  • I have had a few games where Dwights would deliberately try to get the killer to get you and another where a Tapp literally boxed me in so the killer would get me, but none quite like the game I had with this bald Dwight (seriously is that the calling card for douchenuggets?) who literally made it his mission to screw me over.

Like he would not stop following me, he kept teabagging, he would blow up gens I was on, deliberately try to block my path with the killer in sight, open lockers I was in, teabag my dying body, teabag my hook, it was to the point I would have let the killer kill me but thankfully the Doc caught on and he let me go while letting the Dwight suffer.
  • I have Laurie but I’m in no rush to play her. I’m not overly fond of ds as a killer and I think there are perks as a survivor I’m personally better off using.

I’m going to finish leveling the guys to 40 for perks, then I’m playing Meg then Kate then Feng and then Laurie before prestiging Claudette.
  • Um...noed is absolutely nothing like ds. At all.

The killer is literally sacrificing a perk for a hex that literally banks on survivors completing gens. You can completely nullify it by destroying the hex totems and get yourself 600-3000 bp in the process. The survivors have it in their control to not put noed in play, and it’s basically conceding the survivors won and it’s nothing but a protection plan.

    Meanwhile....

Survivors with ds can use ds any time and any place. They have 3 other perk slots to supplement their survivability. A ds survivor who knows how to play survivor will have no problem giving the killer a miserable experience because not only does a killer risk losing time but if they choose to commit, they’re not even rewarded with a hook because ds allows that survivor to escape.

Also OTHER SURVIVORS can have ds too, and unlike the obsession, the killer is not forewarned about them, and it makes for an unfun and unfair experience.

how hard is it to just walk up and hit them? its literally free points
    1. The survivors who this topic pertains to (who are usually swf btw) know they’re safe and usually will deny the killer they literally ran circles around a hit. At best those free 300 points are a rather lame consolation prize that can’t get you a brown add on, at worst you don’t even get them at all.

    2. Even if you do get a hit, they’re going to escape because of the speed boost and killer attack cool down.
  • Oh, there's definitely no reason they wouldn't be using them, for sure. I know but only a few who still have morals. When I play survivor, I've never once used SWF even with an invite as I feel the sheer nature of it detracts from the basis of the game (in before the folks screaming "the devs intended blah blah blah!"). It's not an attack on those who do, since there's no stopping it; it's just a personal preference. But I know a few people who play SWF who don't use voice. Kudos to them. To implement this would almost force them into going voice comm, no doubt.

Now, the killer in me says with my entire heart that implementing this should be common sense and a fair step forward, seeing as how devs have no intentions (or the ability, really) to handle the voice comms issue directly. They're definitely going to have to go around it somehow and just make it more level with the understanding that, most definitely, the vast majority of SWF are indeed using voice comms and that it unquestionably tilts the balance far beyond fair reach in favor of survivors and renders so many perks irrelevant. This idea does initially seem to be a sensible approach without skewing the lobby times that would come from opening a SWF-only queue (an alternative dev option).

It's definitely something that should be looked into. Although, as I do play survivor solo, I have to wonder how this would be implemented if I were to be sucked into a 2- or 3-man SWF game as the "bait" man. Would I also inadvertently find myself only allowed to use X number of perks alongside them thus leaving me unduly neutered perk-wise? Could they realistically apply this to only the SWF members themselves? Or would it take putting SWF into their own full queue anyways, which would bring us back to the bad queue lobby times?

Great idea, I just have to wonder about its implementation and if it could be realistically (and fairly, to lone survivors) applied.

My logic would be that any solo survivors still get 4 perks. Only the swf get limited perks that grey out in the initial join up screen per member that joins.

I don’t know if having a 3 man swf would screw a solo over, but tbh solos already get screwed over by them and you’re encouraged to look out for yourself anyways.

I think overall this would be a fair implementation without negatively effecting swf’s necessity to the game’s survival and quick queue times (especially here on ps4) and it would give some power back to the killer or at least make it more of a fair deal for participating.

Maybe even there could be a blood points incentive for killers to want to not dodge swf like making an inbuilt +50% bp increase post game per swf member - meaning a full team is like having a mini blood hunt. Combine it with stackables like party streamers, killers would want to go against a full swf and those swf would probably find matches a whole lot easier.
  • Did you try turning off and restarting

    Yes, I did. And nothing.
  • I don’t think it would be Ripper because to be frank it would be a little tasteless since in spite of the mystery and gore - people WERE murdered - it would be like having a cult killer whose mori involves ripping open a survivor’s stomach.

It would just be tasteless and disrespectful tbh.
  • I really like that idea of Dr. and Hyde, and it makes sense with the new Doctor and Nurse costumes coming out.

I wasn’t playing when Clown came but I can only assume that’s when the carnival costumes happened. Or like Spirit with the Japanese collection.
  • I agree, dcing is bad and rude and unfair. I never intentionally disconnect - although I will admit to leaving as killer during the event 2 times; and both of which were because the survivors were being really rude and trying to screw me...I don’t like disconnecting but if you waste my time I will waste yours and move on to another more cooperative match.
  • Just don’t act like a male anatomy.

I hate it when people deliberately want to be chased and loop. Or when you flashlight at a pallet. And there’s gen rushing.

Although what’s really bothering me event wise are survivors who are only in it for themselves and intentionally try to screw me. Oh believe me I know both sides can be anuses - last night I had 3 killers in a row who were just jerks; one of whom was a pig who just had to tunnel and down me out of harvesting (even though I wasn’t resisting) even though they were going to win because 2 people disconnected and the 3rd left after getting me off the hook in my struggling phase. But there are much more survivors who jerk killers around.
  • Doctor and Nurse. It makes sense!

Clown and Miss Piggy would also be a dreadful combo.

Spirit and Hag would also be a spooky duo.

Oh okay! I just figured it was purchasable since I have only seen it on people with the fancy clothes.

Honestly it’s just really pathetic, especially when no one has been hooked and they’re Olympian loopers.

I have had so many games today (one of which was with that gross Ochido guy and his group - who I don’t know why was playing against a low rank killer like me) where survivors were just being bags of human anatomy. Like if a killer moves past a regular hook, chances are they’re taking you to an event one. Or when a killer sees you harvesting and doesn’t attack, they’re probably not out to screw you over.

One hook is not going to kill you, especially when you have friends. And idk I feel like whatever goes around will come back around - if you do a friendly killer dirty, you’re going to end up being ripped off flowers and slugged by another (or worse deliberately betrayed by a fellow survivor.)

It’s an event, lighten up and share the wealth you know? Treat others the way you would want to be treated.

That's boring. You shouldn't rely on farming to get your nectar. Just play the game normally and attempt to hook them on the event hooks.

We have all the time in the world to play “normally,” but the event is only 2 weeks and there’s already a lot of pressure to get that nectar. Why not just be kind and everybody wins? Events should be fun and light hearted not stressful.

Did you leave your game on overnight? I find that on PS4 leaving your game on and trying to play again gives me hella glitches.
No, I always shut my ps4 off before I go to bed. But I do leave it idle for like when I’m eating and stuff.
  • MegMain98 said:

Depends...if a killer is letting you harvest then of course I’ll let them put me on a event hook. Although if they are doing things such as setting traps (Hag and Trapper) at nectar plants then I’m not going to LET them hook me on event hooks because they are purposely trapping survivor nectar, so why would I give them theirs?

Example is that I was injured and Hillbilly let me finish harvesting a nectar plant so I obviously let him carry me to an event hook. Another round this Hag set ALL 10 of her traps at a nectar plant, I won’t purposely let her carry me to an event hook.

I mean...yeah it’s understandable for survivors to take killers with a grain of salt when they trap nectar.

But when the killer lets you harvest and then you cut and run, that’s not cool. Or you can clearly see all the hooks spawned on one side of the map so you either run away to the other side or purposely lead a killer on into a difficult place to take you back, that’s not cool either. Or deliberately trying to slow the killer down or even block the hook. Or disconnecting when you’re down or before the killer can place you on the event hook. That’s just scummy.
  • I tend to agree. I really feel like her expensive skin should be the default.

It’s kind of interesting how the male killers all get to be gory and spooky but the female killers (except maybe Hag) are kind of tame looking.
  • I wouldn’t remove anyone but I do believe Freddy needs a huge upgrade in the way of actually being able to see in the dream world. It really did not feel good at all playing him and knowing survivors have the advantage of being able to see and recognize where they are heading most of the time.

I like the Pig but I do agree with op that more often than not Pigs are pretty toxic. If you get a bear trap on you, chances are Miss Piggy is going after you and not the person who made their choice.

I guess I would say Leatherface is rather redundant. Him or Billy.
  • I don’t know but I really hope they change how the map appears for him. I really didn’t like how I as the killer am permanently at a disadvantage by being in the dream world when survivors can see and navigate normally until they’re put to sleep.

I used a splinter offering and I had the exact opposite experience of when I used a Myers offering, I really liked how Michael worked even with no perks and I bought him immediately after.

Always beware the 'friendly' killer that brings a mori.

If I see a friendly killer bring a mori I’m going to cozy right up to them because getting moried is cool and too many survivors see a mori and dc and it’s easy enough to get 5000 survived points vs actually killing a survivor.

lol, what? You trying to spin this unrelated subject into another killer is hard survivor is easy? You are welcomed to get mori'ed every game then, you have fun.

What? No???? I’m just saying you’re more likely to survive and nab those 5000 any game you play as survivor vs a killer requiring a mixture of perks, offerings, luck, and skill to get a mori off. So my philosophy as a survivor is to be kind and allow them the opportunity to mori me, especially if my fellow survivors dced or escaped, because there’s always another game I can survive.

  • As a girl who likes girls I refuse to believe Nea is straight.

And Spirit and Hag are girlfriends.
  • No, I haven’t. Nor do I plan to.

All of my actions are good natured. A survivor is being chased and I know if they get downed they’ll die? Yeah I’ll try to get the killer’s attention. I survived with my friends - a feat in itself since we are bad at surviving? Yeah I’ll do a victory dance out of sight of the killer. I walk or stand by the killer? I’m trying to let them know they can hit or even kill me.

And I find sneaking around doing objectives to be fun and I wish stealth was rewarded more.

Never played a minute of the clown but as a killer main this screen makes my heart hurt. How is it possible to not get a single kill? Were they actually trying or was your team just stacked?

They probably were trying - you don’t bring those add ons without wanting your money’s worth.

Look at that swf group set up though: they all had adrenaline, movement perks, and preservation perks with flashlights and medkits.

The killer probably got a few downs and hooks but I bet you bottom dollar this group used scum tactics like crowding them, blocking hooks, going for the hook right in front of the killer with borrowed time and scurrying off to heal each other like rats before teabagging at the gate.

Poor killer probably wanted to play fair and square, first giving the obvious swf a chance and then playing to the end just hoping to get 1 kill even though this group probably deserved a dc.

I feel bad for the killer and tbh I think op is kind of scummy to joke about suicide.

Don't take it so serious. We weren't even SWF and i'm useless with flashlights, i was just bringing one cuz i was gonna prestige my feng. Honestly the team wasn't even that good, no one was exactly pallet looping it's just the killer seemed a bit lost. We didn't [BAD WORD] teabag thank you very much (i'm a killer main and it's just cancer). There was no body blocking and we didn't even need to use borrowed time cuz the killer only got like 2 hooks. Don't make your ######### assumptions that if a killer lost, all the survivors were toxic. The reality is the killer tried to be toxic, i mean who brings noed when you have an ebony and the best addons, don't be so hateful of survivors.

How is Noed toxic? It’s a valid strategy for a killer and fair game considering a) it’s 4 v 1 and b) survivors shouldn’t dilly dally and should be reminded it’s not over til it’s over.

That’s not toxic. Saying the killer is probably committing suicide because of your match is though.

  • In all likelihood I will probably think you’re screwing with me and trying to get my attention away from my mission so I will ignore you and go after everyone I can get in range of.

If I do catch on one of two things will happen:

    1. I will go along with it if the others are toxic little poops

    2. I will cut you down and deliberately go easy on the survivor you tried to backstab.
  • It’s probably because 80% of the time I have run into bald Dwight as killer, those Dwights tend to be the nasty and mean survivors.
  • I give the hatch to lost souls and nice souls. Sometimes I’ll show mercy to the last survivor after a good game or a long game or one where I just went really hard.

But I have no problem being merciless to the jerks.
  • Not going into how swf will literally leave you hanging, a thing I have noticed in my games is gens will stop at 3 and everyone plays for the hatch. Don’t even count on the other survivor if it’s just down to you two because they want you to die more than the killer does.
  • I would love a Scream chapter or Alien chapter.
  • Keep in mind dcs can happen unintentionally like bad rain storms and less than stellar connections etc. People shouldn’t be punished for those one offs.

Dc bonuses should be upped to 5000 bloodpoints for the affected side.

Chronic dc should result in a notice from the entity being displeased and when a purple or pink is used the entity takes it away. Not only that but their auras are revealed for 13 seconds. Survivors must do an extra gen per survivor under penalty (trap door is unusable for those affected - if there’s one unlucky survivor who got matched with 3 dcs they only need 2 gens done like normal.) Killers under penalty are punished with the entity completing 1.5 generators and the entity showing random kindness by giving borrowed time to a would be dying survivor.

And chronic dc is met with an immediate 75% reduction in blood points earned until they complete enough games. They are also exempt from offerings and blood hunts that reward extra points.
  • Having played through most killers, sparky boi and mud gremlin mean the most to me. I love Mikey and I think with practice I could learn to enjoy the nurse, but I am definitely a Doctor main.
  • In my experience, when people see doctor they tend to be a lot more lax about making their positions known.
  • Make Your Choice should either have a smaller range because so many survivors follow you and lurk until you leave or outright taunt you right in front of the hook OR the rescuer (who should have their own NM or broken symbol for the duration) not only gets exposed but immediately loses a hook stage upon getting hooked. Actually force those swf to think twice before getting cocky.

Spies from the Shadows should be reworked to actually show individual auras with a 100% guarantee on a 3/4/5 second duration.
  • Purple flannel for nurse should be built in to be quite honest. It’s kind of ridiculous it’s such an expensive add on. I think this would help new nurses ease into her more than enduring trials of failure. Even experienced nurses could use it for those times maps load in with random spots she can’t pass through.

I didn’t think about it before but I guess making survivors see imaginary pallets would be a good built in feature. Maybe instead order class I can make it appear the entity blocks vault points.
  • Consoles don’t have the Left for Dead guy.
  • Do what I do SoulBagel:

Help them when you can, but when the chips are down, just remember you can only count on yourself.

I also try my best to rescue a fellow survivor who genuinely had my back aka wasn’t trying to get me killed, especially if they got downed because they saved me. But that’s just my personal thing just trying to return the favor.
  • What happens to me is sometimes I’ll get the farmers but most of the time they will use me as a sacrificial lamb even if I went out of my way to help them.

“Eh who cares about that person, we’re okay.”
  • Overcharge is his best perk imo.

Combine it with a generator hex like Ruin or Lullaby and Unnerving Presence and it is truly evil.
  • Seriously!!!

Practically every time I play killer most of the time the survivors are pros with bloody shirts who literally run circles around me.

When I play survivor, if the killer doesn’t kill all 3 others in 2 minutes then it’s the other survivors who will sell you out, screw you over, and play for the hatch if gens get to 3.
  • I played Freddy with an offering and I really disliked how he was in the dream world. The dream world works for survivors because tbh they’re supposed to be lost and confused.

Tbh I feel like Freddy would fare better if the player just had a little decorative dream fog on the side of their screens to indicate it’s Freddy instead of placing him in the dream world.
  • Also there’s way too many jungle gyms and obstacles for the killer.

Like for Nurse, she’s supposed to teleport right? Yet I run into so many places where the game is just all “haha screw you.”

As for the rest, it’s just really exhausting playing tag around things that take some killers much longer than survivors to traverse. Like the dwelling that only has like one staircase to the generator on a building that feels like a million square feet. Or the tractor that survivors can see your position from and make you waste precious time.
  • I love Hag and Trapper for thinking strategically. I love using survivors’ knowledge against them.

But my personal favorite is the Doctor. I really enjoy being an oppressive force and laughing in the face of their screams. There’s just something about him that really scratches my itch as a killer. Unlike Nurse, I enjoy how Doctor requires the prediction without staring at the floor and I like how I can play the long game with him.
  • I relate to you. I’ve been playing Nurse for the adept trophy and it’s been SO hard. It really doesn’t help I somehow always manage to roll pro bloody survivors while whenever I’m a survivor, my brethren all get downed at gen number 4.
  • I feel like NM would be better if there wasn’t a giant sign over the user saying “TUNNEL ME” to the killer. At the very least it shouldn’t show up at the very beginning.

Maybe NM has a tiered timer for the beginning. Let’s say NM users are granted 10/15/20 seconds of being 100% silent before NM takes full effect and the killer becomes aware.
  • I only hit when

    1. I miss the altruistic survivor

    2. That survivor was a jerk or had ds

So, you think disconnecting and stop doing gens is the way the game is meant to play?

    You’re misunderstanding what I’m saying.

I don’t disconnect or stop gens. The other survivors in my team do. And when I am playing killer, those survivors never show up and I get the pro swf team of Lauries and bloody Megs.
  • Um I never dc and love it when people are nice enough to use streamers.

I used a survivor pudding yesterday with that and i got 140k bp. Sent the group a thank you.
  • If I want to stay alive, Nurse because most players on PS4 don’t know how to play her and so you’re more likely to live.

But i guess my favorite killer to play against might be Michael. He actually scares me and it’s fun trying to outplay him.

I love PLAYING the Doctor but against is a bag of mixed feelings. I love him but also as a natural stealth player he’s the bane of my existence.

I don’t know how you play against Freddy. He always puts me to sleep.

But tbh I think Pig might take the cake only because every time I’ve played against her, she tunnels her bear trap victims. Like you can’t even play the Game, and its hard getting bp against her once she focuses you.
