Didn't realize Iron Grap applied Exposed to survivors you were carrying. :p
OH lol. I thought you said Iron Maiden. Why would there be an issue with Iron Grasp? It's in a good place I think.
-
I think a longer time for being exposed would be good.

The Plague. There isn't a perk to silence the coughing, so you won't be able to stealth around her unless you cleanse, but no one wants to cleanse so you'll piss people off if you do. Also her red vomit is very strong, so it isn't ideal to cleanse.

I can confirm that it's hidden somewhere in the level. I helped hide it =)
The only hint I can offer is that we did something a little different this time.
Good luck!
Is it somewhere that's easily seen or needs a trick to get to/see?

Maybe somewhere at the exit gates? maybe even behind it
I checked the exit gates and didn't see anything. We tried hopping up in the portal room to see the scaffolding up top (using the hag trap method) and didn't really see anything there, too. When it kicked me out of the map, it sent me far away and had me falling into the void. It may be possible it's on the outside ring, but I have no idea how to get there. Otherwise, we checked everywhere and couldn't find it, so I have no idea.

Oh of course some people will always be the way they're... it doesn't hurt suggesting it though, since wouldn't you want to be treated better if you were in their position?
But, they don't really have to and they don't have to even care about what the other side says... it's just nice to know someone actually does care from the opposite side.
I mean, I'm always polite and nice to the other side, regardless of the role I'm playing. I know what it's like to be that random the SWF is blaming for failing the game or the person being tunneled because the killer doesn't want them to do anything other than being chased. Luckily you can get emblems and points in other categories for being a distraction, essentially. The people who do those sorts of things are rarely the sort to listen to reason, though. If they're caught chasing you for 3+ gens, they're understandably hesitant to switch targets (especially if you're injured and someone else isn't). The people who hunt people down based off of the character they're playing are often memers who throw the game, too. I've seen people who tunneled and killed Dwights (even had a name with it and everything). They're just making an excuse to ruin someone else's game. That's their goal. They'd come up with another excuse. They're likely bitter and wanting to take out their bad games/day on someone else.

Well no, they were specifically addressing me... nobody else is really known more for sneaking around and stealth like Claudette (Hide and seek champion 2016)
But yeah, they were specifically addressing me because I was a Claudette... So automatically they made the assumption that I would be worthless to the team because I was a Claudette.
And I was wearing the Producer Pants (The best pants), Claudettes P3 Face, and the black jacket with the red trim on the bottom... It's not entirely stealthy because of that BRIGHT red trim at the bottom, but it can be in some places... but what isn't stealthy for Claudette? She has a built in stealth field...
Anyways, its not like I was running full brown clothes Claudette... Cause than that would make a bit more sense and I kind of don't like it either when I face it as a Killer... But even when people use it, if I OPEN my eyes enough I can still see those people most of the time depending on the map.
Regardless if The Wraith was specifically targeting me or not, the main point still stands. You shouldn't be toxic or make assumptions about someone and openly express it in the pre/post chat... Cause than YOU look like the jerk in that scenario, all because you hate that Survivor from past experiences...
I mean, ideally someone wouldn't be mean or act out on their assumptions, but I doubt rude kids will stop being rude just cause someone asked them to. Those pants are cool, but I really like her skirts. c: Claudette does have lighter clothes, though I wouldn't consider what you were wearing as the worst tbh. It isn't really blendette (which a lot of people don't like). Most characters have darker options to help with stealth play.

So, lemme answer all these questions.
No, the mori was almost at the end of the match since 1 generator was left when I was Killed. It was an Ivory mori, so it could've been a daily he was after but he didn't exactly say that at the end in post-match so that's unknown.
It's unknown because nobody was on 2nd hook until I was killed, he was mostly just hooking anyone he could grab while also primarily chasing me as explained in the story above. This was on Red Ranks also (as that was my rank and still is currently on Survivor) but some people there were also purple and the Killer was ALSO purple, so the ranking system wasn't really precise on that.
Another thing, it wasn't a SWFs since none of them actively said that in pre and post chat. So I can't really say it wasn't a SWFs but it most likely wasn't considering not all of them were saying "don't play immersed" it was only 2 of them.
So it could've been a 2 man SWFs or it could've just been 2 solos bandwagoning on the stereotype.
And now for the last point, my memory isn't the greatest so I can't remember exactly if I was hooked first... but for the sake of arguing about that i'll just say I was. So i'm hooked first, I get rescued and fully healed and he downs someone else and hooks them afterwards (The Feng if memory serves.) At which point I complete one generator at 90% and than go after another close by which was at 70%, after that he comes back and chases me for 2 minutes... within those two minutes he actually did divert his attention on other survivors INCLUDING the Feng Min which he hooked previously...
So with that knowledge, he could've actually went after her instead since he could've just been after a daily... but no... instead he goes after me since I was probably wasting most of his time and he wanted me out of the game for either a personal reason or not... whatever.
In post-chat, he never denied going after me personally because I was a Claudette either... someone else pointed that out... but he never actively said it wasn't because of my Survivor... instead he laughed it off and that was that. If he wasn't actively targeting me and was after a daily, than you'd say that... you wouldn't just ignore what someone said about "Most Claudettes are toxic so he was probably targeting you" and not deny it.
Clearly he was after me because I was either wasting too much of his time and he wanted to mori ME (because if I wasn't playing well he would've probably mori'ed someone else... I'm not a god at Survivor btw)
OR, he was specifically targeting me since as a Killer main I know how each second is very important in a match... why would he waste so much time on me unless he actually wanted me dead for a specific reason? In hindsight he threw the match because of this... but if it was for a daily he would've said that...
But he didn't...
May just be perspective. I figured they were SWF since you're braver in a group of friends. You know (or think) the others will approve of what you're saying/doing. If it's just a duo, one person would at least. People are more likely to do something in a group that they probably wouldn't otherwise and a lot of people aren't very vocal while on their own (you get the bystander effect due to that). They're trying to avoid having everyone turn on them. Also if they weren't SWF, they'd likely to be addressing everyone since (if reacting to past experience) anyone can urban evade around the map and do nothing.
As for the point in regards to killers, a lot of killers get tunnel vision. They're chasing after this person for so long and they think they'll get them down at the next spot. If you're smart about it, you won't get caught chasing after one person for too long, but it happens to the best of us. What were you wearing? I may have missed it if you already mentioned it. This usually isn't important, but a lot of killers get tilted over stealth players since it's so easy to lose them and wastes a lot of their time. I had a match on a really dark map with a full team of Claudettes (all in the darkest clothes) and it was hell. A lot of killers don't like that.
-
Was it an iridescent mori? Was everyone else 2 hooked and the second he downed you twice, he moried you? It's likely the team you were playing with was what is known as a toxic SWF. If you hadn't carried the team, it would have somehow been your fault 'cause you didn't crank out gens while being chased. Also were you wearing all dark clothes? What rank were you? A lot of higher ranks crouch around and stealth far too much, even when it isn't necessary.
If you were the first and only person to be hooked, it's likely he was just getting off his mori and it wasn't as targeted as you think. If he's already wasting a lot of time on you and he has a daily for a mori, him switching targets would mean he wouldn't be able to use it. As a killer main, you should know how determental it is to be chasing only one person, especially since most people go full stealth mode when a mori is introduced.

Just a lobby without a killer. Nothing special. Just wait and a killer will join! That's new with dedicated servers
This is true. I went into a lobby and the line turned black. I was asking people if they saw it and then the killer came back.
-
It's probably because they're working on a thin line. Something good for killers is often bad for survivors. Good for survivors, bad for killers. I also don't think it's as easy as just saying "Do the thing" since so many people can't even agree on simple buffs and changes that could be helpful and they have to consider both new player experience and old player experiences. They need to think of both casual and competitive players, though this sort of game isn't really designed for competitive play. There's too many random variables. But some people are playing to have fun and some are playing to win.

There shouldn't be a punishment on either side, just ways to counter and let the chips fall where they may
Thank you for the tldr.
-
Poor rescues do, actually, get punished. If someone is farming the team, they'll likely get hit and downed immediately or they'll have the recently hooked getting the aggro. Even if they have Borrowed, that means someone is closer to death and that person is closer to be out of the game (one less hand on gens/saves). Also if the person goes down, their emblems get hurt and they don't get the points for the safe saves.
I think the issue a lot of people have is (I would guess) that they're newer and don't know how to combat it or how to get out of the ranks to find a place that has more skilled killers.
You can't realistically punish either, really. Killers should be allowed the possibility. Survivors may have made an honest mistake.
They aren't going to punish farming, though, since sometimes it's needed. If the person is close to second stage and I farm them, it's needed. If the person goes down immediately, they technically did a "good" save. It could end up making honest plays/mistakes a troublesome thing due to the rules.

@Salami said:
Absolutely. I can tell you (as a former survivor main for a straight year and a bit) it's EASY to play survivor. Sure, there's a few lessons to be learned but pfft, how hard is learning to run around in a circle, press a button, run to another area, run in a circle, press a button etc etc.
There's a reason the hate flows in as soon as a killer can stop their bs. You can't help but get a cocky attitude when you play survivor because you can almost feel the struggle of the killer and although you realise what you're doing takes little to no brain power it makes you feel quite good. (Some will try and tell you looping is skill...yeah no) Especially when playing with friends who are equally as knowledgeable (notice knowledgeable, not skilled) of map layout, loop spots, gyms etc because then the killer truly is a plaything and their presence is more of a nuisance than a threat.
I've been there, I've played with other 'high rank' survivors and I can tell you without a shadow of doubt 90% of the toxicity and sulking on the forums spawns from 'I just died and I can't believe how stupid I am for dying in a game that I could play with one hand, blindfolded, sipping a Mountain Dew and all at the same time I'm doing coursework for that project I should have handed in last week but I was too busy hitting up the forums with the 100th post about Spirit this week, boo hoo.'
Can't believe I used to be one. I have showered many times. They don't make water hot enough.
Survivor is easy if you forget you're working on a team. Your team is as weak as its weakest member. A 3 against 1 is only possible with solid players and killer misplays. Forget 2 against 1. If your teammate DCs, oh well. Too bad about that cake 'cause the killer's just gonna slug for the 2k he definitely earned from people DCing at the start. Wanna play the game and get points? Want to get other categories other than bold? The killer has something else to say. Would you like to get saves? Farmer Jake already on that person. Would you like to go through that window? So would the rest of your team, I guess. And first, please, 'cause god forbid they get smacked from healthy. Everyone else going down immediately? YOU need to go for saves (and in possible unsafe areas) or risk everyone dying and losing pips. You got hooked for the first time? Death hook. Doesn't matter if you were the one saving everyone all game. You get to end game 'cause everyone died real quick? The doors spawned right next to each other and hatch spawned on killer or killer found it first since they're faster and don't need to stay out of sight. You can only loop for so long during end game and you likely won't have time to open any door if you're found and end up losing the killer. Makes me wonder how you always get good teammates that survivor is walk in the park for you. Honestly it can be quite stressful and annoying. Especially when it's somehow your fault someone from a swf misplayed and they all have to tell you how it's your fault, etc. Toxic SWF is awful to run across for solo survivors. It's always the random's fault, after all.

I mean, scared and surprised are two different things when it comes to surprise pallet stuns. Have I ever been genuinely scared as a Killer? No since there isn't anything to be afraid of when you're in that role.
Have I been surprised by someone who magically was at a pallet and throws said pallet on me with no warning? Yes, a lot of us have... Some Survivors are weird, and they'll just pallet game assuming it's keeping them safe or something.
Most of the time though I moonwalk into them and just hit them and have them waste the pallet on top of that lol...
I mostly mean like jump scares. xD Not like you look deeply into the survivors eyes and realize they're dead inside and that scares you a little bit. I've ran into a survivor and hit them 'cause they surprised me before. They like came out of no where.

Nope no no one is forced to work on a generator with you.
Hell there are two perks in a game which benefit survivors mate if they work alone on a generator.
The first being technician a survivor perk which is set up to be a lone wolf perk you're meant to work on a generator by yourself to get the full effect of it as the perk will only reduce your repair sounds not anyone else's who's working on it with you.
The second one being discordance a killer perk which will notify the killer if more than one person is working on a generator. If you are aware that the killers running it it's probably best to work on your own gen unless you know the killer is occupied
Actually technician is better in a group or when a killer is in a chase. He won't realize someone's left on the gen and if you sneak off and come back to it, he'll often not realize to double check since it doesn't sound like someone's on it.
It's possible you're on a gen they don't want done, OP (3 gen strat), or they have a different goal for that moment in the game. Some people run loot builds where they can find really good items. Some people try to go for fashlight saves or bother the killer. They could also rather work on a different gen than you in case of discordance.
-
We can keep the cute/cool ones. :D Just get rid of the ones destroying our homes and buzzing in our ears.
-
In regards to what?
-
The only real way to make something scary is to make something new. With time, everything will become less interesting and scary. It's actually a method in therapy. Exposure therapy, I believe, to help people with their fears.
We have enough bugs. I'd rather they'd fix all the existing, annoying bugs like the frequent DCs, etc.

They also denied Clowns and non-human creatures, so we have some hope.
-
If not Bond, then Inner Strength, though Bond is really good while with randoms.
-
Honestly it won't alleviate in lower ranks since people who camp and tunnel may find a harder time pipping and end up stuck in yellow ranks. Just do your best to get out of those ranks and equip DS if you have it. c: It'll help with escaping. Otherwise, having something to heal yourself and knowing your routing. Unsafe pallets should be the last things you go to if you can help it unless you think you can run them. Knowing where to escape to while you work on a gen and practicing looking around can be vital.

If you count by playtime, I guess I'd be a Survivor Main but I honestly see myself more as a Killer main. Cannot handle the stress and frustration too well.
A lot of times when I'm playing, it's during breaks and I'm being dragged in with some friends. I think that's the biggest reason I'd consider myself a Survivor main since I kinda play socially and goof off with friends while playing. I can understand certain things making you stressed out or frustrated. I quite like how thrilling and active killer is. I like messing around and while toxic survivors are annoying, the wholesome ones are adorable and cool to come across. Same could be said for killers, too.

I play Killer almost exclusively. Survivor gameplay sounds fun in theory, but in practice, there are far too many quick time events for my liking. Which is to say, more than zero.
And yes, I know I could play as a distraction and spend most of the match being chased by the killer instead, but even then, most killers are no fools. They'll give up eventually if they can't catch you. Then I have to go back to doing quick time events to try and get their attention.
Oh, you mean the M1 simulator portion? haha I understand not liking that. I think my favorite parts are the killer interactions and the teammate interactions.
-
Hi. What does "Doyle rules" mean?
-
When you close the hatch, you close off the generators. How it was before was that the hatch would always be open and you could have a stand-off or do gens. With how it is now, you literally have one thing to do. You could easily catch the last survivor and it'd be almost impossible to get out.
Lore-wise it's so that survivors have hope, despite the odds. Game-wise, you're basically dead if the killer is even remotely good. Doesn't matter if you carried the team, did the most gens, was on a team of farming people.
-
How do you know they're SWF?
You probably would have gotten better emblems if you were another killer. With killers like Billy, there's an oversight that doesn't include chainsaw hits when factoring in chases, etc.
-
The big difference is the rank 20 survivors have a choice to join you in a higher match game. Killers didn't get that and it can really ruin the killer's experience.
It's fine if your friends don't wan't to join you. Just let them practice and get up to your ranks. You can still play KYF.
-
You forgot "Thou shall not steal items dropped from Franklin's"
-
BBQ & Chili has counters. It's in no way OP. Just play around the assumption that everyone runs it and make preparations around that.
-
His sounds are awesome and I love his heartbeat music and his chase music! It's the best. <3

Remember the hidden DS that would waste a lot of time? That would be back, too. You can play around 60 seconds after being unhooked and how people play can tip you off, too. Additionally, you'd have to actually know how to dribble to dribble people. Newer players wouldn't know how, making it so much harder on newer players.
If someone is easily down and you think they've been hooked recently, best to leave them on the ground unless you think you can eat a DS. If someone jumps into a locker after being unhooked, it's obvious they have DS. They're trying to make you grab them so that they may use it. If you slug them, they won't be able to use it.
-
I agree with the Coldwind Farm (corn is annoying). I didn't think about it until I saw the comments. Haddonfield is quite often a nightmare for killer, though.

Yeah, I can't be too sure on what's holding them up. Some people lack the foresight to realize small buffs to information solos can get (that SWF already gets) isn't that much of an issue. Like there's ways to rework Kindred to reflect what the hooked survivor sees, so-to-speak. You could also make commands to notify people on what you're doing or what landmark you're by. On top of that, the suggestion comes with buffing killers, too, but some overlook that. I'm wondering if those people are influencing their choices.
