Yet another cross progression game!
Another multi-platform game just announced that they are providing the ability to play with your PSN account on PC/iOS/Android, Genshin Impact.
At this point the excuse that SONY won't allow it is completely wrong. They will allow it, obviously. So get it done, please, BHVR!

Sony is hard to work with and i would not be surprised in any capacity if they just say no anyway. One of the few things you cant really blame bhvr for.

Again, theres little testing on console because console makers have extremely stupid policies for testing; the devs cant make a ptb for console and it takes 2 weeks for patches to be verified. Feel free to yell at bhvr for pc bugs, but console devs are at fault when it comes to console.
And its entirely up to sony. As it is the only reason any game on ps is able to do cross anything is cause bethesda threatened to pull games from the ps if they werent allowed crossplay for a card game of all things. Sony is still very selective about it.
You are wrong. ALL of the evidence clearly shows that you are wrong. You cannot defend BHVR in this, because of that evidence. BHVR have not yet done whatever is necessary to make this happen.
It is 100% on BHVR, NOT Sony.

It isn't that Nintendo OR Google 'allowed' it. It is that BHVR were willing to do whatever Nintendo and Google required, but they obviously have not yet done whatever Sony is requiring, making it on BHVR to do what is necessary to make this happen.

That's really a misnomer. Bhvr gets the same cut on Console as they do on PC which is 70%. The issue is if the console wants to honor purchases spent on another platform on theirs. This was shone in Sony's leaked documents for how their lawyers should approach discussions of crossplay/crossprogression with games on their platform. Bhvr has stated they want crossprogression and are working on it. It's quite clear with everything out there that they haven't done what Sony wants and same with Xbox in regards to crossprogression being allowed.

It has nothing to do with f2p. Leaked documents with Epic (Fortnite) showed that Sony wants compensation for the money they lose with crossprogression.
So if you dont have enough leverage or are not willing to pay the price sony wants, you get no crossprogression.

It depends. Even for f2p-games you need to buy the ingame-currency in the playstation store. So of course there are many small f2p-games where it isnt much, but for example Fortnite and Genshin Impact make a lot of money for Sony.
But big games have the money and the leverage to get crossprogression:
“I can’t think of a scenario where Epic doesn’t get what we want - that possibility went out the door when Fortnite became the biggest game on PlayStation,” is a quote from an official email from Epic to Sony.
The only things I want are my killer/survivor inventory (perks, add-ons, bloodweb progress, ect.) and the exclusive cosmetics. I can rebuy the DLC, I can rebuy the non-exclusive cosmetics.
A lot of people just don't want to grind all over again considering how long it takes and there's things they literally can't get again.
You seem very eager to throw the blame exclusively on BHVR. Fact of the matter is, we don't know what the circumstances are, and most likely won't know for some time, if ever.
I'm guessing both parties involved are "to blame" here, whatever that even means in this context. Even if BHVR hasn't met Sony's (or whatever company's) requirements, you can also argue that said requirements could be a bit extreme. We simply don't know either way.
