@Koldvar There's no issue with complaining about something, but going all caps and threatening them to not spend money isn't the way to go about it.@Kilmeran They're aware of the issue and have even posted about it on the forums several times so instead of throwing out baseless insults avail yourself to the available information. Just because they don't respond to each and every thread let alone yours doesn't mean they're not aware of it or working on it.
i reported the problem days ago via forums and twitter on a more gently way.i just dont know what else to do for them to fix it(that "threat" is not a bluff tho).days are running out,ive still have a lot of killer vials to fill and i dont wanna wait 30 min on rank 1 for each game...

While I understand the frustration I just finished my killer late last night, fixes don't happen overnight unless it's game breaking things. This one they have to identify the problem which might be just too many people playing one side now that that other side is done.
If that's the case there's not much they can really o about it for now and if it's code side they have to make a fix that doesn't break other things before releasing it. That fix also has to pass certification for consoles both sides.

Who has? The only one I saw was Peanits, and the last one I saw from him stated that it was because too many people were simply playing Killer.
If there were others, I missed it. Which is entirely possible.
Oh, and I never made a single thread on the topic. So, you might want to avail yourself of the information on what threads I have created before tossing out baseless insults.
Wow. I see how fun this keyboard warrior nonsense is now. Thanks!
If you'd notice how I broke that post up into 2 distinct parts you'd realize that the 1st comment dealing with threats was tagged to the op while the comment you just referenced was tagged to you. So you knew i wasn't referring to you in the threat comment yet turned around and stated i was.
So the only one that needs to avail themselves here would be you and resorting to such a feeble insult is about as good as saying i'm right and you're wrong.

@powerbats I was giving an example to OP who thinks killers need nerfs which isn't going to happenOk, but you should've quoted them not me and a better video would be one where the chase is during the 1st part of the match not the very end. Since at the end of the match you're either going to chase non stop regardless or give them the hatch.

Yes an all caps title and thread threat is a great way to get the devs to listen to you and do what you want. For all the people that threaten never to spend a dime on the game there's plenty that will gladly support the devs. It's almost always the case that those posting like this never spend any money or not very much anyways let alone ever had any intention of doing so.
If companies listened to every poster like you that threatened not to spend money if their wishes weren't emt they'd be out of business pretty quickly.

This can cause some cases where two pallets spawn too close.Who are you exactly? Do they listen to any of your input on the balance of the game?
@Peanits is one of the forum moderators and he does talk to the devs to share concerns of the forum at times.

I'm a totem hunting fiend, I kill any totem I find because not only do you deprive them if NOED if they have it, but you get 600 objective points which really adds up fast. That and you ensure that your teammates won't leave a NOED totem alive somehow.
I've cleansed all 5 totems during matches multiple times because I see teammates just ignore them and then laugh when I get 4 and i'm not on the 1 area of map the other 3 were. Then NOED lights up and I get flamed for them dying lol and me not coming to rescue them.
Well gee you're all on that side of map where totem is, exit gate is open by me and killers coming after me, I may be dumb but I'm not that stupid.
-
My only advice would be remove any identifying info of the killer and submit the video directly to BHVR https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Now while they don't do console bans directly, that doesn't mean that if they find evidence looking from their side they can't ask Sony to go after them. It also helps get the person on their radar for when they do implement direct bans for console.

You're not supposed to endlessly loop a killer till they give up, you're supposed to use that loop to break los and then try and evade or get a better spot to evade at.
You're supposed to plan ahead as a survivor, not depend on the killer not having good perks, know what they're likely to be running and play accordingly.
Try using the map to your advantage, know the safe spots and unsafe spots, which maps killers like best and which they don't. Where the good spots to run to are and where they're not based upon your perks, and the killers and map.

I'm currently unable to work due to an injury so I couldn't afford to pay a monthly fee sadly, not even for dedicated servers. I also think dedicated servers need to wait for new code but also how would that affect those that aren't near a server location?

Well by the same token killer stuff shouldn't override survivor stuff and vice versa across the board. Both sides are taking chances on their perk choices being useful and negating those choices because one side has a perk that counter the others is wrong.
Billy and Nurse and now Rin with BBQ will get to you pretty quickly and whispers defeats UE/IW etc since you know they're around.

Sure. Their DCs just have to be in the required percentage.
Why? Where is that stated? I hear everyone here saying there should be punishment the second they DC. Then send a message to EVERYONE and ban streamers that do it. Gets the message out pretty damn fast.
If you play 100 games a week and only dc 5 that more than likely won't be enough to get you into the ban %.threshold. But if you play 100 games and dc 20 that's probably going to get you noticed quickly. The exact threshold is never known so that people can't try and game the system.
But it's usually based upon % of games played within x time and they usually throw in history of the account as well and mostly the system automates the detection. The bans however are all done manually by BHVR since they don't have the staff compared to say Riot games where the system can automate it.

Chasing is not toxic. Don't get found and you won't get chased.
That's true to an extent but if the killer charges right to your location aka billy or in the case of the bugged spawns. When the killer spawns within 16-24 meters of you and has los you're kinda screwed. Then you get the ones where it's a Doctor or other killers and someone sandbags you and brings the killer to you.
Perhaps the other person was a good looper, or you're wearing an outfit the killer doesn't like, survivor they don't like o0r you evaded them really well last time you faced off.

The problem is as I said before you're taking 4 players each with close to 4k if not more hours played who're among the best in the world and who've played together for a long time. That's not a valid experiment when the results are already going to be predetermined.
What were the offerings for each match, why choose P3 Claudette only, why not ignore chests entirely and VC as well since they don't need it. The other experiments had those very same flaws as well, not to mention they got baby killers doing their dailies instead of always facing killers their rank.
It also appeared that in some of the videos Marth was rank 20 so not sure if that matter or not, but post game windows were missing also at time.
-
While they'll add more licensed killers down the road it does indeed cost money and there's lots of constraints put onto that character. Character model, cosmetics which cost lots of money both in designing and in licensing fees) That takes away from money going directly to the game for things they create themselves, while you want some licensed content you don't want to go overboard.
The other really big issue with licensing is ownership across platforms like Bill from L4d2 which Valve owns on Steam for PC. It's not licensed for usage on Consoles at least not Playstation, the same issue would be true for anything else they license.
-
You'd need dedicated servers and brand new code that optimizes everything for both sides then of course you run into the biggest thing stopping it from ever happening.
Sony's insatiable greed will prevent any type of cross platform play from ever happening, even Console versus Console.

Requirements of something rarer than gold? Franklin may help you: even the best item can be lost...Killers have requirements on their insta-downs and Moris, so Survivors should have requirements on insta-heals. Franklin's is only a band-aid fix. Also, SWF counters it because the person who lost the medkit can just tell the others where it is. If Franklin's destroyed the add-on or medkit, then I would agree with you.
Survivors have requirements to sue that as well, you have to keep the item and swf isn't always there to save your item.
You have to be able to stop and actually use it before getting whacked again.
You can't use it against a chainsaw hit or instant down hatchet or insta down Trap, or exposed effect from Clown, Myers, Devour Hope, Make Your Choice, etc.
Mori's only require 1 hook which if the killer tunnels you means you're going to get screwed.
Killer camps you, well you can't use said medkit.
Once it's used the medkit and isnta heal are gone forever, the killers can still have insta downs for the rest of the game.
-
I can't say i'm surprised that people are running this given the jerk killers I run into at all rank that camp at 1st hook and i mean camp.

Exactly, there are 2 cankers that are fair game, I never said I was entitled to all of it, in fact I never said I was entitled to anything. I just think that if you use an offering you should get some nectar out of it and it's not always the case whether you use offering or not, which is kinda sad if you ask me.Ok, fair enough. Yes it sucks if you play an offering and come away with nothing.
It also sucks when you play an offering and get killed before you stumble across the damn plant.
That's the nature of DbD, and the alternative is basically just put the outfits in the bloodweb. The "fix" is splitting the canker's at 25% nectar for each person. That way if I gather the plant all 4 survivors get part of it.
That's probably something they'll consider in the future but then you have the afkers that'll just go hide and do nothing problem.
-
@Twix said:
You misunderstood what I meant, hence why I corrected you. I call the "vials" points, if I were referring to bloodpoints I would say (blood)points.
Ok I just wanted clarification.
-
@Twix said:
I'm complaining because if I use an offering I should get some nectar out of it, but that isn't the case. If I get found first I'm basically screwed, because 1) people prioritize plants over saves 2) harvesting a plant and getting vials is an individual thing and 3) you don't have to use an offering to get the plants, you can just steal them from someone else.
The event is poorly planned out imo.
This is you feeling entitled to something for free and again you have no issue getting nectar when someone else gets nailed 1st. If you can't get your 30 vials in 2 weeks that's your own fault, don't blame the event for that. You want something for free and you're not getting it for free.

By that logic if the killer found you 1st during the summer BBQ event or any of the other events in the past and the ones in the future will be the worst events ever._nope, because in those events I would get points _if my team completed the generators, in this event I have to harvest the plant not my team.
Incorrect, just like the Summer BBQ event, if you put an offering in you got points for the completed gens. If you put an offering in and a plant gets completely harvested by your team you get the 4k points. In order to get the 2 complete cosmetic outfits you have to harvest plants on survivor side and get hooks killer side.
I'm not talking about the bloodpoints, I'm talking about the points for the cosmetics.
Whether you used offering or not you'd progress toward the cosmetic no matter if you touched a generator or not as long as you were alive when they got completed - that is no longer the case. You must harvest the plant in order to get your vial (no teamwork) and half of the time all the plants are taken before you get off the hook. You stated and I'm **bolding **it above with Italic no less points so you can see why I said what i said based upon your own words. You're also not getting points for cosmetics, you're getting vials of Nectar for the cosmetics. In fact you can easily get vials for both sides with a little effort.
It'd be the worst event ever if the vent lasted for 2 days and that's all the time you had, but here it's 2 weeks and with offerings it's basically double blood points and then some. You just don't like the fact you can't just let your teammates do all the work like before.
When you don't get found 1st and someone else does do you still farm your nectar and when they don't get any do you come on the forums and complain for their sake? The obvious answers are pretty glaring, you have no issue when you get your points and others don't but when you're the one that misses out you get upset.
If you're going to get upset over missing out every so often when you can with a little grind still get both sides done then there's no helping you.

Well if they had Hope or any other perk that speeds up actions then it would've opened quicker, not including another person having such a perk.
Wait, Hope does that?
Hope only adds haste which - 'Character's movement speed is enhanced. ' It does nothing to open the exit gates faster.
Edit: But...it can get you to the gate faster.
Actually that's incorrect it also gives a haste aka speed bonus to all actions including healing, opening exit gates, cleansing totems, and opening chests, and unhooking people.

So removing instant heal means Billy/Bubba give up instant down with their saw, Myers gives up instant downs with Evil III, and Huntress gives up instant downs with Hatchets. Lets not forget Clown with his addon and of course Trapper with his, then lets toss out Hex perks, and make your choice etc.

once the exit gates are powered, it takes 4-5 seconds to open it that's far too fast, i had a game where i had sacrificed 1 survivor , had one hooked , the exit gates got powered , i got 1 person at a gate hooked them right by it then had the the last person unhook run to a untouched gate on the other side of the map and open the gate in the span of 8 seconds. took him 4 seconds to unhook and get all the way across the map to the gate and 4 seconds to power it. i managed to get one survivor who tried to run as the one who powered it sat T bagging in the exit because survivors have no penalties. the time needs to be increased its pretty dang ridiculous.edit: i checked it indeed takes roughly 17-20 seconds to open the gates once powered , dunno what happened that game
You should use the remember me perk to slow down gate opening time if you think it is too fast. It might help you out a bit

_Prurient _interest is the only problem here and bringing up 3 posters who use feminist in their counter arguments is a Straw Man to the extreme.
I do also find it interesting that the account is new and says the exact same things as other posters when when was revealed and then launched. The arguments are the exact same as the threads that got debated before.
The posters arguments were debunked repeatedly and then a new poster would come and post the exact same thing and arguments. They didn't get the responses they wanted so they waited and then came back with new accounts apparently.

-
I read your post but again the only killers this is going to punish are the bad ones who're at ranks they don't belong at. so far killers for the most part aren't having an issue over this and the only ones that are complaining are the bad killers.
As in killers that camp at 1st hook, or camp just because they can camp instead of you know do what they're supposed to do. Which is to hunt survivors down, damage gens, hit and down survivors, hook survivors and pressure them to please the Entity.
If after the match is over you get the message The Entity is displeased because you camped then you pissed off the Entity because you camped. You have 10 seconds to leave the hook before the emblem penalty starts ticking. If there's survivors within 16 meters you have to timer penalty nor do you get 1 if you're beyond 16 meters.
So if you're getting penalized it's because you're camping when you don't need to, this isn't because survivors are whining about it although that certainly is part of why. It's because other killers ar tired of dealing with bad killers being where they don't belong, the devs are tired of killers not participating more in the game.
The end result is if you're getting punished by the emblem then you deserve to get punished on the chaser emblem. If you're not camping you amazingly don't get punished.

@powerbats Survivors literally turn on each other all the time. I can understand if the survivor trapped them in a corner for hours but this I really don’t.
I don’t see how this is different from survivors using aura seeing perks to bring the killer towards someone.
It doesn't matter if they turn on each other or not or use perks, if they're sandbagging their teammates it's reportable. The time doesn't matter either whether you trap them in the basement for a few minutes waiting for ht killer or hours.
Think of it like the law, whether you run that stop sign by a little bit or you blow through it completely, you still ran the stop sign.

The game allows you to get prepared to a game before you enter a lobby dont waste anyones timeThe problem with that is lets say I equip a toolbox or flashlight or medkit or a map etc, I join a lobby and there's already 1 or more of those items equipped. The killer is going to dodge 9 times out of 10 and the proof is in the lobbies and on these very forums.
So as far as wasting anyone's time that'd be killers dodging because they don't like what's in the lobby, not just survivors not coming in prepared. I don't even equip items half the time anymore because of killer dodging the moment I join with an item equipped.
Sometimes i'll join with an item equipped and try and unequip it if I see too many of 1 item or a lobby full of items. But again half the time I either don't gt the chance because the killer dodges instantly or right after i unequip items they dodge.
