Earlier I was in a chase and it was clear to me the Blight would miss me. But then I saw him do a straight 90° turn mid-burst and kept rushing for four meters to hit me. I didn't know it was possible. He had no addons for that either. (Blighted Rat + 21)12 comments 331 views last activity

If you are in a match where the killer did not tunnel nor camp. Your team manage to do 3 gens before the killer finally downs both your last teammate. However, instead of hooking you, he drops you on top of the hatch. Instead of taking it, you crawl to a hook. Why?2 comments 81 views last activity

Given how easily some survivors rage-quit for whatever reason. It should start at 20 or 30 minutes. (Just got my Nth teammates DCing this morning, this time they were two one right after the other. It's way worse during the day than at night.)8 comments 101 views last activity

It doesn't seem to be related to the machine. Do you experience rubber banding since the last update? What region do you reside in ? (Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, South America) What kind of machine do you play with. (PC/console model) If it's by time period: when? --- I experience rubber banding. I've not played since before the new MMR. I came back today and had games switching from annoying to hard. It's probably better than getting only hard games during the first half of the night so ... yay? The one thing I've notice though is that in a lobby one survivor was way less experienced than me and his friends (He was around 70 hours, his friends in the thousands.) Bad luck, I thought22 comments 451 views last activity

I'm not playing at the moment but reading about the MMR, I believe the changes are bound to make the games more fun and balanced. (Maybe not at high MMR, but that's not where most players are.) The only problem that could occur is that if there is an imbalance in the population (e.g. more killers than survivors), the queues will be long and the games will be too difficult (or easy) for one side.10 comments 251 views last activity

... but when a game is "over", I don't really care about hooking the last survivor. I know that I've "won" and that's enough. I don't really need the additional BPs of a last hook either. However it's usually the difference between one and two pips, and I kind of like seeing that color shifting to the red. What do you think?11 comments 211 views last activity

Can we at least have a faster way to spend it? e.g. Instant activation of a node in the web and maybe even activating a whole path from the closest activated node (or the center if none) to the currently clicked one? I've just spent several minutes burning BP to go back a bit below 900k and that's not exactly how I like to spend game time. I'm probably not the only one.6 comments 91 views last activity

We don't know our MMR nor are supposed to (not accurately at least). But can we know what is the current distribution of players MMR-wise? Are the players equally distributed? Are they distributed in a Gaussian fashion? What if we take into account survivors vs killers? What about the distribution of each killer? Without giving us the numbers, I think this would be very interesting to2 comments 41 views last activity

Sometime, as survivor, the game goes south fast. Sometimes it's a survivor "leaving" the match. Sometimes the killer is too strong or too lucky. Basically, if the killer plays normally the team will be wiped fast. What do you prefer? A quick kill or getting multiple chases, even if it means being shot and slugged while generators are slowly being done and only killed close to the end? edit:8 comments 91 views last activity

Shadow step can effectively hide survivors from afar unless you know there is a boon there. Dark theory f*cks with your distance estimation and make you miss from a hair. Everybody knows Circle of Healing (although it appears it has been nerfed in 5.7.0) The problem with the boons isn't their power, it's they can be relit ad infinitum. My last game (killer) was interrupted by a phone call and by the time I came back, it was almost over. In the chat I simply wanted to say to the survivors that I got a phone call and that I was sorry but the word "phone" was censored. So were "smartphone" and "p" "h" "o" "n" "e". I finally said "an audio device for remote communication" or something like that. However, a survivor was able to t0 comments 21 views last activity

When two of your team are down (hooked or on the ground), it's usually a good idea to drop everything you are doing and go help. Otherwise the game is probably lost.12 comments 301 views last activity

Yeah, no kidding. I've just played a game against an average Nurse and the others were basically throwing. If they weren't doing it on purpose they were simply clueless. Let's run in a straight line in the open, let's discard the option of healing, let's throw pallets down, let's jump down while in a chase, let's unhook right next to the killer, ... great moves, all of them. That's an almost c62 comments 991 views last activity

I've just played Trickster for a daily. I planned to do the strict minimum and then let the survivor do whatever they wanted. (I don't enjoy playing this killer, I only use him for this) However, a few seconds in the game I get two repeated explosion spots in the shack. Yup, one of these. In fact two, very obnoxious, gift-wrapped Dwights. I just knew they were in the lockers. Of course th3 comments 91 views last activity

After a very awful evening (cheaters & boons popping up like mushrooms), I've decided to try to play more efficiently (and with way less energy). Cue Bubba. After several matches I've drawn some conclusions. It's definitively not fun to play as (I usually play Nurse and beside cheaters/lag-switchers/... it's generally fun, win or lose). It has a high success rate. My lowest has been 2k2 comments 101 views last activity

So games with cheaters could be sent to BHVR without having to upload a 1GB video. Also, in a replay, we could check what happened off-camera (e.g. players speeding up or teleporting). It could even have an indication of the speed and perk used.7 comments 111 views last activity

I've just been matched against players who were in their first game. Generator? No clue. Healing? Ah yes, the Claudette knew how. Hatch? What is that? Doors? What I'm supposed to do with that? After several minutes they didn't even manage to do one generator. I had no choice to kill three of them to give hatch. But after trying to push, then down and drop the survivor on the hatch and waiti9 comments 91 views last activity

On my last game of the night, I went against some sloppy but very cocky survivors. I was trying to so some rift so I didn't pay much attention at first but my first hook failed because one of them escaped my grasp very quickly. No matter : she wasn't very good so I got her again and this time I'm starting to count the wiggles to reach the hook. It was fine but at 6 she wiggled off, a meter or s12 comments 311 views last activity

Step 1: get your ass kicked by competent teams while you are figuring out the killer. Step 2 to 10: same as step 1 Step 11: get finally matched against a team who doesn't know there are several vault speeds.18 comments 301 views last activity

This means that survivors can literally go through her, with or without Dead-Hard and drop a pallet on her. Unless I'm mistaken she isn't faster while in that form either. I've seen people say she is better than Wraith. In what way?7 comments 211 views last activity

Platform : PC, Steam, Windows 10 DbD 5.6.0 I'm warming-up the Nurse after a few weeks without using her. A bit after second 12, a power loop bug occurs. I've kept a few blinks before and after in case it helps getting some killer state context. Steps to reproduce: the video should be self explanatory. This is my 2nd or 3rd game with the Nurse since she came back. I presume I've hit right the4 comments 171 views last activity

Couldn't we have some kind of rule where players with an high ping (above 80? above 100? above 200 ? above 1000? ) Be put together so the others don't have to suffer from teleporting, hiccups and glitches? That would be neat.0 comments 71 views last activity

Slowing the speed of a single gen is out of the question. It's already boring enough as it is. Ideally ... It should naturally force interaction between players (between survivors and with the killer) It should prevent doing gens in parallel, maybe making it counter-productive. Hopefully it should also make tunneling and/or camping counter-productive. Maybe the points shouldn't be too f8 comments 121 views last activity

Can we agree that to say something is too strong, one need to have used it himself at high MMR? Let's say, win ten games in a row then, when you are versing the top players, see how OP you are ... or not. For killers, it's easy to try. For survivors it may be a bit more difficult as one needs a good team to play in proper conditions. I suspect we can avoid a lot of pointless noise if we do7 comments 311 views last activity

What is it with bad (as inexperienced) players trying to irk the killer? Tell me, how many times have you been in this situation playing killer? You can't depip anymore and you want play casually and nice for a change. But instead of having a few good chases without a care in the world, a few survivors seem to decide they can try to poke you and click their flashlight 20 times per second and ma7 comments 241 views last activity

Tonight I was tired. I'm up since 4:30 (it's 23:00) so I didn't want to exert myself. I've switched to Bubba, put Insidious and Lightborn and placed myself in the shack, in the opposite corner of the pallet, facing it. (With a few variations when the map doesn't allow it.) The idea: what will survivors do? The answer is pretty simple : about half come look, some try to flashlight the killer an4 comments 121 views last activity

_ Turn cross-play off (No free Epic Games burn accounts). Look into profiles and be wary of: _ players with only one game in their account assuming it's a burn-account. (I even dodge profiles with less than 5 games now) _ players with a ban, even if it was years ago. Does that makes sense? For a while now, whenever I try Hag I often have survivors who for some reasons are always several meters from the trap they've triggered by the time I teleport (no, it's not DH). I've even been in chases where I see one going straight to the trap, I wait with the finger on the button, ready to react immediately when it triggers and ... too far again. It happens if I run or I stand still. Usele11 comments 261 views last activity

The MMR being what it is, I often cut a lot of slack if I see they have no business going against me. (Don't worry, I'll play as a perfect bastard if they are good : one coin, two sides). So I end-up slugging several times, feigning to miss the barely hidden rescuer. I endeavor to have everyone on their last hook together. I'm kind of fed up. I get at least a couple a day. Today I got 3. First game, that survivor who dead-harded, then kind of ran-teleported one meter during chases and that I could never catch up. Second game, that survivor who was running as fast as me in a straight line for a good ten seconds. Third game, my two totems get destroyed simultaneously, along with two generators 40 seconds from the32 comments 461 views last activity

Maybe detect that if a ping goes from ~70ms to 200ms or 1000ms whenever the killer is close, it could be considered as fishy, at the very least. Seeing survivors run straight then teleport 10 to 20 meters on another direction is becoming pretty common.1 comments 11 views last activity

When I launch the game, I set the audio "Mute Focus" option to "on". Randomly, between games or menus, that setting reverts back to "off". It happens pretty often during the life of the program. The issue doesn't happen on the Epic version of the game. I'd love to give the log file if the template would care to mention where to look for it.0 comments 11 views last activity

I was having my last game of the day, as Huntress. I was gently doing long-range sniper shots and letting the survivors breathe between hooks and heals (with the PTB on, I mostly went against less experienced players on live). I was quite emphatically not doing anything "try-hard". Then a survivor went out of a Iron Maiden locker. Poof: one DC. I've been away from the game for a few months, enjoying a couple fun 4vs1 games in the mean time. Still, as a Nurse main, I had to try the "fixes" so I've reinstalled the game, warmed up and tried. There are indeed less bugs, although I still got M1 a couple of times and some weird short blinks.
