Kinda confused why i logged on and got a message saying i was gifted 444k bloodpoints. I mean hey i aint complaining, I'll take it but just confused? Did anyone else get this?
They’re free bloodpoints as part of the event because the offerings were bugged. Enjoy!

I don't want Alien since this game ruins the immersion of scary horror monsters. Like, YOU JUST DON'T TEABAG THE ALIEN! Alien instakills you if s/he finds you. It just doesn't fit to this "horror"/bullysimulator game. Just no no!
Psssh. I bet Ripley would have teabagged the Alien Queen if her cargo loader could crouch.

the problem wiith it was with old balanced landing but people still calls it survivor sided and broken by some reason. As killer I don't have any problem except that there are 3 or 4 god pallets
If you know what you’re doing as survivor it is broken. All of the gens are safe and spread out, the fences create unmindgameable loops, there are quite a few really strong pallets and the basement building is ridiculous, with multiple strong windows and a god pallet. Most survivors don’t know how to run any of the Haddonfield tiles properly so they run blindly and die fast, but that doesn’t negate the strength of the map unfortunately.

Yes and i elobareted on that for you so you understand that when you main a certain killer it does rarely matter whether they buff other killers because you do not play them as much if at all. Because killers are not skins like survivors.
So yeah for lots of players who did like to play nurse it can still feel the exact same way because they do not have the decency to fix the bugs they introduced while talking some crap about treating it with the utmost respect. Yet when a bug appears that does nearly the same for survivors it gets fixed asap. Like the movement speed bug on one of her addons, oh survivors are not able to use a perk against a certain killer well better drop everything we need to fix it asap. Meanwhile you sit there for months to hear about a bug fix that disables your power by random or that just splits it in half. Wanna get into how sounds have been broken? MM has been broken? Nah better spend the ressources on not needed fun cooldowns to look at like overheat.
Also you know what? I prefered old freddy, was he frustrating to play? Yes but at least it was not the same snoozefest it is nowadays when you play or play against freddy as he was all about mindgames in the transition from awake to sleep. Now every freddy plays the exact same way with the exact same perks with little to no mindgames at all in the entire game.
To think that it is whiny and entitled to want the devs to fix stuff they broke just so you can enjoy the game you really have an issue. Also the killer can only teleport through walls if the game doesnt decide no more blinks for you in this game. But hey it sure is really ######### fun to run around slower as any survivor with no power at all on the map, better not say anything how much that sucks because that is very entitled and whiny.
Did you miss the part of my comment where I said that they are planning universal buffs which will help all killers? Did EGC have no effect on some killers? Did insta heal nerfs and toolbox nerfs only help some killers? Can only some killers use buffed perks? No.
Your rant about bugs has nothing to do with the original topic which was that the devs hate killers and love survivors. I also don’t think it’s entitled to want bug fixes but I do consider this quite whiny and self-centered: “tell me what does a buff to trapper, clown, plague, doctor and freddy matter to me when I play nurse?”
Not everything is about you. The devs don’t exist to focus on what YOU think is important. Their focus SHOULD BE (and is) the game as a whole. That means trying to help as many players as they can with the resources they have.
-
This is just a new perk, Can’t Stop Me, from the leaked DLC. Survivors are able to keep playing the match while on the hook. Some killers have complained that it’s a bit too strong but it seems fair and balanced to me.

This a common view problem, tell me what does a buff to trapper, clown, plague, doctor and freddy matter to me when I play nurse? You know killers are not like survivors, they are not just skins but actually play diffrent.
Nurse has been bugged for months since those slight adjustments, maps were shrunk by 1% right? I doubt that they even fixed the infinite on the oni mapm, maps like ormond are still a joke for every good survivor as you can connect tile after tile after tile. Hilariously easy to run no skill required whatsoever be it ressource management etc.. you go ahead and show me a single change to survivors that added "skilled" play to it.
The person I replied to said that they feel like killers are punching bags and the devs protect survivors. Tell me why the devs would buff and rework poorly performing killers if they only care about survivor fun?
The way some people talk it’s like the devs come together to find creative new ways to spit on killer players and personally hate them. It’s delusional. Every new update brings long-needed killer buffs in some form or another. But boo hoo, you play a killer who can literally teleport through walls so window reworks don’t help you. That must be such a burden to bear. They didn’t fix every single problem with the game all at once so they hate me!!!
You guys are so damn whiny and entitled I’m surprised the devs still bother to listen to anyone in the community at all.

Im upset because of the timing. I still feel like the game needs more balance. Mainly on the survivor side. With all their second chance perks, all the hitboxes and the plan fact survivors just do not fear the killers in general. This is also not mentioning the hot mess called matchmaking. Yet the devs feel this is the best time to nerf billy? Despite all the other problems plaguing the game? It honestly feels like they are making killers punching bags while protecting survivors. Im sure im about to get 3 people at least telling me how thats not true. But thats honestly how i feel.
“It honestly feels like they are making killers punching bags while protecting survivors.”
But this feeling is just that - a feeling. It isn’t based in reality.
The devs have given killers multiple buffs recently. Smaller maps, fewer pallets, weaker windows, weaker toolboxes, slower co-op gens, insta heals gone, buffs to Trapper/Clown/Plague, Doctor and Freddy reworks which buffed them massively. How can you look at all of these positive changes and honestly think that killers are punching bags?
The matchmaking sucks sometimes, I think everyone can agree with that. But they have a new system in the works so it’s not like this is an issue they’re ignoring. They’ve also confirmed that they’re looking into slowing down the early game and nerfing keys, two of the biggest complaints killers have. I’m sure they have other things in the pipeline as well that they can’t mention.

I dont see that as a bad thing though. Just means you have to be on guard instead of turning off your brain while holding M1 on a gen. Its like getting crossmap sniped by Huntress. You should stay aware of your surroundings.
The issue isn’t that it’s necessarily unbalanced now, but that the game will never be balanced for other killers while that level of mobility is in the game. They can’t buff all the weaker killers without tuning Billy down, because any universal buff to chases, map size, gen speed, early game slowdown, etc. which those killers are more in need of will just buff him even more and he’s already very good. I think they’re looking long term with this kind of change, which is why they say that they’re happy with his current performance but changing his base kit anyway.
-
Ormond may not have three thousand mile walls, but it does have three thousand safe pallets. Both maps in their current state need to go.

It’s when you switch your character in the lobby. It doesn’t register the new character’s offering properly, so until it’s fixed you can avoid this happening by not switching characters.

For bad faith: Lying about the changes reasons "Skill expression" is nothing more then meaningless buzz words.
Lying about the nurse add-on update ONLY EFFECTING THE ADD-ONS. They flat out said no base kit changes then did base kit changes.
They do these lies all the time and its getting old.
As for pig here's a better question: What is the difference between a reverse bear trap end game build vs a normal one outside of reverse bear traps acting as a blood warden for 1 player along with her needing to not use any for the entire game along with needing to get end game downs.
Pig's end game builds would be as "stupid" as everyone else's and a pure meme due to the nature of those builds of not working most of the time.
Ultimately the pig nerf was for no real reason.
When did they say they weren’t making changes to her base kit? In the developer notes about the Nurse changes they explicitly mention base kit changes and why they’re making them: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/93557/designer-notes-nurse-changes#latest
The difference between a regular end game build and a Pig trap end game build is that active head traps prevent survivors from leaving through the exit gates at any point, and their 2 and a half minute timer is longer than the 2 minute EGC timer.
I’m not sure I understand your argument though, you think end game Pig was a weak meme build but it was also a huge nerf to remove it? Pig’s traps work exactly the same during the trial as they did before, and she got a buff to her crouch/uncrouch speed. So for the Pigs that use her traps to stall the match as intended, she’s no worse off. I know the EGC change made absolutely no difference to my Pig matches because I actually get downs and active traps before the end game.
And like I said in my last comment. More killers have been buffed in the last year than have been nerfed, not to mention the multiple universal buffs to all killers. So making out like the devs are on a killer nerf spree is based on nothing but some people’s insistence on playing the victim.

The devs will add on a cooldown say its for skill expression and called it a day.
They do enough killer changes in bad faith that I along with others wouldn't be too surprised if they actually did it(Remember they nerfed Pig TWICE for no reason).
They didn’t nerf Pig for no reason, they nerfed Pig to kill stupid end game trap builds when they introduced EGC. You can disagree with their reasons all you want but saying it was “for no reason” is incorrect.
What exactly is bad faith about their killer changes? Adding limits to some of the best killer abilities in the game (teleportation and an instadown map-wide sprint) seems unjustified to you? Or is it them buffing some of the struggling killers (Clown, Trapper, Plague, Doctor, Freddy) that you think is bad?
-
Never, because unlike the Hillbilly’s power which gives you some of the best mobility in the game and unlimited instadowns, Wraith’s power gives you a slight speed boost and prevents you from even injuring survivors. So you guys can give up on this stupid “joke” any time.
-
I’d be extremely surprised if most people have issues. In a dev stream a little while back they said that a ping of 150 is good, so the vast majority of players will probably not be penalised if they have similar thresholds for server validation. It will most likely only be those on VPNs or with god awful connections that will suffer, and that’s fair IMO.
-
Pupper! He’s so cute 😍

Base Spirit is fine. Spirit with no Stridor is fine. Spirit with Stridor and good add ons is busted, and people complain about that for good reason.
I actually don’t mind most Spirits, I know how to keep a chase going against 90% of them since I also play her, but the ultra sweats with ebony moris and NOED and mother daughter ring are kind of ridiculous. If you need all of that on Spirit you’re just bad, sorry.

When every killer have Barbecue & Chilli? I just lost to Oni 17lvl with this perk, another one. I didn't know he have it! How could i? And when i know, its already to late. :/
HOW this is fair?
IMO that's why gameplay is a mess, basically devs cannot balance killer and survivors with shared perks, because those will pile on and they just can't balance every perk with each other.
When i play against Leatherface i know, and Leatherface playing against 4x Laurie Strody will know she can free itself. But now its free for all and unbalanced mess.
And after reading comments about perks from killers and survivors side, it is frustrating for everyone. :/
When people reply to this post I hope they bear in mind that you’re new and cut out their condescending remarks.
This is something that you learn with experience - you’ll know which perks to expect, how to play around them, and how to identify that a killer is running them. There are a lot of perks so it can take a while but BBQ is extremely common and you should assume that every killer is running it.
You can hide in lockers, hide behind generators (their aura hides yours), or just fake going in one direction and then go in another.

It’s fine to me the way it is. We used to get less BP for offerings and we only had 2 perks to choose from when we hit tier 50, and even had less Blood Rush events. Be more thankful.
And at that time there were fewer perks and fewer characters to unlock the perks on. Those minor changes only stopped the grind from worsening too badly, they didn’t make it better.
I play pretty much all killers, which means that there are 72 perks with three tiers each that I can unlock on 20 characters. That’s insane. I don’t care to unlock everything on everyone, mostly because I know it will never happen since I have a job and a social life. But even unlocking the things I want on a handful of killers takes too much damn time.
-
No, I love flashlight users. Why would I want to discourage survivors from wasting their time going for blinds? I get a ton of free hits from it and it means they’re not on gens. Honestly there’s nothing I enjoy more than the sound of steps running behind me as I down a survivor. Give that up and sacrifice a valuable perk slot for it? No thanks.
-
Some people just hate it because they don’t want to do totems.
Personally, I don’t really care about it in maps where the totem spawns are reasonable, but good luck “just doing bones” in Lery’s. If you miss one or two of the absurdly hidden totems there you just screwed the team.
It’s also ridiculous when the killer is face camping. The counter to camping is to rush gens, but rushing gens leads to NOED. So you’re basically putting the survivors in a position where they’re screwed if they don’t do gens and screwed if they do gens, which I think is kind of bad design. But I guess this is more of an issue with camping than NOED.
-
Depends on how the match went before it. If I got a ton of hooks and it was a hard-fought battle with both sides playing well, it feels good even if it’s technically a tie. If it was a boring game where the survivors just split up and sat on gens while their teammates went into struggle or whatever, I feel a bit more negative about it but it’s fine. Two kills is ok.
As survivor, if I’m one of the two who escaped I consider it a win. If my death bought enough time for the two escaping, I feel good (unless they were useless, in which case I feel annoyed).

Here is the thing. It really doesn't.
It seems to me that at some point (maybe around when Discordance came into the picture) survivors started to spawn together more often than not.
I can only speak for experience, but I actually stopped using Shroud Of Binding offerings anymore because I didn't need them anymore. The ability to do a gen that fast when the whole team spawns together and the killer (is out of luck) and checks the wrong gen. Why wouldn't it? It would be the same as a survivor running into the killer (by accident) and immediately going down after.
The fact is everyone has experienced a generator being finished before initiating a chase (I have too). It doesn't mean that gen speed times are broken. Because by that philosophy they would have to brutally nerf perks that slow gen times. I didn't want to deal with a Forever Freddy before because of how excessive his slow down is, so why would I agree that he should be able to slow down the game even more?
Clearly you were not being gen-rushed in the video and it was just bad luck because if had you gone there first, you would have had the advantage of not letting them finish. The game works like that in many scenarios.
Spot on.
People complaining about one gen being done early miss the point that this is only possible because the survivors spawned together. The alternative to that is survivors spawning separately, which would be much worse. They think losing one gen is bad? How about losing three gens in three separate areas of the map?
The WORST thing to see as a killer is three survivors on three different gens. If you run BBQ or Thrilling and see three different gens highlighted it’s the worst possible outcome. Imagine survivors with BNPs all using them on different gens in the first minute of the match. That would be true horror, not losing one measly gen.
Survivors grouping up is always advantageous for the killer. You can only be in one place and if all the survivors are there too, that’s great for you. It’s why stuff like flashlights and bodyblocks don’t bother me. Yes, please, keep swarming me! More fun for me than a team that splits up.
-
@IceCreamPrincess said:
Whilst people say that you can just do the totems are all stack on gens, that's assuming you know the killers afk off the bat. You can spawn in and do a gen, not even thinking the killers afk just merely in a chase far off, and only realise afterwards
As for totems, theres only five to split out amongst 4 people, so one each is not nearly enough to help your emblems at all. The depipping is because of the no altruism and whatever the boldness one is, so unless you coordinate perfectly with your team you aint getting that safety pip easily
Plus, people saying "find the wraith and burn them put of cloak", how the hell do you find someone completely invisible, with the no indication being collision. Myself if the killers afk, i just accept the depip and leave as quick as possible, its not worth the hassle to dig through chests for a flashlight to then hunt through the map for them
You can hear Wraith snarling and breathing even in cloak, it’s quite loud. If your team just does the gens and opens the gates quickly you probably won’t find him but you can always check the common AFK spots like killer shack and basement.
-
It’s because all the survivors stopped playing due to constant nerfs :(
(I’m kidding, I’m kidding. This always happens during events, people capitalise on the extra bloodpoints killers get. It’ll probably go back to normal before long.)

As a result I have gone down. It may have been an oversight when they reworked the doctor, or it could’ve been intentional but it can be quite annoying at times. Has anyone else experienced this?
I think the devs are aware of it and okay with it. I know they’ve mentioned it as a possible interaction in the past but they didn’t want to change it.

- What sound(s) was silent: Another survivor’s injured sounds became silent while I was healing them. Interestingly, they were making moans of pain and I was making running breathing sounds while running towards them, then when I began to heal them their moans stopped but my running sounds continued on a loop for the duration of the heal and stopped when I finished. I was playing Meg so it was the breathing she does while running.

Sadly I have no other choice but to grind through matches to gather fragments for the Rift. I really wanna unlock that last piece of Plague cosmetic at tier 65 and I still need 15 fragments to do so. The game feels like a chore at this point but I have no other option, after all I don't wanna lose out on a limited piece of cosmetic for my favorite killer.
The cosmetic is meaningless if it doesn’t make you happy to get it, which it sounds like it doesn’t.
You absolutely have other options. Go spend some time outside, call your family or friends, hug your dog, take up knitting or badminton. Watch an old TV show you used to like, find a new one. There are tons of things to do in this life that will make you feel better than grinding a cosmetic in a game you don’t like anymore.

No matter what you do, you're getting verbally assaulted and harassed. You played well? They'll call you a tunneler, camper and other bad things. You scored a tie (2K) or even worse? You'll be ridiculed and insulted, too. And these things happen constantly, especially on higher ranks.
How can any sane person play killer and still endure hours of abuse like this? Experience like this only makes me realize how little survivors care about the community, the vast majority of them only seems to exist to torture the killer. Funny how quickly the tables turn within the Entity's realm.
I wish the devs would finally do something to make killers feel better, it's already bad enough that they're exposed to bullying due to the 1v4 setup. Now add the broken matchmaking and SWF groups to the mix and you've hit rockbottom. There's truly no break for killers.
If playing this game makes you feel like you’re “[enduring] hours of abuse”, being ridiculed and insulted, bullied, tortured... I honestly think it’s time to take a break.
Obviously it’s not okay for people to abuse others. But this is just a silly game and if it isn’t fun and isn’t adding anything positive to your life, it’s okay to turn it off and focus on things which bring you enjoyment.

Within an hour of posting the topic two devs showed up to post sarcastic replies.
I pointed out that I had posted that topic to bait some Devs into responding. They took the bait and responded.
This contradicts the excuse that they are too busy with other things to respond to feedback or suggestions.
Yes, they are very busy but not too busy to post sarcastic, snarky comments back to their player base.
Now the Topic has been deleted. I think maybe I touched a nerve regarding the engagement levels of the Devs in the community.
Poor show lads. Don't agree... Censor it!
If you go to the front page of “general discussions” right now you’ll find post after post disagreeing with the devs and their decisions. Some of them are polite disagreement and criticism, and some of them veer off into conspiracy theories, insults and people pretending they’re oppressed victims because they play one role and not the other in a video game.
Most of these threads don’t get deleted. Believe it or not but the devs and mods here are actually pretty forgiving when it comes to how people word their criticism. But they shouldn’t and don’t have to put up with insults or time wasters because people don’t like some decisions they’ve made.
I’m someone who is pretty critical of the devs, I don’t agree with some of the things they do and I’ve voiced those criticisms here. I’ve never been censored though because I’m able to voice my disagreement without talking ######### about people personally or breaking the rules of the forum. Maybe you should remember that the people you’re talking about are human beings with different opinions, not evil overlords, and try to do the same.

Then why don't do the same thing to legion and clown? Are they more happier with current clown and legion than current billy?
They probably have plans for other killers as well, in the last year we’ve had multiple changes, nerfs, buffs and QoL tweaks to killers but they tend to do them one at a time, presumably because that‘s the best way to manage it rather than changing a ton of things all at once.
Like @KingFrost said, they announced changes to the early game and these changes probably buff the lower tier killers enough that they don’t want to touch them until after that’s launched.

BHVR doesn't care about their playerbase. They just expect people to play whether the character is fun or not, look at nurse. These devs are beyond full of themselves, just lucky DBD was a surprise success in a niche category.
Since when did chainsaws allow you to sprint around at superhuman speeds? I don’t think realism is a very good argument in this game lol.

I inferred from your post that because Survivors didn't have a power to deplete that they didn't merit a stamina bar. My point (as round about as it was) was that the Survivor role is easy and a stamina bar would bring the effort required to play the role up a few notches where a survivor would have to think about when and how to run in the same way that a killer has to decide when and where to use their power.
A) The survivor role being easier and more relaxing is subjective. I disagree, I find killer easier personally.
B) Survivors already do have to think about how and when to run because they’re slower than killers and they leave scratch marks and make sound (when not bugged).

Because it doesn’t make any sense. Killers with cooldowns and such have them on their power, powers which allow them to teleport or go invisible or insta down, but survivors have no power to deplete stamina for.

I don't want to accuse the devs doing it on purpose, but to me it looks like they planned the PTB with its changes during the event so less people spend time testing it and complain about it. So when it gets live they can say "well not many complained during the PTB so it's fine how it is now. Deal with it"
This victim mentality is getting more and more ridiculous.
The event was originally supposed to end on the 7th, when the PTB is due to begin. They extended the event in response to people’s complaints and obviously don’t want to push back the PTB because it would mess with their chapter schedules. It’s not a conspiracy.
-
Another thing I find frustrating is that people complain about the meta not changing or the devs being too slow to implement changes, and then every new perk and change is proclaimed as the worst decision ever and the end of the game. A ton of people threaten to leave or boycott and then a few weeks later the player base numbers are higher than ever.
I’m critical of Behaviour, I disagree with some of the stuff they do but I genuinely feel sorry for them when it comes to stuff like this. They have a player base that complains about the game being “stale” and changes being too slow and then whenever they announce any changes, the same player base completely freaks out. “Change the game - no, not like that!” should be the slogan of this community. People have selective memories and accuse the devs of only ever nerfing THEIR side, conveniently forgetting all the changes and nerfs the other side had as well as all the buffs they got. A lot of people here behave like spoiled children.

Just to get this clear, this isn't an "I hAtE cAmpErS sO much, ScRew YoU aLl!" Kind of post. I've just noticed that these killers camp the most and it's humorous.
I main killer and I've never had a match where I was forced to camp so I wanna know what kind of strategy campers think they're going by?
My favorite part is when they camp one survivor the whole game while the rest of the team pop ALL the generators in just minutes and then we rescue the hooked survivor and all make it out. It's almost exciting when they start camping you 2-3 generators in because YOU know the other survivors want revenge so they rescue you we get out like it's nothing.
No hate toward these killers, I just feel like they camp the most.🤷🏽♀️
People who have their minds set on camping will probably choose LF to do it, since he’s naturally better at it than any other killer.
Trapper is just a defensive killer so you don’t want to roam all around the map necessarily. If they’re straight up camping though, they’re probably a newer player and Trapper is the first killer a lot of new players try so they probably invested a lot of time and BP into him.

I keep seeing people complaining about the upcoming changes and a lot of "just wait for the ptb, devs will listen if we don't like it"
hum.... when did that ever happen?
Certainly not a week before it even goes live.
Edit: Okay, to answer this question seriously, here’s a list of killers that have received changes in recent times in response to player feedback:
- Trapper
- Clown
- Doctor
- Freddy
- Plague
- Oni
