Yes, perhaps they should bring back the "finish 15 generators" challenge. That one was much more fun than interacting with the killer.

Seriously, man. I got it in one game, it isn't that hard. At worst it'll be like three or four games before you get it.

Utilize map offerings and if you really have to, partner up with someone else.

Not good advice at all, what if you don't have anyone to patner up with? Just because you got it in "one game" doesn't mean everyone else will, and I am sure people are on VERY different mmr than you.

Overwatch is one of the top ten selling games of all time with over 50 million copies sold. The best data I could find on DbD is they had around 20 million copies.

On price, console data is hard to find, but on PC Overwatch sold at $40 for about 2 and a half years, before dropping to $20, with occasional drop from then on to $15. DbD opened at $20 and has dropped all the way down to free at points.

On the DLC, I suspect of all the people who purchased the game the majority did not purchase DLC either because they weren't interested or stopped playing the game. People who have put thousands of hours into the game might not be a rarity on the forum, but they aren't really representative of everyone.

I never understand why people go so hard for excess monetizations on games

I never understand that people don't get how companies work. They want/need to make money, they do this by selling a product people want. As a consumer, if you don't think a product is worth the cost, don't buy it.

Okay? Overwatch is A MASSIVE game developed by a MASSIVE company. DBD is roughly a medium sized game with a small to mediums sized company. Both games have/had adequate proportions in their respective games. It's not that hard to understand.

Also, DBD is currently offered on PSN and Xbox for 29.99 and steam 19.99. Very weird to not say that.

"On the DLC, I suspect....." On what grounds? On what proof? On what data? Huh? This is such a random and bad take

I never understand why people who think they know how companies work don't have a clue what they're talking about. They're selling a product with flaws in monetization, which a consumer is allowed to critique. If you can't handle that, don't come onto a forum where critique is taking place. Simple

Player count, base game price, and not having to share revenue with as many partners.

DBD has an average of 50K to 100K players daily.....the player count is more than fine. The base game price ranges from around 30 to 40 USD....it's not a 5 dollar game. And with the constant stream of paid DLC? Please. And sure, some more revenue sharing, but if you really think they need skin money to pay them then I don't know what to tell you. I never understand why people go so hard for excess monetizations on games

But please don't make this game a budget fortnite. Y'all are better than this.

What would be your preference for how they make money?

You do know when you buy the game, they receive that money. This isn't free to play, how do you think Overwatch thrived for years having free skins?

    POV: Continue to double-down.

Several people have pointed out where you misread. At this point, you're just insulting me since you have no actual argument, lol. Like I said, it's been fun but I'm not really interested in meaningless debate

"Several" two people and the one had some.....issues to say the least. Also I had my argument, you conceded to it, it was over. But you keep replying to me because your mad lol. I know I said I disagreed to your new argument as well but as I've stated I don't have the energy or care enough to keep going. You can easily stop replying like you should have 3 comments ago. Very impressive. Can't say it hasn't been interesting, but I think I'd rather stop arguing with someone who is acting in bad faith.

I didn't misread anything. I restated what you said then asked you to stop using straw mans and then you conceded. Why you replied AGAIN is questionable. It could be because spend a VERY unhealthy amount of time on this forum daily and wanted to see your post number go up by one, which good for you I guess but there was no other reason for another reply except to be confrontational. Also, I don't think you know what bad faith means. Don't use words you don't know the meaning of.

    ok bro

first of all @Pulsar did NOT say "if u pick trapper u deserve to lose" he originally said

"Uh....yeah, if you play a weak Killer into their worst-case scenario and refuse to use optimal tactics, you should lose. You are choosing to play Trapper. You are choosing not to tunnel. You are choosing not to camp."

Key word is SHOULD. The word "deserve" was only brought up when someone asked him "so they deserve to lose if they pick trapper" and his response was "If you take a weak Killer, use off-meta perks, refuse to use optimal strategies and you put that Killer against an optimal 4-man? Yes, you deserve to lose that game."

So it was brought up. Not sure if you missed it or what but yeah.

By the way pointing out the epic socrates fallacies doesn't make your point any more valid nor does it make you sound smart, just saying. I know that's probably an ad homer simpson but frankly I do not care.

Why are you raging at me? Was what I said really that offensive? it's odd the things people on here get so mad at. Yes I pointed out logically fallacies. You getting angry at that is not normal. I'd suggest taking a break off here or reaching out to someone around you.

    @Pulsar said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3357050#Comment_3357050

If you refuse to play optimally (by bringing meta perks, tunneling, camping, 3-genning etc) after knowingly handicapping yourself by picking a weak Killer (assuming you play against a squad of equal skill to your own who ARE playing optimally), you should expect to lose.

Holding any other position is frankly, ridiculous

Alright so you concede that choosing a killer by itself is not enough to warrant deserving to lose. That's all. I do disagree with your new position but I don't have the time nor energy nor sheer will power it would take to go on because I'd probably have a stroke.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3357023#Comment_3357023

Now, correct me if I'm wrong but using perks is generally considered part of optimal gameplay, right?

But by all means, continue to show everyone how wrong I am, lol.

What is it with the straw mans? I didn't mention perks at any point? I said nothing about running or not running perks...? Point out where I mentioned anything about perks. But anyways since you wanted to deflect what I said, I'm gonna say this again and will ad nauseam as needed. Choosing to play a killer doesn't mean you deserve to lose. It's an absurd and ludicrous position to have. But by all means, continue to show everyone how wrong I am, lol. But do it without using a straw man please, if your gonna use one, please no more replies

  • @AmpersandUnderscore said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3356532#Comment_3356532

Because by 'not addressing perks and strategies' you're putting yourself in a ridiculous position.

You're saying that the weakest killer, with no perks, should be able to brainlessly follow a survivor with no mind games and obtain kills at the same rate as everyone else (61% average). They don't even have to use their power, since that's a 'strategy'.

You see how luducrous that sounds, right?

I don't know why you replied to this but I quite literally didn't say any of that. That's textbook straw man fallacy.

    @Pulsar said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3356994#Comment_3356994

If they did, we likely wouldn't be having this conversation.

I didn't think my original position was too crazy. If you play a weak Killer without perks into a strong team, you can expect to lose.

"Without perks" who said anything about perks? You said simply if you chose to play a certain killer, you deserve to lose. That was your position. Unless your conceding now, that's an absurd and beyond terrible position. Nothing more, nothing less. Leave it at that.

I was half asleep so I pulled an old man ramble.

the point i was trying to make is here.

But you’re wrong to say that wesker power+recovery animation+vault animation is shorter than base vaulting with bloodlust. The only time it’s faster is if you can guarantee a straight path. Which means you’re closing a gap. Which isn’t the same as using the power to dash - walk faster - dash vault. which is the only reason i could think of where a player would need in between movement speed.

because unlike nurse you can’t attack between dashes. You either have to dash twice or you have to deal with the mini fatigue animation where he recalls uroboros. If you’re using the power correctly the first dash should be the only one you need unless you’re literally just running down a straight tunnel. High level survivors don’t run in a straight path typically and the chance that they wont fast vault a nearby window or pallet when they see you start dashing means that the addon is useless since it’s about the in-between timer. You shouldnt even reach this point in the ability because if you land your first dash the whole animation resets. Because if you miss you’ve essentially reset the chase and given up on bloodlust. The dash 2 part takes 4 seconds to set up and another 3 seconds to recover to full movement speed at rough estimate. That’s basically 1/3rd the time it takes to get .2 movement on bloodlust to travel what? 10 meters or something in a straight path? And we’re not even talking about the whole… what if you walk or delay your second dash etc.

on top of all that - if you run his base perks the ability power for fast vaults doesn’t benefit from superior anatomy. So the only reason left to dash twice is to catch up and then dash around corners by making 45, 60, and 90 degree turns during the in-between. Anything less and you could have just walked the same distance faster since the survivor would still be in front of you.

hindered only applies to fully infected survivors. Meaning either you need to bring an add-on like iri vial or red herb or something because getting to even infect a player is all about your ability to land your power or addons. If you land your power then the survivor should be injured. If you land it but throw the survivor and all you get is the infection then you basically gave the survivor a free health state. That’s non optimal by a far margin. and use of your ability is the only way to apply infection

it’s not like purge where you just vomit on things and leave and then surprise! The survivor is broken. You have to directly hit the survivor. Meaning you’re in a chase already. Meaning you’re walking at 4.6 meters. Your terror radius is 40m. The dash lets you set up a chase or finish a chase. Not curve corners. That’s a meme build for noobs.

Both red paintbrush and black box are better than that

class photo if comboe’d with paintbrush and lethal pursuer and corrupt intervention basically ensures early game dominance

or go the safe route with bitter murmur and discordance or dragon’s grip.

freddy’s pill bottle makes it so survivors wont see you teleport from a distance and lets you bait teleport. Which helps with his stealth gameplay.

swing chains is a sound based addon that amplifies footsteps and makes it easier to tell when someone is nearby just like stridor, but it’s an addon. Jump rope is free stridor for dream world survivors.

blue dress is a great add-on. It combos well with paintbrush and merciless storm or other skillcheck based perks. Same with green dress and wool shirt

nancy’s masterpiece = normally 15% cooldown for survivor increases to 18% for a maximum 72% cooldown. Combo with paint brush or class photo for varying strats based on gen kicking and teleportation.

paint thinner is useless against swf’s who know what pallets are used. same with prototype claws and garden rake.

Unicorn block only works if you force a survivor through the pallet or snare. Same with cat block. Same with Z block. Same with sheep block.

All of these addons except the blocks and pallets are good. You players must just not know how to teleport or keep trying to run kid’s drawing for memes.

hell. Freddy’s dreamworld is basically free ouroboros. Survivors use alarm clocks instead of vaccines.

    wesker’s addons are definitely worse.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3356851#Comment_3356851

"But you’re wrong to say that wesker power+recovery animation+vault animation is shorter than base vaulting with bloodlust"

Never said this, I said base vaulting is lowest than power vaulting. Straw man fallacy. Fallacy right off the bat scares me but I can only skim because I'm not reading all of that essay.

But anyways why your comparing the best killer in the game to Wesker is random and has nothing to do with anything.

Yes the use of your ability is the only way to apply infection, that's how the game works? And yes, throwing them gives them infection either forcing them to find a FAS and take time becoming uninfected or become fully infected and be hindered. Also when you throw you have a faster recovery making you easily be able to catch up. How's that giving them a free health state? Also the comparison to plague doesn't make sense since after they become fully infected she becomes a basic m1 killer if they don't cleanse. Wesker has the luxury have having a movement ability to traverse and catch survivors easily.

Also yes you can use power to get around corner then use his second dash to catch survivors, that's the part of the utility of his power, which crank helps with. Based on you not knowing this makes me think your weaker games have gone like GARBAGE and I can see how.

Pill bottle is mediocre at best, his "stealth" game is play is essentially a worse version of Sadako's making this add on very eh.

Jump rope and chains are both ok-ish. mediocre

Nancy's master piece is also very ok-ish, mediocre again considering you lose more and more of your teleportation ability as the game goes on anyways making it terrible.

Blue dress is one of the worst if not the worst rare add-on in the game at the moment. Unless your MMR is rock bottom, survivors aren't missing skill checks at all, maybe once or twice a game at best at high MMR. Terrible add on. Same with all green dress and wool shirt except their some how even more terrible.

Like you said, the rest of his add-ons are terrible.

This leaves a grand total of 3 to 4 add ons which are good at best, the rest Medoicre at best all the way to useless.

No, dream world isn't free uroboros. They aren't even comparable in the first place. How is it free Uroboros? That doesn't make sense. If your trying to refer to Dream snares (Which are terrible), Uroboros does CIRCLES around that. But again it isn't comparable. Don't know what your saying.

Alarm clocks are unlimited and faster than FAS.

    Freddy's add-ons are definitely worse.

  • @wydyadoit said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3356457#Comment_3356457

If you’re running loose crank you’re throwing.

any time you use the bound move you’re basically guaranteeing to get looped. Manually vaulting is faster because you don’t get the animation stun. Charging the move causes you to lose bloodlust.

the only time his move is worth using is against two survivors running down a linear path or to smash a survivor into a wall to apply the useless infection ability. Using it to chase is ill advised. But as a gap closer - it’s semi okay. If you’re in a chase a smart survivor is heading for their nearest safe pallet or jungle gym. If you vault anything with your dash it basically means they got away. In an open area like redwoods or the big empty center of macmillan meat factor, autowreckers or even haddonfield and it’s basically resetting the entire chase progression youve made for some infection.

only addons worth using are gold chalice and lion medallion. In my opinion.

I've seen some crazy posts here but woah is this not right what-so-ever. Firstly vaulting has literally nothing to do with loose crank anyways but manually vaulting is NOT faster than vaulting with your power. Misinformation. Secondly You can close gaps at long loops an catch survivors and apply infection, saying its useless at loops is crazy! Misinformation again. Thirdly he has one of the best "Infection" and most consistent infection abilities out of all killers. Having hindered in chase is great. Misinformation AGAIN. My goodness!

And you have repeatedly ignored me stating PERKS and STRATEGIES contribute heavily.

If you are going to play a weaker Killer, something you WILL have foreknowledge about, you will NEED to compensate for that if you are playing to win.

If you do not, you are not playing to win and therefore, you should lose against an equally skilled squad who IS playing to win.

    Saying otherwise is completely ludicrous.

Im not addressing the perks and strategies as I don't need to. I replied to your comment which separated all three into their own category. I have no obligation to address those, all I did was repeat what you said and called it absurd (which it is). Also, unless you're farming, what there reason would you play NOT to win? That's the entire goal of either side is TO win every time you load into a match no matter WHAT killer you are playing. And no, you do not NEED to compensate for ANYTHING in order to "deserve" to win. That's ridiculous. Saying not "compensating" for playing a game as intended by the developers equates to "not playing to win" is some next level, out of this world, mental gymnastics

  • @Pulsar said:

If you bring just No Mither and Object of Obsession into Solo Q and play against a Midwich offering Nurse, you deserve to lose. You are handicapping yourself and you know it. You never expected to win that game, because you weren't playing seriously.

It's the same scenario here. You are knowingly stopping yourself from using strategies or perks that would help you compete. You obviously aren't playing to win. Why the hell should you be able to Bea an optimal team who IS trying to win?

This response didn't properly address what I said. Choosing a killer isn't "handicapping" yourself. it's playing the game as the developers intended....saying otherwise is, like I said, completely absurd. You are free to play a killer without "deserving" to lose.

"It's bad playing a historically weak Killer who doesn't do well against SWF's into a 4-man SWF"

Uh....yeah, if you play a weak Killer into their worst-case scenario and refuse to use optimal tactics, you should lose. You are choosing to play Trapper. You are choosing not to tunnel. You are choosing not to camp.

This isn't a "Playing Killer at high MMR is terrible" this is, "I don't want to play optimally to win against other people who are also playing optimally."

So choosing to play one of the killers in the game means you deserve to lose now huh? I have no idea what mental gymnastics you have to do to come to that conclusion but wow is that absurd

You shouldn't have the ability to give survivors hatch, I think it's better to remove suicide capability than penalty though.

I dont see why not. Especially in a situation where its almost impossible to help the hooked survivor its a valid strat

  • @Tsulan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2853211#Comment_2853211

Why would that be a mess? Its obviously done on purpose.

It isn’t “obviously done on purpose”. Did you not read what I said? Trying to 4% to get off hook then missing the skill checks on ACCIDENT shouldn’t be a dc penalty. And there’s no way for the game to know if you accidentally or purposely did. Plus what about situations where there’s only one other person left and your on hook and you want to try to give them hatch? That should be a dc penalty as well….? It’s mind boggling how the people with 10K+ posts have some of the worst ideas

  • @Tsulan said:

There is no excuse for suicides on hook. It hurts the team and the game balance, because it gives out false stats.

Those should be treated like disconnects.

That is VERY problematic. If someone tries to 4%, fails each, then misses both skills checks on second phase…..then that should be a DC? That would be a mess.

I think better, it just should remove from game. 4% chance is not great, even luck offerings are not making it good. This is unhealthy and bad mechanic.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2852388#Comment_2852388

I don't remember when i faced with un-meta survivors last time. Yeah, they had meta perks.

Another problematic idea. Not as much, but the issue here deliverance would be rendered useless, along with luck offerings and perks. Even if YOU think since it doesn’t add as much it isn’t worth it, it could be a game changer if you succeed.

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

    Question on title.

    Yes i do btw.

On certain killers, yes. The killers in particular are ones without map mobility like Pig, Plague, ghost face, etc…. because new ruin barely benefits them. Especially in comparison to killers like Billy who can easily just push people off gens so it’s been one of the many unhealthy decisions made by bhvr. Granted it doesn’t matter anymore because we have things like pain resonance and the likes in the game now but at the time it sucked.

  • @GoshJosh said:

Is Bill the exception? I've seen posts on the forums calling Unbreakable 'uncounterable'. A lot of hate for Borrowed Time too. Left Behind isn't exactly fun either, a perk that promotes waiting for everyone else to die just to see the hatch aura.

He definitely is the exception. Forum posts aren’t accurate 80% of the time. Unbreakable by itself is counterable by not slugging. BT there has been some controversy but no where near what I’ve seen for others. And who in the hell is running left behind in their main build? Even if you are, that doesn’t necessarily mean your waiting for team mates to die. You are just benefitted from surviving the longest. Likewise with perks like sole survivor

To answer the first point you made here. The Designer in question was playing on his own stream, in his own time, not his work time and the person questioning him had been answered many times and was told to supply feedback on the forums. Badgering a designer on their own time, when they are not working is not acceptable and a pretty rude thing to do.

And the 2nd point there, that was also addressed in a post on Steam where Mathieu explained clearly about what he meant. He was not dismissing players concerns but making a valid point about when you get frustrated on something, it might also be time to take a break. (I got frustrated with Bloodborn and took a 4 month break before I was calm enough to play it again - Bloodborn is the game that makes me frustrated). It was not an attempt at being flippant.

We do listen to player feedback, however, listening and implementing things are two very different things. And game designers know more than we do with regards to what will work, what won't etc and which direction the game is going to take.

The LF masks have been something that's discussed for years, and the decision was taking to remove them to prevent them being used in a hateful manner. This is not about banning players who racially abuse others - as that is done also, it's about trying to remove the tools to make it easy for players to abuse others in this manner...I'm still surprised that people are opposed to this.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2739876#Comment_2739876

Yepp exactly, it had been in development for some time - it's not a quick thing to implement. It was tested heavily also before we were ready to announce it to the Community, we plan things months in advance and things can be worked on for quite some time before they appear in the game. So many departments are involved in each stage.

So because a dev isn't on work time that makes anything they do okay....? Pure mental gymnastics. Also BHVR apologized for this incident so I'm not sure what your talking about unless your saying BHVR backpedaled on that apology.

A killers power is classified as an "exploit" now?

  • @Sluzzy said:

A lot can. Maybe not as easily. But VERY, VERY close. Also, “nobody” is a STRONG generalization that I’m not comfortable with. Maybe you’re at different MMR than me but Mid to high mmr bubbas typically can go either face camp or no face camp with the latter being played more at least in my experience.

  • Every killer can face camp sir.

    @SilentShepherd said:

    1. Bubba's chainsaw able to facecamp, insta down AoE multiple targets, and has many charges, AND can turn directions
    2. The doctor's AOE reveal scream. This mechanic breaks the fundamental tenets of the game. The hide and seek aspect of a HORROR game is completely nullified with this broken, stupid mechanic. And it even penetrates upper or lower floor levels. It's completely stupid. The killer doesn't have to search for you, you remove the tension and fear of the killer looking for you.
    3. Nurse blinking through walls. Again, another stupid ability that completely breaks the core tenets of the game. This time, the CHASE aspect. The chase aspect of a horror game is the most tense, exciting parts of this game. And Nurse completely ruins it with this stupid mechanic that allows her to simply teleport through obstacles, pallets, and even walls. This is ANTI-FUN written all over it.
    4. Decisive Strike should be CORE on all Survivors. Being tunneled out of a game is one of the most frustrating, anti-fun things in this game.
    5. The game needs to stop being about kills/escapes. A kill should be worth a lot of points, and an escape too, yes, but the game needs to utilize all of those amazing stat tracking that we ALREADY have.... and combine everything into an overall GRADE and Title Score for each Survivor. So even if you die, you helped your team succeed and escape as a martyr hero... which is a core thing in all horror movies... the hero who takes on the killer so others can get away. People would not feel as bad for dying anymore.. when they get a good score and the title "Heroic Survivor" for achieving a lot of points to contribute to the match, even if they died.

I have a few more to add to the list.

    Thumbs down to this list!

Well is it not the truth? I mean I get that people are angry that content was removed but at this point people are really defending blackface just because they want in game content that doesn't mess with the game play nor do you see most of the match. I just can't see as to why people are defending it.

Issue is it’s not actually black face. Putting the skin of a black person on your face doesn’t make it “black face”. There’s no caricature that’s being portrayed.

  • @ThanosPAWG said:

Man the forums have changed alot since I first joined a year ago. It went from people making bait posts, having intellectual conversations, and talking about their favorite things about this game to people getting angry that blackface was removed. Not saying that it isn't completely Bhvr's fault but why are we defending blackface?

This post is a shining example of bad faith and virtue signaling

    @ElmosPayPig said:

I honestly can't believe bubbas transphobic face/mask is still in the game 😬

    Big yikes from bhvr.

This I also still don’t understand. How is a man wearing make up “transphobic”. If the devs were calling it “trans rep” then I’d understand the issue. But I haven’t seen them say that. If they did please point it out to me. But I digress, a man wearing make up isn’t transphobic and if that’s your stance you are boarding on conforming to gender roles among a bunch of other things.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

Unironically yeah I have trans friends that feel really uncomfortable with it, particularly when people then try to pretend it's trans rep.

??? What? They feel uncomfortable with a man dressing up as a woman? I can’t tell if your being ironic on purpose or….?

Just meh. Distortion buff made me laugh to be honest. The most interesting ones are Boil Over and Dead Man's Switch. Boil Over is niche although you can imagine it being used with Flip Flop + Unbreakable and dying in high places such as on the Iron Works of Misery stairs. So you could see scenarios where survivors get 75% wiggle very quickly.

Now someone did mention Boil Over being good if killers drop down the basement stairs. I can actually see the value in this, particularly since there is an increase in Bubba's recently which tend to use IG + Agi. Might come in clutch. Although I'm not aware of how much killers need to fall for the 25% wiggle to come into affect.

Edit: I kind of forgot that killers can tell when Boil Over is in use (pretty sure there is a Boil Over icon). So for the basement scenario, it'll never come in use against good killers because they won't drop down the stairs.

I would assume it’s possibly the same amount it takes to trigger balanced landing

Yes on dbd, yes these days.

    1. If you're above average mmr it's not hard.

    2. Also not hard, these are the people being targeted.

    3. Barely any delay.

    4. Stream-snipers have nothing better to do so it will happen eventually.

I see lots of streamers getting sniped all the time and then proven that they were sniping in the end game chat.

    1. You can’t see your MMR
    2. Which ones specifically? Everyone has different mmr. Are you trying to imply all POC have “above average mmr” and that all “POC stream snipers” have “above average mmr”….?
    3. Wdym any barely any delay? You do know streamers can put a longer delay on their stream manually……right?
    4. Appeal to Probability
  • On dbd? These days? You have to 1. Be around the persons mmr 2. Find a specific streamer before hand 3. Account for stream delay if 4. Queue and requeue until you find them which probably won’t happen because they’ll end up in a lobby not with the stream sniper. Way too many variables.

  • @OnryosTapeRentals said:

As has been pointed out a number of times.

No-one is accusing the character of LF of racism, but rather removing a tool that racist players are abusing to harass POC streamers.

Leatherface isn't being punished, nor are the masks an "important" feature - they're purely cosmetic. I'm sure the fictional character of The Cannibal won't care as much as you're making it out he will.

……..Not sure how this is even possible considering you load into a game with randomized people. You have no clue if you’ll get a streamer, let alone a POC streamer. Not even mentioning you can’t even change your killer whilst waiting in lobby anymore so even if these people found one they’d have to load in with Bubba already. A lotttttt of steps here.

  • The “It” killer concept on YouTube by Rarithlynx actually has add-ons that do this. Should check it out.

  • I’d rather not him make videos on anything. He has only made things worse for the community. Plenty of other healthier options to address issues.

  • Welcome to DBD friend. Grabs have been broken as long as the earth has existed. I can’t tell you how many times a grab has turned into an M1 or I get stuck in the grab animation for 5 minutes just for it to not work. Crazy stuff.

He needs to be buffed big time but he's not the weakest in the game. Myers is not as easy to bully as some other killers because he can insta down survivors. Instandowning is huge for EGC, if a Myers is camping someone at end game with tier 2 99% survivors can't just come in to do there BT body blocking escape strategy that they do with ease against other killers.

Clown, Pig, Legion, Trapper are worse IMO.

I second this, Myers late game has one of the best Snowballs in the game I would say. Early game though obviously doesn’t come close to a lot of killers.

  • Bringing an aura reading perk or two wouldn't hurt. This way you can keep track of team mates/killer location in place of SWF comms.

  • @Faulds said:

When i play solo q i barely have any fun, because my teammates get demolished and the killer plays as much hard as he can... when his opponents aren't even competition. What are your tips/ strategies to help your solo q teammates?

When i play serious, i bring BT (to help my team)... but even that doesn't seem enough to consistently have a chance at winning as a survivor.

Tbh bringing an Aura perk or two wouldnt hurt. This way you can keep track of team mates/killer locations in place of SWF comms.

Oh my. Of course, you NEVER were exhausted on the ground. This was on issue for years, but you NEVER had this...

And no, the Killer did not earn those Hits which get validated. Because otherwise they would not be validated. Before the validation, the Survivor just ended up exhausted on the ground. And you cannot say that the Killer earned that.

So you know all of this persons experience with the game? Why is it every time you speak on a thread it’s always the nastiest most sarcastic comments I've seen? The person you responded to wasn’t even being rude.

  • Maybe, Maybe, Maybe…..not less. But if not less it’s just as much. Difference being ones consistent one isn’t.

It's difficult to design maps that are balanced for both having and not having Balanced Landing when it's in that state. It limits what the devs can do with maps because they need to avoid creating infinites. And already every time a new map comes out people get upset about balance. Old BL would not help matters.

Really isn’t. The only issue was on Haddonfield which was and still is an awful map all around. Also I’m not sure what your talking about in regards to new maps and complaint about BL. I haven’t seen someone complain about BL since 2019 Pre-nerf. Also there’s only been two new maps this year.

  • @FFirebrandd said:

Didn't old Balanced Landing create infinites in some places? I feel like they need to make sure that doesn't happen before undoing that nerf.

Haddonfield yea it was an issue on the map as others have pointed out cause of how it’s set up. I’ve had the idea of reverting it for awhile now but wanted to wait to talk about it after they reworked the map in October like everyone thought they would do but they ended up not reworking it for whatever the case may be even though the map needs it and doing shadow nerfs to window RNG instead I think. Can’t find much about it but from word on the street and since playing seeing a bunch more windows being closed I think it’s safe to say that happened. Now would Old BL still be an issue on it? Idk.

    @Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:

I, personally, am okay with exhaustion perks not being as blisteringly strong as the current front runners.

While I understand this, I don’t think reverting it would make it even come close to DH, SB, Adrenaline’s level since pre-nerf those ones were still meta.

You must be baiting, nobody actually thinks Plague is anywhere near bad. You CAN make a case for average, but most would disagree.

My theory is either you've never played Plague or are like all the people that are saying Artist sucks right now: You're very bad with her.

You may also be ignorant of her qualities. I'll name some:

-You start with one pool of red puke by default, which means whether they cleanse or not you have the potential to sweep if they're all sick in one wave.

-Addons allow you to have 3 red pukes by default.

-Have a free NOED on everyone which means unless they cleanse they can't safely unhook and can be easily intercepted for a swift snowball. Legion cannot do this as they can just heal and go save without consequence.

-As mentioned by someone else, No stun, no crappy cooldown, far superior tracking, downing power with insta-down in the open and red puke anywhere else, nullifies a wide range of perks and items.

In what possible universe is Plague worse than Legion? Plague is better than probably 3/4 of the roster right now. I personally think you're baiting but I'm sure some naive people will believe it, so my time probably isn't entirely wasted.

I’m assuming your mmr is either EXTREMELY low or your trolling like the other guy. I’m leaning towards the Latter because the mental gymnastics you were performing in these “points” made 0 sense. I’ll address them quickly then move on from this thread.

-Starting off with a red pool isn’t a game changer. It’s a gamble if you will even get value out of it depending on its spawn and if you get stunned, your done.

-So you are trying to say Add ons are needed to make this killer good????? Lmao yikes. Shot yourself in the foot on this one.

-You don’t get a free NOED. That isn’t NOED. As I’ve stated previously tho the reading comprehension skills may be lacking, the survivors can cleanse away from the hooked survivor and exit gates forcing her to either walk across the map or camp while the other survs get the save and leave with more than likely a 4 man. Another horrendous point.

-What tracking? She has 0 tracking. Legion does circles around her tracking wise. The only tracking she has is an IRI add on. Not to mention she has NO map mobility what-so-ever unlike Legion. She doesn’t “nullify” anything. The mental gymnastics you are performing are getting even worse.

In what possible universe is Plague better than Legion? She’s a D tier killer at BEST. As I said I’m pretty sure your trolling but I wanted to address just in case any naive people actually think you were in any way correct. I’d suggest raising your mmr and gaining more game knowledge. Moving on.

I kinda expected you are kidding...

Plague is way better than any killer you listed. Plague is better than most killers in dbd since CoH and her buffs.

Deathslinger got way worse since nerfs.

Except plague, all killers you listed are just bad and probably only clown is worse than Legion.

What? Are you trolling? Plague is one of the worst killers in the game. If you don’t cleanse, she’s an M1 killer. If you do cleanse and the team has an IQ higher than 30 it’s after most if not all gens are done away from gens/exit gates making her helpless. I’m sure your trolling so I’m just gonna resume what I was doing.
