So I was reading through clown's cosmetics, and something struck me as odd. The clown cosmetic pieces that were in the rift for tome 5 tell a bit of a story. Specifically the head piece, "It was a lot of work tracking down a killer in his territory and he was getting surly. Enough with the gags, it was time to inflict some pain." This could have been such an interesting story to tell about Cl9 comments 101 views last activity

I wasn't expecting a lot of changes in this rework. But what in the actual [BAD WORD] was the rationale behind keeping that in?!8 comments 171 views last activity

One of clowns yellow cosmetic heads is called, 'The Kybalion' With the description of, " As above, so below, as below, so above." If you look this phrase up, you get various references to the second principle of Hermaticism, known as the law of correspondence. The Law of correspondence states that the universe is in a constant state of harmony and correspondence. Where there are three planes6 comments 213 views last activity

So let me get this straight... everybody was saying clown lacks any good method of mobility. So BHVR made him even more chase oriented??? The antifote bottles have so far proven useless for map mobility due to its low numbers. The area where they help is during a chase. Where you can boost yourself, and slow a survivor. But what was the reasoning behind making him more chase oriented than he14 comments 281 views last activity

I'm not particularly a fan of the recoloring of clowns bowtie. It really clashes with some of the recolored base outfits, and even looks out of place on his default outfit. For anyone who doesn't know, they recolored clowns bowtie to be a bright and vibrant purple. When it used to be a duller red, to fit with the dull pink outfit. Just a small gripe I have with his texture update. Otherwise,3 comments 141 views last activity

I'll go first Likes - I like how Crotus looks now, especially the way some things are on fire. Clowns rework is shaping up to be a decent for him. The game looks amazing, and has some Easter eggs for fans of the Saw movies. Dislikes - Disturbed ward looks too visually busy. The devs are trying too hard to fill empty space on the map, resulting in a highly cluttered look. The new UI1 comments 41 views last activity

Can any of you PTB players answer this question for me? When you do the generator next to clown's caravan, does that cause any colored spotlights to turn on? I'm asking because the circus portion of the map looks very dull without the colored spotlights.1 comments 111 views last activity

I've seen clips of it being passed around, unfortunately the ones I've been able to find don't have the proper formatting to be shown here. But I sincerely hope this is not intentional. One of the few limitations of dead hard was not being able to do it around corners, this would remove that entirely. Please, for the love of god let this be a bug.37 comments 1,351 views last activity

As far as I can tell this can only be heard by the survivors in the PTB. The streamer's who've played as clown only get the default killer music if I'm hearing things correctly. https://youtu.be/CCMZfmvb5jc7 comments 391 views last activity

If they prevented emblems from affecting rank, and instead just used them to show how you did in a match. Then they could use the ( hidden ) MMR to determine ranks instead. Of course the individual killer MMR would have to be factored in too. Meaning that your killers would be different ranks, but that isn't totally fair given that killer fundamentals carry across all killers. So instead of ha16 comments 481 views last activity

It keeps the gritty style that we know and love, while showing the necessary info that the new UI was trying to convey. Credit goes to u/MikeHuntOG for creating this mockup. So why don't they make that more rewarding? The amount of bloodpoints is already atrocious without BBQ and other BP doubling modifiers. If you miss those other two kills, then you'll feel the difference in BP. The only thing that feels rewarding BP wise is getting all 4 kills. Because if you've managed that, you're probably going to get at least in the range of 25,000. This probably falls und0 comments 31 views last activity

You were a fun perk while you lasted, you protected my totems dutifully. But we can't ignore that you were an RNG based perk that could be removed 30 seconds into the game, or easily seen with a map or two other perks. Or the fact that dull totems could be removed before the hex perks could be transferred. I guess survivors can't resist gens so much that they can't hop off one to do bones for ext71 comments 1,302 views last activity

Back when I first started DBD ( around the winter solstice event of 2017 ) killer weapons were more visible in the screen. I can understand why they move it out of the way, but I miss being able to see so much of the weapons.1 comments 41 views last activity

In a lot of posts I've been seeing that people have now started to hate basement for whatever reason. Could just be recency bias, but it seems to be getting a lot more common. I personally don't have anything against it, typically if you get hooked there it's your own fault. I guess they had a few matches up against a trapper, hag, or bubba? I honestly have no idea where the hate for it came25 comments 471 views last activity

Everybody hates being tunneled and camped. Tunneling sucks because you'll only be in chase until you're out of the match, unless your teammates decide to take some hits to give you a chance to hide. Camping sucks because you'll be deprived of your interaction with the match because the killer decided he didn't like you, or they simply don't know any better because they're new. If we were able to see the kill and survival rate of all killers, of all ranks, and of all perks, with info on DC's and first hook deaths for each of those parameters. then we'd be able to see what changes are actually justified, and which are not. There is no particular reason they shouldn't be able to show the info to us. I'm aware it would take a while to set up global tracker for that. Bu25 comments 202 views last activity

Ever since the EGC was added blood warden has suffered for it. Not to say it's terrible, it's amazing when it works. But when it works is highly situational, and reliant on survivors making the mistake of staying in the match too long. If blood warden were to be reworked or buffed, what would want to happen? Personally I believe it should be reworked. The idea i came up with requires the killer11 comments 101 views last activity

I know this ones going to rub a lot of people the wrong way. But before you start furiously typing away in the comments, consider how much you rely on exhaustion perks to cover for your mistakes. I even find myself getting dependent on these. Personally I feel that wraith as a whole is an outdated killer, even with the quality of life changes he's recieved. As well as the light burn mechanic that can counter him, unless he has uncloak time addons that enable him to exit before he gets burned. Edit: another thing I can think of is the godawful killer FOV. What do y'all feel is outdated and needs updating with survivors and killers?42 comments 721 views last activity

There's a phrase that I heard recently, "chasing the dragon". Basically meaning that you're trying to attain a bigger and better high than before no matter the tolerance you've built up to the drug. In 'Doors Unknown' the entity takes the form of a massive dragon and kills The Blight multiple times. So basically, Blight is stuck in an infinite cycle of Blight fluid high induced by the entity17 comments 991 views last activity

Personally I think something like what Hunt: Showdown does would be best. With noise hazards alerting other hunters of your position. There could be broken glass on the ground in some places, making loud crackling noises if you step on it. Piles of cans that make rattling sounds when disturbed. They could also be map dependent, like cold wind having a cage full of pigs that squeal when anyone11 comments 131 views last activity

I've been wondering this for a couple days now. It wouldn't exactly be meta shattering for a killer to know how close a survivor is to wiggling. I think at some point the devs said they wanted the "carrying a survivor to the hook" section of a match to be somewhat risky for killer ( could be wrong, don't quote me on this ). Even if the above is true, I still don't see the harm in being able to74 comments 1,191 views last activity

After a hiatus from hillbilly I've come back to him, what in the absolute [BAD WORD] are his addons? As the title says I came back to billy after maining blight for a while. I was aware his addons were pretty bad, but after reading their descriptions... just why? Just as a major example, demorgogon has a sound cue for essentially everything he does. If he whiffs, global Sound cue, if he makes the hit, global sound cue. If he uses his teleport, global sound cue. Another example would be clowns grunt when going through a window... who's bright idea was that? Hillbilly let's out a yell when he begins his charge. This is truly a blessed week! BHVR is generous enough to give us 500 shards and 10,000 blood points! WOW! But in all seriousness what in the absolute [BAD WORD] is this? Just had a game where if I turned left or right the frames tanked, if I decided to do anything other than stand still and breathe, the frames would tank. As some of y'all are well aware, I'm a blight main on ps4. If that doesn't make you internally cringe then I don't know what will. I've watched PC blight mains do their thing... and holy [BAD WORD] [BAD WORD] those guys make some of the tightest turns I've seen. Thank you all for your suggestions. The Scrooge McBlight build will consist of BBQ, Hoarder, NOED, and Franklin's demise. I'm currently attempting the machinist challenge ( finish repairing 3 generators) I've been having to run a broken key because I don't have bond yet. four matches in a row I've been tunneled out of the game early. You can pretty much guess that the killers think I'm going to go for the early escape. Especially after mori's were nerfed and keys were not changed at all. I'm not sure what it could do for some killers, but here's the ones I came up with. I'm only doing original killers for now. Trapper - survivors would be hindered for 30 seconds after escaping a trap. They will also leave a blight trail. Wraith - increases the duration of the speed boost gained after uncloaking. Gives wraith a blight trail during the speed boost. Hag- hinders survivors wh5 comments 181 views last activity

TL:DR ( bring totem tracking items and perks, it is a common meta, and easily countered ) Now look, of any meta we've had this is the easiest one to counter. If you know this is a common killer build, then it is on you to try and counter it. Plus, when they're gone, you've made the killer only rely on two perks for the rest of the match. There are currently three methods of countering this met32 comments 571 views last activity

So first, let's start off by saying that across the reworked maps, the ground textures look very much the same, with the exception of badham and ormond. (TL:DR, previous events had themed objects, and a bloodbunt. The advent calender, despite being downgraded, is still a highly disappointing event) Let's preface this post by saying winter events in dbd have never been a huge deal. They were never the same scope as 2018 hallowed blight. But anyway, onto the post proper. So, way back in the not so good, good 'ol days of 2017, the first winter9 comments 181 views last activity

Remember when they just used to give us frosty eyes at the beginning of an event because every killer had them? I guess they want to pretend they're special event loot now. Either that or they needed to pad this poor excuse for a downgraded event. The free shards are nice, but the bloodpoints are just absolutely pathetic.16 comments 911 views last activity

Today alone I've just gone against 3. Everytime I broke a pallet they seemed to be ludicrously far away. At first I just chalked it up to latency, but when I got near an injured one they just zoomed away. They do it so much that they're always out of sight while in a chase. That's why I'm deciding to keep crossplay off until that crap is dealt with. This happened in 3 separate matches, each8 comments 101 views last activity

A lot of people I've seen on here talk about solo que survivors as if they are helpless at all times. But that isn't true, a good solo survivor can carry a team under the right conditions. Plus, solo survivors will always seem weak in comparison to SWF. Who can sometimes be scary to go against, but most of the time are just two people screwin' around. What is the issue however, is matchmaking17 comments 361 views last activity

For me, the visceral cankers could be interacted with by both survivors, and killers. Interacting with it would activate a 2.5 second animation where it shows your character pulling out a syringe, and taking blight serum from the canker. This would earn you 1/6 of the vial. Visceral cankers could be taken from by everyone before they die. There would also be alternate methods of earning serum,0 comments 21 views last activity
