I honestly don't get how that was confusing. One person complains about sexual orientation, I point out that it's been here since the Nurse was released.
I apologize, I'm just a bit tired today and my brain isn't working as intended.

Pretty sure Orion just meant the inclusion of sexuality at all. In the case of Nurses original story, heterosexuality.
she was deeply in love with her husband and they wanted to have children.
now when people ask for LGBTQ+ to be treated the same as heterosexuality, somehow sexuality doesn’t have a place in this game anymore..
OOOH, that explains it. Thanks.

- The person I replied to was complaining about sexual orientations not being relevant for gameplay.
- I pointed out that the Nurse has had hers revealed since her release.
I'm not sure what the confusion here is.
I'm just confused about how the Nurse was related to the whole thing.

The likely starting point for the nurse's mental health going into terminal decline was the death of her husband. If we all agree that sexuality and relationships have no place in a game like dbd it'll have to be rewritten, maybe she went mad when her coffee machine broke instead or something. Seems a bit lees engaging to me but sometimes we have to pay a high price to get the politics outta vidya games.
That's an interesting point.

Who mentioned the archive? I'm talking about the Nurse's original lore, the one she launched with. It mentions her husband and her desire for a big family. None of that has to do with gameplay, obviously, but nobody spoke up back then.
Oh. I thought big family meant like having children, not polyamory. My bad.

Dunno, but the devs already started down that path with the Nurse, so we're kinda stuck with it now. 🤷♂️
It's too bad you didn't speak up back then, could've prevented this whole thing.
Wait, I haven't read Nurse's archive lore yet. What happened there?

Jeff is bae, no homo.

Uhh, it doesn't really seem deadly to me. The only good perk there is Starstruck. Don't expect to catch survivors with Distressing. Also BBQ isn't really necessary on Doc unless you want bloodpoints.
I'd replace the other 3 with Agitation, Ruin, and either Undying or Pop or just any perk of your choice. Doc can force people off gens and totems with Static Blast, making Ruin pretty good on him.

Uhh I was being sarcastic? It’s literally used by tons of “top DBD” players who are competing for money. It’s basically used on every killer that isn’t nurse.
I think it’s really cheesy but to call it weak? That’s a bit crazy.
It gives you the option to spend literally 5 gens killing 1 person and still win the game. If the survivors scrape into the endgame with 2-3 people left it’s condemning. At the worst it’s a totally free kill most of the time.
Sure you don’t need it, but if skill based matchmaking was implemented I’m sure you would see it all the way up to rank 1 quite often. The game is designed for survivors to make it to the endgame.
The sarcasm wasn't obvious enough to me, apologies. I didn't know tourney players used it either, wow. My bad.

Did you ever consider Haunted Grounds over Crowd Control? Ruin will force them to look for totems. If they pop haunted grounds first they get exposed and auras are revealed for 10s due to Retribution. If Undying was still up, I think you get a 2nd Haunted Ground
I personally prefer not using HG on Bubba because he already has built-in insta-down and I don't have trouble with using his chainsaw. I think HG + Retribution is a great combo for M1 killers, though.
-
Only ways to beat that strat is by using a flashlight to get rid of traps, and a key to escape the 3-gen.
-
This is an interesting build tbh. Only issue is that Legion will still struggle a bit in actual chases, but other than that it seems pretty fun.
-
Spirit, Twins, Hag, and Trapper could use some reworks to make them fun to play against while still being scary killers. Weak doesn't necessarily mean fun to play against, which is why I placed Trapper there.
Otherwise, leave 'em be, I guess.
-
I don't really like her tbh, she's kinda boring to play as but her concept is really cool. I respect Twins players though.

My main reasoning was that against good survivors you're either not going to get anyone marked before they expose you or they're going to just outloop you before you can down them if they're marked. Marking good survivors is also so dependent on the rng of the map tiles that spawn. Some maps will spawn really good tiles for maintaining cover while you approach and for providing a good angle for stalking from peeking around a corner but more often than not you won't get those good tiles on a lot of maps. Autohaven has a lot of good tiles for him but a lot are awful.
For this reason it's best to save shroud for mindgaming in chase and building up as much pressure as possible by using perks that double as his power and when used in a combo put pressure on survivors. Tremors and starsruck together put pressure on survivors, whereas on their own they're kind of meh. Dark devotion and MYC together give you an edge so you don't need shroud for getting downs, and those two combos together can put tremendous pressure on survivors and can tilt them since if you start to snowball them you've effectively doubled or tripled your base abilities which are stealth and one shotting. It's all about putting pressure n survivors in ways they're not used to.
It's about how they all work together in combination.
Ruin is always a toss up but is definitely strong, but survivors also know how to deal with it. Pop/opression is a good meta combo too but I'm trying to think outside the meta a bit.
I see. Non-meta builds, I can sense big D energy rn. I respect ya.
I suppose Starstruck is a great choice in that case, but I'm quite neutral on Dark Devotion and MYC. You can combine Starstruck w/ Agitation if you want.
Haunted Ground + Retribution is a pretty good combo tbh, might work well with GF's stealth. Survivor cleanses 1/2 of the HG totems, Retribution pops and shows the auras of everyone, cloak into stealth mode, then WHACK a survivor down.
Surge is also a pretty good perk for gen-regression. And Mindbreaker punishes survivors for forgetting to wipe after shitting themselves when they see you stalking them. Bitter Murmur and Rancor are also decent non-meta perks that allow tracking (Use one of the two). Also if GF is in stealth mode his aura won't show to the obsession with Rancor. Not sure about Murmur though.
Aaand that's bout all I've got tbh. Good luck!

I mean love it or hate it NOED is a good perk, certainly better than dark devotion. It’s not spammed in tournaments because it’s bad.
No real point in using crouch speed addons over recovery. Especially if you are doing the lazy mans mindgames with shroud. I personally moonwalk anyways out of habit even if I’m undetectable.
If you hardly plan on stalking, wraith is just straight up better than ghostface at this point. Like, way better.
And thrilling is not “throwing people off objectives” it’s just a tool to figure out where to go next. By the time you hook whoever you picked up it’s usually half way over.
Sloppy butcher is probably his best snowball perk and you will get value every game instead of using finicky 1 shot perks that are significantly better to use on wraith.
I mean love it or hate it NOED is a good perk, certainly better than dark devotion. It’s not spammed in tournaments because it’s bad.
You said it was good then you said it was bad. Wut.
NOED in general is a mediocre perk and is heavily situational, it's just annoying to go against but eh who cares. NOED is only good for beginner players imho unless you're running an endgame build.

I honestly don't know for this one. I think it seems weak on paper. You are going at a slower speed and have to know when to commit with your power. Good pyramid head players are always sticking their knife in the ground when survivors go to certain areas and this addon would severely limit when you could use POTD.
Sure, it can insta down people, but you might not even get to use it that often. Then there is the problem of it only working in chases which I assume you said that because it would encourage camping, but now you have to start a chase with a survivor as a 110% killer. The counterplay would be to break LOS and then wait for him to hit you while walking. You would take a hit, but not instantly go into the dying state
Then there is the problem of chases ending (since you are a 110% killer especially) when you are still running after a survivor.
So overall, it would be sort of a gimmick, like Billy's tuned carburetor.
That is a good point. I suppose the only way to make it viable is to make it so it has a 16-meter range, but make it non-stackable, I guess.
-
Thrilling is a great perk, I'd keep it, and Starstruck is a bit situational and considering GF can already insta-down by default he doesn't really need it. Starstruck is better for killers that can't necessarily insta-down, like Wraith, Nurse, Clown, and Slinger. Also MYC and Devotion seems pretty obsolete because as I said, insta-down. Oh and stealth power.
I would use Corrupt and Pop + Surge/Oppression or Ruindying, and maybe BBQ to replace Thrilling if you want tho I prefer Thrilling unless you want those bloodpoints. Nurse's is also a great choice.
Also I don't recommend crouch-speed add-ons, recovery add-ons or faster mark add-ons are a lot better for GF.
-
I run a Hex build on Bubba and it's pretty fun. Ruin, Undying, Crowd Control, and Retribution. I don't think I ever recall losing with that build yet.
Oh and for survivor, Hunch, DH because I suck at chases, Windows of Opportunity, and Any Means Necessary. AMN and WoP is a pretty good combo tbh.
-
I like these ideas.
An idea I have for Obsidian Goblet is an insta-down add-on. I know I know, it probably sounds dumb, lazy, and broken, but hear me out:
An ancient looking goblet carved from pure obsidian.
- Rites of Judgement can no longer be cancelled during chases.
- Survivors hit by Punishment of the Damned are put into the Dying State during chases.
- Reduces The Executioner's base Movement speed to 4.4 m/s
The idea of this add-on is to reward Pyramid Heads for landing their Rites of Judgements without cancelling it. However, this removes his ability to zone by cancelling his Rites of Judgement and lowers his speed down to 4.4m/s, which pretty much changes some of his gameplay. Whaddya think?
-
Easily Spirit, as Freddy already got hammered to the ground, and Nurse's skill floor rewards her players with power. Spirit is just too easy to play as, does not have consistent counterplay, and she is WAY too powerful. She's not stronger than Nurse, but the fact that anyone can pick her up, a killer who is almost as powerful as Nurse, is pretty ridiculous to me.

In my tests, this perk simply turns Good Skill Checks into Great Skill Checks. And the description "ranting an additional Progression bonus of 1%." should be ignored. This means that this perk also works for healing and gives 5% additional progress. Here is an article on Skill Checks. That is, 1% extra progress when repairing a generator is just Great Skill Checks without a perk.
It gives an extra 1% for great skill checks, which is 2% in total for repairs and 6% in total for healing.

I think Cigar Box is too strong of an add-on to give to his kit.
My ideas are as followed:
- Make the bottle count of Tonics and Antidotes separate, basically allowing you to use an antidote without wasting any tonics.
- Buff his invigorated speed boost by 5%, making it 15% by default
Aaaand that's about all I've got.

Well I spent most of my time instead of doing school work to instead write these two pages. I hope you all enjoy and this one starts off differently then before since I will edit the last page where Julie was instead dragged off, and have that excerpt done sorta off screen. But I want to thank all of you, this has been an amazing bit to write and I hope you all enjoy @Beelzeboop , @QwQw , @glitchboi , @GoobyNugget , here you guys go.
Elliot nearly wanted to vomit of remembering Penny, he felt nauseous as the bits of what was left of his sub nearly came out if it hadn't already. " Okay just get out of here, she's no one." Elliot lied He never felt so sick, and shocked, sure Julie got what she deserved he believed that but he expected a bit more vial end. Instead, she was dragged off, and out of the room. It felt like an eternity before Elliot could muster the strength to exit, but stopped realizing he needed a weapon. With his small trusty flashlight, returned it on. To his shock, there wasn't much in the janitor. He spotted a trench shovel, he walked over to pick it up. " Has a bit of heft, it'll do".
He exited the closet. " Oh Lord in heaven." He squinted at the rotten guts of the Rhodies. The smell was worse like rotten eggs but he could almost taste it as well. Suddenly another aroma, caught his attention, one he was to familiar with. "Smoke". He coughed as he saw a decent vapor of it leave through a door in a room down the hall, Elliot exited the room where there were a bunch of broken down bits of wood and saw a trail of smoke where Julie was dragged off, he could hear commotion inside the room . Elliot covered his mouth as there were noises of struggle were made clear, he could here Julie screaming for her life, it brought him memories of Penny.
He remembered her, Penny Hewitt a beautiful and kind woman. She wasn't as drop dead gorgeous as the girls in the magazines were, but unlike them she was real, and the only woman that Elliot truly loved. Elliot tried not to shed a tear, but he still coughed at the smoke that was in the air. Suddenly the sounds of struggle stopped, he heard the stomping of the floor as the Furnace thing marched out of the room. It moaned as its molten orange glow beamed in the smoke like area. Elliot held to what was left of his breath, it was suffocating, he felt like he was in a small box and if he moved something would happen.
The Furnace thing, marched around the area, with its ax in its right hand. The chains rattled with every step, they were like ringing bells. The monsters eyes were like a lighthouse that pierced the smoke. Elliot wanted to fight this thing, but apart of him told not to. He didn't even know what the hell this thing is, an idea popped in his head. I just need to get out of here, maybe I can break one of the windows and hop out, there wasn't a window in that room, what about the one behind.... Elliot thought. He stopped realizing that to know for sure there was window, he would have to sneak past the monster. He inhaled the bad air, and began to make his way to the room.
Elliot quietly crawled with his shovel in hand behind The Furnace thing, he dared not breathe, he dared not flinch. The monster towered over him as he was less than 10 feet away from it, as it marched, Elliot felt the floor shake slightly. He didn't dare to look at it, and wanted to pretend the monster didn't exist. Elliot noticed that this was the first time he felt this much heat since he arrived. For what felt like an eternity Elliot finally crawled past it, but then his shovel knocked into a metal sounding object that Elliot presumed, was a tin can. The noise echoed throughout the hall, and the Furnace Thing stopped.
His eyes widened, the hairs on his neck stood, as he began to shiver as he began to drip cold sweat. "Oh #########." Elliot whispered. He turned around and saw the Furnace Things' head turned and stared dead center at Elliot. He immediately stood up and pounded his feet against the floorboards as hard he could. The Furnace Thing began marching over to Elliot, its footsteps pounding against the floor. Elliot didn't look back as he ran straight for the door slamming it, and hoping there was a window. To his luck there was, and the now bloodied corpse of what happened to Julie as a large tear in her groin was made known.
Elliot with his shovel smashed against the glass, it shattered against the shovel. He peered out and saw a decent drop less then ten feet, suddenly a slam came against the door as a growl of the monster came from outside of it. With no choice Elliot hopped out cutting his leg in the process and landed on the ground outside of the town hall. He didn't care about the pain he wanted to live! Elliot stood up and was in awe of the town, it had changed all of it. " What the ######### is wrong with this town!?" He bellowed
The town no longer had only brick buildings, but building made up entirely of wood, some even sported a cross symbol. The streets now appeared run down and cobbled as blood and other liquid substances were splattered across the floors. The sky was brighter then before and had a greyish glow to it, as a group of goose flew across the sky chirping away. Elliots attention reverberated back at The Furnace thing as it roared loudly out of the room , it jumped out and landed near feet away from Elliot. " ######### you!" Elliot screamed as he swung his shovel at its head.
With one good whack the shovel smacked The Furnace thing across the head, and the monsters' head moved only a few inches, it didn't even stumble back. Elliot's eyes widened in fear , as it turned back to face him, in a flash it punched Elliot in the face, the blown sent him stumbling back and nearly falling over. The Furnace thing marched towards Elliot with ax in hand and raised it high to cleave him. But he quickly recovered as landed a blow at its chest this time it flinched back as it groaned. Elliot got up and shoved the shovel directly into its left breast, it cried in pan.
" Take that you fiery bastard!" He cried, the monster grabbed the handle to Elliot surprise, and began twisting the wooden handle breaking it. The Furnace thing grabbed the head of it out of its chest and through it to the ground, it growled and charged at Elliot. He tried to turn to the side but thing grabbed him by the beard and threw him forward to the floor , tearing at one of his hairs. Elliot cried in anguish, and raised his hands begging for mercy, but in a swift strike it landed directly on his stomach, as he felt what could be described was and extremely aching painful hit that burned tremendously.
"P-Penn...Y, help me." He futilly called for help for his former lover. From the wound a flame arouse setting both his clothes on fire but also him. Elliot screamed as his plastic boots melted at his feet combing them, his clothes joined in, his hair and beard lit a blaze as well. Elliot felt not only extreme pain, but also a great amount of rage, it was so great it shook his whole body. It felt like his soul was being torn apart, from the inside, he wish he could redo it all, make up what he did to Penny. Elliot felt guilt for what he'd done to Penny, as another wave of excruciating pain, the world began to go dark. The pain was still there only this time it intensified as he felt what was left of his strength shattered.
The Furnace thing lifted up the ax out of his stomach and began to walk off. Elliot by some miracle was still alive but not for longer. "P-Pen...ny, b..baby, I'm...so s-s-sorry." Elliot stuttered as tears enveloped his eyes. Elliot remembered when he had a deep love for Penny, he remembered how they met, the love they shared. However it was not meant to be for Elliot cared more about his drinking and other pleasantries then Penny, he left her only for her to contact him that she was pregnant. Elliot didn't want a child, nor did he want to pay for it, but knowing the fact that she worked at a church school he schemed to make sure she would get rid of the child. Elliot blackmailed her in aborting the child, or he will tell her boss that she was pregnant, the good sir wouldn't allow something like that allowed. Eventually Penny did abort the child, she grew depressed and committed suicide, leaving Elliot a loner. With one final breathe Elliot closed his eyes as he laid his on the ground, to be at peace, but in this town, he will never know peace...
You should probs work on your schoolwork now, seems like you worked really hard on this, well done! Also, poor Elliot, he didn't deserve that.
Wait, I WAS RIGHT ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED TO JULIE! I... I think?

It's bad that a survivor perk has to be bugged to even come close to the resemblance of the power of killer perks. Hopefully Breakdown is never fixed.

Nope, doctor mains have this community convinced he's balanced & low-mid tier when he's up there with Spirit & Hag. Watch any doctor gameplay and you'll see I'm right.
I agree, Doc is a crutch killer. He can end loops without limits, track survivors easily, and slow the game down. He moves at a WHOPPING 115% SPEED, which is more than enough to pressure the map. Also he has fake pallets I thought that was a Freddy thing. Doc is an uncounterable crutch killer and should be nerfed. Every good survivor knows this. Please nerf Doctor, too OP.
