These are my solo queue matches now. Every killer build is multiple slowdown perks (with optional NOED) and the strongest add ons possible, while my teammates are running some kind of meme build with Appraisal, Up The Ante or Premonition and they die at 5 gens because they78 comments 1,601 views last activity

I’m sure there will be a lot of criticisms, so I just wanted to point out the stuff that is really good about this update: Plague buffs! Nothing super strong but some nice QoL changes that will make her feel better and less frustrating to play. Windows of Opportunity losing its cooldown - this is great and was very much needed. Step 1: Boot the game Step 2: Play as killer in a public match Step 3: Notice a survivor disconnect either very early in the match, or while loading in Step 4: Be unable to pick up downed survivors, hook downed survivors, use your killer power, etc. I was able to grab a survivor off a pallet but couldn't drop them, and another survivor flashlight blinded me and they weren't rescued. Just the title, really. I've put off getting them since I switched from console to PC and figured I'd finally give it a go, and it's 8 parts awful and 2 parts euphoric. When I finally got Adept Trapper I actually jumped out of my chair and whooped out loud, hahaha. It took several matches of hearing gen pop after gen pop with just a few hooks, but I eventually figured out the key to getting it.6 comments 81 views last activity

Just went against two Twitch streamers back to back who got very upset about mild comments in end game chat and went on long tirades about it. One guy got super angry because survivors said gg. If inoffensive comments in chat upset you, please just hide it. Obviously nobody should be saying slurs or insults, but ggs, non-insulting comments about your build, etc. are not worth getting bent out o0 comments 31 views last activity

Since reverse pallet stuns have now been removed for no clear reason, I’m wondering if pallet saves are still possible if you try to stun the killer on the same side. Has anyone been able to test this?23 comments 602 views last activity

Has anyone else been dealing with worse desync issues lately? As an example, I just had this extremely weird bug where a survivor apparently jumped into the hatch after I closed it, except the match continued on, with the survivor leaving no scratch marks or blood and the game still considering them on the hatch on my end. This is just one example, but I keep seeing a lot of weird lag, survivor5 comments 61 views last activity

So I’ve noticed that when playing solo survivor while MMR is active, it seems like I’m only getting matched with other solo survivor players, or at least other solos are the vast majority of my teammates. (I can tell they’re solo because I get a lot of the same survivors in my lobbies, but separately - so a Dwight that I played with last round will join my lobby, but with none of the others fro6 comments 111 views last activity

Platform: PC Description of the issue: If the killer disconnects from the match, you lose your item and add ons despite the game counting it as an escape. Steps to reproduce (if possible): Equip an item, play a match in which the killer disconnects, notice that your item is eaten. How often does this occur: Not sure, I’ve only noticed it once. Since it depends on the killer disconnecting it2 comments 11 views last activity

So I’d like this to be a polite and constructive discussion because this is currently my opinion, and I’d just like to know other people’s thoughts on it without any “killer/survivor bad” bickering or personal insults. As killer, I notice a huge difference in the matches where I run Ruin and the matches where I run Pop. Maybe this is just down to my playstyle, which is more of an aggressive cha21 comments 141 views last activity

The description of Dead Hard includes the following: ”Press the Active Ability button while running to dash forward. During the dash, you avoid damage.” This is not how the perk works now, you can take damage mid-dash and can no longer dash through a killer or another survivor like you previously could. So it seems that the perk is bugged.1 comments 31 views last activity

Red auras are really difficult to see on the new corn maps, at least for me. These maps have a lot of red undertone so it makes red auras particularly difficult to spot; yellow auras are fine. As it is now, BBQ is hard to use and it’s pretty difficult to see where a teammate was downed if they weren’t close to you. It’s like old Ormond.3 comments 61 views last activity

So despite playing this game for a few years off and on, I’ve never bothered to go for killer adepts and I never really learned the ins and outs of the emblem system either, since idgaf about pips. I’ve decided to try to grind for some this week as a personal challenge. Any tips? I’ve heard that some are harder than others due to the Chaser emblem - do I just avoid using certain killer powers?10 comments 91 views last activity

Hello! I’ve been away from the game for a few months and last I heard before my break, MMR was “on the way”. Has it been launched? Is it live or on pause? Thanks 🙂3 comments 71 views last activity

So I played a match of survivor earlier, and saw that I was facing a Twitch streamer. I watched the match back because it’s kind of fun to spectate the “other side”, only to notice that the extremely questionable hit I saw on my screen halfway through the match was also pretty questionable on the killer’s: https://streamable.com/smcsvw (Sorry for the cropping, but I didn’1 comments 81 views last activity

So lately I’ve fallen in love with Enduring, especially on M1 killers (mainly I’ve been running it on Pig). It’s like survivors totally forget that Enduring exists, which I understand since I never see killers running it either, and they get really greedy for pallet stuns. But being able to take the stun and immediately be on them just feels so nice, especially when they don’t expect it and start21 comments 171 views last activity

Seriously, killing yourself on first hook against a Clown at 2 gens left? Running around cleansing dull totems for the first 4 minutes when the killer has no visible hex perks and the other two on the team are being chased and chasing the killer respectively? I’m not talking about queue times, but the rainbow ranks I’m seeing in every other match for the past week. Every other match as killer or solo survivor is one of each of red, purple, green and yellow ranks. It’s not SWF because there are multiple Kindreds and if I ask, people aren’t in teams. So what’s going on, exactly? I saw earlier that the devs have said MMR isn’t on. Have they changed s16 comments 161 views last activity

So I used to play PS4, then made the switch to PC when I got a new PC some months back. Every now and then I’ll log into my PlayStation account and play a few games before remembering why I dropped it in the first place. Terrible frame rates, lag, input delay, and it looks super blurry and dark. I was lucky enough to get a PS5 recently and I downloaded DBD on it to see if it was much different,0 comments 501 views last activity

I’m not talking about accidentally losing someone and having them bleed out, or slugging someone a couple of times and their timer naturally expiring, or survivors who crawl into a corner with no hooks on purpose. I’m talking about killers who down someone, and then stand over their downed body for several minutes until they bleed out. Why is this acceptable to the devs? PC. I played a killer match (Demogorgon) on Family Residence earlier and a survivor was able to climb a rock next to a pallet and walk around on top of it. I also clipped up the side of a rock accidentally while chasing another survivor. This was at the lower half of the map, near the killer shack. I didn’t get any screenshots but will try to get some tomorrow in KYF if I’m able to replicate.0 comments 31 views last activity

I decided a little while back that I was going to make a note of the killers I faced across 100 games of survivor. So here you can find the most recent killers I faced as a red rank solo survivor playing on PC in EU servers (I'm in the UK so either London or Ireland server). Interesting things to note: I faced every single killer at least once.12 comments 731 views last activity

Is it just me? Every time I go against console rainbow ranks (so I’m assuming they’re SWF here, but it seems sort of obvious they are), they’re really fun, chill and non-toxic. I’ve never seen any of them with mega sweat builds really, the odd small pp but since I don’t tunnel a lot they don’t get to use it. Seriously. Crossplay is awesome. Thanks Behaviour, I know it’s only been a few hours but I’m loving the heck out of crossplay! This has probably been the most successful launch of a new feature I’ve seen from this game, and to accomplish what must have been a fairly complicated implementation while your staff are working from home is impressive. Nice work!5 comments 111 views last activity

Basically the title. Bitter Murmur can only activate a maximum of 5 times per game, and it also has a range limitation of 16 metres from the completed gen. But why? Would Bitter Murmur be OP if it showed all survivors’ auras, or if the range increased? Would it become meta, or would it stay niche? Would you run it? This is a perk that I pretty much never see anybody use, ever. I like the idea2 comments 91 views last activity

This was my favourite addition to the game. Being able to aggressively teabag and point at the same time was so much fun. Every team mate I did it to joined in and we had a party, and it’s not like it broke the game or had any impact on balance. The fact that this was removed before the unhook movement bug confuses me. Why was this removed? I need answers. 😢14 comments 441 views last activity

Solo survivor is now so unplayable that the only people playing the game a month from now will be four man SWFs, and they can balance accordingly. Excellent work.67 comments 4,221 views last activity

Full disclaimer: I play both sides but I’ve never played Oni, I didn’t buy the DLC so I don’t own him. Aside from the obvious early game stuff (play safe and don’t get injured to avoid him getting his power, which is kind of unrealistic in random solo lobbies), what do I do against Oni in Blood Fury? It seems like he once he gets his power the first time he just keeps getting it super fast afte26 comments 561 views last activity

Since it’s impossible to manage the cooldown on this perk unless you’re willing to hamstring yourself by waiting to down people, and since the perk’s use is already capped by a range limit, M1 attacks only, not working on already regressing gens and having to get downs on people, the cooldown is unjustified. Wondering if a mod or dev can help me with this. Is there a DBD support email or contact form I can use to report details of an exploit? I don’t really want to post about it in detail on the forums and encourage others to abuse it. Thanks!2 comments 31 views last activity

Man, this is a tough switch. I spent quite a while playing DBD on PS4, plus I’ve been gaming on console for years, so my ability with a controller is pretty good. My keyboard and mouse skills, on the other hand, are super rusty. For anyone else who’s made a switch from one to the other, how long did it take until you felt natural using the new input method? More and more lately I keep getting placed with survivors who use the pre-game chat to insult people, call them slurs, tell them to die, and say really dumb and hateful stuff. I’ve been staying in these lobbies (even though I’d rather leave, frankly) because I want to be able to report them post-game. But is pre-game chat monitored and bannable? Half of them straight up admit it in post-game chat. It’s cheating. The people who do this know exactly what they’re doing, they just don’t care. Realistically, is this something the devs can control? Is this even a problem in other multiplayer games, and if so how is it dealt with? It’s getting worse and worse over time as more basement dwellers realise they can get easy games by doing it, so33 comments 641 views last activity

Has anyone else noticed a big uptick lately in the number of survivors complaining post-game, saying stuff like “wow guys way to gen rush”? Can someone explain this mindset to me? None of the games where I’ve run into this have actually had any real gen rushing by the way, just killers over committing to chases and losing a couple of gens early. I know there are bugs, but I’m not here to give feedback on that, I’m sure people will cover it in other threads. I just wanted to let you guys (the devs) know that this patch has been a really positive experience for me. This game is almost impossible to recommend to friends because the grind is incredibly bad and unavoidable, it’s really off putting for new players. They’ll ask, “which survivor should I start with?” And I have to give an essay about using X character for Y perk, but then use this other character for Z perk, and so on and so on. Scenario: a SWF with two people running Object of Obsession, so there is always one person with aura reading relaying your actions to the rest of the team, no matter what you do. Typically if there’s one Object you can at least try to incapacitate them, but I’m not sure what the killer is supposed to do against two of them. So I try to mix up my builds as both survivor and killer, and I’ve been playing around with For The People lately. I play survivor solo 99% of the time and enjoy helping out weaker members of the team or those being focused by the killer, but this perk is so, so difficult to use without comms. I know the official line is that DBD doesn’t have aim assist, but as someone who owns the game on both PC and PS4, it’s definitely there on PS4 at least, I assume Xbox as well. In the developer update from the devs regarding Doctor’s rework, they said that he was a “polarising figure” and that they wanted to make it “less frustrating to play against him”. So why have so many of the changes made to Doc’s kit made him MORE (or equally as) frustrating, and not less? Overall, I think his rework was fine and making him more powerful and viable was a positive thing. But the35 comments 711 views last activity

So for a while there I didn’t see too many Self Cares - it seemed to fall out of favour, and I haven’t run it myself for a long time. The change the devs made to rank reset a few months back has killed the survivor half of the game for me. Almost every match I get paired with red ranks who run into a corner to Self Care against Sloppy Butcher, completely ignore the info they get from my Kindred, avoid gens like they're allergic, and go down five seconds into every chase.
