Am I misunderstanding the perk, or does No Way Out actually suck?
I was reading over The Trickster's perks and No Way Out caught my eye. If you hook each survivor once, the exit gates will be blocked for 40 seconds. Sounds like a massive pain for survivors, having to stealth for that long and then have to open them as well...
But then I noticed that stillness crows take a full minute of being idle to appear. So... the hard counter to this perk is to sit in a locker for 40 seconds? It's lame, yeah, but that's what people will be doing, essentially turning the perk into 40 seconds of wasting everyone's time.
Am I missing something here? Wouldn't it make more sense as a hex perk? Gates remain blocked for 40 seconds or until totem is clensed? At least Blood Warden needed you to hook someone during egc to activate...

No way out isn't a great perk in its ptb form. 40 seconds of blocking the gate switch is very rarely useful, especially taking into account travel time and, yes, the ability to sit and wait in a locker.
So are you saying it should be buffed?
Its a perk that I honestly believe is worse then "Remember Me".
As "Remember Me(RM)" forces a survivor(other then the usually tunnelled obsession as you get rewarded for that) to stay on the gates themselves for an extended period of time giving you an advantage in both finding them and chasing them.
"No Way Out" has the issue that it doesn't corral the survivors like RM does making it almost worthless as with NOED survivors literally have no reason not to just hunt for the totem.
The only use I have seen for "No Way Out" is to meme it with Rancor to do a mori dailly without a mori almost always being successful.
Maybe. Thing is, it's better to have a terrible perk than a must-run perk like old Ruin/Undying was.
I disagree. There is nothing sader than useless perks forgotten withins days. Strong perks can shake the meta for a while, sometimes for the worst (Mettle of Man comes to mind), but least its something different happening. Hex: Undying was a bit too good, but at least it made totems viables for a few months. Now its been gutted and we are just back to the old Corrupt/Pop meta.
Too bad Remember Me was nerfed into the ground. Remember Me + this coulda been cute.
Well they have to go to a gate to find out its blocked, so that just means checking lockers near the gate. Plus if you are in a chase when last gen pops it gives you extra time to get that down without worrying that someone is opening a gate and having a team body block you as you go towards the gate. Throw in remeber me youve got 40+16+20 seconds that the gates wont be open after the gens are done.
They should definitely add the ability to see survivors auras once the last generator is completed.
I think you guys little bit underrating it's potential. It's not top tier perk but for like end game focused build it sounds good and even can get you some kill(s).
Survivors won't know it's active until they get there. It's 40 seconds extra of game time. Pair it with NoED for a good end game build, and it could be quite scary. Add on Remember Me, and yikes. You can also add Bitter Murmur for a fairly nasty end game build.
