downed.
I know right?! Every game I've played today as killer has had at least 1 DC... When I play survivor I RARELY see killers DC. So I feel ya on that one 😹

It's ok, the life of a killer is a lonely one Lol -

Verbal #########?! Really? Is that like forcing words into a vagina? Lmao that has to be a joke

The problem isn't SWF...
The problem is people having temper tantrums as soon as the game (on either side) isn't turning out in THEIR favor. People don't seem to play to learn new strategies or to further improve their skill level... Its either "I come out on top or ill ruin it for everyone". Ever been to a kids bday party and there's always that one kid there who just can't fathom that its not all about him? The people who DC are those same kids. -

Only thing I want is for Survivors to not be able to body block the hook prompt. If it’s “an exploit” of a game mechanic for Killers, it’s the same for Survivors.Give Killers the swivel hooksYeah, i never understood why they do different rules on the same issue.
Or why a 50kg Claudette can body block a 150kg Trapper. He would kick her IRL and she wouldn´t be able to recover for the next 30 seconds. How sweet it would be to have a kick option when the survivors are hovering around 😌 that'd make for some satisfying gameplay lmao

Do know I just want to see what others think on this topic. They obviously exploit this spot on purpose. Every toxic survivor does that. Just slug them to death.
It seems like the only logical answer... for those who answered else do know he is the only survivor left...! But whatever, it makes sense that all I can do is to slug them, kind of sad devs did nothing even after such time, oh well.
Yeah, sadly the devs focus more on nerfs and buffs, cutesy cosmetics and future content rather than fixing core issues within the game itself. If you look at the main topics you will see more of the above mentioned stuff being bitched about 😕 sadly until more people put more focus on it, there seems to be no plan to fix it.

I get what you're saying and I agree that bbq & chill is a very weak aura reading perk IF a killer isn't fully aware of how survivors can turn it around on them. No one can predict as the killer, what the survivors are bringing to the game... So no matter what you have to strategize ways to "work around" their strategy. This is where I find playing both sides to be so beneficial. Play survivor enough and as killer you'll know where to go first to find a survivor, the go to methods and overall predicabilty and strategize diff ways to work around them. Play enough killer and you'll better learn how to survive in the same sense. It won't always work but then again there's always room for improvement. I'm not saying its always "fair" but you'll eventually find ways to have a better outcome for your preferred playing style rather than leaving the game bitter and feeling the need to put the blame elsewhere. That's just my take on it because I've come to face the fact there will always be SOMETHING that proves to be nothing more than pure bullshit... Its what I make of it however that defines the outcome for me.

Its what the opposing side makes of the situation after these are implemented that says something about their skills. For me, what defines a skilled player is their adapabilty and ability to have the match end in their favor regardless of what the other side brings to the game. I play both sides tho so before I complain I look at and compare what both sides have and base my opinion on that before seeing it as a valid complaint or just a salty one
Fair statement. It is honestly about the ability to adapt regardless of what the opposing side bring whether it is DS or NOED.
Exactly 😸 expand your skill beyond that of your go to or comfort zone and adjust your strategy accordingly. Then lets talk about skill and whether or not one is a good/ bad player lol.
-
Best advice I can give is to get everyone else and get them last or put your main focus on them (I can justify camping if its to counter an exploit) Get them downed & they'll either bleed out where they lay, DC & allow you to move on, or try to crawl to get help/ find the hatch which will get you within closer range to a hook.
I had a match where a guy was staying crouched in a corner where I couldn't reach him. I ended up having everyone else escape but I got my revenge which in cases like these for me is more satisfying than knowing the smug bastards attempt was successful...The glitch:
https://youtu.be/1SRPu-SVQdgThe outcome:
https://youtu.be/1seaKgqN-7IBest of luck 😸
-
A win for me as killer is getting anything besides "entity displeased"...
For survivor its either escaping or having done enough productive actions in the game to get a healthy chunk of blood points.
I think there can be matches where both sides come out with a "win" because of the asymmetrical game style. -

Had a guy using a glitch that caused me not to be able to reach him... It wasn't far from where the hatch was. He sat there half the match and I knew after the others left he'd have to move. Ended up catching him and hanging him beside the hatch ❤

Itd be pretty cool if he could go to the basement to refill them... Like if they were hanging on the wall. Perks like saboteur and small game make his traps useless. If he were able to lay more down, survivors would be forced to either spend their time sabotaging the traps or do gens etc. But on the other hand I can see where the killer could abuse the refill ability as well.Maybe putting a cap on the # of traps that can be placed on the map? Maybe a slight rework on the sabo perk? Idk but trapper daddy needs a buff that will make him better adjusted to the game as it it's now vs how it was.

I am kinda tired honestly.Yeah it gets pretty bad... If people would stop reporting others over petty ######### the reports would actually be taken seriously.

Welcome to the product of a "everyone gets a trophy" generation lolOrion said:The fact that Survivors are legitimately suggesting they should be rewarded (with points) for failure (being hooked and dying) speaks volumes about their entitled nature.
You are not making the Killer camp you. The Killer made a choice to camp you. You are not entitled to a reward because you failed. This is like giving the Killer points if everyone escaped.
-
Love how when people debate these topics, some try to apply "real life" logic to their survivor/killer strategy lmao. If that even applied, think of all the possible things a survivor could use on maps to actually eliminate the killer... in the killer aspect, you could grab and drag 2 survivors lurking around a hooked survivor. Back rubs wouldn't heal having been impailed by a hook, a hatchet to the back/ face, or being gouged/ sliced by a hammer or machete. So please leave real life strategy out of the equation. It in no way applies to the game. So tired of seeing arguments based on such logic on here lol

I play both sides to enjoy the specific aspects of playing each side. I'm a better killer, but switching it up is fun. Learning survivor tactics improves my killer skills. I'm still stuck in the "kinda potato" skill level as a survivor but having to work to get better makes it fun. Trying to learn stealth and evading techniques as a survivor lol its not going well. But I got the game to play all of it, not only experience half of what it has to offer. But that's just me lol

Don't care about the others but please don't punish trapper daddy by having Dwight wear his cosplay

How I personally feel about cutesy little cosmetics aside, its not up to me to decide how someone decides to spend their money. Nobody is being forced to buy or grind for these cosmetics... If someone wants them that doesn't have the $, at least there is a way to get them. Id rather have fixing ongoing issues be of a higher priority but, that's a different discussion.
