I think it looks like it might be pretty damn good. Or am I the only one?
I agree, it’s much stronger and it will be interesting to try it out. I like Tinkerer as it is now in concept, but unfortunately unless you’re playing a mobile killer you just can’t get to the gen in time more often than not. Making it so that you’re notified at 75% rather than 85% will make it more usable for actually getting to gens that aren’t right next to you. It could be fun paired with Ruin.

What about hag justifies a nerf in your opinion...
I think her base is mostly fine but I think her power has a bit too much range.
Just to clarify: I’m not a main on either side, I’ve played a ton of Hag and I enjoy playing against her, even when she stomps me I enjoy it. I know how Hags play so it’s fun for me to try and anticipate their placements and how they deal with structures. But I stopped playing her because I was annihilating almost every group I faced, even when I didn’t play my best.

Most likely a fair point but again if the trend serves correct that means hag a set up killer who has limitations already is next which if that does not scare you idk what will. After her will be spirit next im calling it they want to heavily limit map pressure.
As a former Hag main, I don’t think a small nerf to her would be unwarranted in all honesty. I also think Spirit deserves another add on nerf. So the idea doesn’t really scare me, I wish the devs would make these kinds of changes more often.

You know what is crazy about this its the map pressure killers they are heavily nerfing id hate to be a hag main right now because lets face it oh boy shes going to be killed. @SpaceCoconut Id find a new main bud real talk shes 100% next on the chopping block.
Maybe they’re making changes to map pressure killers because they made a bunch of changes to make maps smaller and less safe?

Obviously it's a bit early to say if these are actually good or bad changes, but how do people feel about hearing these? Both Cannibals rework to add ons and his power, aswell as Hillbillys.
On paper they both look good to me. I’m keeping an open mind until they’re on the PTB though and people can actually test them.
-
Obviously it will be difficult to tell until it’s tested live, but it looks like an overall buff to me, with a nerf to his ability to stand and face camp the hook. I’m actually quite impressed.

It depends if it is really a win for BHVR in the end. Because more people would have bought the Set if it would be mixable. Even if they only intend to use only parts of it, players most likely buy the full outfit because it is cheaper and it might be work out with future Cosmetics.
But someone who does not like the full outfit will not buy it. And then people who dont like Sets will not buy it as well. So while it might be less workload to create the Skin, the income will most likely be less as well.
I am just wondering if I will get morid for buying and using the Skin. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I’m sure that if it’s less profitable to do it this way they’ll stop releasing sets. But the number of people I’ve seen running around with sets on tells me they won’t struggle to sell these skins.
-
@ABannedCat said:
My only explanation is because its easier and faster to create, since you have have less clipping issues to take into account. Maybe this is the first step to Behaviour just mass-producing skins at an increased rate now. Which in turn will generate more money.
This is exactly it.
They can create more skins at a faster rate since they don’t need to test how they interact in every possible cosmetic combination, or spend resources fixing the inevitable cosmetic issues that have to be fixed every patch. Expect this to be the new norm.

On PS4 I see nothing but birthday cake every other round. One match my Clown got 180,000 BP from hooking everyone and stuff. 5 slices of cake + 4 BBQ&C stack. It’s insane right now on console. Today I’m going to start telling survivors BP farm to level up the killers needed for my obsession builds.
Nice! I had some pretty good luck yesterday, a few 5 cake rounds that gave me a ton of points. I played one match earlier and nobody else used a cake at all. :( Maybe daytime players are just stingier.

im bored so i thought i will share my list.. this is my list so for some people that will be strange :D
1 = most fun
20 = boring/unfun
1. Nurse, exactly i love to play against nurses. a lot of chase interactions! doesnt need to be a God nurse but a decent one, also baby nurses are not fun obviously! as long its not a hard slugging nurse i love to play against them.
2.Myers! who doesnt love myers? (Shirtless myers pLeAsE!
3. Hillbily! a skilled billy is always nice! my favourite is crack billy
4.Trapper, well im a trapper main so obviously its always fun to play against him!
5.Huntress! a good huntress is always nice to play against, but only when she doesnt throw with refrigerators!
6.Pig! Boop the snoot ;)
7.Clown BUT only when he is wearing the mr puddles outfit. even tho i love him a lot of people facecamp him what makes me sad and sometimes very boring to play against him.
8.Oni - a good oni not a baby!
9.Demoflower! also fun
10.Leatherface, same as clown. a lot of people play him wrong what makes it also boring.
11.Plague, as long she isnt hard slugging its fun against her. otherwise meeeh
12.Hag - no comment on her
13.Ghostface, i just hate stealhy killers
14.Wraith. same as GF
15.Doc - also no comment
16.Pyramid head (cant say a lot about him, didnt played that much so for now he is down here.
17.Freddy, POP and BBQ the most annoying and boring combo on freddy, most freddys are bloodlust every pallet with snares what makes him boring and a braindead killer. (sorry freddy mains)
18.Spirit, with stridor. she could be on the top 5 IF not everyone would use stridor with her, no chase interactions at all. boring.
19.Deathslinger with M&A, unfun and boring
20. Legion, most boring and annoying killer, not chase interactions just mending all the time.
i hope i didnt forgot anyone. do you agree with this list, and what is your favourite killer and least favourite?
I disagree with a lot of your list. Nurse most fun? Oof.
Just goes to show that the concept of a “fun killer” is subjective. I actually don’t mind being chased by Legion at all these days, I’d take 100 Legions over a Nurse.

Before the hotfix there was a minimum 2 cakes every match(non of them mine) now only my cake 4 out of 5 matches? Did everyone waste them earlier? Whats happening? Whats happening???
Survivors have decreased chances for cake now since they’re more likely to spawn flashlights and medkits in their blood webs instead. And they might have used the cakes they had already since it took over a week for the stacking issue to be fixed.
-
Something about gen rush, gens go too fast, survivors only hold M1, etc.
I feel like this particular stock is climbing. A couple of weeks ago I would have said “nerf NOED” but that seems to have dropped off lately.
-
Balance. Some abilities are lethal enough that they need some slowdown in order to allow counterplay and make the use of the power more of a judgement call. If Huntress didn’t slow down at all while holding a hatchet you’d be stupid not to have a hatchet out 100% of the time for her, which would be a bit ridiculous. And Myers stalking your at 115% speed would give the survivors no chance at all to avoid being stalked, he’d just run around the map stalking at all times.
The reason the Clown change was necessary was because his power doesn’t actually do any damage directly, it just allows him to catch up faster. Except that he was slowed while using it, which defeated the whole purpose of it. It’s not like a Billy chainsaw, where having him chase you around a loop at 115% speed while feathering his saw would be completely overkill.
-
Killer is way more fun for me. You can’t get facecamped or tunnel mori’d, you don’t have teammates sandbagging or farming you, even if you have a bad game you’re not gonna end it with 3k bloodpoints because you were left to die or you were deleted from the game.
As killer I feel more in control of how my game goes the vast majority of the time. And if I have a match that frustrates me I can just switch off to the match a bit and just focus on farming bp. I don’t find killer anywhere near as stressful as solo survivor because I know that as killer, it’s all on me. If I do badly it’s usually because I ######### up.
Most survivors are really bad and I’ve been playing long enough that I know how to counter a lot of stuff. So I can play relaxed, kill three people and let the last guy leave in the vast majority of my matches. What’s not fun about that?
-
This is a really weird change, I’m not sure I get it. If no survivors are nearby and you’re playing Bubba this add on helps you to slug... but why would you want to in that situation? I could understand if it was Billy but Bubba?

Actually it does, because if there's only 2 people left, camping IS a tactic, whether you like it or not. Just means now the cage is useless when it's 2v1. It would be reasonable if NO ONE could see the cage, or they compensated by removing the yellow gen from PH's perk, but, like op said, anything to please the survivor base.
If the devs’ only concern was pleasing the survivor base, NOED would have been deleted long ago and they wouldn’t have reworked several maps. They care about balancing the game for both sides.
-
@Erk said:
Is the button to grab survivors not m1 ? This is not a joke, I legit don't know since I grab them sometimes and I sometimes don't.
Click the attack button, don’t lunge. You can grab them off a generator, totem or unhook (possibly chests? I can’t confirm since I’ve never actually tried). You can also grab them when they’re vaulting a window or pallet if they’re injured.
Unfortunately grabs are often subject to latency so you’ll sometimes enter the grab animation but not get it.
-
@Bingbongbong said:
Doesn't it say 1 second within 5 meters?
If that's true i wonder if you'd be able to cut off a survivor coming for a save and force the cage to relocate, Seems like a very strange change to me.
So if this is true, if you beat a nearby survivor to the cage you can probably deny them the rescue. It’ll be interesting to see this in action.
Edit: I just reread and realised I said exactly the same thing as you just worded slightly differently, haha. Sorry for redundancy!
-
Instead of disconnecting, you could have just slugged them and gone after their teammates.
-
Because it’s a cheap and easy camp. PH could just beeline to the cage and prevent any kind of safe rescue. With hooks you at least have a chance to save someone, but with cages there really isn’t anything you can do (no BT, no DS, and his ranged attack is an area of effect so he can just stand next to the cage and instantly down the saved survivor again).
Removing his ability to see the cage aura shouldn’t affect anyone who wasn’t using the cages for that. It’s still faster than hooking and prevents pallet/flashlight saves and DS, so it still has its uses.
-
It’s today! I’m so happy :)
-
I just don’t understand why either of these perks has a cooldown. It’s not a strong enough effect to warrant it, in my opinion.

I don't know if this is a personal issue or a server bug, that's why I'm asking, and I don't knoow how to fix it.
No, I'm not using VPN and I don't want to download any because I'm scared of exploting it.
So yeah, are you guys havng the same issue?
PC btw
I haven’t had it recently but I do get this sometimes - being connected to a different (further away) server, probably because of long wait times. Usually I just stop playing for a bit and when I come back later it’s sorted itself out.

But survivors teabag-pointing is hilarious. It looks so stupid it makes me crack up every time I see someone doing it. Why would you not appreciate this great gift?

Every now and then I go against Freddy in a trial and I'm already like "this isn't going to be bad trial"
I see a lot of people making their own tier list of the best killers and they are always putting Freddy at the top around S or high A and I don't understand. I've always been able to quickly get out of the dream phase he does and because I'm not running around the middle of the map, I go unnoticed the whole game.
I feel like he's not as impressive as the other killers cause he's easy to spot with that annoying strut he does that makes him look like he's about to T-pose. Plus, like the huntress, he has the music that follows him around making him easy to invade.
Are people just ranking him that high because of the generator control he has? because other than that he's not a hard killer to go against.
It’s because he has almost everything in his kit. Information, anti-loop, slowdown and mobility. He’s also short (easier to mindgame) and his terror radius in the dream world is confusing. He has a ton of strengths and no real weaknesses.
That doesn’t mean he’s unbeatable or that you’re guaranteed to win just by picking him. Bad killer fundamentals will still lose you games as Freddy. But the upper limit of his strength is higher than similar killers with less utility, like Clown or Demogorgon.
-
@Dopples said:
I know rankings don't really matter in the grand scheme of things, and that I should focus on improving more than anything, but I just can't seem to break free of purple ranks on killer. I've watched guides, gameplay of good killers, etc. And for the most part they've helped me a ton just getting to rank 5~7 relatively easily. But from here, it's been a struggle to even avoid depipping vs teams of red ranks. It almost feels like a different kind of game since they typically don't fall for mindgames, and usually are organized enough to pop 2 gens or so in the first few minutes of the match even when I actively go out of my way to patrol them (I typically run Corrupt Intervention to help with this), or corral survivors I do find towards gens so I can injure a ton of survivors at once. If I do happen to get a down in around a minute or a half, gens are already popping even when I do.
Basically, it feels like I need to commit to chases to cause actual damage/pressure to survivors, but if I do so, I risk letting gens pop. If I only just injure them and then return to the gens, they basically just spread out and get them done slower on their own. So that even if I end up hooking one, those gens soon follow. Could I possibly get some advice? Cause it feels like I shouldn't be struggling this much after practicing as much as I have.
For the record, I play a multitude of killers with the following perks. Add-ons vary depending on mood and what I see in the lobby (Also, I play Michael as well, but I've yet to get all the perks for him I want);
Pyramid Head (Corrupt Intervention, Pop Goes the Weasel, Trail of Torment, Surveillance)
Deathslinger (Sloppy Butcher, Monitor & Abuse, Corrupt Intervention, BBQ & Chili)
Demogorgon (Save the Best for Last, Pop Goes The Weasel, Thrilling Tremors, Corrupt Intervention)
Ghostface (BBQ & Chili, Discordance/Nurse's Calling, Pop Goes The Weasel, Thrilling Tremors)
Legion (Discordance, Pop Goes The Weasel, BBQ & Chili, Thanataphobia)
Doctor (Sloppy Butcher, Ruin, BBQ & Chili, Save The Best for Last)
It kind of sucks to say it, because it’s not a very fun thing to do, but sometimes you have to slug to claw back the match.
If the survivors are injured and pushing the gens hard, slugging can slow down their progress enough to allow you time to hook. And mid-match if you down a survivor and see another nearby, chase them. This will mean one survivor down, one being chased, and one more will have to leave their gen to pick up the slug, buying you more time.
Unfortunately, most of the M1 killers (which you’re playing) just don’t have the time to hook everyone 3 times and defend 5 generators. With no mobility and no insta down, you can’t apply pressure fast enough to slow down the gens by downing and hooking people one by one.
-
I think it’s a strong perk and balanced on most killers, but unfortunately on a couple of others it’s a touch too strong. I have a feeling that you’ll get a lot of disagreement here though.
(I’m still surprised that perks like Surge and Thrilling Tremors have cooldowns and this one doesn’t.)
-
I’m starting to think that this is BHVR’s solution to the solo/SWF balance discrepancy. If you make solo survivor such a miserable experience that everyone starts to play SWF, the problem solves itself!
-
@Munqaxus said:
If Bubba does this all the time, I don't see how he's a level 1. He's not getting any points.
If he’s happy to hack the game he probably just hacks his rank as well.
-
It’s more the potential strength of the perk that people have a problem with than how common it is. It’s the same thing with moris, for example - personally I don’t encounter them often, and then half the time I do the player using them isn’t that great and most survivors escape. That doesn’t negate how unbalanced they are by design though.
Same with Object. For it to be at its most annoying would probably be a 4 man SWF with their best looper running Object against a killer that is heavily countered by it (Trapper, Hag or Freddy for example). Not a common occurrence, by any means, but that doesn’t make it any less bs to deal with.

Does anyone else have this atm. It was heavy in every killer game. Then i switched to surv and there were less lags but other killers had same heavy lags like in chase getting blinked 10m back...
Are you sure it’s not your connection? Have you checked it to make sure nothing is dropping on your end?
Also worth checking - sometimes when connecting to lobbies I get put into a weird server far from me with like 150 ping, so always check the ping indicator at the bottom right. You can just back out and try again if it’s bad.
Other than that, I play in Europe and can’t say I’ve noticed anything personally.

How the hell do you even play on keyboard and mouse? I find it so hard to keep my fingers ready for something like looking back to see, while running without stopping for a second.
What I'm looking for are some tips, like what sense should I use how should I have my hand at the keyboard, stuff like that. Because me thinking I could play huntress better has gone to a nightmare. Thank you.
It’s 99% just practice. You’ll keep pressing the wrong keys, walking into stuff, moving the wrong way and so on for a while but the more you use keyboard and mouse the easier it gets. I’m still learning myself and some of my moonwalks are awful but they’re improving all the time.
In concept it’s the same as the joysticks - you reverse your movement when you swing your camera 180 degrees. You just have to learn how to do that with key presses instead of swivelling your sticks. It takes your brain a while to get the hang of it.
You can always download a free/cheap game and play that for a bit to practice KBM controls. Warframe is a good one. Another thing that helped me was watching streamers who have mouse and keyboard inputs on their screen - watch their movement and see how it translates from their key presses.

Pay attention to the title mate i haven't told that we are lack of killers, i have told that we are lack of red rank killers. That's why purple&green rank killers match with red rank survivors most of time and they just shoot out "Hey look at my game! This matchmaking is broken!! bla bla.I am playing on PC and my que times are normal 2-3 minutes.Rank 5 killer.
So you’re assuming that the weird matchmaking in this game is a sign that there are no red rank killers? I don’t think that’s a safe assumption to make unless you have some evidence for it.
I’m a red rank killer and my queues are longer than my red rank survivor queues, and when I play survivor I’m matched with a different red rank killer every game. So from this should I assume that there are too many red rank killers? Or just accept that the matchmaking in this game has always been a little off and that it’s impossible to draw any conclusions about the state of the player base from it.
-
What do you mean? OoO is totally a high risk, high reward perk. It’s not like you can just counter-rotate and position yourself away from the killer and only take chases when you’re in strong areas of the map, right? Or run Sprint Burst and dash away to a safe loop when they approach you, causing them to waste enough time chasing you that your teammates are free to do gens in peace. It’s not like OoO is a lose-lose for the killer in which they either ignore you and let you have wallhacks on them all game, or chase you and let you buy tons of time for your team.

I played this morning and got instant Survivor Queues. But if I play Killer during that time, I have to wait almost 10 minutes.
Its just stupid that people still want to push this narrative "There are no Red Rank Killers anymore!". When Killer queues are long, you dont read "No Red Rank Survivors anymore" in this Killer-sided forum.
I think some of the people saying that are playing on console. People should probably clarify when they talk about game balance/lack of killers/etc. whether they mean console or PC because it’s like talking about two different games.
My experience is the same as yours - killer queues are as long as or longer than survivor queues these days. On PS4 though it’s a totally different story, killer queues are instant and survivors wait 20 minutes.
-
Solo is fun if the team you’re paired with isn’t terrible. They don’t need to be amazing, the bar is low enough - just not terrible. Unfortunately I run a lot of aura reading perks and often spectate after I die so I regularly see my team do stuff like get hit metres away from a pallet only to run through it and pull it down (why?), Self Care against Legion, cleanse right next to the Plague who’s chasing someone else, crouch in the corner of the map when the killer is hooking someone miles away, camp pallets, and so on. I’m talking really basic mistakes that unfortunately just sabotage the rest of the team’s chances.
Thats the frustration of solo queue a lot of the time: it’s not about winning, it’s about not feeling like you were sabotaged by someone else. Sometimes the killer is just really good, and those matches are fun. But that’s how survivor works at its core, you’re all reliant on each other, so the only way to escape that feeling is to play with people that you know won’t do stuff like that.
I really don’t think most people play SWF so they can win all the time. Some of them are pre-existing friend groups and some are just looking for teammates who won’t ruin their experience, intentionally or not.

Crossplay was a bug I encountered myself and other streamers aswell.
DDoSing is something so simple that anyone can do that in 5 minutes. U can't compare it to the complexity of making a different account handing out timeouts as he wish. That could be having root access on developer level.
Spamming steam pop ups? I think this was just someone sending trade requests? Unless you have a source to show me that it was a hack.
Idk what you mean by the last point
Crossplay was able to be forced by hackers.
The steam pop ups and killer in survivor lobby are things I saw first hand but can’t find video of now. If I find them I’ll edit them into this comment.
All I’ll say is that it’s not difficult for people to hack this game, there are plenty of security flaws and the people doing it talk about it openly on forums and discord servers. Obviously I can’t and won’t give specifics, but if you think this is a secure game or hosted on secure servers you’re mistaken.

But tru3 can't know that, he was just assuming it. I personally assume its a bug because it's more likely than a hacker who hands out timeouts to anyone he wants.
He’s assuming it because hackers have done numerous similar things to him and other streamers in the past:
- forcing crossplay
- DDoSing
- spamming steam pop ups
- forcing themselves into the person’s SWF as a killer
There are tons of instances of people doing stuff like this with video evidence.

That's what I think, yes. I didn't have any problems until I set it to 0%. It could just be a coincidence, though.

Well, on the other side I am not surprised they chose tru3 as their victim since he has a bad behavior and is toxic and salty as well and blames other's for his own mistakes all the time.
Lack of a streamer mode isn’t the problem here. What’s to stop a salty teammate from locking someone out for not playing how they want? You don’t have to be a big name streamer to get hacked, you just have to annoy the wrong person.
The problem here is that the ban system in this game is easily exploitable. This is really embarrassing for the devs. Between this and the log file exploits from before the last patch, I feel like Behaviour needs serious help with the security of their game.

Better question: why do so many people who play this game seem desperate to assume the victim role? Like they think the devs are biased against their “group” and they’re an oppressed minority, when in reality it’s just an asymmetrical game so it’s impossible for it to be balanced 1:1 for both roles in every single respect.
-
I want to print this out and staple it to the head of half my teammates, along with one that says “stop throwing pallets against Legion in frenzy”. So many survivors have no idea how to adapt their actions to the killer they’re facing, it’s so annoying.
