There should NEVER be a punishment for wanting to play together with friends. Never ever.
There should, however, be visual indicator in the lobby of who's in a SWF and with whom, and then reward the killer (and solos) with bonus points for playing against (or with) the SWF group(s).

This is probably the most reasonable pitch for a fifth perk slot I've seen, and the limitations seem workable.
The problem is that all of the exhaustion perks are locked behind teachables, and all but one arguably useful hex perk as well. And, a lot of those teachables are further locked behind DLC characters. If something like this were to be added, it would have to be done in a way that is accessible and useful to the lowest common denominator (i.e. players who have purchased the base game and no additional content).
↑This. No point in having a Dedicated Slot for Hex/Exhaustion perks when most of either are locked behind DLCs.

I don't recall the last time I used one.

And fill over half the stream with fan art...
Dont get me wrong - some of it is great but its not exactly why most people watch those streams...
Some naive hope and optimism that Behavior might provide something? Hard to tell. People get so defensive when you speak bad about Behavior.

I only play default Dwight Fairfield.
And as Killer, its almost entirely Clown.

I feel the reason they can't just stop and fix bugs is because people will lose interest and stop playing plus no new revenue. Like imagine this. They say year 5 will be a big fixing year only and the road map consists nothing but that, how many youtubers will do theories and discussions on the next bug to be fixed? Nobody. And it's not like they're not slowly fixing them as time goes on just not as a fast as some people hope but at the end of the day I'm pretty sure they have a small team who just does that and fixing bugs isn't as easy as making new content since you need to do problem solving. Idk just my take on it.
That's why they need to do the fixing in short bursts. Skip a chapter or something and focus only on untangling that messy spaghetti code.

Nah they still have a live Q&A stream planned for this week. It was announced after the delay happened. So it'll either be out Tuesday/Wednesday or they'll stop to do the stream in the middle of the rush.
https://twitter.com/DeadByBHVR/status/1187389024815767553?s=19
It doesn't really matter if they have a Q&A or not, they''ll pick the easy and non-important questions as usual.
-
One of the worst, based upon my own experience.
-
Let's give it a shot, for a few of them.
Trapper - Can now reset traps without picking them up first.
Wraith - Bone Clapper add-on is now base-kit.
The Cannibal - Leatherface no longer stops after breaking a pallet with his chainsaw, instead the frenzy is reset and he continues sawing.
The Pig - Charging Dash Attack no longer causes the roar until its fully charged and initiated.
The Clown - Increase the slow duration and slow effectiveness of the Afterpiece Tonic. Remove the Clown's vaulting grunts.

You're being greedy. Wait until the update is ready to go live. Be grateful the devs dont want to release a buggy mess.
You are aware that the update will probably ship a buggy mess, delay or not, right? Behavior's track record pretty much proves it.

Why not set your profile or messages to private, disable the chat itself (if you're on Steam) and just play without caring?

Honestly I'm annoyed at linking the event with the Rift.
I get it you're a business.
People who were planning on buying the battle pass were going to buy it anyway.
Adding the brightness to the premium pass instead of the store selection was just to sweeten the premium pass deal.
Having the serum in the three section give a reason for people to constantly keep going back and checking the battle pass so they're more likely to notice something on the corresponding premium clear that they've unlocked that they probably want to get so they buy the premium.
Fine whatever I could take it, it's nowhere near as insidious is the stuff in EA Ubisoft and Activision have all done.
Not happy about is that the delay of the Chapter has now delayed the Halloween event.
Even if it was basically a pseudo bloodpoint event at this stage I was still looking forward to the hype of it now this just really not much point.
Hype has died down and we're most likely going to get the Halloween event after Halloween which is kind of sad considering we already missed the summer event
Don't get me started on the Rift. With the recent revelation (to me at least) that you can only earn about half of the fragments needed to unlock the entire Battle Pass from Archive challenges (and the challenges themselves end up being borderline unbeatable towards the end.. not to mention having time-gates on them) means that there's no ######### way a normal player can unlock the entire Battle Pass without buying tiers.
Hopefully they won't take inspiration from Fallout First.
-
Certain monitors for PC have a "gaming" function that lets you add a crosshair to the screen. It won't even show up in recordings.
-
The PTB exist to create hype for upcoming content, that's it. If the developers used our feedback from the PTB to improve their game, they'd overhaul the Archive challenges and reduce the fragment grind for the rift. Which they won't.

Set your messages to friend-only and save yourself sanity.

Press this button to close the chat window. Never press it again. Now you cannot see what people write to you AND you cannot write anything to them. Its a massive win-win.

How about just permanently blocking that window but in all honesty all maps with main structures are super safe
↑This.
There's a wide range of windows that should be permanently closed off because they turn a loop into an infinite, almost.

This game needs an "Operation Health".

It'd actually be really good if it triggered on non-basic attacks as well.

I don't follow? What are you saying?
You'd have to been hooked recently in order to DS the killer. "Just DS him" doesn't work.
-
"Once"?
-
If I end up reaching the end of the Pass, provided that things aren't a grindy mess, I might buy it to get the money I spend back right away.
-
I'd not say that I am active every day.
-
I'd honestly like to see Rank Rewards first.
I mean, it has only been 3+ years since release. Should happen soon, right?
-
I really don't like them. Cannot disagree that they do fit a niche in the game, though.
-
For existing.
-
Survivor. Its a vacation in comparison to playing Killer.
-
The best thing Trapper could get right now is the power to reset traps without having to pick them up first. That'd save so much time, hassle and frustration.
-
Random stuns tend to scare me, as they're so sudden.

That's my point exactly, it never should of been tied too the Archives in the first place. Changing an entire portion of the game is guaranteed too have bugs, and tying the event too it is simply a bad idea IMO.
How else would they entice players to try out their Battle Pass?

In the lore he's a drug/alcohol abuser so I wouldn't be surprised if he took a swig or two...
He'd have tried his masterpiece on himself to see its effects, that's for sure.
As for Clown buffs, I 100% whole-heartedly agree that the slow-down he suffers whenever he throws a bottle needs to go away.
Since I am basically a broken record at this point, I am just gonna pull up a few buff suggestions that I like;
- Hitting a survivor directly with a bottle douses them in the Afterpiece Tonic, making them leave a trail of gas after they leave the cloud for 1-2 seconds.
- The longer a survivor is in the gas, the longer the duration of the slow.
- Reloading releases clouds of gas around the Clown.
- The gas, by default, inflict 5 seconds of Exhaustion.
-
I made a thread regarding this exactly a long time ago. Another function you'd believe to be implemented by default in an online store, yet missing.

That's okay. I saw that a number of people were excited by this so I thought I would mention it.
Still, TOW I think is still worth getting even if it's not on Steam yet😁
I am also excited for it. Just more patient than most. I'll wait for it to come to Steam before I get it.

Not to mention the horrid rubber-banding that's going on.

I feel you. Slightly off topic, but here goes: the new trend in the gaming industry with P2W is scummy. We all know that. What is even more scummy, for me, is building elements that benefits from pure psychological tomfuckery.
What really grinds my gears about the upcoming system for DBD, is the fact that it s designed to be impossible to complete. At least according to the data of several members of the community. There has been sooo many studies on how human brains react to potential loss. And this system benefits from this. Pay to not lose out on tiers.
This type of deal makes me lose respect for BHVR big time. But we’ll wait and see. Here’s some good reads on the subject f you’re interested:
https://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/RaminShokrizade/20130626/194933/The_Top_F2P_Monetization_Tricks.php

http://platinumparagon.info/the-psychology-of-loot-boxes-and-microtransactions/
The Fear of Missing Out is a very powerful psychological trigger that companies abuse in their players to maximize revenue. That's what the Battle Pass is, afterall. They made it too hard to complete normally, so they want you to open up your wallet and buy tiers instead.
-
There's a ranking system and a matchmaking system. Both implies that its a competitive game.
-
Maybe when it pops up on Steam.

"Some things went wrong and we wouldn't feel comfortable putting the update out in the state it's in."
This is kind of funny considering they have brought updates in horrible horribles states before. They can't mess up any further with this one.
Careful, now.
-
Clown
- Remove slowdown on bottle throws.
- Direct hits douse survivors with the Afterpiece Tonic, causing them to leave a trail of gas for 1-2 seconds after leaving the cloud. Basically extending the slow duration.
- The longer a survivor stays in the gas, the longer duration the slow will be.
- Afterpiece Tonic by default inflicts 5 seconds of Exhaustion on survivors who're affected.
Trapper
- Trapper can now reset traps without having to pick them up first.
-
Soon™
There's not ETA.

There should NEVER be a punishment for wanting to play with your friends.
It should, however, be an incentive for others to play against groups of friends. Like bonus post-game BP for killer and solos who play together/against SWFs.
-
The only developer I am aware of, that I am following, that actually keeps to their roadmap is the developers of Risk of Rain 2.
Roadmaps, to me, is just a shield that you can hide behind to block criticism on why development is slow. Its kinda like that "Its a Beta™" response.

At least the addons, some were painful.
Most needed change, tbh. I am not mad in the slightest about that.

Sadly, most killers cannot do that well without certain add-ons. Playing without them is a severe handicap in some cases.

GARLIC.
