Second chance perks wouldn't be so bad if loops and game time were balanced
As the title states, second chance perks wouldn't feel so bad to go against if loops and game time were balanced.
Currently good survivors can crank out gens like no tomorrow. Slowdown perks will only stall the inevitable. The early game slowdown the mechanic (which we have heard no mention of in months) would substantially help slow the game down.
With map balance, maps can either feel like pallet town, or the equivalent of the great depression. Plus, a lot of loops feel decently safe to a survivor who knows what they are doing.
Both of these issues make second chance perks feel horrible to play against. Because the majority of the time, experienced survivors will feel untouchable. The killer will have to rely on survivors mistakes to accomplish anything. If loops are made less safe, and game time slowed down, these perks would feel better to play against.
