I'm a Pig main ever since i started playing dbd (Saw fan) but i question myself so many times. Do any of you experienced killers still main M1 killers (Trapper, Pig, Sadako etc.) or have shifted to anti-loop killers? It's not fun following survivors around loops with no mind game until they drop the pallet, break the pallet and on to the next. M1 killers are good on maps like Midwich where the loops have mindgame to it.
I play all killers, but prefer stalkers and jump scare killers.
meyers, ghostface, spirit, dredge, freddy, nurse (sometimes), and probably one or two i’m forgetting.

The last chapter and the upcoming chapter are disasters and the community is very unhappy. Knight is a killer that has a power that promotes holding 3 gens, the same goes for the skull merchant. Both are boring to play as and against. And this is a huge problem for DBD. If they keep pumping out bad chapters this game is going to die soon. Unless they have planned an actual banger for the upcoming anniversary event I don't have much hope that this game is going to be around for long anymore. So my hopes are that the TCM game is going to be very popular and a serious competitor for DBD. I hope that this will force BHVR to make good chapters so they can keep being the most popular asymmetrical horror game.
"But TCM isn't like DBD? Stop comparing those games."
That is true and it is also true with the other asymmetrical games. I hear that counter-argument very often when someone brings up the argument in this post. But that counter-argument is missing the point. We all shouldn't forget that despite the games not being the same, they have the same target audience. So if VHS would be successful, they are still going to be a competitor to DBD. Same goes to Evil Dead: The Game and of course the Texas Chainsaw Massacre game. And I am starting to think more and more that the only way DBD can keep itself alive is by having a competitor that puts them under pressure. Though I am also going to be realistic and acknowledge the fact that the game is only based on one license so it might be tough for them.
it wont. already looks bad and repetitive. firstly it's 3v4. secondly it's the same map every time (basically). thirdly the gameplay loop is evil dead style.

some people don't understand the rules of hide and seek.
if you're found and don't make it to home base before getting tagged you're out.
at least the entity is nice enough to give survivors 2 chances.

Hes a weak killer and they disconnect or hook suicide whats the point if u play this game?
because most survivors are babies that can't handle the stress of trying to survive.
if it's not an easy game they want out because they're addicted to the grind and if you selfishly prevent them from doing gens and getting a double pip with 40k bloodpoints then they won't like you and leave.
of course they'll say they were being tunnelled, camped, or cry wolf some other way, but at the end of the trial it's all just another excuse to lobby hop looking for an easy win.

What purpose would this actually serve other than encouraging elitism? One person's opinion is no more valid than someone else's just because their MMR is higher. Both of you are people playing a video game, we should be doing what we can to ensure that both of you have a good time. To say that only someone who's among the best in the world should have a say would imply that the opinions of the vast majority of people playing in the middle of the pack don't matter, which is incredibly selfish.
I really can't begin to stress how rare it is for someone to be near or above the matchmaking softcap for MMR. Far more people claim to be 'max MMR' when in reality, there's nowhere near that many people up there.
That said, that's what the community team is here for; to take feedback from everyone, including the people who are up there.
mmr only works with chess and other similar 1v1 static environments anyway.
even microsofts trueskill rating is mostly bogus in terms of identifying skill for larger dynamic teams.
Player 1 could be high tier, but players 2-5 might be low tier in a 6 man team. you'd have to average a person's estimated skill over an increasingly high number of concurrent matches in a short period of time and take into consideration how much a person affects the team's ability to win. and at a point it all breaks down.
especially since smurfing, account sharing, casual players, and professional gamers all share the same queue pool to an extent
videogames are always going to be about elitism. whether that's overall completion, expensive cosmetics, or ranking - players will create a meritocratic environment. unless game developers choose to remove one of the key components that makes consumers want to play their game: progression.
but it's a nice thought and i'm all for not actively encouraging it.

Yeah I get that in general - but this does include directly extracting the models from the game files, right? Just want to make sure that it doesn’t count as messing with game files or anything (I don’t want to change the actual game files just get the models to use for fan art and nothing else)
hmm... as long as the actual dbd files aren't modified when you play the game and the extraction isn't leaked content then i don't see why not?
but not 100% sure on that. isn't extraction how they do those steam workshop animations? Like these?

Is it allowed to extract models/assets etc from game files to use in 3D modeling software (Blender)?
so I have read this from the site down below and as I understand it I can create renders of the models and share those via social media as long as I don’t sell them in any way?
eg i want to take a characters model, add my own spin on it (for example creating different textures, changing or creating new clothes/meshes etc or even just create a setting/lighting)
Art
Artworks that have been created (any media) based on our games (includes models, skins, environment, weapons, etc.) cannot be sold without express permission from Behaviour.
We want you to share your amazing works on social networks like Twitter, Instagram, and community networks like Deviant Art. Just don’t sell it. Please.
umm... they're fine with you making fan art. just not profiting from it.
in other words they like the free publicity and the creative ideas that they can benefit from, but it's a licensed product so you can't market it. and if you do they want their royalties.
like... say you're an amazing artist and you create stuff that the community gets behind. they will potentially steal it and create their own version of it to be sold in their storefront, but will not give you any mention or payment. as it's an at your own risk kinda thing.
you, however, cannot steal it and sell it as dbd2 or a "spiritual successor" or mobile daylight. or something.
edit
im not a lawyer so this isn't legal advice.
also all final decisions are behaviors to make. not mine. this is just my interpretation. there are several animations on youtube that showcase blender models.

Hooks are so close together now that it’s almost pointless to struggle you would have to always bring an offering to make them further apart and probably have 2 or more people bring them just to get it back to the way it was close to a year ago. Other thing is that when you’re being tunneled or camped you shouldn’t be punished for disconnecting the killer should be punished by nothing they do the entire match counts towards challenges or bloodpoints an get rid of the timed ban for disconnecting these two things have me an several other people I know that play this game close to just deleting it and moving on to something else I know I won’t be putting any more money into this game at All until something is fixed.
Wiggling isn't about not getting hooked. it's about not getting put into the basement.
if you don't want to be punished for disconnecting then fine. but don't get mad when the killer or other survivors disconnect and your games become basically just a bunch of bots spamming disconnect as fast as possible to depip.
and punishing killers for... killing? hilarious.

Behaviour Interactive Inc. is a Canadian video game development studio specializing in the production of 2D and 3D action/adventure games for home video game consoles, handheld game consoles, PCs and mobile.
They specialize in producing bugs. Why do you defend this 'video game development studio'?
the game was affordable. new content is regularly released. i'm not forced to purchase the content to continue playing the game. the game supports solo play (killers ; no joining guilds ; not required to be part of a team). the online is stable enough for me to play. i don't have to deal with voice chat constantly screaming at me for being bad or being "unfair". the game has crossplay and cross progression.
there are current generation games from big name studios that can't get these simple features right.
gta online still doesn't have crossplay and every generation the accounts get reset.
battle royale games and e-sports titles force you to be part of a team.
voice chat when it works is just children screaming or junkies blasting music in a trailer park.
content for some games like bf2042, halo infinite, and for honor takes half a year to even release anything.
eso and fallout 76 basically requires paid subscription (dare someone to play it for a month on base game edition without giving into the subscription model) doesn't have crossplay or cross progression.
fighting games get released all at the same time and the fgc picks 1 and forgets the rest so the online is pretty much dead for the others.
story games like atomic heart are rehashes of 20-30 year old ideas and just as buggy.
elden ring gets boring after a while.
db kakarot is removing the multiplayer card game feature and i've basically been destroying the story at breakneck speed. i'd prefer it last longer considering i threw $100 on the fire for all the dlc.
and... racing games and sports games are boring.
🤷🏻♂️
for a team that has been working on the same game for 8 or so years... it'd be one thing if the game was an offline story game and they never fired anyone or people never got hired in, but considering the last 4 years and the fact that it's a multiplayer only game with a smallish company that has had to rapidly expand shrink and expand again...
"i think [they've] done pretty good so far"

All I see anymore is people posting about requests for basekit perks. What? 16 perks isnt enough?

Just had a ghostface on the Game map. He creeped up on me stalking me and I saw him clear as day from behind the gen I was on. He was in full view with no pallets or obstructions blocking him. I stood up from behind the gen and came out and stared right at him for nearly 5 seconds and it wouldn’t reveal him. He then marked me and downed me.
After I got off hook he came right back to me and did the same thing. I stared right at him with him in my full view and no reveal again. But he was able to mark me again.
I don’t want to jump right to assuming he’s cheating so what else would account for this? And no I don’t have video because I don’t record my matches.
I haven’t played against a ghostface in a long time. I mostly only play as him. So… does it show you when you’re marked? Because if you’re marked it wont reveal.

I love playing Twins. I love the challenge (knowing they are not a top tier killer) as much as their art and running around sniping as Victor.
But what I hate is, obviously, the distance Charlotte has to walk to get to the downed survivor. I use Charlotte to hit first because Victor’s aura is still bugged when he’s attached to a survivor (you can’t see him).
I know you could say “park Charlotte in middle of map” or whatever else, but situations or play styles don’t always work out to do that. Again, especially when using Charlotte to hit first.
I sometimes equip SC:PR but against 4 good survivors that know to hold W against the twins, gen regression doesn’t help much.
I’m not looking to win every match but I dunno.. maybe there are perks I’m overlooking that are good for them?
I use Iron Grasp most always, Sloppy Butcher to help Victor see blood trails easier, and then Franklin’s/Lightborn and a 4th flex perk.
Reply to title - Yes.

Something that the new prestige system is definitely lacking in is special rewards. Since, the only rewards you have is P1-3 is for teachables, P4-6 is the bloody cosmetics and P7-9 the perk charms. Afterwards it completely stops and its purely a number to show your love.
now, i know it’s been talked about with more prestige rewards. But keep in mind the reward does need to be reasonable. BHVR isn’t going to create very rare level cosmetics for every character which only a small amount of people will own and they get zero profit from, Or even some weird suggestions i’ve seen like a unique mori every 20 prestiges (do you know how much animating that is???).
if we were to have rewards, they would need to work around licensing (so it would be equal for everyone), also it would need to be something simple. The perk charms work because all they need is a base model and the icons they can just easily paste on.
My idea is to give special borders for that character’s teachables as a little touch to show off your prestige for a character even when not playing them when using their perks or maybe some special in-game HUD effects, but what are your ideas?
A survivor in your honor.

Possible. A console running an operating system that can’t allocate information for a character would likely replace it with a star.

If any dev has an update on this I’d love to hear it!
Yes. We need more info so someone in the community can make a compilation of all of the new noises. Then someone else can remix it into a pop song that becomes a meme.

This game is becoming such a nightmare for solo queue survivors. And yes, I appreciate and thank you for the recent solo queue HUD buff but there's more work to be done.
I know that tunneling/camping is a hot debate among the DBD community but it's so bad that I refuse to let my nephew buy with my money any customization or cosmetics from the game store. He’s been watching me play for about 6 months and has recently asked me to buy the game for him so we can play together.
So, I did, but he wanted me to buy auric cells so he can get cosmetics and some of the survivors/killers without having to grind hours of gameplay since he can’t play a lot. He has been very excited about the game and we enjoy playing together. While I allow him to play the game, I refuse to support this game any further with money until tunneling/camping gets addressed by BHVR in some sort of way while balancing the game for both survivors and killers.
There’s no reason why a survivor should get tunneled/camped out of the game within 5 minutes of the start of the match especially coming out with less than 5k bloodpoints while killers get rewarded for that style of play.
Anyway, I told my nephew he’ll have to grind hours of gameplay or have his mother buy it for him (which she won’t) because I definitely will not.
I have personally spent a good decent amount of money on this game and stopped recently.
I’m not saying this to buff survivors, I think survivors are fine the way they are (although most of our perks need some rework). I’m asking that tunneling/camping be changed somehow. Something has to change; I wish I had the solution but you guys have the resources to figure that out! So, please do so I can buy cute outfits for my survivors because for now, I’m not spending any money on this game anymore.
Thank you & see you in the fog probably getting tunneled/camped out of the game! So fun!
PS - This post is not directed to killers who don't tunnel/camp. I have played against a decent amount of killers who are better than me and don't have to tunnel or camp. I respect that very much and those killers make the game fun because you learn a lot from those types of matches where you have to get better at the game. You can't get better at a game while being tunneled or camped especially in solo queue matches. NOT HAPPENING!
The solution: increase the length of time a match lasts.
the method: increase the amount of time required to activate a generator. Increase the amount of time a player takes to die on a hook per stage. Add a perk that allows a solo player continue doing escape attempts during hook stage 2. Cap the amount of generator progression earned from perks, items, and skillchecks.
your complaint is about the amount of time it takes for a survivor to die. If survivors are dying too fast then the game is moving too fast and/or survivors are not rescuing each other.
by slowing down the game there will be more time to spend during a trial exploring and performing actions. By adding a perk that allows oneself more attempts to unhook oneself - similar to slippery meat, but for hook stage 2 - players that would find themselves as isolated from the group and would rather give up than continue playing can now opt into the new playstyle of attempting to unhook themselves rather than just giving up because no one is coming.
these solutions would allow you to experience the game for longer without destroying the strategy of targeting key players: tunneling, face camping, slug baiting.

I personally don't think you need to hardcore, get a survivor out at hook 3 ,tunnel to win. I believe that it can backfire massively if the survivors know what they are doing.
That said DbD being an elimination game where survivors on dead hook are equally as effective as freshook survivors on gens it is no question that getting someone out asap is a smart move
Going for 9 hooks before someone is sacrificed is throwing. If you pull that off then you just outclassed the survivors massively.
So on avarage, what hookstage do you people think would be a fair time for a survivor to be eliminated.
Personally i think by hook 5 is a fair but still strong time to get someone out.
Really curious about this cause i feel opinions are going to be pretty divided
I think getting 2 chances is enough. The game needs more solo player unhooking builds though. That way players that fear getting face camped can counter it or shut up their whining.
gens need to be slower to complete and hooks need to take more time to sacrifice. The game finishes in 2.7 minutes now.
the game should last 5-10 minutes. Otherwise you’re just grinding to grind.

I think it's likely they'll make a basekit feature tha'll prevent that at some point in the future. Someone above said basekit UB but I'm not sure if that's a thing, I'm a bit out of the loop these days.
Unlike a smart proxy camp or a necessary tunnel for whatever reason, slugging for THAT long is NEVER something that should happen in a match. When it happens it's just pure toxicity from the killer, unless you're too far from any hooks, that's literally the only scenario I can think of where a killer wouldn't be interested in picking you up.
Also if I'm not mistaken you bleed out faster while crawling, so keep moving if you're slugged.
I slug a player when it’s 2 left and go around looking for the last player.
Sometimes i use the downed survivor as bait so i can kill all 4 with an exposed ability - meyers, ghostface, etc.
sometimes as pig ill down a player, put the trap on and leave them there so it makes it less likely they’ll remove the trap in time without dealing with hooks.
sometimes i do it to force early game unbreakable procs.
sometimes if a survivor is being a big baby and refusing to play they game they queued up for, but also refusing to disconnect and suffer the disconnection penalty then i slug and leave them to bleed or carry them around if I’m running a specific build. I can tell if you’re not wiggling survivors. And if you dont wiggle i will make you regret it.
hillbilly is another insta down character that i slug with.
if survivors start swarming me with flashlights, body blocking, toolkits and such and I don’t have iron grasp, agitation, and mad grit i will drop a survivor and stand there till the crowd disperses. If I know you will be able to break out of my grasp the moment i pick you up… i wait and down you when you stand up.

The issue is that this has been persistent for a really long time. I have already removed all association between my social media accounts and my Steam account but Im suck in a situation where the people harassing me already know it to begin with.
Another issue I would like to bring up is that some of these individuals are apart of groups that go out of their way to slander me outside of social media. As Ive said before, I have been DDOSed, but also DOXed, leading to my personal information along with slander being published on "free speech" forums in which I can only remove the slanderous claims by paying arbitration fees (which I cannot do it, nor will I do it). This however has stopped a few weeks ago, at least from what I can see.
They also found out that I am friends with smaller DBD streamers, and some of them have been using alternative accounts to use hacked clients to even stream snipe and harass me and my friends whenever we play DBD, which has lead to a situation where people have stop associating with me because they do not want to be harassed like I am. (Which thankfully BHVR has been taking action to deal with hacking since this has gone down a lot since.)
This entire issue just stems from pissing off the wrong individuals who have too much free time on their hands. It's a weird situation overall since I do not know many individuals who have had to deal with this, and I do know some of the pieces of information but not enough to exactly pinpoint who are the figures behind this.
My only idea as for "what do I do now?" has been to rebrand and change everything to move on from the situation. At the same time, I have spent countless hours building up to where I am now, which is why I am so unsure on what to do.
Well. First you can get a vpn. Which should prevent you from being ddossed. You’ll suffer some latency issues, but really… it should be minor if you’re not already dealing with it. The only way a person can ddos you is if they have access to your home network at the exact moment needed to throttle you. Because you can change your IP address. The only things you cant change are your MAC addresses. If you lock it behind a passcode, change the IP, and run a vpn getting ddossed shouldnt happen anymore. And if it does… well then you’ve got a data leak somewhere. Either during your stream or in your network.
secondly you can change your information. Idk how steam does it, but your gamertag on xbox can be changed. Contacting the support services and explaining the issue might allow you to change it for free. As for psn and behavior’s own username system… idk. But if you change your gamer name and change your account names and never give them out and then turn on streamer mode your name will not show up. It will just say “meg” or “nea” or “ace” or “hillbilly” or whatever. So your stream viewers wont be able to tell for sure what your username is. Then you add a 30 second to a minute delay. And that should keep people from being able to queue dodge into your lobby.
being a streamer is going to cause you to be doxed more likely than if you are just some random. Because you’re a mini celebrity if you have a decent following. That’s why you can’t be naive. You gotta start off protecting yourself and your online community.
and if you’re a controversial person or someone who speaks your mind or has uncommon beliefs and values… well that just paints a bigger target on your back the moment you bring that up in chat. Because twitch is accessed by almost the entire world.
one of the v-tubers i like was recently death threatened because there’s a cult of people that think anime and v-tubing is unnatural and should be condemned. So it’s really unfortunate. Especially with the fact that human trafficking, kidnaping, and “legal” enslavement being a real thing in several countries. Nothing unusual about her other than being a young cisgendered woman that v-tubes.
so… i mean… if a person is trans for example (and usually it’s more obvious than not) there’s basically an entire continent’s worth of people that will have that person executed. Don’t ask me why.
anyway - point is… if you’re one of the at risk communities then you need to take extra steps to protect yourself when you’re streaming. Because you’re putting yourself out there.

This has nothing to do with the onslaught of meta perks or "toxic" (not really toxic) builds or whatever the hell people on the forums complain about. This ENTIRELY has to do with the fact that the people Im being matchmaked with are very unpleasant individuals.
And I normally try to be insanely positive and even give the benefit-of-the-doubt but it has reached the point to where I have to actively speak out about this.
People who say awful things in post-game chat and commit literal crimes (DDOSing and DOXing) over petty things in the video game.
I know some people will say "just turn off your account comments on Steam and avoid post-game chat" but this extends beyond just the post-game chat. Ive had people go out of their way to find my social media pages to harass me there as well, or use alternative accounts to see when Im on DBD (on Steam) and DDOS me as soon as they notice I am playing. Literal cyber-stalking.
The worst part is, is that they use alternate accounts with this stuff, I cant even tell who it is that is doing this specifically, and reporting does nothing because they return with another account in a few days. It's gotten to the point to where I am considering on quitting the game entirely if it means I do not have the deal with this anymore.
It's gotten to the point to where I have no idea what to do.
🤷🏻♂️ remove your social media association?
kinda an obvious solution. maybe i'm just big brained her.
not that you should have to suffer or anything. it's not your fault the world is full of scumbags.
but if you know that they exist - which you should if you're an adult who isn't completely sheltered from reality - then you should have at least realized that there are certain levels of safety you have to take to protect yourself.
there's a reason why people carry stun guns and pepper spray when walking home from work or taking a train or bus.

You can tell that Survivors in general bring way more items, stronger items then before with add-ons. This is probably because of how fast you can earn BP so you can have more items for the same price, etc.
I see so many medkits and good toolboxes very offten. This perk is the only counter to this. Sloppy or any other slowdown healing perk won't stop them from fast medkits or from boosting the repairing speed. I would put this perk to even A tier probably thanks to this meta.
It’s strong, but it’s a bubba exclusive. So I don’t have it. I have to make due without it.

Iron Will is not supposed to make survivors completely silent.
I agree with this decision. 👍🏻 good game design.
but please do not make them all EXACTLY the same if you can help it. Little nuances make the sound design feel more enjoyable.
example: crying, gasping, shuddering, wheezing, hacking, moaning, almost words, etc.
i know that makes the job harder, but if the sound designer devs can and are willing to make that happen it’d be very much appreciated by me. Even if others dont care. I care. Sound design is largely underrated.

I can do good in one match as a survivor and then somehow matchmaking does this complete 180 and just says hmm nah your not good in this match and then boom a bunch of new players against a high skill killer or just a bunch of survivors who target me for some reason.
Do you ever get builders and beach goers?

The match can be going fine but for some reason I end up on hook my team just teabags me or does that false rescue or just points out where I'm hiding aka just targeting me seriously what did I do wrong because as a Solo que i can't read your SWF mind and know oh I have to rescue when clearly you can rescue. Seriously why are survivors targeting people for no reason.
It’s the outsider mentality. When you play with a group of players that are all friends or at least in a chat together they direct all of their frustrations onto the outsider because they can’t direct it towards one another. That could ruin their group if they did.
but if it’s a random then they can go full monkey brain and bully you because numbers matter. And if one person starts it the rest will probably join in due to associative behavior and socialistic tendencies. They don’t want to end up being the one getting bullied so they feel they have to copy the crowd behavior. Monkey see monkey do.

Hello there,
I've been having a lot of issues playing this game where it seems like, whatever I do, Survivors just won't go down. They bring like triple toolboxes every games and a flashlight and it seems like even with slowdown perks, they get gens done instantly.
While I get that applying gen pressure is important, I sure do my best to do that, between the obvious "UwU plz Chase" me person with the flashlight and sprint burst... I assume with dead hard most cases as well...
I ignore those individuals for as long as possible to chase those with toolbox and keep them off defendable gens just fine.
Often I manage to get their weakest link off the game and also have a few hooks here and there but this scenarios always happen without fail:
They open gate, no matter if I hook one or two of them, they show up with Borrowed time, purposely take the hit (I thought this was a perk meant to counter tunneling, not make survivors desire it)
and they all get out.
what is the play here???
kick gens, slug, and hook in basement.
the answer to this post is varied based on the overall build youre trying to run on whatever killer, but it really just depends. Give me a loadout and I’ll try to give you a strategy for dealing with it.

I am a killer main, but I play survivor sometimes. I only have 50 hours on the game and own 2 DLC's - the leatherface and the doctor.
I want to buy 2-3 DLC's with a fun, maybe unique killer. Which one's would you recommend?
Meyers, nemesis, and sadako. All three are worth buying.
edit
do not waste money on free to earn killers until you have bought the pay to play killers.
it’s not that they’re better or worse. It’s just that financially speaking if you don’t have content paid content is always the better choice for dbd.
because paid content might be time exclusive. For example: stranger things.

"But you’re wrong to say that wesker power+recovery animation+vault animation is shorter than base vaulting with bloodlust"
Never said this, I said base vaulting is lowest than power vaulting. Straw man fallacy. Fallacy right off the bat scares me but I can only skim because I'm not reading all of that essay.
But anyways why your comparing the best killer in the game to Wesker is random and has nothing to do with anything.
Yes the use of your ability is the only way to apply infection, that's how the game works? And yes, throwing them gives them infection either forcing them to find a FAS and take time becoming uninfected or become fully infected and be hindered. Also when you throw you have a faster recovery making you easily be able to catch up. How's that giving them a free health state? Also the comparison to plague doesn't make sense since after they become fully infected she becomes a basic m1 killer if they don't cleanse. Wesker has the luxury have having a movement ability to traverse and catch survivors easily.
Also yes you can use power to get around corner then use his second dash to catch survivors, that's the part of the utility of his power, which crank helps with. Based on you not knowing this makes me think your weaker games have gone like GARBAGE and I can see how.
Pill bottle is mediocre at best, his "stealth" game is play is essentially a worse version of Sadako's making this add on very eh.
Jump rope and chains are both ok-ish. mediocre
Nancy's master piece is also very ok-ish, mediocre again considering you lose more and more of your teleportation ability as the game goes on anyways making it terrible.
Blue dress is one of the worst if not the worst rare add-on in the game at the moment. Unless your MMR is rock bottom, survivors aren't missing skill checks at all, maybe once or twice a game at best at high MMR. Terrible add on. Same with all green dress and wool shirt except their some how even more terrible.
Like you said, the rest of his add-ons are terrible.
This leaves a grand total of 3 to 4 add ons which are good at best, the rest Medoicre at best all the way to useless.
No, dream world isn't free uroboros. They aren't even comparable in the first place. How is it free Uroboros? That doesn't make sense. If your trying to refer to Dream snares (Which are terrible), Uroboros does CIRCLES around that. But again it isn't comparable. Don't know what your saying.
Alarm clocks are unlimited and faster than FAS.
Freddy's add-ons are definitely worse.
dream world: has an add-on that starts you in it, has a mechanic based on a preplaced interaction to escape, adds cooldown reduction to traversal power per affected individual, passive progression, can be applied by performing an attack, gets harder to remove as game progresses, has a slowdown trap ability that can be swapped with an illusion trap through addons, various status states through add-ons.
infection: can be applied by powered attack, has an add-on the starts you in it, traversal option becomes stronger, has a slowdown mechanic, various states through addons.
they’re very similar.
both apply on attacks, both have reversal shrines, both empower the primary ability, both have traversal options. The difference is one is objective based and the other is chase oriented.
and zero of the addons wesker has make up for his inability to apply pressure to objectives. While freddy’s kit has decent chase potential since the game has to balance out for very basic m1 killers to begin with.
we can disagree on this topic, but the true power of freddy is his objective gameplay. And i think it’s obvious by the last 3-4 weeks with the changes to the meta that the majority of the community doesnt ptfo.

I've seen some crazy posts here but woah is this not right what-so-ever. Firstly vaulting has literally nothing to do with loose crank anyways but manually vaulting is NOT faster than vaulting with your power. Misinformation. Secondly You can close gaps at long loops an catch survivors and apply infection, saying its useless at loops is crazy! Misinformation again. Thirdly he has one of the best "Infection" and most consistent infection abilities out of all killers. Having hindered in chase is great. Misinformation AGAIN. My goodness!
I was half asleep so I pulled an old man ramble.
the point i was trying to make is here.
But you’re wrong to say that wesker power+recovery animation+vault animation is shorter than base vaulting with bloodlust. The only time it’s faster is if you can guarantee a straight path. Which means you’re closing a gap. Which isn’t the same as using the power to dash - walk faster - dash vault. which is the only reason i could think of where a player would need in between movement speed.
because unlike nurse you can’t attack between dashes. You either have to dash twice or you have to deal with the mini fatigue animation where he recalls uroboros. If you’re using the power correctly the first dash should be the only one you need unless you’re literally just running down a straight tunnel. High level survivors don’t run in a straight path typically and the chance that they wont fast vault a nearby window or pallet when they see you start dashing means that the addon is useless since it’s about the in-between timer. You shouldnt even reach this point in the ability because if you land your first dash the whole animation resets. Because if you miss you’ve essentially reset the chase and given up on bloodlust. The dash 2 part takes 4 seconds to set up and another 3 seconds to recover to full movement speed at rough estimate. That’s basically 1/3rd the time it takes to get .2 movement on bloodlust to travel what? 10 meters or something in a straight path? And we’re not even talking about the whole… what if you walk or delay your second dash etc.
on top of all that - if you run his base perks the ability power for fast vaults doesn’t benefit from superior anatomy. So the only reason left to dash twice is to catch up and then dash around corners by making 45, 60, and 90 degree turns during the in-between. Anything less and you could have just walked the same distance faster since the survivor would still be in front of you.
hindered only applies to fully infected survivors. Meaning either you need to bring an add-on like iri vial or red herb or something because getting to even infect a player is all about your ability to land your power or addons. If you land your power then the survivor should be injured. If you land it but throw the survivor and all you get is the infection then you basically gave the survivor a free health state. That’s non optimal by a far margin. and use of your ability is the only way to apply infection
it’s not like purge where you just vomit on things and leave and then surprise! The survivor is broken. You have to directly hit the survivor. Meaning you’re in a chase already. Meaning you’re walking at 4.6 meters. Your terror radius is 40m. The dash lets you set up a chase or finish a chase. Not curve corners. That’s a meme build for noobs.
Both red paintbrush and black box are better than that
class photo if comboe’d with paintbrush and lethal pursuer and corrupt intervention basically ensures early game dominance
or go the safe route with bitter murmur and discordance or dragon’s grip.
freddy’s pill bottle makes it so survivors wont see you teleport from a distance and lets you bait teleport. Which helps with his stealth gameplay.
swing chains is a sound based addon that amplifies footsteps and makes it easier to tell when someone is nearby just like stridor, but it’s an addon. Jump rope is free stridor for dream world survivors.
blue dress is a great add-on. It combos well with paintbrush and merciless storm or other skillcheck based perks. Same with green dress and wool shirt
nancy’s masterpiece = normally 15% cooldown for survivor increases to 18% for a maximum 72% cooldown. Combo with paint brush or class photo for varying strats based on gen kicking and teleportation.
paint thinner is useless against swf’s who know what pallets are used. same with prototype claws and garden rake.
Unicorn block only works if you force a survivor through the pallet or snare. Same with cat block. Same with Z block. Same with sheep block.
All of these addons except the blocks and pallets are good. You players must just not know how to teleport or keep trying to run kid’s drawing for memes.
hell. Freddy’s dreamworld is basically free ouroboros. Survivors use alarm clocks instead of vaccines.
wesker’s addons are definitely worse.

Loose crank is follow up time movement speed. You don’t need it. Vaulting was meantioned because a lot of new weskers fall bait to the survivors fake vault and spam the ability. If you need time between dashes to do something like turn or fix an error or double back then you’re not using the power effectively.
that’s point i was trying to make. Sorry i wrote the post when i was half asleeep. Still sleepy. But coming out of the other side of a nap.

I've been thinking how we could make the SoloQ experience better with info, and i have some suggetions:
- Make possible to see other people perks in the "Esc" screen, with the active perks highlighted (as it can be seen in the active hud individually), so we know when someone have Unbrekable, Soul Guard, Deliverance (this one is the most important), and etc. This could really save some time, like, just letting the hooked use Deliverance instead of crossing the whole map to save.
- Add self ping and target ping to survs. This way we could ping where we are doing gens, cleasing hexes, etc. A target ping would be nice to coordinate saves while some stay doing gens/healing
- Add a quick chat options, with some phrases like "Go", "Don't Come" "Come here" "Let me heal you" "I can do it myself" etc, so we would be better to coordinate.
I know some people are mad because of SoloQ being buffed, but i think that making SoloQ better is just a way to game more healthier overall, as 50%+ of the playerbase is composed by SoloQ players, and its unfair to leave SWF so much strong than soloQ (and its impossible to nerf SWF)
After this, i believe we could have some buffs to the weaker killers powers, and have a better game overall.
Any more info buff suggestions for SoloQ ?
I don’t agree with most of these.
quick text would likely end up pc exclusive just like end game chat.
seeing other players perks might be okay at first, but would rather then just make it so you can look at your own per descriptions mid match.
Pinging would ruin the feeling of the game. Not to mention it would be abused to grief and/or ignored because it is just constant or never informative.

I don't think that's what he meant at all. haha
When opening the bloodweb from either side, you should be able to select who you want to spend them on without needing to swap characters. It should just bring up a menu something like the image below (not my screenshot). You click who you want to spend bp on and profit, all while still having your current survivor selected and not needing to change characters just to spend bloodpoints. It's such an inconvenience to need to be on the selected character to spend the bloodpoints.
I shouldn’t post when I’m half asleep…
i just realized i put a random ending on that.

Not sure why you are mentioning vaulting so much when loose crank has nothing to do with that. It increases his movement speed between his first and second dash. Which when turning tight corners in loops is extremely helpful.

You cant spend blood points on killers while queued up as a survivor and vice versa, which is inconvenient and would be nice if that was addressed as a QOL adjustment.
oh. So you want the “select character” button to be a thing. So like instead of choosing “killer” or “survivor” you press thr “online” button. It brings you to a pre-queue lobby. You select the character button and it shows all survivors. You press the “lock in” button on meg. Then you press the “start queue” button. Then you realize you have 200k blood points and want to spend them on your newest killer. So you press the role toggle button. Now you’ll be able to select dredge and claim bictory

Has there been anything ever said about this?
So I come back from taking a break for a couple weeks, got really into a new game, and I jump on to play some matches with friends so obviously on the survivor side, and I get my monthly bonus BP which puts me over the cap.
Currently I am in a position where all my bloodpoints need to go to the killer side, which leaves me stuck, either I dont play so I can spend BP, or I just don't earn for my games.
This is one of the last hurdles of things to be able to do while waiting queued up for matches and I really hope this gets added, since its now possible to be locked into your killer and do bloodwebs on other killers, this really should be possible to do even while queued up as survivor.
uhh… you could just… spend the blood points on the killers? It’s universally banked. 2 million bp is shared between killer and survivor. Not sure what you mean, but all blood points can be spent on either.

Bruh Loose Crank is wayyy better than anything Freddy has, and that's an uncommon ☠️
If you’re running loose crank you’re throwing.
any time you use the bound move you’re basically guaranteeing to get looped. Manually vaulting is faster because you don’t get the animation stun. Charging the move causes you to lose bloodlust.
the only time his move is worth using is against two survivors running down a linear path or to smash a survivor into a wall to apply the useless infection ability. Using it to chase is ill advised. But as a gap closer - it’s semi okay. If you’re in a chase a smart survivor is heading for their nearest safe pallet or jungle gym. If you vault anything with your dash it basically means they got away. In an open area like redwoods or the big empty center of macmillan meat factor, autowreckers or even haddonfield and it’s basically resetting the entire chase progression youve made for some infection.
only addons worth using are gold chalice and lion medallion. In my opinion.

A luck based perk, then. So you try to unhook yourself in first stage and then have another chance in second stage? Even the 4% chance in the first stage is dumb. You don't need to do anything for it. You can just try and either get lucky or not. Making that a perk for second stage is completely unnecessary. That's what your teammates are for.
It's a gamble that shouldn't exist in the first place. Designing a perk that might or might not do anything, simply depending on luck, is not a good design. Worse yet, combine this with Slippery Meat and luck offerings and you pretty much guarantee that you will be able to unhook yourself twice, which is dumb again. Hooking is supposed to force someone off a gen to come for you. If you can do that yourself, the killer only wastes time by hooking you.
Yeah. A luck based perk.
but at the end of the day - that’s pretty much just your opinion on how the game should work though right?
personally - luck has always annoyed me too, but it shows up in a lot of games. Crits in league of legends. Drone spawn location in R6 Siege. Map and mode in Overwatch. Loot drops in fortnite. True string 50/50’s in fighters. Starting zone in Halo. Gears of war gibs. Racing AI. Dice rolls in blood bowl. Destiny loot drops. The list is endless of games that are semi competitive to full on e-sport that have features which are random chance.
but with dead by daylight the luck aspect feels like it’s meant to be in the game as a way to explain the lore of the entity. And no matter how much players try to make it so it will never be anything more than a casual game to the majority of the player base. And streamer bait to the professionals.
ace wouldnt feel like a gambler without hook escapes.

Hes not really what i mean I do think Demogorgan was as close as we got to one though. Id even settle for a Mars Attacks martian lol. The doc i feel like was more a psychological minded killer and not so much in the scifi area I just want something like Alien, The Fly, and Cloverfield. I know im probably one of the few fans of this mixed up genre in movies but man id play the heck out of the killer in this type of setting.
trapper and huntress are the giant woodsman
nurse is the healthcare worker
hillbilly and twins are birth defects/mutants
wraith, hag, oni, and spirit are curses
doctor is the mad scientist
legion and plague are two types of cults
knight is a... idk. i haven't read his lore.
trickster is the lady killer
clown is a sadist.
and...
pig, freddy, meyers, sadako, bubba, nemesis, wesker, pinhead, ghostface, etc. are cameos.
i probably forgot something.
but yeah.
nothing really sci-fi. the new killer is kinda, but not the way you want it to be.
she's a mercenary/bounty hunter.
