It looks even goofier when he walks without his weapon.

Yep that's exactly what I want 2 traps as a default longwood applied as a default trapper without the bags is bad
I ran out of Trapper bags.

Just a small buff he doesn't need a rework
Honestly I'd be fine if his Trapper Sack becomes base-kit, though I would love for Logwood Dye to be base-kit as well because of how much these map reworks are screwing him over.

@glitchboi Next time sluzzy &/or lord_tony posts we’ll make one post to warn all of what they’re getting in to. Their smurfs/alts included
Good idea.

I’m tired of the division that people like him & sluzzy cause. The best thing to do: ignore him & sluzzy. let them both talk to themselves In The replys. They both feed off attention & it’s time to starve them both of it.
I wish it were that easy, but people will still reply because of their unawareness of who they are. Best we could do is make a post signaling everyone to stop giving them attention, but that's probably not allowed on here and the post will probably not get traction.

Being honest Oni always had a better snowball potential then Billy as well due to said control/no wall bumps/AoE attacks/Faster instant downs while Billy was more consistant then Oni.
Yep.
-
Please.
I get that Billy was just a "better Oni" but Oni still has tracking potential and lots of other things in his kit Billy doesn't have. Plus Oni has better turning. There was absolutely no point in changing Billy's base-kit. Please bring back old Billy (but don't bring his old add-ons back, they were scuffed).

She looks a lot more atmospheric and clean. I like it. Also lovin' the new hair.
I won't main Meg but I will admire her updated model.

Tbh billy right now is not that great, he's not bad by any means and C tier is a bit of a over exaggeration but I can understand where he's coming from.
Billy, just like myers, without any addons with new overheat get severly overshadowed by newer killers like Oni or Blight. They just do things he does significantly better.
Imo they should make overheat into a risk mechanic insted of a punishment. The higher it gets (50%, then at 75%) you start to get bonuses like increased chainsaw speed, charge etc or all together. That way you on purpose increase your overheat to get a chance at crazy plays with better stats and if survivors manages to outplay you, you fully overheat and go on massive cooldown.
That would make overheat actually fun mechanic for both sides insted of unnecessary annoyance.
That would actually make Billy a lot more fun and interesting, I'm down.
-
Congrats on the pin!

I hate to admit it but Billy was not balanced anymore yes I admit he was a great killer and fun to verse but his addons were ridiculous and when Oni came out the devs realized he was outdated cause Michael has to build up his power Oni had to collect his power and blight has to wait for his rush tokens to come back. But with Billy he has all of that from the start no cooldown no power buildup he gets that ######### straight from the start. Imagine if Oni started the game with blood fury activated and it was forever
Are you implying Billy was fine, but only some of his add-ons were unbalanced? If so, then I completely agree. The Overheat mechanic is still braindead tho.

Placebo Tablet is now basekit aswell as Adrenaline Vial and he is now a 4.0 movement speed killer
I'm scared.
-
I agree with him sorta, C-tier is kind of a stretch so I'd put him at the lowest of B-tier.
His power used to be awesome, but now it's so damn stressful to play around with to the point you'll probably have a mental breakdown while overheating.
@NoLonEbalons said:
I swear they will either nerf Blight or Hag in Midchapter 20. Calling it and mark my words!
Mid-chapter 20: Blight now has only 3 charges in his kit!
-
Easily Quentin, and maybe Laurie. Of course it would be difficult to rework these two because of their licenses (I'm aware the actor of Quentin wants his character fixed).

To clarify:
With the newest chapter they buffed the RNG on his traps so survivors are less likely to escape on their first attempt.
About a year ago they gave him the ability to reset his traps on the ground without picking them up.
Just before that they improved his traps so tbey don't move when they're set off.
Before that they took away survivors' ability to dismantle his traps so they're unavailable for 3 minutes.
Way before that they drastically improved the speed at which Trapper picks up and sets his traps.
They've also updated Slippery Meat and have planned changes to Small Game to make them not affected by bear traps.
There's probably more buffs that I'm forgetting, but that's a quick recap.
He still needs changes, the buffs he got are nice but he is still very underpowered. The Small Game and Slippery Meat reworks were indirect buffs to him, and no one really used those perks.
Also the pick-up and trap setting speeds were the buffs in 2018 I was talking about.
-
@TheWarNung said:
Trapper has been buffed many many times, most recently about a month ago.
That wasn't really a buff, it was more of a rework of his trap RNG. It sort of hinders him too, considering they will always get out in under 7 times. Otherwise it was definitely necessary. The last major buff Trapper got was the rework in 2018, which also reworked Hag.

It was posted on twitter by the devs after Crypt TV stated that the "cat was out of the bag, @Deadbybhvr wanna tease it?"
Oh whoops, the pose looked like Trickster. Still looks really cool tho.
-
I'm hoping he gets buffed or reworked the next mid-chapter.
-
The first one is Trickster, I assume? It's my favorite one.
-
Jeffs, Steves, Kates and Zarinas are pretty cool for some reason.
Most of the others are neutral the way I see it.
Neas, Claudettes, and Cheryls are quite the odd ones, however. In a bad way.

Yeah, tbh Speed Limiter Bubba feels like an entirely different killer, especially with Iridescent Flesh, and it's pretty damn fun.

I miss the old Freddy, straight from the 'go Freddy.

From my point of view, I see crutch perks in a different way. Spine Chill is a pretty healthy perk that helps survivors be aware of their surroundings. Crutch perks are moreso second chance perks, like old DS, Dead Hard, NOED, and even Unrelenting (it gives killers a second chance to hit a survivor if they miss, however it is a healthy perk because it was made for beginners). Adrenaline isn't crutch because it rewards survivors for completing their objectives, giving them a chance to escape the trial a lot more easily.

Nooo, Dead Hard is easy to bait out. Head On is impossible--you don't even know if the survivor is in the locker! I don't have the time of day to check every locker before I carry a survivor. I'm getting genrushed enough as it is!
okay nvm thank god you were trolling
-
I like BBQ better on him because of bloodpoints and my hidden portals.

Have you seen Head On? There are so many lockers on the map. Survivors could be hiding in any one of them, and they can stun you while carying a survivor if you walk past the one they are in.
Wait I thought you were joking.
The likeliness of getting stunned by Head On while carrying a survivor is 1/100. Survivors who actually managed to do that played pretty well tbh
-
Wait, I thought spacebar was to jump.

Funny thing is that having it activate automatically would be a huge nerf. Killers would wait right before you can throw the pallet to swing causing you to dart past the pallet and allowing the killer to body block it before you can go back to throw it.
It's funny how a automatic miss is weaker then a meter distance whenever you want it but it just is in this game
Maybe they could make it so it doesn't go towards one direction, giving more control for the survivor.
-
Honestly the DBD dev team is pretty good, designers are amazing with cosmetics, lore, character design, gameplay, etc.
No offense to the balancers, I think they're really nice people but they could really do better.

I say just put it on a token system. 3 tokens that can possibly be used consecutively (I haven't decided which is best yet) After the tokens are consumed they permanently have the exhaustion status effect and can't be used if already exhausted
I feel like this change makes it more skill based.
That could work too, maybe.

please, don't tell me that wraith is high tier now, I'm begging you, I read enough about that Meg
I mean, I'm kinda glad people see Wraith as OP now. Bing-bong man is finally getting the love he deserves.
I do think he's on the other half of the weaker killers, leaning towards a C+ tier though. He's got heavy counterplay (flashlight stuns particularly) including countered by shack looping and is pretty weak against strong loops, mainly those with high walls.
-
I'm not sure about this one, it seems kind of odd. How about just make it an instant-activation perk that activates when a killer lunges at the survivor at a particular distance without needing to press anything, and counterable by going close to the survivor and hitting them?
Just make it one-time use and bam, you got yourself a balanced version of DH!
-
Honestly they should just remove the FOV part of the perk, rework Shadowborn, and then add a god-forsaken FOV slider.
-
Distressing is okay-ish if you have no other perks and are in need of bloodpoints. Plus the terror radius induction doesn't really do much since he can just get rid of his terror radius at will. Other than that, mediocre perk that you should never use unless you are running a meme build (such as skill check Doc or super detection Legion) or a bloodpoint farming build. Even then, it's pretty ineffective for bloodpoint farming.

That could ruin the game buffing killers who don't need buffs
I meant like enhancing their kits, like giving them base-kit Corrupt Intervention or an early-game collapse or something.
-
No, instead they should buff solo queue to be as powerful as SWF by giving them a comms system (not voice chat, Scott Jund made a video on this but I can't find it), and then give all killers buffs to top it off.

Well it is pretty obvious to tell when survivors are using breakdown as well.
Pretty much. Considering that no one really used Breakdown unless they were going for adept Jeff, it wouldn't really be that difficult to ban people for abusing the Breakdown bug.
-
Not defending the devs, but to be fair the Legion bug was pretty obvious to tell when they were doing it.
-
Trapper tried to help people that were being abused by his father, but eventually lost his sanity after the torment his father put him through and became the Trapper we all know and love.
I sorta forgot Wraith's lore because of the Archives but he's definitely sympathetic.
Hillbilly was inbred and was treated as an outcast, his parents locked him in a room where he'd do nothing but eat the stuff his parents gave him, eventually killing his parents, feeding his father to pigs alive, and living on his own.
Nurse grew insane after being treated horribly at work, and went on a genocide on her patients.
Huntress had to see her mother die at the age of 7, she grew up with the mind of a 7-year-old and thought what she did for little girls were right. She was also a target of soldiers.
Hag was kidnapped, painfully mutilated and eaten alive.
Bubba wasn't necessarily a bad person, he was just misguided and manipulated by his family, and practically forced to cannibalism. And the Entity manipulating him even more makes it worse.
Spirit was bullied at school and tried to avenge her mother after her father (who was possessed) killed her. While she did kill people (I think?), it was justified because it was self-defense.
Joey and Susie are unarguably the most sympathetic of the Legion, especially after seeing the Archive cutscene featuring them. Seems like they were very hesitant, and were only manipulated by Frank. Julie only looked up to him, but seeing as she sadistically killed that cashier in the Archive cutscene, I don't have sympathy for her at all.
Plague tried to bring hope and help others, but failed to due to the virus that she and her followers contracted unintentionally.
Demogorgon is easy to control and manipulate, it was controlled by the Mind Flayer and is now being controlled by the Entity, as shown by one of its cosmetics. It was only a predator and that's about it, and... I was going to mention something else but I don't want spoilers on here, sorry. All I can say though, can these deities give it a break? Poor Demo.
Oni actually cared about his family, and people called him names which made him angry.
Deathslinger wanted vengeance for his father that died, and chose to kill his bullies. Also, people tried to take credit for his work.
Blight became addicted to serum, but he was only trying to save killers (and survivors?) from the Entity's grasp, only ending up turning them into monsters by complete accident, and eventually the Entity turned him into the Blight we all know and love.
I haven't read Twins' lore yet, never really got attached to it.
IMO the most sympathetic character out of these guys is Bubba, he's just too much of an idiot and doesn't realize what he does is wrong. Plus he was manipulated by his family, and only wanted to protect them.
-
Damn, this is really good! Posts like this deserve more attention. I'm still surprised Persona was one of the options in the DBD survey a week ago. Tho Unshaken Will seems a little too powerful. Other than that, very creative!
-
Incredible usage of both bottles, chaining bottles is a great strategy and I like how you were able to cover entire loops with purple gas. Also using your antidotes during actions like damaging gens and pallets is really smart.

Steam and Stadia already have it and Switch is supposed to be getting it in the next 3 months.
as for other consoles, they have stated they can’t confirm or deconfirm it so they are very likely negotiating with Sony and Microsoft.
Yeah, I'm excited for Switch cross-progression. I wanna play DBD with my PC progress on the go.
-
Finally, the good Bill mains can finally shine! Well, I don't main Bill, but maybe I... haha just kidding... unless...?
-
They announced it for Switch, and that's about it. Steam and Stadia already have it I believe.
-
It'd also be cool to be able to carry Second Wind tokens. For example, heal a survivor to 85% for 1 token, up to 2 tokens. Each token is consumed after you are unhooked, and does the 20 second heal timer thing.
-
It's an incredible perk that gives you time to setup, get downs at the start of the game, and prevent gen rushing.
-
Wat.
I don't know why, but I want this.
