  • Yeah very bad night tonight. Nothing but laggy console ghostfaces and super scummy playstyles and teammates

  • Blast Mine is a great perk with versatility. It even has an amazing use if the killer DOESNT proc the mine. A survivor can plant it on the gen but if it expires they get it back instantly; it also highlights the gen's aura in yellow for the entire team.

It's a better Better Together. My team has used it to pick which gen to do and where to get healing if they need it.

It's a strong perk with meme potential. Don't change it.

  • The battle pass is $10 and we have always gotten atleast two new, purple quality sets of cosmetics that would both on their own be $10. Getting simple recolors via leveling up in the rift isn't the most exciting thing (nor are the charms), but as far as how DBD's cosmetic system goes you're getting 2 epics for the price of 1, in addition to an assortment of sets worth about $2-$5 each.

On topic though...yeah. Jill got screwed and this "set" is cheating you out of $4.

  • Two things back when I was a baby. My best friend got me into this game but I watched alot of her games before I started. I watched alot of aggressive BT (old BT where it affected both) plays but I didn't understand the concept of it as a perk.

So she got hooked in the basement as T3 Myers and I snuck behind him and ended up farming her and getting her killed. She was annoyed in like a playful kind of way and I was confused. "Well you do it to people all the time!" And we just laughed.

The second memory was one of my very early games when Pig came out. Had my first speed hacking Doctor and was again confused. Went to my BFF for questions like a lost puppy to its mother XD. "WHATS GOING ON HOW DO YOU COUNTER THIS"

"This is not normal BFF" XD

It pretty much killed the ruin combo and any kind of perk shakeup that killers could give themselves as they did not need to sweat their butts off to just beat gen speeds. And with the recent changes to Small Game and Counter Force coming up as a perk, totems are going to be even easier to find and destroy. This isn't even mentioning the existence of Detectives Hunch to find them even EASIER. But no finding totems was to hard for people and they didn't want to lose their 5 meta perks every game to you know, shake up the survivor meta that has been stagnant for 4 years and actually have different gameplay.

It shouldn't come back; hex totems are incredibly powerful perks and old Undying made them too consistent and too good against solo and uncoordinated SWF. T'was unhealthy.

Also, if people really do use Counterforce in their builds that does remove one meta perk from standard load outs. I dont think CF will do this, but if it does then that's great. Bhvr needs to make more strong survivor perks but the same killers moaning that our meta has been stagnant for 4 years are also the ones crying for nerfs to every new potentially good perk. Survivors do the same for new killer perks, too.

I don't think new metas can really be defined in a PTB / controlled setting unless it's just so blatantly busted like Undying or old MoM. So unless we have perks on that power level, people really need to let new perks happen and see if they dent the meta at all.

I will admit I still am curious as to what happens if a generator with blast mine gets damaged by a perk like surge or opression.

The killer is unable to kick it therefore it does not trigger. Someone would need to tap it first.

Those two perks and Ruin counter blast mine.

  • Bhvr announced boon totems as a mechanic they can add in the future. We don't know anything about them yet because they haven't said anything else.

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

I’m really tired of this perk.

The only reason it was originally implemented was because it was clear how strong Bubba’s power works for hook camping, so let’s give him a more attractive incentive to leave it.

The whole “but BBQ prevents hook camping” is moot at best. The very idea that we would see more hook camping without BBQ is laughable. A killer is either going to camp, or they won’t. Let the idiots hurt their rank and BP gains. It’s irritating how little skill investment killers need to put into hunting/tracking because of a popular perk like BBQ.

It’s lazy. And it can be very frustrating as a survivor, very often, even when attempting to do the right things against BBQ.

No. I dont typically camp but I absolutely will if I have no sense of direction on where to go. I NEED the aura reveal to leave the hook otherwise I'll check the closest gens but I'm absolutely not going too far.

BBQ is not a problematic perk. Go hide in a locker, behind a gen, or get good in chases.

  • I fell asleep once laying my head down at desk while waiting for a queue. I woke up to going down to an Oni.

So let me get this straight. The more characters and perks we have, the less BP events we get? Sounds like DBD

Yep. They got super stingy and all-of-a-sudden cared greatly about the "bloodpoint economy".

The fact we get so few hunts nowadays remains one of my biggest peeves against this game. Bonus points for mobile getting so many while other platforms don't.

  • @ShinobuSK said:

Whats a bloodhunt? Sorry I only play for a year

A bloodhunt is an event where we get more bloodpoints. Like a baked in Party Streamer.

There have been alot of x2 events lasting a week in the past but then the devs got stingy with the events and started making them 1.5x weekend events.

Once upon a time we also had a Blood Feast which was x3 bloodpoints but that is never happening again lol.

  • I dont really care if killer comes to me via BBQ. I get a chase and my teammates can hopefully decide to save.

I also only hide if I'm the last one standing for hatch.

There is no way to deal with it unless you're a ranged killer like huntress, ph, or nemesis who can hit them over/thru the pallet after they dh to it.

DH as it is now, is just a panic button that can get you to a pallet or window for free if you're not dumb. The perk really needs a 2sec interaction lock after you use it, so you'd have to think about it a bit more instead of "duurrr dead hard to pallet and insta drop it".

It's not a problem. Just because it can be annoying / an inconvenience to the killer doesn't mean there's "no way to deal with it".

It also encourages greedy plays instead of boring, safe ones where you just drop the pallet. An animation lock for 1-2s doesn't make sense and would feel awful after you use it. Not to mention people would adapt and just use it earlier in the loop than usual or swap to Sprint Burst which is infinitely a more frustrating perk to go against, imo.

  • Because it's an exhaustion perk that competes with others. They all effectively do the same thing and thats extend and/or drop the chase.

Dead Hard is annoying but there are ways to deal with it and imo it isn't worse than Sprint Burst.

  • @humanbeing1704 said:

technician shouldn't even have any downside it's stupid lol

My favorite part is it used to not even have that downside. They looked back at that perk and then decided it needed a pretty big downside when literally only babies and adept Fengs use it lol.

  • I used to hate Hawkins as well but I think it's fine now, bar stealth and anti-loop killers like Clown. Its loops are different than other maps and encourages mindgames from both sides.

So I don't think it needs a rework, especially compared to certain other maps.

  • I love Kate but no way is she A tier or anything above the bottom. I think she has the worst set in the game.

  • Tinkerer + your regression of choice (usually Ruin) is good on almost all killers.

PH can silently snipe people on gens with Punishment, especially if you have range addons.

So yes it is good on him but he doesn't do anything really special with it because he isn't mobile.

  • It's not. I got it earlier as killer.

  • It's all about timing. The stun / blind must happen when killer is able to move, not mid pickup animation. Otherwise it fails

  • I agree though. It's very unhealthy regardless because it also encourages killers to slug one person and close hatch so they can look for the gnome while that one person is bleeding for 4 minutes.

    Absolutely disgusting "event".

  • I did this for rituals and the achievement. It's fine. They're wasting alot of time by doing this and even if they're doing it to negate DS later...they kinda just took one by forcing the torment.

  • Because that still limits people from playing and progressing the game with their friends.

People need to stop suggesting arbitrary limitations to swf teams like downsides or player caps. It's not happening. Buffing solos and killers is the only way they can bridge the gap but it will never be completely balanced.

The most common swf is 2 man, sure. But the 4 man sweat squads most killers whine about are very rare and you only get one every so often. It's a horror story, really.

So no. Do not force me to choose between playing with all my friends or bloodpoint progression in this exceptionally grindy game. Because then we just won't play.

  • @Satelit said:

Just seeing her role in the game is enough to make out that she's not a new killer, she dies super early.Miranda would have better chances.

Was hoping someone would point that out and since spoilers were already warned in title: yep.

I was so sad and disappointed at how quickly Lady D and her daughters are beaten. I get that there's 4 lords and she's only a quarter of them, but still. She was so integral to PR that I thought they'd do more with them.

  • No, leave Spine Chill alone. Perks countering a small fraction of the killer base is fine and its not like they make stealth killers absolutely useless. Just because a perk makes the game a little harder for you on that killer you decided to play this game doesn't mean it's "OP" or "needs a change".

    Stunning.

  • @Vetrathene said:

But SWF and Keys are? Things that horribly imbalance the game and unfun for killers to play against? Sure thing BHVR, Fair and Balanced. Can we at least get a ranked mode where only Solos can play and a casual mode for SWF? League does it, every competitive online multiplayer game does it. But not this one? Why?

Keys are getting changed but Moris were still more unhealthy than they were considering how easy it was to use them. Also, since BHVR already acknowledges keys as a problem and are working on them, you cannot make the argument that they think one of them is more fair than the other.

And no. No splitting game modes for swf vs non swf. They need to buff solos to swf level and then balance killers.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Have you tried dance with me?

Judging by how OP people seem to think the nerfed Lucky Break is, don't taunt them with DwM XD.

45s total pool vs DwM which lets you do it all throughout the game. So OP.

Anyway. No. Lucky Break isn't a problem.

  • @EntitySpawn said:

Sorry but if that 5% action debuff was op you're bad. No other reason behind it. When you keep nerfing killers to have pointless addons or powers you will see less and less of them meaning just the same few meta killers over and over. Stop asking for nerfs and learn how to play, learn what a tile is and learn how to use it before you even voice your opinion.

How do you "learn to play" against % speed reductions? Especially passive ones that also stacked with other % slowdowns and regressions.

Holding m1 for even longer than we already are is boring.

Problem isn't why they nerfed his addons, its what they nerfed them into.

  • @reeves7 said:

    Thats good

Yeah its not good for reasons I shouldn't have to explain to you.

  • Looks like this.

  • No. He didn't. Had a basement Trapper do it to us and two were stuck down there and couldn't squeeze past. The basement has a tight doorway

  • If this isn't bait...just hit them out or stop "going easy on them".

You can't realistically punish hanging out at the thresholds.

  • The solution to swf is not throwing your hands up and going "I dont wanna do this, you can't make me" and afking in the corner.

I guess you just want to stomp on solos with what you're running. But still if you're gonna just give up at the first sign of swf then idk what to tell you.

  • This isn't really an "us vs them" thing. FYI the pallet bug isn't fixed either. It's pretty messed up for both sides.

  • Yes. Some basements have the same thing as you hug the corner up or down the stairs, too.

    Pretty annoying.

  • 1) it's rare to see it being used

    2) it's kinda hard to make it obvious that you have it unless you're in an indoor map with really good hiding spots and you're consistently catching them hiding

    3) it's not an addon you can reliably confirm even if you suspect they have it because there are other aura reads / ways to track that people would assume they have first and

    4) the average survivor doesn't adapt well to things in general, especially if it isn't meta or particularly common.

  • @Lord_Tony said:

they just trying to falsify stats so BHVR thinks wraith is good and will nerf him

I highly doubt they had an agenda before killing themselves. Maybe they just don't like stealth killers.

It's very entitled of them, but let's try not to pointlessly theorize some ulterior motive to get a good killer nerfed. It does not run that deep.

  • Yes it's a bug. Survivors basically have free Plunderer's Instinct so they get higher rarity stuff.

  • Agreed. Too heavy handed moderation / censorship. If people don't want to deal with that kind of stuff then they can tick that checkbox. We're not kids that need our language moderated 24/7 in-game.

Not to mention how it blocks completely innocuous words or even killer names and game terms lol.

  • We do not know if it's an "easy fix". This game is a blueprint and every tiny little thing breaks the other half of the game.

They already said they're working on it. Not much else to do but wait.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Unpopular opinion: meme builds are super boring to face. Agitation + Mad Grit or No Mither + Self Care was fun for like the first 10 matches I saw it, now I just zzzzzz whenever I see one. I'd rather face Ruin+Undying Freddy.

Same. Meme builds in general are only funny the first few times and then they're overdone and I just want a normal match.

People will complain about anything, but high meta and meme builds are boring for different reasons.

Oppressive Freddy and Spirit meta? Boring.

    Silly meme builds? Boring.

I just want a normal match, man.

  • I'd be gone for awhile. Me, personally, would want to quit forever because 3k+ hours and unobtainable event cosmetics / items down the drain is soulbreaking.

But I can't quit unless my friends quit, too. I imagine they would as well if they lost the progress, though.

  • My friends and I occasionally do it for baby nurses, wraiths, and demopuppies in particular. But if killer was nice I lean towards giving them a kill as well.

Hitboxes were always pretty bad but i haven't seen any differences might want to check that

They have been bad, yes. But they've gotten so much worse with the update, just watch some streams and play more yourself. The feedback on the forums say so as well.

  • For me, the biggest problem are how the new animations messed up hitboxes. They're absolutely insane right now, killers are getting hits from miles away.

The UI change was completely unneeded. It took everything good from the old one and spread it out to all 4 corners of the screen which is an absolute eyesore and annoying to deal with. It'll feel better once people get used to it but overall it is just not as good as the old one and did not need to be changed.

I like the animations themselves for what they are.

  • They can (and should) be nerfed in other ways than requiring death hook. Another popular suggestion is to require all 4 survivors be hooked first and then be moriable with Ebony, which isn't really crippling to it at all.

Keys should also be nerfed, but keys also don't tend to come into play until late game or if the killer is doing particularly well. Moris, however, come into play the moment after a survivor gets their first hook. The 4 survivor stipulation atleast keeps both of their time frames similar.

  • Happened to me before as well. This is EXACTLY the reason we shouldn't have DC penalties yet.

And no, "just take the 5 mins" is not acceptable.

  • I'm glad ragequitters get punished.

However...this game is still far from perfect, especially with these servers. Game breaking bugs and crashes combined with BMing killers trying to grief players until they quit.

I just think they should focus less on DLC, Matchmaking, and DC punishments and start focusing on fixing bugs, gameplay, polish. The game is so unbearable right now, to me.
