This system would expand the daily rituals, and slightly lessen the rift and bloodweb grind. Killers challenges would be based on their powers, or just around their general background and personality. They could have 2 per day, be worth 30,000 bloodpoints, and 2 rift shards. All survivors would have them as well, based around their character, like how claudette heals, so her challenges would b2 comments 51 views last activity

What if Blight could lunge out of a slam? Technically it's currently possible but with frane perfect timing. Of course you would still suffer from the cooldown. I just think it would be neat to add it in an official capacity . What would y'all think of this?5 comments 41 views last activity

I've seen survivors stick really close to Blight during a slam. Does that actually prevent his rush, or is it a waste of time? I'm asking this before I post another thread just to verify some information.17 comments 151 views last activity

A lot of people say doctor's base kit is too loaded. But that isn't true, his ability is one that can be used as active slowdown ( meaning he himself has to apply it ). Some tracking if you're attentive, and in chase if you have good timing. But that comes with a distinct lack of mobility, the doctor still has to walk across the map like everybody else. As well as the fact that the doctor depends11 comments 151 views last activity

TL:DR (The original Hallowed Blight had tons of effort put into it, with subsequent blight events heavily degrading in quality. To the point where the community put the devs into damage control mode in the Eternal Blight) Back in 2018 a new event was teased to us. With only a short video giving us the name "The Hallowed Blight." When the event released, it introduced us to these beautiful mo32 comments 571 views last activity

Usually they're just given to us at the beginning of the winter event. So why not just give them to us now? I'm thinking they are going to be rewards for logging in. Which would suck because they're acting like that can replace actual event rewards. Don't get me wrong, free stuff is cool, but thus far the free stuff has been pretty crappy. Only 10,000 blood points. Enough to get 3 whole brown4 comments 171 views last activity

If we were to get one, who do you think would be the killer? Personally I think it'd probably either be walrider, or chris walker. The survivor could be waylon park from the whistleblower DLC12 comments 91 views last activity

Dyer island: an indoor - outdoor combination map, with half of the map taking place on the surface in the prison camp, the other half taking place below ground in Talbots secret laboratory. Various entrances to the laboratory would be strewn across the map. Remote village: one of the various towns The twins had hidden in. Currently being an obsession just lets you know certain perks are in play from either side. It isn't entirely impactful. So I had an idea, and I'm just spit-balling so don't get your undies in a twist. If a killer gets in a chase with the obsession, they would be granted extra movement speed, and lunge range ( not terribly much, just enough to be noticeable ). But, the killer would have a15 comments 131 views last activity

Had a couple matches of blight on the newly reworked maps, they went kind of well? One of them was on autohaven and had two survivors with flashlights ( I forgot to bring lightborn T.T ). The other was on Ormond, where the survivors were being very stealthy. Anyway, the collision on autohaven works somewhat well. Besides the cars, which, despite hitting head on. I could not slam off of. Orm7 comments 51 views last activity

(Just to deviate from the bugs and balance posts on here) I've been thinking about it recently, in the Halloween archives we had this year, it showed Talbot as normal. Despite him having transformed into the default blight before that point. Plus during the animation he goes straight from normal, to the True Blight. Another thing I see is that the True Blights skin has a different style of14 comments 354 views last activity

So to start off, the twins as a killer have severe issues that the devs did not see coming in internal testing. Someone has made a post explaining the issues with the twins in an in-depth manner much better than I ever could, read it if you want: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/210797/the-way-people-play-with-the-twins-proves-an-interesting-point#latest for those who do not w73 comments 881 views last activity

Since my first post got too big to manage with any level of patience, I decided to make this one. Is there even a difference between the current live build, and the PTB? Edit: I know victor was supposed to move faster while charging his pounce, as well as survivors not being able to exit when they have victor. Weren't thos supposed to come out with this update.3 comments 51 views last activity

It's weird that you're able to see essentially the entire map now. Plus you can see killers from a large distance away, which would suck for someone like ghostface. Do y'all think they should decrease the distance that the fog activates, or keep it the same.0 comments 31 views last activity

Personally I think the current perk meta would be absolved if the issues with the base game were addressed. Plus it would free up so many perk slots if I didn't have to run certain perks to cover for unbalanced design.8 comments 101 views last activity

I'm sure most survivors know the pain of being tunneled or camped. When you tell others about it, they tell you to run Decisive strike, or borrowed time. Most killers can tell you how much it sucks for games to be finished in less than five minutes. People will tell you to run PGTW, thanatophobia, and a handful of other perks to slow the game down. Throughout my playtime of dead by daylight I've been around for a lot of the good bad. Heck, I still remember when DS was a get out of jail free card. I will be the first to admit, the devs have implemented good changes. Like the end game collapse, the ruin and DS reworks, graphical overhauls, and killer reworks. Despite all of the good changes, the bad continually manages to shine through.46 comments 5,511 views last activity

It seemed like before the [BAD WORD] show that they called an event. You could freely post in general. But now if your post has any hint of a suggestion or criticism. it gets banished to feedback. Where the post will instantly lose traction. Especially annoying considering all of the traffic goes through general.23 comments 431 views last activity

I've recently come back from a break after getting extremely [BAD WORD] with the game. Currently stuck in red ranks and I'm extremely rusty when it comes to playing killer. What are the best ways to avoid getting tilted besides not playing the game?22 comments 261 views last activity

So basically, when you would damage a gen it would apply plagues sickness to it for 45 - 60 seconds ( whichever seems more balanced ) When a survivor interacts with it, they would have 30 seconds of plague buildup, then 30 seconds of being broken.0 comments 21 views last activity

Currently with the time crunch meta we have going on, the game moves very quickly. Most of the time too quickly, this issue is made worse by poor map balancing, as well as perk balancing. Which can prevent the killer from securing downs in a timely manner. If they decide to go through with removing bloodlust, the length of chases will be extended. Thus making it even harder for the killer to se20 comments 402 views last activity

As the title states, second chance perks wouldn't feel so bad to go against if loops and game time were balanced. Currently good survivors can crank out gens like no tomorrow. Slowdown perks will only stall the inevitable. The early game slowdown the mechanic (which we have heard no mention of in months) would substantially help slow the game down. With map balance, maps can either feel like p0 comments 31 views last activity

Since I'm seeing a lot more of these posts. I figured I'd throw my own out there. I think old movies are overrated. While I recognize that they got movies where they are today. They have some of the worst dialogue and writing I've seen.22 comments 143 views last activity

So far it's looking like only next gen is getting optimization. So are those of us on ps4 and xbox one not getting anything? We shouldn't have to buy a 600 dollar console just to get optimization that should have existed in the first place.30 comments 251 views last activity

The devs stated that they were going to make the walls match the realm they were in. I remember reading that in the dev update before Deathslingers PTB. I know it's a minor gripe, and they aren't exactly against the theme of the realms right now. It's just wierd the devs never held themselves to that promise.13 comments 171 views last activity

A christmas tree and a fireplace with 4 stockings would spawn either in the main building or killer shock. Killer hooks survivors ( could be special ones or just any hook ) then they can deliver coal to the stockings. Each piece of coal gives a 25% bloodpoint gain to everyone. 4 Presents would spawn around the maps ( only a couple locations to keep the rng to a minimum ) and survivors would47 comments 752 views last activity

I think it's funny, despite how janky the animation looks. Plus I don't understand how people are getting offended by the whole "KICK THE BABY" thing. He isn't an actual baby so what's the issue? Graphically the map looks great, I can't complain about the general look of it. But it looks somehow off. The distance fog isn't as intense on new autohaven. If you go to a high position you can see the entire map. Which looks wierd without any distance blur, or the distance fog we have on the live servers. That's my guess anyway.12 comments 241 views last activity

Autohaven now has breakable walls in PTB, and the devs have still ignored the criticisms about them. Specifically by Putting them in loops that were perfectly fine without them. Essentially creating godloops or infinites in the process. I will say the breakable walls in gas heaven garage aren't terrible, they create multiple entrances and mess with the usual loop there.33 comments 1,381 views last activity

Blood lodge seems a bit bare in regards to objects and trees, extends to small areas in other autohaven maps as well. with the way the realm fog works now you can see the entire map from a high position due to how small some autohaven maps are. Which looks odd without distance blurring, or distance fog like we have right now. To me the new jungle gyms look off, like the new textures look fla0 comments 71 views last activity

As nice as the map reworks are, will those two ever get realms of their own? If not will they ever get a sub realm, like twins could get an ormond sub realm, and blight could a crotus Penn sub realm.11 comments 801 views last activity

Still can't get used to how useless the majority of his addons are. Plus I'm still miffed with how the devs outright lied to us with how they thought "hillbilly is in a good place" then proceeded to neuter his addons and add a useless overheat mechanic.12 comments 301 views last activity
