Don't want to point fingers but I can say it starts with A KEKW
Speaking of the man who must not be named I haven't heard from him in a while.

yes because you are omnipotent.
I don't mean to be annoying or anything but I think you mean omniscient. Omnipotent means all power not all knowing.
-
What's up with the complaints about perks like BBQ. As a survivor main I don't have a problem most of them.
-
That should be expected. Trapper gets a lot of power from basement. If I'm in basement please just do gens and leave. 1 death is better then 4.
(Unless they are not camping then maybe).

I just wanted to hear opinions to see what everyone thought of the perk since DS is getting nerfed now that I got information it seems your fine with the way it is. That’s fine and I agree
Sorry if I came off as annoyed or rude but I wanted to know the problem people had with it.
-
Why nerf unbreakable? Is it really that much of a detriment to killers? It's only one use.

Yeah.
I could also see it being useful against Infectious Fright Instadowners. (Though you'll still scream)
I was thinking that as well.

You just opened pandora's box.

Self Preservation could be a good anti tunnel perk.

It's not better looking for totems.
It actually really is. It's simple ad it only requires a gen to be done and it shows the direct location instead of the area of where it could be and helps really well in indoor maps.
-
I don't get it.
-
This issue with "holding w" seems to stem from the fact that m1 killers are extremely underpowered. To fix this it seems like your going to have to buff m1 killers.

Most of my killer experience isn't great. I could deal with the toxic players and the broken builds, but what's really hurting is the sheer lack of gameplay. I play any killer other than Blight, Nurse or Spirit and it's hold W time. Every pallet is predropped except maybe shack. No-one tries to loop, no-one tries to do anything but predrop pallets and hold that W key really hard. And then, on the off chance they somehow didn't do gens fast enough, out come the second chances to ruin the remainder of my day.
Fun, engaging gameplay. I've stopped playing even remotely nice to survivors that do that, there's just no point. It's too strong and too... Tunnelly/campy.
Aren't those all anti loop killers and pre dropping pallets are a strategy against them?
-
I don't know I think I'm pretty split on what the forum is. Both sides can make valid complaints.
What i noticed is that, The survivors on the forum (for the most part) complain about things that are fair and tend to defend things on their side that is unfair. And killers tend to have an extremely negative bias towards survivors and sometimes come off as extremely rude and often rejecting them.
But other then that pretty even.
-
No that would make gens go to fast. Imagine if all 4 survivors had it. That would be too much. One should only be in effect.
-
Wasn't that nerf to the addon a bit justified? I heard that it took away skill because all the killer had to do was aim it at the ground and get extra damage in.
-
@Ghoste said:
Sure, if you manage to get the stun. Killers will be aware Smash Hit exists, so they may tend to respect pallets more. And once they know you have it, you're unlikely to get another use since they know you'll be going for stuns every time.
Personally I'd rather have an exhaustion perk that doesn't require resources. Sprint Burst and Dead Hard will still be the best because they don't require terrain to use them imo.
I agree, doesn't seem like it's going to be a problem. I could see it pairing well with power struggle or any means necessary.
-
YESSS they listened to the feedback for self preservation.
Sorry that was insensitive. But after looking at the killer changes he still going be a c teir killer. Which is a shame because as a survivor I'm all for the challenge.

Who are we talking about?

My OCD kindly rejects this suggestion. Having the perks all be the same colour was one of the best visual changes they ever did. I hated having 3 purple perks and 1 green. 🤢

If you're on pc, you could use a custom perk pack showing perks in their old tier 3 colors. While it wouldn't show the icons in a trial, it would do so in the inventory.
Yeah I know but I'm sadly on console. I'm just going to wait untill they figure out how to put it on console.
-
I'm a survivor main but I care about killers fun. I never teabag or do anything that's toxic to others because I know thats completely unfun. I also only take one meta perk to be more fair.
Me personally if i see other people happy I'm happy.

It's a bird? Everytime I saw the icon i never know what was in the middle.

You know why not a lady gaga skin. It has to be legendary because she is iconic
-
I like your build. I personally love urban evasion. Sure the sigma behind it is bad but I'm not one of those useless players who use it.
-
I don't think a proximity voice chat is a good idea in my opinion mainly because of how annoying it would be for the players. I feel a better system to help is something like in white noise 2 that is really balanced for both players. The seekers would have a set chat system in which the characters themselves would speak and tell them things like "the monster is near" or "I hear a tape" (That's the objectives). Thia could work against them as it would sometimes give the location of the seeker. In dbd the survivors would speak out saying lines like "I'm on a gen" or "please help me" to communicate to other survivors. I think this is the route they should go.
-
Well if your doing a experiment you need a hypothesis. Whats your hypothesis?

Being stealthy

I think you played enough for today.
-
I like playing against spirit it switches up things for survivors without being too overpowered. And since I incorporated iron will in my build I have done well against her.
-
I think its worth being nice because it feels good. In my opinion you shouldn't be nice because you expect niceness in return you should be nice because it's a good thing to be.
Don't let the toxic people get the best of you and don't lose hope in being kind. Rise above the toxicity and be kind.

Maybe that's because our fellow survivors are hiding industry secrets from us. I've seen many times as killer, survivors moving super hard to the left or right, but I'm never able to do that as survivor.
Is this a pc secret. Because I have no control on the chain at all when I am on console.
-
I have no clue what your talking about because whenever I try and do it I always get reeled in.

No way out isn't a great perk in its ptb form. 40 seconds of blocking the gate switch is very rarely useful, especially taking into account travel time and, yes, the ability to sit and wait in a locker.
So are you saying it should be buffed?
-
Its been odd. I have spawned in front of hex totems.
-
No. Its fine. Why a survivor would think to be in the exit gates against Deathslinger is beyond me.
It's their fault

Honestly I don't feel like dbd is even close to the most toxic game i've ever played. I think that has to go to League of Legends, people are intense in that game.
Is league of legends really that toxic? All the ads I see of it makes it so friendly?

Unfortunately it's hard to get too much out of one build for balance sake, it's better to have a cohesive goal in mind. Ie "survival, totems, running a killer" etc...
Premonition has a large cooldown which holds it way back, it doesn't help you know if they are coming for you or not which is more useful to know. Spine Chill has built in utility that 6% speed boost is no joke, especially when paired with resilience. Spine chill always works, counters a lot of killers very well with no cooldown.
If you don't want to go meta and are happy with Premonition that is fine, I just want to be clear in letting you know that spine chill is a vastly superior perk. If you have a preference that is fine, I just wanted to make sure there was no confusion there.
If you want gens, stealth and chases and to know what the killer is up to, you would be better off with Spine chill, resilience, lithe, and iron will. Sure you give up detectives hunch but that speed boost is useful for many things, makes you clutch windows like a boss, lithe will trigger for insult to injury and help you escape to heal up. I suggest running this build with even just a brown med kit.
If you really wanted to keep detectives hunch, then Detectives hunch paired with inner strength can be a good pairing.
Ok Thanks I think I will try that out. I'm a little worried about taking off detectives hunch because I don't want hex totems to be a problem but thank you.
-
@Clueless said:
Not a fan of Lithe myself. I am bad at using it well, so I stick with an easier exhaustion perk like Dead Hard.
Off the Record feels a little underwhelming to me.
I love Detective's Hunch. I almost always pair it with Inner Strength and a Map though.
I haven't ran Premonition how does it feel to use? Seems similar to Spine Chill.
I Like premonition as much as spine chill. It's undeniable that spine chill is better but I like knowing the exact direction the killer is rather then know they are looking at me.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
I would swap off the record for Iron will and Premonition for Spine Chill if that's what you want. May as well use the better versions of each.
What exactly did you want to go for? Stealth, breaking totems? Running the killer? It helps to have a general goal in mind.
I'm going for a build that's versatile. One for gens, one for stealth, one chases and one to spot the killer. I sorta like premonition better because I can know the direction of the killer rather then know they are looking at me.
-
For me it's working fine. Just played 2 games

I'm not saying all survivors are snowflakes, I'm referring to the ignorants that always have something to say about the killer's playstyle, if you're not one of them then I'm not talking about you
I know that. I'm just saying ignore the jerk survivors.

I'm not denying that camping takes no skill at all, in fact I'm with you there.
I just don't agree with you on one thing which is basically saying that holding W is fair since killers camp and tunnel.
Both of those things require no skill though tunneling is harder than camping depending on the map and situation.
Ok then. I see what you mean. But I feel taking away any of these strategies also takes away from people playing how they want and I don't agree with that. I recently had a change a heart on this but I feel everyone should play the game they feel fine with.
I also just don't think it's right to target one sides strategies without tackling the other sides strategies, especially if they are on the same level. That's just biased to me.
-
Those types of survivors are toxic and terrible and give genuinely good and kind survivors a bad name. As a survivor main just ignore them and play how you want.
Just don't assume that every survivor is toxic and like this. There are nice ones too.

And you are not giving backlash right now?
From my experience I see way more survivors insulting killers than killer insulting survivors.
Not all killers camp, just I haven't been camped at all today but when I play killer everyone holds W
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2011738#Comment_2011738
Oh just like how survivors want everything nerfed from killers? Freddy, spirit, oni, huntress, blight, twins, just like that or how? Or how undying got nerfed in 1 patch? Or how PH got nerfed as well? Like nurse? Yep like that.
I'm expressing the hypocrisy that I noticed a lot on the forum from killers. That its completely fine for killers to complain about something but when survivors do they are met with hate and backlash.
And sure a lot of survivors be insulting but this trait isn't only unique to survivors. Sure not all killers camp but that doesn't take away from the fact that it takes no skill

Demoralizing a boring play that can make killers stop playing since there is no interaction? And then you see everyone ######### talking the killer match after match for camping and tunneling meanwhile survivors are not for doing that?
Looping requires skill and map knowledge, holding W doesn't.
If a killer can outsmart the player then at least deserves the hit, but if the survivor is just holding W from point a to point b that is not outplaying that is just wasting time since most killers won't catch up in time.
Don't say "but then go for another survivor" that does the same? How is that fun or engaging?
That same logic can be applied to camping. Camping takes no skill so shouldn't we be demonizing that as well.
You act like killers don't and can't insult survivors for holding w, I have seen it happen.
This is just rich. When survivors complain about killer strategies its automatically met with backlash and hate but when killer complain about similar strategies its met with utter agreement and suddenly a problem.

Can you read what Omega above answered to the same thing you just mentioned.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2011605#Comment_2011605
Legion is anti looping? Good to know, ghosty is anti looping? And no, looping and outsmarting one another is the best part of the game.
You see slowdown builds because of that holding W as well, if it takes you a long time to down them because of holding W might as well regress that gen that they were working
Well couldn't the same be said about looping? If all the survivors did it then they would win as well.
This just seems like your trying to demonize holding w but it's a strategy that survivors have, just like looping. The fact that it's fun or not doesn't play into it. This seems similar to survivors saying camping, and slugging are boring unfun strategies. These are all strategies and survivors are allowed to have good strategies too.
