A smart Hag that commits to a 3 gen is the most boring killer in DBD history but imo Spirit is a close second. No real interaction other than hoping they're an idiot.
Deathslinger is another one. The counterplay is more or less "pray you get a map with tons of high walls and hope they don't have a crosshair". I also don't understand why Trickster has a Huntress style hum but Slinger doesn't.

It really is. Praying for the day we get actual cross progression so I can enjoy Trickster. Hey, maybe by then he'll have something for mobility.
It's been a solid year since I moved to PC and still no news of Cross Progression for Xbox, I can understand why no PS because Sony is weird about it. But I refuse to believe MS said no. They aren't that type of company anymore.
Really miss my Rift 1-4 and shop cosmetics, I had a ton of them. Not to mention all those maxed out killers. Felt kind of cheated that Switch got it despite being released for significantly less time.
-
I can see how it can be kinda unfair.
There's nothing that pisses me off more than dodging plague's vomit so much that she just gives up and M1s you, only for her to vomit at you on hook. Kinda bs.
-
Neat.
Nice to see they're thinking of console players. Hopefully they can find some way of making Trickster playable on controller. From what I've heard it's a real trial in patience.
I only played against a Blight that actively admitted to J flicking once and while it was impressive it made playing against him not very fun and had no real counter unless you knew they'd go for it ahead of time.
-
Don't nerf her, rework her.
I don't want her nerfed to dirt I want her to be enjoyable to play against and take more than 2 brain cells to play.
-
Nope

Poorly designed killer user plays like scumbag in other news the sun rose today.

It's sad but that's how DBD is for both sides when faced with opponent that bring all the advantages to average match. It's not necessarily toxic to do so as long as they're not rubbing it into your face (which they are far more then not) but that's make it any less frustrating.
I usually quit for the day when I had a match like this. But I like DBD a lot overall so I always return and forget about the bad games and insted focus on the good ones.
True. The survivor equivalent is playing against a pubstomping god Nurse as a solo player.
-
No one actually uses his expose they just stack cooldown add ons and turn their brain off at loops with M2. His detection is also buggy and annoying.

Just got out of a match with 4 very good Survivors.
I was playing Demo, with a fun build and they took me to the Asylum. They managed all 5 gens in under 5 minutes. I got two downs.
They were extremely good. I lost fair and square and I accept that.
However, I felt like there was no possible way for me to win the match from the get-go. I even recorded it and went back and looked to see if I messed up anywhere. There wasn't a single thing that I could see that I did wrong.
I lost because I had no way to deal with what they brought to the table, nothing I could have done would have mattered.
They also taunted me the entire game, constant clicking, t-bagging, hovering ect ect. Got some fun and insulting messages post-game too. The one guy who was reasonable told me they were all together and he apologized for his friends, so that was nice.
But yeah, I'm thinking about quitting DBD for a bit after that one. Losing and feeling helpless and like nothing you did mattered is one thing, getting it rubbed in your face for 15 minutes after is another.
tl;dr ######### toxic people
Even if you think you didn't make mistakes I can absolutely 100% gaurantee you you did at some point. That said, Demo is one of the many killers that is extremely weak against an ogranised team/SWF.
Those matches are rare but they happen, don't let it get to you. Just drop a GG and move on.
-
They said laggy killers won't get hits they don't deserve anymore but I can attest that isn't true from the Chinese VPN Ghostface I just played against.

This made it a hard counter to Trapper, who's already pretty much trash because the Devs seem to have forgotten he exists & there's been power creep for Survivors. He does not need a perk to make his traps utterly useless.
While it was sad to see a perk I liked nerfed I agree with this. There's still maps that can counter them entirely too. they should go.
-
Egg on my face I guess. Though I'm still not seeing anyone else cleansing. I guess thats a side effect of the Undying rework. No ones cleansing dulls because there's 0 threat to them now.

@Seanzu said:
The totem counter counts up if someone else does a totem as well, so if you have done 3 totems and someone else has done two it will show 5 on the perk.
If the perk only shows 3 then you know there are 2 totems left.
Is that so? I guess I've just been getting really unlucky with teammates. Been running it all day today and yesterday and have yet to see it go up outside of my totem cleanses.
Fair enough, I'm wrong. I feel like the fact I made this thread says more about solo queue players than the perk.

I noticed that too. I assume its just a royalty free one or from a sound library

Technically.
You can't beat Michael's T3 lunge or his fast vault..
Makes any filler pallet unsafe against him due to the fact he can just lunge halfway on one side and finish his lunge on the pallet.
It's still strong. that would've changed the pace of the match if he was Michael so to say,
Not exactly, his early game is much worse than Trickster who can immediately jump into a chase, micheal is at the mercy of 3rd person cameras and high walls until he gets his T2. And then he's just trapless trapper.
-
@Jmang1245 said:
I mean, what are you guys thinking? Hide Somewhere so it wastes one of the killers perks and denies them pressure in the early game.
Works in solo, not swf. Say one survivor gets found when it still has a minute left.
Congratulations, now the killer has a hook and you have zero gen progress.
-
If their first reaction to losing badly is to quit and not try and improve killer gameplay simply isn't for them.

Was hoping someone would point that out and since spoilers were already warned in title: yep.
I was so sad and disappointed at how quickly Lady D and her daughters are beaten. I get that there's 4 lords and she's only a quarter of them, but still. She was so integral to PR that I thought they'd do more with them.
Overall I enjoyed the game, probably because it tried so hard to be RE4.2. That said, I only watched the original trailer and ignored all the press so I was shocked with how early they were killed off.
Game goes full House of the Dead in the 2nd half.
-
Problem with Killer emblems is that the hook counts one and Gatekeeper are technically controlled by the survivors.
-
Remove overheat, the add on change was fine. I miss playing against Billy.

I say this on all of these thread but it has to be said:
The doctor is a noobstomper because of his detection/constant chases but is only average against better players due to his lack of mobility and lethality.
This. A good Doctor isn't going to tunnel an injured/Madness 3 player off hook. He's going to realise thats close to 30 seconds of free pressure aswell as the other player going for an unhook.
Doc destroys new players but is average against good teams.

And what exactly gives you the info to make this judgment call? Maybe their teammates screwed THEM over, and they just want to leave.
Considering the last time this happened (yesterday) the claudette was jumping in and out of lockers the second she saw I was playing Doc, it was pretty clear what her intentions were. I even let all the other survivors go and made sure to give them a ton of BP.

So you decide to waste their time just to be petty. How brave of you.
They're wasting 4 other players time. ######### them. 3 survivors get an instant loss and a killer gets a very boring game.

it's not cheese if they didn't tunnel the person. just smart.
I'm talking about crouch walking behind a player so a chase doesn't trigger and also preventing them from removing the trap. It's the same as old moonwalking Legion.

Please take my games from me every single pig uses that add-on combination & they'll always throw the game just to tunnel the party trap and ensure they die & the 2 games they don't it's always the 5th box I'm begging you
I think thats why pig gets such a bad reputation. Even in red ranks the majority of pigs I see will do that whole "not chasing, crouching na na na na" to just cheese a gauranteed kill and have no idea how to use her ambush at loops.
Amazing they haven't removed that yet, it's indefensible.
-
If I get a player that clearly gives up as killer I go out of my way to slug them. If you want to screw your teammates over you're either waiting those 4 minutes or enjoying a nice matchmaking cooldown. :)
-
I think he's awful to play against thanks to the blurred vision from the gas and the boring "throw gas on one side of loop and force survivor into it" playstyle. But I love playing Clown. Applies to Freddy with his snares too, though I don't really like to play him anymore.
I enjoy Trickster even though large maps or just maps with tons of high wall tiles decimate him. Have barely played against him so I can't really comment on that.

That's the funny thing they dont always for some reason. There have been nettles but still go for protection hits when healed.
It's a good mindgame to pull sometimes. I've done it myself. Also if you have Unbreakable, thanks to perma obsession marks they're very likely to leave you slugged.

@Verconissp said:
If trickster was 115% none of these issues would happen..
Otz is not the best. But just Good reguardless..
Same with tru3..
115 would help with a lot of tiles just destroying his power, but it wouldn't fix his low map pressure.
I think this match shows that no matter how good a player you are, certain killers just have skill ceilings that limit your skill. If he played Micheal or Trapper this match would have played out the same. But with Nurse or Spirit or maybe Huntress/Oni it'd be a different story. Too many killers have a low skill ceiling/room to use their power compared to survivor utility.
I love Shape, for example. But if I see 4 survivors that I know are amazing loopers I already know I have zero chance of winning, because Shape can't deal with loops, and there's no aspect to his power that will help with that.
-
Doctors rework made him actually enjoyable to play. He was way too finicky before with the two modes and the meter to switch between them. He went form one of my least favorite killers to one of maybe 2 I still play regularly.

We've talked in the past how ridiculous it is to have people stubbornly genrush against pig and then losing people to the RBTs etc.
But... I just had a match of with a dwight (green rank, matchmaking at its best again) with a trap on sitting down to work on a gen with me. wth. do... do people not know how this stuff works?
The timer is usually lenient enough that on 90% of maps it IS smarter to just genrush even with helmets on.

he isn't just loopable.
L T walls and shack is infinite against trickster
True, when I think about most of my downs at L/T and shack, its because I faked going back and the survivor fell for it and ate a few more daggers. Not really anything to do with skill on my end, just them making a very easy to avoid mistake.

Aim dressing...is the auto aim...thats what the devs call it. It moves your camera and weapon to make the hit look more "legitimate". Which survivors know to abuse by just zig-zaging or turning quickly to force the aim dressing to drag your camera and weapon into like trees or walls.
They're adamant it isn't auto aim though. That's the annoying thing. It can actively work against you.

The doctors I've been facing have had extremely large blast areas and are making a lot of hits and quick recoveries that they don't have the perks or addons for.
If this is not a thing that's fine but sometimes it feels like something is up.
Can't speak for others but I use Monitor and abuse on Doc, it means I have a 40m TR in a chase, add on Calm very rare add on thats boosted to 48M.
-
20% faster fully charged hatchets aren't real, they can't hurt you.
-
Last 4K I got on Hag was almost a year ago. Hag on Azarovs, they had zero chance. I easily 3 genned them one end and by the last 10 minutes or so (it was nearly a 40 minute match) the last 2 gave up.
She's kind of like Twins, she's extremely effective if you're willing to commit to a rather boring, defensive playstyle.
-
You could probably put Pyramid Head in MAine, US. There's a lot of implications throughout SH2 and the entire series that he DID physically exist in some form outside of SH2. Be that in the otherworld or the real world.
-
Been happening to me as survivor/killer on a ton of maps recently. Dead Dawg is a nightmare. Shack on most maps has some sort of invisible bump that will steal all you rmomentun.

Rather too bright than too dark to be honest.

Theres a trick if you dont wanna look at your power. You know that bubba screams when he swings right? When you hear 4 screams you can tap the button again. This works with normal charges (not using any chili to extend each one).
Didn't know that. I'll try to remember it, thanks.
-
I stopped playing Billy a long time ago but, yeah, probably the Overheat meter. That said the Add on nerf was 100% justified. I miss playing against him, he's always been fun to play against.
I'd remove Hawkins outright.
I'd revert the Freddy buff, I used to main him before the change and while he was incredibly weak he was fun. I don't find new Freddy challenging or enjoyable to play.
The HUD. I still think its awful compared to the old one.

I kept leaving it too late and losing the ability to extend when I first picked him up again. Honestly the new power meter is so far in the corner I find it hard to keep track of.

Blows my mind when I see that perk being used. It was bad when it was first added and when exhaustion went down in chases. It has literally zero utility now.

Hah! You can't make me spend money on that abortion of a chapter. I played the PTB, I won't be fooled.

"getting hits with victor isn't really a challenge." Lolololol K.
I used to main Twins before their nerf, I play Freddy from time to time and simple answer is because I can, because it's fun to see the dcs, it's fun landing those hits with Victor. The ones you say are oh so easy and most importantly, it's so fun to relish in the salt from people who can't believe they just got bested by one of the "worst killers in the game". Must be embarrassing losing to a barely 3 foot full grown baby man. Can't relate because my ego isn't the size of Jupiter.
And last but not least: they're fun. Why do you main your main survivor? Because you like them and you can right? So kinda a hypocritical question imo.
Twins are actually considered one of the strongest killers, its that a lot of killer players don't like the more "scummy" playstyle of proxy hook camping with Victor. It's a dull playstyle but very strong.

Seriously not a joke, they made his addons actually better and his red addons much more useful and versatile, the shred movement buff is a great change and he overall feels like he has more utility, nice job devs!
I'm glad they went the combat straps route with Rat Liver. Though that video with Scott Jund going through Rat Liver vs no Rat Liver gameplay frame by frame is making me wonder if I've been falling for a placebo effect every time I use it lol.

@TheDarkTyrant said:
A lor of people still think Clown is weak. Of course its all opinion based but I want to know why everyone thinks that is so because I find him really fun and strong. Maybe it's my very aggressive build which I find to be his best play style. I use Fire Up, Save the Best For Last, Brutal Strength, and Ruin so I just decimate everything in my path and Ruin helps with the gens. I usually run ruin by itself on most killers because I think its good like that. Might be just because I'm A natural good chaser as well so combine that with Clown's power and those perks makes me pretty unstoppable which give me more time to patrol gens since I end chase ludicrously fast. But ya know, I wanna hear why everyone thinks he is weak.
I'd still call him the worst killer, sadly. I've always been a big fan of his zoning playstyle but he's still pretty meh.
No mobilty, reloads, even when played optimally with his bottles you'll still do worse than a Freddy or a Huntress even with her reloads. He's also kinda boring long term, his playstyle is pretty much identical to how you use Freddy's snares but with less payoff.
Also, word of advice, yellow bottles are a trap, don't use them. No matter what the desperate "HES GOOD NOW I SWEAR" Clown mains on here try to tell you. They've been tricked by the placebo from that 10% boost (10% is nothing at pallet loops as long as killer hitboxes make them take longer paths).
It was a really pathetic addition to him considering how long they teased those buffs.
Still worse than Legion imo and that says something.
-
Everyone thinks Billy is OP when they first start out. Heck, I used to. I couldn't comprehend why a killer would have near infinite mobilty and instadowns meanwhile I'm playing Micheal with his no mobility and timed 1 shot.
I changed my tune very quickly when I started going against good survivors and realised Micheal was the problem.

well they have to rework trickster too.,
that's 2 ######### killers that need a rework
Trickster just needs a very simple change, 115%.
He's INCREDIBLY strong in open areas on maps like the center of Blood Lodge or maps with tons of low wall loops, but is completely powerless against high wall tiles like Shack or Jungle Gyms, and being 110% makes him incredibly loopable on these. His power doesn't justify his 110% like Deathslinger or Huntress' powers do.
