What if we directly nerfed the Survivor and Killer classes as a whole? No perk changes, wholesale changes. Base game changes. Ideas: 5% stacked penalty to gen speeds for every generator completed. Killers create map wide loud noise notifications for Survivors when they first activate their powers, break pallets or kick gens. 5% movement speed penalty while exhausted. Lunge distance is6 comments 131 views last activity

As long as there are no key or BNPs. Your chosen Killer is Blight, Nurse, Spirit, Pyramid Head, Twins or Huntress. And you run perks from this list: BBQ, Tinkerer, Pop, Ruin, Undying, Corrupt, Sloppy, Infectious or Thrilling. At high ranks at least, this should get a pretty reliable 3-4k every time. The second you start to deviate from this list your chances of winning decrease substantial21 comments 551 views last activity

Identifying weak links is a key strategy for Killer. So the game becomes unplayable if you're the newest/lowest rank Survivor in the lobby against a halfway decent Killer. Beating a weaker Survivor into the ground doesn't help them improve and it doesn't help the Killer improve either. Rank 9 tunneled, three hooked with a rage quit DC at 4 gens.3 comments 61 views last activity

I finally got Doctor as my last original Killer with shards. I'm a high rank Killer and have a good understanding of how to play the role, but I don't have any experience on Doctor yet. So any doctor specific tips anyone's got would be helpful for when I start learning him in the future!10 comments 111 views last activity

RPD is probably the most confusing map in the game and players need time to learn it. Disabling offerings and giving it a low pickrate just makes it worse because all three games I've got it I'm just like what the heck is going on. I want to learn the map (even if it is badly balanced)28 comments 451 views last activity

Tonight when I was playing solo queue, I noticed a lot of Decisive Strikes so I made quick montage of back to back games with shadowplay recordings. All red rank games and killers. https://youtu.be/Yiu0PHMlhiU Every person who used DS escaped the match. Not sure why people want to buff it.6 comments 81 views last activity

Think about it. An M1 Killer that can run six perks instead of four. Maybe 115. Or the Devs could play with something slightly higher like 117.5% or 120%. But the Killer would have no power whatsoever just M1 and extra perks.12 comments 111 views last activity

If a Survivor Dead Hards for distance, its not actually anything crazy because another exhaustion perk used earlier in chase could’ve given them even more distance, or they could have made that distance over time with haste from Hope/Blood Pact. The reason Killers hate Dead Hard for distance is because the speed happens in a quick burst so it looks like their hit is being taken away, when in re32 comments 551 views last activity

Perks like Deliverance, Decisive Strike, Unbreakable, Soul Guard, Power Struggle and Adrenaline are all really overrated. When they activate, these perks are all easily some of the strongest in the game. But people always forget that these perks don’t get value every game. They’re super inconsistent and picking them gives a strong possibility of having a dead perk slot. If it can’t be used ev14 comments 161 views last activity

Spine Chill pretty much prevents free hits from being out of position and makes sure the Killer has to work to down you. Also, its 6% boost is always nice for nail-biting vaults, gens, totem cleansing and heals. It’s not quite as flashy as Unbreakable or Adrenaline, but a good Killer will definitely have moments where they notice they’re at a disadvantage because a Survivor is using Spine Chill36 comments 531 views last activity

Lets be honest. Current Self-Care is unhealthy for the game and encourages bad habits for Survivors. So lets rework it. Self-Care Passively gain a health state when injured after 96 seconds. This perk would function differently from Second Wind and would gradually move the health bar so you could speed up the heal by choosing to actively heal (with a medkit or teammates) without losing the p1 comments 31 views last activity

Trickster downs in 6 knives instead of 8 knives. He also has larger activation window for Main Event and the startup animation is significantly faster. No Way Out only activates when a Survivor actually touches an exit gate for the first time. It's duration has been increased as well. Crowd Control got a 6 second increase in how long it blocks windows. The Survivor cosmetic updates are better11 comments 181 views last activity

It seems pretty frequent in my Survivor games that people will use Blast Mine like Better Together. They're either using it randomly or trying to let other Survivors know where they are. Doesn't seem like it gets saved to use right before the Killer is gonna interrupt a gen that much, which is what I assumed the use would be from reading the perk.13 comments 362 views last activity

The anniversary is probably the time of the year where DBD players care the least about other people because they're looking to farm bloodpoints and crowns as their top priority. My build for 5th anniversary crowns is Fast Track, Dead Hard, Build to Last and Inner Strength with a BNP Wire Spool Commodious. I know that build is mean and I've noticed I have been a lot more petty/salty too because4 comments 101 views last activity

I had the first chase with the Killer and lasted quite a lot time. 2+ minutes since the map had a good setup and it was a Plague (so just a standard M1 Killer at the start of the game). The issue was that there was a Jane following me around the entire chase for the flashlight save (she was the Obsession and I had Blood Pact). I think she thought I would go down quickly but she just committed t19 comments 261 views last activity

Smash Hit is the exhaustion perk that you can run with another exhaustion perk. The key to Smash Hit's strength is that it never makes you exhausted unintentionally and it is VERY strong when it does get used. Killers do not expect multiple exhaustion perks and will play around the first exhaustion perk they see. If you use Smash Hit first, the Killer will play around that as your exhaustion, w6 comments 112 views last activity

I have A LOT of experience playing Trickster in red ranks and he has a very weird paradox: Trickster needs to commit heavily to chases AND stay in a small area of the map. Basically, he gets his first down and proxy camps the area because the knives can really ramp up quickly if they're used to interrupt a hook save. Camping is basically his only chance to snowball in any way and he loses a3 comments 91 views last activity

Survivors shouldn't lose points just because of the Killer's "playstyle." If no one is being chased and the Killer is forcing deaths on hook or trades, the game just doesn't really work at all. It's basically guaranteed below 20k points and a derank (safety if you brought BT and get lucky)25 comments 361 views last activity

Because of their extreme weakness to pallets and LOS blockers, Deathslinger players are often forced into super predictable shots. You can use that to your advantage to Dead Hard (or fake out) so the Slinger doesn’t get the razor thin margin shots that you need to make the Killer work. If Slinger is only getting shots out in the open or at weak loops, he’ll lose the game. His biggest boon is16 comments 201 views last activity

Right now, there's no way to show you're p3 if you're using a legendary skin. If the cosmetic glitch is truly over, there should really be some way to give the legendary skins a p3 variant. It would incentivize using the skin and getting p3 because legendary p3 would be super uncommon and special.6 comments 141 views last activity

My theory on boon totems is that they’re the reverse of hex totems. They activate strong perks for Survivors once they are found and cleansed. It’s an incentive to look for totems early-game instead of slamming generators. Essentially adding a new objective for Survivors that like risk/reward gameplay and bring boon perks. Here’s an idea for one: Boon: Long Run Cleanse a Boon Totem to act18 comments 181 views last activity

Trickster used to be the Killer that would always get frame drops for me when I played him. From the reloading animation, to the bat attack cooldown, to the transitions from knives to bat or even the transition in FOV from Monitor. It wasn't all the time but I had moments of major FPS drops pretty much every game I played Trickster. Now that I upgraded my graphics card, Trickster feels sooooo m3 comments 91 views last activity

2017- Huntress 2019- Plague 2020- Pyramid Head and Deathslinger 2021- Trickster and Nemesis Somehow it seems like the ideas for new killers have largely turned into: killer that throws/emits something that can hit from mid/long range with a few unique quirks.12 comments 131 views last activity

Altruism. An altruistic playstyle is objectively weak in DBD and its pretty much an instant sign you're not dealing with red ranks. The Survivor side isn't really a cooperative game its much more about self-sufficiency and spreading out. Being overly altruistic is detrimental more often than its helpful.38 comments 831 views last activity

The 4th anniversary crowns are event cosmetics that were only available during a limited period for all original characters. With the Devs confirming the 5th anniversary will come with different crowns, the 4th anniversary crowns will essentially become a new version of legacy. They'll get progressively more special over the years and people that missed out will never have an opportunity to get18 comments 171 views last activity

I feel like a lot of people are Survivor or Killer mains. They bought the game with one role in mind and never bothered with the other. How would someone that's only played one side know what they're better at or what their preferred playstyle is if they don't try everything?7 comments 101 views last activity

At Rank 1, I do a quick Ruin check and proceed to go totem hunting until it is found. Sometimes I have to find it by myself, but I’ve been noticing more and more people doing the same thing. It’s just not worth working on a generator early game if you get interrupted. All your progress will go to zero because of Ruin. Most Ruin games I play in have a slow start (similar to Corrupt games) whil11 comments 241 views last activity

S Tier Stranger Things- Allowed two Survivors in the same Chapter and has consistently approved new cosmetics for their characters (especially Demo since his skins are DBD specific and not tied to Stranger Things lore). Please don't give them hate for the Jonathan skin it's getting fixed and we don't want to scare them away with bad press. Detective's Hunch is better for totems plus it has added info the other two perks don't have. All it takes is one gen and a halfway decent memory to get a full view of the exact locations.4 comments 71 views last activity

Earlier today, Jonathan was disabled and temporarily disappeared from my inventory. This caused my character to revert to Steve. When Jonathan came back, I thought everything was fine. However, when I watched a replay of one of my games from a twitch streamer, I appeared as a Steve to them the entire game while appearing as Jonathan on my screen the entire game. Stridor Spirit is what makes the Killer unbalanced. She still has potential without hearing grunts of pain but it would require some really strong reads and perception skills. She'd end up more in Nurse territory where only dedicated mains with lots of hours could use her to her full potential. Wraith is at the point where his uncloak is essentially just a Pig Dash with less counterplay on the Survivor side. Does that mean Pig should get some heavy buffs or Wraith should get nerfed?31 comments 501 views last activity

No joke. Having a Killer heavily commit to you is absolutely the power role in DBD. It's high risk of course because if you don't last long your death could lose the game, but if you can take the heat the Killer can essentially throw the game from lack of map pressure. I won a game at Rank 1 from being tunneled. The Wraith hooked me and immediately went for me after being unhooked again in a de29 comments 241 views last activity

When Survivor teammates take chases that BRING the Killer to the area where gens are being worked on. Like come on. It's Survivor 101 to hold W in the direction away from the objective. It's especially annoying when they're coming back to a gen they've worked on so they KNOW it has progress. If you're being chased, stay the heck away doesn't even matter if you go down.
