No he is borderline op now. If the add on was considered must run then that means it was insanely good on him so making it base kit is not a good idea
Wraith without Windstorm was really weak, and WITH Windstorm he was only a bit more viable, but still very worse than the average killer. Do you not know how to play against basic M1 killers?

I’m not an expert at balance changes but I would revert the buff he got and make it so when he unlcoaks there is no sound at all so he can surprise survivors. Make him more of a stealth and surprise you killer instead of a killer that is gonna run around super fast and m1 you.
That would basically make him a worse Ghostface. No thanks.

As I said give him a different buff. The speeds at which killers move should almost ever be touched at all and yet they mad wraith so ridiculously fast that you can almost never get away from him on any map outside of maps like the game, haddonfield, and lerys.
...they literally gave him an add-on that was considered a must-run to his base-kit. Nothing much about him changed, he's just slightly more viable now.
-
Head On takes skill to use, you need to predict where the killer is going in order to use it. It's pretty much a meme tbh, it's not the best perk but it's a decent yet fun perk. It's inconsistent sometimes.
-
Bruh the Wraith buff is something all of us have asked for, leave the poor bing bong boi alone, he's finally getting his time to shine.

I don't see how trapper could see a rework, I would like to see him buffed beyond bag basekit however, I'd like to see more about his traps being able to be used in different ways OR even allowing him to trap objects internally (I.E chests and totems)
Logwood Dye being base-kit would also be pretty cool.

PICKLE RICK

It's good, but needs one more change.
Reduce the timer to 30 seconds, but freeze the timer when you're getting chased. This is what happens with Lucky Break after you heal back up, the timer freezes. This is essentially a buff to DS anti-tunnel wise.

Imagine if they buffed trapper to have two traps base kit. I bet some people would say some of his add-ons are very strong too.
oh god

Try re-reading what I said, I never said killers adapted to a broken perk, survivors did.
My bad, but respond to what I said before that please.

I'm unsure of the point you're trying to make? If someone says someone got better at doing something it would imply their skills have improved, I just pointed out that people always say it takes no skill and though it was funny.
That doesn't mean their skills improved, it just means survivors got smarter and learned how to use it in different situations. Also you said killers adapted to a broken perk, what perk are you talking about?
-
@Seanzu said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2154966#Comment_2154966
I mean I love dead hard, think it's a great perk and enjoy going against it, but everyone says it takes no skill so why are people saying others got better at using it.
Killers also cry that "survivor don't adapt" yet they adapted a broken perk to make it work for them, seems fine to me.
Because people learned how to use it in better scenarios. Your point?

How do you get better at something that takes no skill?
What you just said has nothing to do with anything.
Not many people used DH as an advantage for making distance in loops back then, it's different today.
-
If you're in need of easy bloodpoints, Legion is the better choice. Plus, Legion is a lot easier compared to Slinger. Slinger is overall a better killer, but is a lot more difficult to pick up.

CoD, Siege, Apex are all worse than DBD too
Yep, thanks for expanding onto that. DBD's community ain't shiz compared to those titans.
-
So, are we just going to treat these forums as only a place to vent about DBD now?
This game's community is nothing compared to LoL, Overwatch and CSGO, just saying.
If you don't have fun with DBD anymore, move onto another game. You've clearly grown out of it.
-
I'm scared that if DH gets nerfed, survivors will end up playing it safe by pre-dropping and holding shift + W.
-
I like it here to be honest, it's a nice place to relax and talk about DBD.
Sometimes I get uncomfortable around here, but that won't stop me from staying here. Maybe, perhaps.
-
Neither imo

Doesn't matter what Op is implying, killers just want easy games. It's all they want out of mmr, proven by the complaining when bhvr did their test.
Huh???
Why are you saying all killers want easy games? I'm a killer main and I prefer a challenge.
-
@GannTM said:
Meg is awesome and deserves the amount of mains she has. I do wish Yui had more mains though.
Ditto.
-
Meg: Usually everyone's first survivor, considering all of her perks are good.
Nea: No0b3
Feng: She's cute and attracts most gamers. Also she's a gamer girl.
Claudette: Same as Meg, except people (including me) thought Self-Care was a good perk. Bot and Empathy are pretty decent though. Also she has the darkest clothing, so that's a plus.
-
I don't recall OP ever implying they wanted an easy game. Could you fill me in on this?

To put it in a more modern sense then, people still complain about other M1 killers like Ghostface and Clown.
If they complain about those killers then they're bad at the game because they're pretty balanced. Unless it's about how fun it is to play against them, or the reveal mechanic being bs.
-
Hell yeah.
-
Judging from the title I assumed this would be a thread about looping.
I'm a weirdo.

Looks like someone wasn't around during year 1
In their defense, people weren't experienced at the game back then, so they probably thought Trapper and Wraith were mega OP.
-
Here's my take:
It's a lot different to yours. If PH's version was the PTB version, easy S-tier, that one was WAY better. It had more Silent Hill energy.
Also, even though Twins, Doc, and Myers are the lowest ones, they're still really good! They're just not as good as the others, but they still bop, a lot.
-
An elemental-based killer would be #########' cool but I'm not sure how it'd work. Wait, I GOT IT.
Maybe an ice one can freeze generators, and survivors will have to push on the levers on the generator in order to break the ice for like 5 seconds for repairing. A simple slowdown ability.
Actually, not just generators, but interactable objects in general. Instead of doing what generators require, these ones just take slightly longer. Chests, totems, hooks, hell, maybe even pallets. Frozen pallets can be done once in a while by charging up the ability somehow, and then interacting with a pallet (for the killer only) and then making it non-interactable for survivors.
Now for fire, maybe the ability to burn breakable walls and thrown-down pallets with a flamethrower. The flamethrower can probably remove health states, and would be similar to Trickster's laceration. I'm not sure what else, though.

play legion with barbecue and survivor pudding. 90k bp per game my guy
Blight and Trickster are also surprisingly good for farming bloodpoints.
You get a good amount of bloodpoints from lethal rush hits which also rewards you with hit points, and you get 1k bloodpoints from getting a supreme combo with trickster, and points from combos in general with hit points. Oh and Blight gets good value outta BBQ.
-
Although it's damn satisfying to get so many bloodpoints after a relaxing killer match, I don't play killer for bloodpoints unless I really need them, I play it to relax and have fun.

Plot twist: Nancy keeps the bones in her pocket and eats them in lockers.
-
All it did was make an add-on that was considered a must-run on Wraith base-kit. He's the same exact killer, with the new ability to run other add-ons while being somewhat viable at the same time.
-
It's pretty much confirmed to be this Tuesday. The tome trailer says it's releasing on May 5th, which is the day after this Tuesday.
-
I think the mods deserve a big thanks from all of us for all of the hard work they've done to keep this forum safe.
-
I would say Blight but you play on console so nvm.
Maybe Bubba, he's relaxing and quite easy on console. Or Wraith. Or even GF (I was wrong about him, he's fun.)
-
'Nuff said.

@Ethelwulf said:
You see people mocking the killer when they win and make him lose and derank, and you didn't realize it was rude?
Are you dense?
"made him lose and derank"
That's the killer's fault for losing, play better next game or if the survivors were equipped with 4 BNPs then it's not really their fault and they should move onto the next game. I'm not saying it's right to teabag at the exit gates, it's scummy, but not everyone is aware of teabagging in the online gaming community. And no need to name-call people, absolutely unnecessary in this scenario.

What do you mean by 3.0.0?
The mod in the video uses the dev build. The dev build is on version 3.0.0, and features a very unfinished version but playable version of Ghostface. Not sure if I'm allowed to talk about that here, but if it's not allowed I am fine with having this comment deleted.

Trapper and twins. I wanna see what happens if victor steps in a bear trap.
If it were an official gamemode, Victor would probably activate the bear trap, get crushed, and the player will go back to Charlotte until he respawns.
-
Sadly it'd only be possible for 3.0.0 killers and under.
For 3.0.0 killers, I'd choose Billy and Trapper. If a survivor gets trapped, Billy can speed up to it!
If I could use any killer combo, I'd probably choose... Legion + Freddy, Freddy places snares in loops, pressures gens, and Legion injures everyone and gets downs with the support of Freddy's snares.
Now if I were to be going for fun, of course... Trapper + Trickster! Odd choice, I agree.

looks terrible on switch, pretty much can only play survivor because you lose survivors so easy as killer because the game looks blurry
looks fine on literally anything else
except for probably mobile and possible google stadia but never played those so cant say
Mobile looks good tbh, and Stadia probably looks fine. However, Switch could really use 720p and maybe a brighter environment for older Switch models (I have the launch Switch model).
