Personally, the only thing I hate about dead hard is the invincibility mid-dash, because it allows the survivors to use it in many weird ways, like the classic DH over bear trap, or the DH past the killer, or the DH into wall or dropped pallet. I think it would be balanced if it just gives you some distance (maybe more than the actual), without being invincible, you would have to use it in a smart way to get some value, unlike today.

The punishment for being found and downed is you are one hook closer to being killed. There is no need for an additional slowdown which will make the game even easier than it already is for killers.
Exactly, and if the killer wants to really get some real value from it, they will have to tunnel the sh*t out of you, so you will cry in the end game chat and probably report them for doing their job.

I play plenty of killer and get easy 4k's almost every single game. I don't need to cover my self in some sort of cloak of entitlement to see that this would just feed into making the game even easier than it already is for killers. You people get like 49 games of pub stomping wins and the one game against competent survivors you cry and complain on the forums about how unbalanced the game is. Cry me a river with these terrible suggestions that "The game would be more fun for both sides". Even with the old ruin and undying "promoting a healthy playstyle for killer's" there still was slugging and tunneling. Just admit you want to pub stomp and always win when thinking up these moronic suggestions and then this conversation can continue elsewhere.
Ok, considering what you said there are 3 options for you
- you don't play at red ranks as killer
- you only play with S tier killers (nurse, spirit, blight, or something like that)
- you're the luckiest guy on earth and only gets chill survivors with no considerable amount of meta perks or items
If you play a B tier or lower killer on red ranks you will see what we're talking about, if you make 1 mistake playing this kind of killer, there's no recovery dude, you're screwed, you can still win, but you will have to play like a f*cking god or pray to the survivors to make awful mistakes so you can come back to the game. As a survivor, you can make like 123412342412324 mistakes and be totally good, that's the difference.
PS: if I wanted to pub stomp and always win I would just play spirit, it will be a lot easier than discussing with you

I write this both on one post because i love playing both roles. I am sure someone is thinking same with me in fog.
Spirit is unhealthy killer for survivors. With Headset + Stridor, Spirit has really unfair gameplay. When i play survivor and when i see this girl i wanna dc but i am staying because of queues times. This girl has not any counter and unfair. And she does not need any skill. Great powers for low skill killer.
And Dead Hard. Catching good survivors need to show effort. And Dead Hard gives survivors one free heal, it is unfairly second chance perk. And when they are use that, they are going to safe pallet or windows and then one loop again. And generator times are fast and other survivors are still on generators. You had this survivor and you would go to back your generators but this perk made this harder. So that perk gives killer unfairly time waste and also that perk does not any skill too. Press E and get your free second chance. This perk needs rework.
Both them are unhealthy for game and both them are so annoying. Please fix both.
I think a good way to nerf dead hard would be removing the invulnerability mid-dash (and MAYBE, increasing a little bit of length in it), it would force the survivors to use it in a smart way, not getting free value for just pressing the E key. Like, one time I was playing huntress and literally landed a hatchet in a survivor's ass mid dead hard, it had the sound effect and the blood spill of landing, but because of the invulnerability, nothing happened, it was absolutely ridiculous dude LMAO.

The only way I would think this would be fun is if DS didn’t cancel when performing interactions. Since that happens I really don’t want 60 seconds of being slowed so regardless of what I do I’m useless.
I don't think so, if you're on a gen, you're exposing yourself, so there's no point in making you basically invulnerable. And you'll not be "useless", you will do gens and stuff, but slower, as a punishment for being found and downed. Today, your teammates can just unhook and heal you in 20 seconds (or less) and you're in the game again as if nothing happened until the 3rd hook.

If you think a change like this would stop camping, tunnelling, running 4 slowdowns etc you're delusional lmao. It could be an ok idea but it wouldn't do over half of the things you think it would do.
I never said "stop" dude, I said that it would be less efficient and dumb, if someone is really into camping/tunneling he/she will do it no matter what, but good players won't, because it will not be optimal.
