What astounds me is since there is no pallet the killer can functionally gain bloodlust without any concrete way for the survivor to break it, and people still have issues playing these tiles.
-
I can't wait until it gets reenabled. I really like the maps which stand out with their gameplay and rpd promises to do exactly that.
-
Because like it or not, your experience doesn't reflect the majority result. Which is that 60-70% of the time the killer walks away with a 3-4k and they only remember the odd match where things didn't go their way so they have to make sure it never happens.

Swamp’s spawns are actually pretty good from my experience but yeah the rest can be rough
Every totem spawn I have seen on swamp has always been in the farthest corner or the exact middle of the map, no inbetween. ;-;
-
It's a 4v1, which means they have to allow some agency to both sides to be able to influence the match. Depriving survivors of skill means its meaningless to play survivor, likewise with killer.

And that's fine, but the game is a 1 v 4, asymmetrical experience. The solo player should intrinsically be stronger than the 4 (and, to be fair, mechanically, they are), so the game is already rewarding players for playing poorly. The big thing is that it is supposed to be a Team Game, not a 1v1. Any survivor, no matter how skilled, should eventually lose to a killer because there are FOUR of them. The game should not be balanced around Your specific results, but around the results of the team.
That's why Bloodlust still exists. You as a survivor will still go down or waste a commensurate amount of resources directly against a killer, but it shouldn't be a solution where the killer intentionally plays terribly but is able to somehow kill a survivor at the end of the game bypassing all of the normal requirements.

Well, they DO have to catch somebody, obviously. It's just that they only have to catch somebody once if that person successfully kites them around for the whole match. Or did you think you can use a Mori on an uninjured survivor?
I'm not a fan of rewarding a player for playing poorly an entire match. I'd much rather prefer the suggested mori rework which would make it more a natural part of the trial (they mentioned this in the anniversary stream).

Killer shack is the killers domain, especially with a basement in it. Once a killer hooked someone in the shack basement, good luck getting them out without risking a hook trade.
As for the lockers, they arent really safe as its only potential security at the cost of an instadown for any killer without needing any chase.
The god pallet and strong window are kinda needed due to map balancing since it has the option to spawn the strongest killer structure and nothing in this game should be guaranteed untill the opponent has nothing left. So as long as survivors are standing, killers should not be guaranteed a kill for simply hooking a survivor in the basement. To counter the strength of the basement, you need a god pallet and a strong window.
Killer shack is pretty balanced overall. What really does need balancing is the EGC. The EGC needs to be a lot more dangerous to survivors than it is now. The EGC needs to break structures at random to remove resources. The EGC needs to be beneficial enough for the killer to leave hooks, as right now the endgame meta is pretty much the same as it was back in 2016. The only thing the EGC added was a timer the killer could start to force survivors out and fix hatch stand-offs, other than that, it didnt do too much.
Isnt the point of egc just an overall timer, not meant to benefit either side.
-
Just reward the killer for not catching anyone. Sounds like a completely good idea...
-
I linked my steam account to my bhvr account and haven’t lost any progress. The key thing to remember is when you unlink your account it sets it back to the original progress.
-
The npc aspect of his kit takes away the direct threat correlation from the killer himself which isn’t something I want from him.
-
Too many killers pretending to farm and then killing everyone.
-
In regards to the zombies I recall Janick saying they chose two as it was what the game would support and it wouldn’t relegate too much of the threat the killer poses to bots which essentially are rng.

And you shouldn't be having those issues.
All of those cards should be able to run a 5 year old game no issue.
There must be something fundamentally wrong with how the game is optimized if NEW graphics cards are having issues
3060ti, i9-9900k cpu and I also have framerate issues. Mainly on the newer maps but holy cow. With my build I shouldn't be having any issues at all but it still sucks butt.

That's actually very true! He has openly said in his stream that he thought Billy feathering his chainsaw and curving behind a corner was unfair. Billy's overheat exist solely because of him.
That would imply the Design team collectively didn't have any input which I find to be next to impossible.
-
Never since August
-
The game is not survivor sided and people complaining don't want to accept that they lost.
-
Great combo assuming you can get the rest of your team to run it as well. Otherwise its phenomenal with a medkit instead.
-
The limited number of vaccines was the cause for the lack of survivors using them.
-
When the Comp number of players is so miniscule why bother since the majority of the changes will effect casual players.

Imagine complaining about a almost useless perk combo.
The mmr was 10 times better than what we had before.
I'll pass on mmr when every game without fail its some combo of ruin undying pop. As I'm sure you've seen before with survivor builds consisting of just dh, ds, unb, bt its not fun and thats what I don't like. There was no variation in builds which made matches very boring (not op) and I think that same line of thinking was reflected among various content creators such as Farmer John where every match just kept getting sweatier and sweatier.
tl;dr - Trying to play for fun was impossible as your mmr kept increasing, and matches kept getting progressively more boring.
-
A literal m1 simulator by some edgy person is not fun. The counterplay is also not fun.
-
No every game was ruin undying. I'll pass on mmr honestly its not fun at all.
-
The crowns are like the bud lite version of legacy. If only they actually rested on top of the characters head but instead they just float, and you can't even use a different head piece since the crown only uses a default head.
-
Weird I never thought spine chill and iron will were the two strongest survivor perks in the game.

I'll agree to disagree. I find it very mind numbing to play against the Twins. Especially when they place victor under a hook and try to exploit that.

It was removed when they did the MMR matchmaking system (basically giving each killer their own "individual" rank for you so your main might be Rank 1 but someone you've never played as might be Ranked 20; they didn't want you to load into a lobby with your Rank 20 killer and then switch to a Rank 1 killer once the lobby was filled with noob survivors).
When MMR was an absolute colossal failure, they disabled MMR without disabling being able to switch your killer out
As far as I understand it, the lock was kept in place to avoid needing a client update when they want to test mmr again and also to allow players to get used to it.
-
I mean they have explained the changes made. The UI was updated to a newer and supported technology built into Unreal Engine called UMG and that has resulted in multiple improvements, it wasn't just changed willy nilly. The ability to switch killers while queuing up was made in preparation for the mmr update which would have individual killer mmr, and changing the ability for the client to switch while queued would require an update every time they change it (which wouldn't work). As for killer nerfs as far as I know Pig hasn't had anything happen to her.

Not reportable though
Not progressing the game by not killing me is reportable. Qualifies as holding the game hostage which is what I report for.
-
If I go against a killer and they want to farm I just play normally and then report them after.
-
They’d much rather address the reasons why people don’t connect to matches rather than providing bp and I think it’s the right thing to do.
-
Oni only has two stages and when his fury mode runs out of juice it pretty much resets his meter to 0. The passive filling for that is encourage him to be hitting the survivors. Myers has 3 modes and doesn’t regress to evil within 1 after he leaves it. He also has a stalk limit to avoid one person feeding him on stuff like the iri addons which require additional stalk.
-
Trickster with no gen delay perks and all of my perks are at tier 2. Keep chases short, recognize when you can achieve a hit and when you can’t in a realistic time. Generally for me if I can’t get a hit in around 15 seconds or a pallet thrown in that time I rotate away.
-
Typical post I’d expect from a killer main similar to “self care is a really good perk guys keep running it fellow survivors”
lol
-
@Adjatha said:
Honestly, there's a LOT of metrics that ought to be factored in, not just kills.
Like, how about Hits? Did the killer get a 0k but hit survivors 15-20 times and the survivors just kept healing back to full?
Or Hooks? Did that 4k come because all the survivors gave up on their first hook?
Or Generators completed? Are all the 1-2k games ending because survivors are just Keying out at the first sign of a real End Game?
Or average time in chase? Is the 4k coming after 10 second chases, or as the result of a grueling, 15 minute ordeal that ended with every pallet broken and 16-some Second Chance perk uses?
But hey, it's just easier to say "Freddy's killing 3 people on average, so clearly he needs a nerf"
Or maybe they take that all into consideration and still arrive at that conclusion?
-
It doesn't count towards unlocking chests
-
They tried with lucky break but too many complaints about that. Let’s hope the 60s timer stays from the ptb.

I rarely get tunneled off the hook myself but if I do, I expect my team to have BT so I can at least try to survive until I reach a loop.
Yeah I've kept bt on cause the sheer amount of times the killer just ignores me and goes for the injured guy even with me blocking is insane.
-
Pretty solid, I normally run WGLF, BT, DS, and Bond. I tried not using DS but its so bad nowadays.
-
It's not that the system is special only to blight, its the system they use for m1 attacks. You slide off shack since you can't m1 the wall from that particular orientation.

A 4 man flashy squad is the easiest win in this game tbh. As for toolboxes they are okay but medkits are stronger
Literally true, I went against one on cowshed and it was an easy wipe. I get much more afraid when I see 4 medkits.

These screenshots don't exactly display the standard experience. It's easy to cherry pick examples, and we would never know. Also, the Spirit screenshot doesn't exactly prove your point, other than you not running Stridor and still succeeding with an S tier killer.
Wait, I think I know that username that's used in about two thirds of these screenshots... am I talking to the legendary IloveDemo who wrote in e very similar style on identical topics and was banned for being overtly hostile towards anyone that didn't share their exact opinions? If not, then this is a very strong and strange coincidence.
Also, Blight is S tier, because he can deal with skilled survivors, even a rank 1 4man SWF sweat squad and still have a decent chance of winning if the player is good enough. Having no counterplay isn't what makes a killer S tier. It's being able to not entirely rely on survivors making stupid mistakes over and over to get the slightest amount of progress.
- It is indeed easy to cherry pick but as I said, my steam screenshots which weren't uploaded (over 100 games) were lost when I had to reinstall windows. They also don't need to display a standard experience when they were in direct response to the OP claiming I don't play in red ranks, or just play S tier killers.
- No this is not IloveDemo, don't even know who that is.
- Blight isn't S tier because when the survivors use the counterplay to the max and he isn't exploiting, it is very difficult for the blight. Spirit is S tier because even when the survivors are using the counterplay to her, she can easily still secure hits/downs. Same thing with nurse. However, since killer tiers are opinion based it is up for debate.
Besides what is exactly the standard experience one should expect from screenshots.

Don't you know that SWF is synonymous with playing well in any way shape or form that inconveniences me
😂 lmfao I 100% relate, every game it’s difficult. I blame swf instead of me just being bad.
-
Well they aren’t losing against solo so you won’t hear them complain about that. Unless they think the solo survivors are swf, then you definitely will hear them.

I disagree that the standing still mind game is an issue. You wouldn't move towards any killer who is standing still at the other side of the pallet so spirit should really be no exception there.
Spirit unlike any other killer gives no indicator that she is using her power other than by standing still. Using that as a comparison to other killers is a fallacy

Ok, considering what you said there are 3 options for you
- you don't play at red ranks as killer
- you only play with S tier killers (nurse, spirit, blight, or something like that)
- you're the luckiest guy on earth and only gets chill survivors with no considerable amount of meta perks or items
If you play a B tier or lower killer on red ranks you will see what we're talking about, if you make 1 mistake playing this kind of killer, there's no recovery dude, you're screwed, you can still win, but you will have to play like a f*cking god or pray to the survivors to make awful mistakes so you can come back to the game. As a survivor, you can make like 123412342412324 mistakes and be totally good, that's the difference.
PS: if I wanted to pub stomp and always win I would just play spirit, it will be a lot easier than discussing with you
Unfortunately when I had to reinstall windows I wasn’t able to save the screenshots I didn’t upload from steam but ultimately this is enough proof right now. I can even stream and show you video proof as well to prove my point that killer even without these 17 screenshots I have, is the easiest it has ever been. Still continuing with my bubba 4K streak which doesn’t make exceptions for mercy or hatch escapes. Easy.
But yeah keys and survivors are definitely overpowered and an automatic loss. The only thing I am irritated about is losing those screenshots since I would’ve loved to put all couple hundred of them on here.
edit: also blight isn’t s tier. He is A tier since he still has meaningful counterplay. Unless the killer is exploiting.
-
This would make Stridor even more of an annoyance than it already is.
