Don't poke the bear if you can't run ...

What is it with bad (as inexperienced) players trying to irk the killer?

Tell me, how many times have you been in this situation playing killer?

You can't depip anymore and you want play casually and nice for a change. But instead of having a few good chases without a care in the world, a few survivors seem to decide they can try to poke you and click their flashlight 20 times per second and make noise all around.

Everybody likes good, aggressive, cocky survivors : the usually give the best games (win or lose).

But then you start playing normally, you put them down way too easily and they end up crying tears of salt in the chat. (Usually calling you a noob)

Normally you first learn to play and then, out of boredom, you learn how to get the attention. Not the other way around.

Are try trying to emulate some streamer?

  • Oh they're probably trying to emulate the funny clicky clicky streamers they've seen except the funny streamers actually have some talent whilst they... don't, and it leads to very sad flops while you just stare in disappointment like Sadako

I do it because sitting on gens is boring and it has also improved my chase skill tremendously.

  • If a Surv wants attention ignore them, tunnel their friends out then you can give them your full attention. It's only courtesy.

Well, that's the thing. It was not the usual runner-while-others-do-gens. They were all on it.

  • I don't get it either. The survivor that goes out of their way to be obnoxious is the one that cries the most when you get them. "We teamed up to chain-blind you, and you're going to tunnel us for it? The horror!"

But a good strategy for dealing with the "I'm going to tilt the killer" players is to give in to it right away. They can't make you mad if you're the one who's making them mad.

Yeah i think thats 95% of the streamers that bait me. They get my attention, i catch them, hook them, they get saved, instead of getting healed they grab my attention again, i pick them up, they ds, vault a nearby window, step in a trap and they rage quit. Thats why i generally dont like streamers. Instead of doing objectives they are trying to put on a show. Then they quit if the killer isnt a newb they can easily bully.

  • I do it if I need to take aggro and teammates are on death hook. Pretty much the only time I'll do it
