Rules for thee not for me. Cool post regardless but it’s all rules people want other people to follow and there is no real way to force acceptance of them.
-
I think blood web is only a symptom and not the cause. Perhaps take a look at points awarded in a match. Cause 5k points makes bw progression incredibly slow.

Your account data is tied to your steam account. Not your pc.

Normally that doesn't need to be revealed, really bad because they are totally different things between fountains and traps.
It’s a matter of standardization, just as a general rule of them blindness doesn’t affect killer powers. It is necessary IMO
-
I’m only planning on using my survivor cakes. Thoroughly uninterested in using my event cakes and bps cause of how miserable the event was.
-
Blindness doesn’t obscure killer powers such as fountains for plague, traps for pig, etc
-
Thank god these cheaters won’t be able to manipulate stuff in ways that isn’t noticeable. Sad tho some of the cosmetics were nice.

If they all load up around the same time, like instantaneous that could be a sign that they are an SWF. And also if they all have the same name, or a name similar to each other like fza_. Basically if a name suggest they are in a group or clan. And also if they all dress the same it could a sign as well. But other than that it's almost impossible, I also use my instincts if I feel they are an SWF.
The killer is no longer the host which means when they all load in at the same time it could be you connecting to the lobby they were in waiting. There is no way to really know now that there are dedicated servers.

Nope nope Nope

It has no competition because of the sheer weight the licenses bring to it, all people will do is compare the other game to dbd and mock it (Friday 13, Last Year, HSHS), there isn't an incentive to try and make another asymmetrical horror game given the drawbacks that come along with (An insufferable community).

No killers want you to do that. Please stop.
I'll make sure to do it more now.

People always say this but when i play whispers it practically is always lit throughout the match.
For me it seems that whispers only does something at the very start and the very end of the match and the end is mostly irrelivant
I mean you can tell “oh hey I’m 40 meters away from the hooked survivor that means someone is still nearby waiting to go for the save or in the process of saving.” Whispers has a lot of passive info you can gain, I can tell how far away I am and triangulate survivors positions extremely easily and there’s little counterplay to it. Though it definitely takes a lot more skill to interpret than LP.
-
I rarely do it but most of the time I want the killer to hit me out giving them one last bit of bp, and emblem points.
-
It really depends on how seriously you take the game.
-
The game is balanced and the comp scene hurts it as a whole.
-
Allow those meme addons to exceed the bp cap. One idea of mine
-
I don't want to waste my time queuing up for a 5k bp game.
-
I'm actually wondering if you could get cross progression between Windows store and Xbox considering they are both from the same provider (Microsoft).
-
I run it so I don't have stay on gens for any longer then I have to. With Prove Thyself I almost immediately max out one category on a single gen and then can go do other things. No need for it to be nerfed.
-
25 on Kate. I hate it.

Regarding the number of crowns collected so far, as well as the highest number of players on Steam, the console playerbase is at least twice as big.
But they never opt PC out of crossplay since the biggest reason for them to add crossplay in the first place, was to lessen the PC players queue times.
Also explains why platforms don't have their own logos, PC players don't need it. Just to know if they are console or not is enough for them.
Console Cert doesnt allow logos.

Yikes

It’s fair, enough said.
-
Rarely get more than a single one escaping, when it does happen it’s cause I screwed up.
Ive not lost with Bubba yet, and I do get clobbered when I try Nurse.
-
I use whispers paired with corrupt to find someone immediately. Once I down them it immediately becomes one survivor working on objectives while I chase another and the third one unhooks. Using perks like whispers/bbq to quickly find survivors paired with perks like corrupt can allow you to snowball quickly and prevent more than one person on a gen at a time.
-
Her phasing sound stays like normal, except it is not obscured by the terror radius so survivors will hear it at any distance when you are close.
-
It’s definitely difficult having to think as a survivor to find the final ones.

It costs them money to release updates on consoles so a PTB would just be too much work and too much money for them.
And they extended the anniversary event?
Also they gave the shards and BP to console as well...
Console updates are free, they have to go through certification first however.
Extending the event really does nothing since it was not accompanied by a patch fixing the experience for players on different consoles.
The shards and bp are the bare minimum and too often people take it and say “well they gave us this so shut up and be happy about it” which is quite foolish. It never should have happened in the first place, so much for them focusing on two events “anniversary and Halloween” to make them “the best they can be”. Give me a break.

OP what is a 'fun' killer to you? If the answer is just a slight variant of 'run in a straight line fast with limited curve/flick' then I'm sorry but we can't keep re-releasing the same killers(Blight, Demo, Oni, Billy).
'Fun' should not be a major consideration because literally every single killer outside of the ones I listed above have been complained about as 'not fun'. Even some of those in that list are complained about because ruin+undying+tinkerer+whatever is run on them often.
I actually don’t like Demo. His shred hitbox is atrocious.

If a human were picking these, you wouldn't see randomness like we have, because our brains inherently seek out patterns and connections in random data. Humans do not have an inherent understanding of probability and randomness.
This is why a shuffle feature (for some Apple product, I believe) actually had to be made less random so it would feel more random, because people didn't understand that randomness means you can get 10 songs from the same band or artist in a row (especially if that band or artist is featured more often on their playlist), so they had to make the shuffle actively avoid doing that (i.e.: make it less random) because otherwise people would make the non-existent connection between two songs and conclude that the shuffle "wasn't" random.
I heard that it was a person with a spreadsheet who picked them.

I didn't follow the shrine but i notice that some are repeating themselves.
I'm guessing they're choosing the perks because RNG code is quite diverse, all 4 of them can be of licensed characters.
I don't think it is related to any agreement, otherwise none of the licensed perks would have appeared.
They may only appear in a few months, this can make impatient people buy the characters instead of waiting of that specific perk.
I would not be surprised if this is a kind of trick to make us buy the character.
Person gets a set of rules on what perks are not allowed to appear and they pick at random following those rules. It's not done through code so they can pick for events/rift challenges/ or themes.

I’m a survivor main but I do just fine when I’ve been playing Freddy for dailies. I didn’t need my hand held with slowdown addons before so this nerf didn’t change anything for me.

Yeah except when I see every survivor using it and it literally being a free health state.
Well seems like majority of survivor perks are just bad so that’s why you see Dead hard on every single person. Exhaustion perks will always compete with each other for survivors just like certain perks will always compete with each other for killers.
-
Such an ignorant post I thought it was a joke at first.
-
Isn’t that the point of equipping perks so they can help you.
-
If I’ve recently hooked them I’ll slug cause I find it annoying to tunnel. If they body blocked with bt I’ll just hook.

Honestly I think it's the Event
Nice survivors get face camped/tunneled by some jerk killer who is being a jerk because of the event. The survivors get irked and bitter and start taking it out on killers with being annoying clickity click jerks. They do annoying clickity click jerk things to a killer who is trying to be nice during the event, which irks them and makes them bitter so they start taking it out on survivors. A nice survivor gets irked and bitter and...
and now everyone is an A-Hole! :D
That’s why I’ve been doing it. When the killer has started tunneling or not going after other people when I’m bodyblocklocking them I’ll clicky clicky and what not.
-
Or just use We'll make it and get great value for up to 90 seconds after you unhook someone.

People don't understand the fact that you can use the cake, get 100% more BP and then get even more cakes with the extra BP while upgrading your character at the same time. Saving it isn't a productive strategy. If you keep burning it you can keep a constant flow of supply (especially for killer) and if anything you will get more cakes and not less. Saving it and using it for later is just wasting the opportunity.
Bloodwebs are around 50-75k and when killers are sweating as hard as they have been its not worth it running the very few cakes I can get from my bloodwebs, if any that spawn.
@TwitchyMike said:
Okay I have soo many matches where players aren't even burning offerings... I mean this is the best time to use your cakes while the event is live and most people have them. Saving them for later won't make them as effective. Just spreading them out is useless
Why should I play a cake and when the killer sweats not get any return on it. If anything it rewards the killer for sweating while I get screwed. No thanks.

I spend 315,000 on Yun Jin before I got a single cake a couple days ago. Just now I spent 220,000 on her and I got ZERO cakes. I've had to go through more than 10 bloodwebs on my P3 Nea and Yui to get a single cake. They just are not dropping for survivors. And I'm not going to bother when so many killers are tunneling people out with less than 5,000 BP. Others probably feel the same.

Other games allow it. At some point it becomes apparent that it is BHVR’s fault it doesn’t exist. That point was quite awhile ago.
Basically BHVR would rather not allow people to progress from console to PC and vice versa because they want us to have to rebuy DLC and most importantly cosmetics. Same reason why they will release a DLC with little to no testing on console and then pull part of that DLC yet still sell it right now at full price.
That's really a misnomer. Bhvr gets the same cut on Console as they do on PC which is 70%. The issue is if the console wants to honor purchases spent on another platform on theirs. This was shone in Sony's leaked documents for how their lawyers should approach discussions of crossplay/crossprogression with games on their platform. Bhvr has stated they want crossprogression and are working on it. It's quite clear with everything out there that they haven't done what Sony wants and same with Xbox in regards to crossprogression being allowed.

So you put Victor under a hook before hooking a survivor on said hook to evade the mechanic that stops you from using Victor next to a hooked survivor?
If that's the case then it can be considered an exploit.
Well to be clear its not exactly certain what they did and they certainly do have reason to lie. Also not certain if that exploit is bannable or not considering the sheer number of people who have done it. Odds are it is something else.

I'm just trying to guess what "errors in design" could mean.
I've been seeing people playing with custom character models and animations, so it was just the first thing to pop into my head.
I imagine the circumventing of Victor's anti camp restriction. But we will never know for certain.

It better be worthwhile.
Because they should've fix this problem two years ago when they mention it in their last road map.
It shouldn't get worse every chapter, mid-chapter and hotfixs since most of bhvr have been working on this game.
I’d actually point out regardless of what they do, it’s not worthwhile at all. Absolutely atrocious performance on consoles BEFORE the event and the lack of fixes means the “great events” are unable to be enjoyed to the full extent. Plus targeting fixes for AFTER the event ends means console players can’t have the same experience as other players.
No changes on the event dates, with lack of updates until after is absolute trash and it doesn’t matter what they tweet about addressing the issue.

No that update is great, I feel much better now, as I've said in the past, it's when things are being worded so vaguely or downplayed that causes concern. Just them specifying the HDD stuttering directly on consoles is a lot bigger than I think people realize.
Thanks @MandyTalk
Much appreciated.
Acknowledging it doesn’t change the fact that this terrible experience has ruined the anniversary event for consoles.
