With the re-release of the old event cosmetics, the Devs stated that they had fixed the bugs the caused players to lose limited cosmetics and they were confident they could keep track of who had unlocked them in the future. The Anniversary Event added a limited cosmetic for most characters, the Rift has added more exclusive cosmetics and according to the PTB a code system to get exclusive items11 comments 281 views last activity

Thanataphobia/Blood Echo/Pop/BBQ Usually, people refuse to heal against Legion because its so easy to be injured with Frenzy, which makes you very prone to being gen rushed at red ranks. So just run this build and they'll be clamoring for heals because its way too punishing to stay injured. Gives you a lot of slowdown.9 comments 301 views last activity

Honestly, this is a good change and shows that the Devs listen to the community. Being able to see cage auras and immediately book it to try to camp for an early kill wasn’t very fair to Survivors and felt awful to play against.12 comments 191 views last activity

No one wants to load into Midwhich. it's a poorly executed map and will probably need an eventual rework. Pyramid Head is too complicated and hard to use to be popular. He's brand new and already uncommon after 2 weeks. Heather will probably have the most lasting effect on the game... but mainly because people want to show off the fact they have 15 dollars to play a sexy nurse... At the start of the match, the auras of all dull totems are revealed. The Killer can interact with a totem on the map once to light it and spawn a hex totem. Hex totems spawns are random if more than one hex perk is in play22 comments 321 views last activity

Pallets have a drop animation window where they can allow hits. It's probably one of the most satisfying things a Killer can utilize in the game when they get the timing right. If you can make a Survivor have the false belief they can avoid the hit, they'll give you a pallet and a down at the same time. What could be better?10 comments 341 views last activity

Ruin is a risky perk that can be extremely good, but you always have to run it with a backup perk for gen control. Corrupt gives the Survivors time to look for Ruin and Pop doesn't work until Ruin is down. BUT Surge activates on any generators that aren't regressing so it can explode nearby generators if other Survivors are working on them. So Surge is pretty much the only gen regression perk7 comments 431 views last activity

If Survivors make cleansing totems a priority, then the easier more predictable ones get cleansed and No ED spawns on one of the hardest totems guaranteed. So on a map like Hawkins or Lerys, its more optimal to avoid totems like the plague to increase your chances of getting a mediocre spawn instead of guaranteeing yourself a legendary one.16 comments 291 views last activity

Every single one of the exhaustion perks buys you extra time in your chases. Doesn't even matter which one you're running if you know how to use it you'll make the Killer spend more time chasing you. No perk in the game will give you the same amount of value as an exhaustion perk every chase. Not running one is setting yourself up for failure and harder games. I slowly built up a collection of most Survivors and Killers, but there are a couple of each that I haven't bought at all. Usually its because I got their perks from the shrine and/or I don't see myself really playing them. Survivors- Tapp, Jane and Jeff. Killers- Deathslinger, Myers, Doctor and Pyramid Head. Which Killers/Survivors are you guys missing?18 comments 141 views last activity

Statistically, it would make sense for a Killer to use their weapon left handed at this point... so why isn't there one? The animation might be a little different, but functionally the swing and lunge hitboxes of most Killers are the same regardless. Don't see any real reason why no one is left handed20 comments 301 views last activity

Decisive Strike activates for 60 seconds... starting when you're hooked. So Survivors get punished for doing Gens Before Friends. Because of Decisive and the long hook timer, high level Survivors can be really greedy and sit on generators to minimize the pressure from a Killer's hooks. With this nerf, there'd actually be some pressure to save people quickly, so you don't hear three generators20 comments 141 views last activity

With the addition of Blood Pact, the Obsession mechanic is no longer solely a Killer mechanic. Blood Pact creates an Obsession who is only affected differently by the Survivor who runs it. So when that perk is in play the Obsession isn't the Killer's Obsession they're actually a Survivor's Obsession.8 comments 231 views last activity

Having the prestige increased rate of higher rarity items sucks when you're trying to level up Survivors. Survivor add-ons get worse the higher tier they are most of the time. No one wants a 7000 lightbulb for gods sake or a bunch of key add-ons that show up more often then the keys themselves. Ideally I'd want my bloodwebs filled with brown and yellow items. Stuff like batteries, med-kit/to3 comments 101 views last activity

Trust me it works in Rank 1 Survivor games like a charm. The Blood Pact build is universally useful and really doesn't have any real weaknesses. Blood Pact (tells you where to get heals with Leader anywhere on the map. creates an obsession. shared information can prevent gen interrupts and give you more awareness in chase or while the obsession is being chased. essentially gives the obsessio13 comments 3,981 views last activity

I really liked the experience of getting to play a bunch of Survivors I don't normally use. It was a unique challenge because a lot of them didn't have my favorite perks unlocked so I had to get creative with my builds. My #1 tip is NOT actively searching for a crown. They re-spawn throughout the match so it's pretty likely you'll run into one. If that doesn't happen, just spend the time search2 comments 81 views last activity

Haven't gotten any games on Haddonfield since the Anniversary dropped and the map offerings aren't working (must've been a temporary bug. i was using a Haddonfield offering on Jake for a while and it kept not registering)4 comments 141 views last activity

They're both extremely bright event cosmetics that pretty much do the Killer a favor. Try crouching in a bush with legacy and/or crowns. Won't work. Crowns are perfect for the clicky, clicky all meta perk Survivors that want to be chased... I guess19 comments 321 views last activity

Based on the latest update with the huntress wolf mask, It seems that the Devs are fine with limited event items now because they're confident they can track who earned them and who didn't. So I'm assuming all the current crowns will be limited to this event right? They say 4th anniversary on them and everything0 comments 41 views last activity

The Survivors will all be looking for the dang crown to farm points and get a cool cosmetic for the first 1-2 minutes of the match. It's basically a free Corrupt Intervention. Because lets be honest Survivor players are G R E E D Y1 comments 251 views last activity

Leader Lets you get healed faster (also helps with double heals) Helps you get picked up faster (anti-slug) Fastest exit gate boost in the game (comes into play more than you'd think) Also, helps team multitask (i.e. they can self-care or totem while you do the gen) I've been running it with Blood Pact and really getting a lot of mileage. It's very nice.7 comments 71 views last activity

The first Survivor I played was Nancy, so I fell in love with Inner Strength early on. Until recently, it was in virtually all of my builds. I know a lot of Survivor players also use self-healing like Med-Kits and Self-Care. So I'll just ask the question: How much do other Survivors rely on self-healing? Currently, I've been experimenting with a combo of Blood Pact and Leader at Red Ranks. I31 comments 271 views last activity

Pyramid Head shouldn't be able to see the auras of cages. It encourages tunneling too much. The cage spawns are already pretty predictable, so if someone REALLY wanted to tunnel they could probably do it. But it'd be harder and take more time because they didn't know exactly where just the general area. Cages are meant to be time savers not free passes to tunnel. I think that Forced Penance would've been cool if it had the Mettle of Man side effect. Survivors that take a protection hit have their Aura revealed for 60 seconds when farther than 16m away. Actually scary for Survivors and lets you capitalize and punish them. Cause right now, 60 seconds of broken could just mean they could yeet to the other side of the map and Iron Will it out. Every other Obsession Perk has games where its basically a wasted slot and doesn’t get used. Or even worse the perk ends up hurting you. Blood Pact isn’t like that. You and the Obsession will be injured at some point every game, so the perk will give you info. And possibly save your life when you need heals. No downside, no real risk attached. It’s consistent even if it is a bit of a vanilla pe1 comments 51 views last activity

As Killer, I develop grudges against Survivors because of their playstyles and perks. Sometimes against the Obsession especially since I run STBFL Pig. Anyway, nothing about skins really makes me dislike Survivors more or less. In fact, I prefer skins like Lisa because they're not very blendy and are easier to spot. Sometimes I even feel bad for Lisa players because she's a new Survivor so they8 comments 101 views last activity

The amount of generator slowdown perks you need in their build. Good Killers have enough pressure to need very little gen slowdown and can have more tracking/chase perks. Killers have been respecting Decisive for awhile now. Plus Pyramid Head can ignore it even if you have it. Lots of games have no Obsession now because people aren't getting regular use from Decisive so its been slowly leaving more and more builds. Just an observation at Red Ranks.4 comments 111 views last activity

Pyramid Head's power makes looping intense and its quite similar to Huntress. Correctly predict a vault or pallet drop and you get a free hit. He's pretty much just a massive mindgame. You have to prepare for and M1 or M2 at all times because unlike Huntress he's 115%. It's interactive so both the Survivor and Killer feel like their decisions effect the outcome of chases. Literally every other Survivor Obsession perk is unreliable and has scenarios where its just eating up a slot or actively hurting you. Blood Pact is like... useful every game consistently. Kind of shocking honestly. I feel like there should be a Killer with base 120% movement speed and a 24m Terror Radius. Their power could be something like the Begrimed Head add-on for Huntress and causes a -5% healing/repair speed penalty per hit that resets on hook. Just seems like an easy idea for a Killer. They're basically just an M1 Killer with better base stats and a hint of slowdown. The art assets would probably10 comments 191 views last activity

Killers really seem to get angry at the perk. Like the amount of times I've been tunneled off hook is a little insane. Let me use my dang perk in peace thx. Even when I get the heal off, being tunneled is still lame and makes me not want to run it. Is Second Wind toxic or something?13 comments 271 views last activity

Legion- Killer that easily injures people, but struggles at downing injured Survivors. Spirit- Killer that struggles to injure people, but is amazing at downing injured Survivors. At high ranks, Survivors usually don't care that much about being injured because of perks like Iron Will, Resilience and Dead Hard. They usually only heal eachother after they've finished a generator or if they hav19 comments 353 views last activity

The Servers simply don't allow the Survivors to react in time to the Killer when the Killer is using a VPN. It's so bad I end up hook suiciding when I get a Chinese Huntress or Spirit most of the time. Honestly, I think the Devs NEED to put a ping lock on their Servers. Like matchmaking shouldn't give anyone with over 150 ping a game. I'm sorry. Go back to your own servers and if you don't have3 comments 51 views last activity

Very few people can play all the Killers. The skillsets are just too different. I can play Legion, Pig, Freddy, Spirit and Ghost Face at Rank 1. Most of the others I can't really do anything with or I'm well below the skill level to be remotely threatening with them. What Killers do you specialize in?54 comments 411 views last activity

To beat a high rank SWF, you just need to slug and proxy camp on a high tier Killers like Freddy, Spirit, Oni or Nurse. The weakness of SWFs is that they're overly altruistic and rarely do the smart thing, which is leaving their friends behind. You can prey on the fact that they group up and are prone to getting in messy scenarios with saves and slugging. That's how you beat them or at least st24 comments 511 views last activity

Shared Aura Perks (Aftercare, Better Together, Kindred and Blood Pact) You can essentially give your teammates a fifth perk slot. It helps patch up the randomness of matchmaking by buffing your coordination with randoms, while helping you at the same time. I'm a Rank 1 Killer and Survivor Player. In my Survivor games, the easiest way to tell a red from a purple is their commitment. If you hit people and leave most of them, you aren't going to have the pressure you need to win games. You can tell a good Killer apart because they rarely injure people that they have no intention of downing and they can commit to full chases that get them reliable do28 comments 461 views last activity

Keep Your Enemies Closer Your distrust motivates you. When in chase, gain a haste status equal to the Killer's movement speed. Once chase is broken. Causes the Exhausted effect for 60/50/40 seconds. Almost 1000 hours in this game and I've never seen a generator spawn there. It's a really strong tile, so I just assumed it was designed to never have a generator. I think there must be exactly one variation of The Game that has this.41 comments 23,441 views last activity

Most of the altruism points come from unhooks and the entire point of slugging is to evade the hook requirements and end the game as quickly as possible by killing everyone on first or second hook since no one can save because everyone is down. Try playing against a Rank 1 infectious fright Killer. The best you can hope for on Survivor is a safety pip. Whether slugging is unfun or balanced or w3 comments 41 views last activity

It would make sense to me that unhooking yourself would cause you to become the Obsession. It seems on-par with For the People and Decisive. Being the Obsession isn't usually a negative thing, so making Deliverance an Obsession perk would be a slight buff because it can make the Killer respect Decisive. In general, I feel like Survivors need more Obsession perks and Sole Survivor proves that4 comments 71 views last activity

As a Survivor, I always thought Dead Hard was an unreliable perk to avoid damage by predicting a swing. But as a Killer, I learned that Dead Hard is actually a “get out of jail free” card, when you mess up a loop or get too greedy with a pallet. Use Dead Hard to be greedy, fix your mistakes or chain loops you have no business chaining. It’s basically meant to tell the Killer “you outplayed me4 comments 101 views last activity

I think a lot of people have the misinterpretation that The Game is a Killer sided map. But actually its entirely dependent on which Killer is being played. Killers that have ways to deal with pallets and/or high mobility thrive on The Game because of its small size. Having control of when Red Herring goes off would make the perk much more useful. Would be an easy change. Just press the activate ability button (E) while hiding in a locker to activate the perk. So you can hide in a locker to not show up on BBQ and then time a Red Herring a couple seconds after. Right now its hide from BBQ or make the red herring unrealistic looking when someone gets hooked2 comments 71 views last activity
