  • Hackers need to be put up against bots, without them ever knowing it. Otherwise when you ban them, they'll be back with a new account in a day or two.

  • Rank is a very poor indicator of skill level now, especially, because a bunch of people got reset early.

  • Pinhead isn't fun to go against in Solo Queue tbh.

Plauge Vomits everywhere? Going to instant cleanse!

Chain Hunt active? Eh, I don't feel like picking up the box. The killer might come get me or something.

  • BHVR isn't at fault on this one. It's all on Netflix. They chose to remove the content. BHVR handled this very well, giving everyone a chance to buy the chapter at a reduced rate, as well as the cosmetics. They announced it plenty ahead of time. And they made the perks general perks so nobody will miss out on them. BHVR takes a lot of (deserved) criticism. But this isn't something they deserve flak for.

  • I think the system is fair. Why shouldn't campers face harder opponents? Clearly they aren't being challenged where they are. Same goes for people who bring all the strongest items into every game.

The only real downside is that you get a real mixed bag around middle MMR between the people who escape when they shouldn't (like the Claudette hiding in the bushes) and the gigachad who will pull off an insane play to save a teammate from a face camping bubba at his own peril and succeed.

  • Predictions:

Survivors will say the killer is OP. They'll say at least one of the killer's perks needs nerfed, but admit another needs buffed. Then they'll say that the survivor perks are garbage.

Killers will say she's weak, and needs several buffs. They'll say her perks are garbage and nobody will ever use them. Then they'll say the survivor perks are the new meta, and need nerfs.

So you're admitting that if you dont heal against legion and plagie(which is common) that they are basicly beeing robbed of their core killer mechanic? Thanks

So you're admitting you don't know the first thing about balance? Thanks.

  • This idea doesn't work.

First, Plague and Legion would become nightmares to face.

Second, too many perks give the broken status effect. Effectively killing perks like Deliverance, For The People, and making any perk that causes the broken status effect on the killer's side to be.. well Broken.

Third, it removes too much effort on the part of killers. All they have to do is go and hit survivors to remove them off gens for roughly 16 seconds. (More, depending on their perks) You'd have to nerf perks like Ruin and Undying, which punish survivors for NOT being on generators.

  • Doesn't bother me any. Just means I faced better players. Sometimes the other side is better.

  • I haven't adjusted my play style, but I've never cared about 4K. I mean why sweat not getting a 4K? It just means I'm facing players better than me. Or they have better equipment than I do in an asymmetrical game. It happens. I'm not going to lose my killer card over a 4-man escape or two.

  • Hopefully we get a Perk that blocks Totems much the way Corrupt Blocks Gens.

  • It'd just ruin the balance of the game further. Nurse is already one of the biggest problems with balancing killer perks.

  • Survivors Spawn 3/1 2/2 or 4/0. But never 1/1/1/1

  • Maybe don't bully killers who are struggling?

  • 4K challenges are still doable. Yeah, it's balanced for 2K 2E. But that doesn't mean you won't get 4K's now and again. It just means that on AVERAGE, you'll have 2k 2E (at least in theory).

    So you could have:

    4K - 4K - 0K - 0K and that'd be an average of 2 kills per match.

Or you could have 3K - 3K - 1K - 1K and have an average of 2 kills per match

    Or even 4K - 3K - 1K - 0K and have an average of 2 kills per match.

There's still some ridiculous challenges out there, but I don't think getting a 4K is quite on of them. (Honestly the hatch change is worse for 4K's than anything. You can't go find the hatch before killing the 3rd survivor, and then have to guard both exit gates and hope that you pick the right one.) I'd say the most ridiculous one is still finish 4 gens with the perk dark sense in one trial. Unless you're in an SWF it's practically undoable.

  • CoH is fine. As Scott Jund said, they should simply cap self-healing rates. That's all they really need to do.

  • Nurse - Ataxic Respiration + Torn Bookmark - Lethal Pursuer + Starstruck + Infectious Fright + Agitation - Mary's Letter

  • Killers:

    1. Jason Vorhees (Friday the 13th)
    2. Samara (The Ring)
    3. Mitochondria Eve (Parasite Eve)
    4. Candyman (Candyman)
    5. Esther (Orphan)

    Survivors

    1. Aya Brea (Parasite Eve)
    2. Elena Gilbert (The Vampire Diaries)
    3. Dean Winchster (Supernatural)
    4. Elvira (Elvira: MIstress of the Dark)
    5. Juliet Starling (Lolipop Chainsaw)
  • If you can only enjoy the game when you escape, you're playing the wrong game.

Yes, it can ruin some games. They really thought it would be fun to have a challenge to cleanse 6 totems in the new mikaela/boon totem tome. I used counterforce jill for it and everyone got mad at me in endgame chat because i effectively disabled their perks and wasted a bunch of time.

That's why I dodged every lobby with a Mikayla in it. Did all 5 totems in one match, then did one the next match.

  • Killers have enough slowdown as it is. Adding more on top of it is unnecessary. If you want to make the game better for killers, instead of adding more slowdown, here's what you do:

#1. Normalize spawns. Survivors should always spawn 3/1 2/2 or altogether. Survivors should NOT spawn in 4 different locations around the map, within eyesight of a generator or totem. Too often they're given this for free. They shouldn't be. It should be impossible for four survivors to spawn on four separate locations near four separate generators. One day BHVR will realize that spawning apart is strong for survivors.

#2. Tone down items. Med-kits should have their healing speeds reduced and capped for self-healing. Toolboxes shouldn't speed up generators, but rather prevent regression. (Toolboxes can create a shield that regression must eat through first. BNP's can prevent regression altogether up to point of installation.) Flashlights are fine. Keys need a slight buff (should have some sort of aura reading at base kit. Maybe similar to an activateable Kindred.). Maps are fine. Styptics should probably take a little longer to activate. Same for Insta-Heals.

#3. When kicking a generator, 2.5% progress should come off immediately. I guess this technically falls under more slowdown, but I'd say it's more a quality of life change that makes kicking gens worth it. 2.5% progress for a kick makes sense. No perk necessary.

Because as you are not a particular good player, you are playing at a low MMR where camping and tunneling is not necessary.

How can you expect to understand how the game works talking about your experience while you know you are not playing at a high level ?

You are facing survivors that cannot loop properly, don't do gens optimally and don't know when to save, heal or do gens... Sure you don't need to camp...

Ahh yes, the ol' MMR Argument. What's your MMR again? Oh right, you don't know. I don't know my own MMR. I get pretty good survivors. They know how to loop, for sure. Maybe you're just not as good as you think if you need to camp and tunnel?

  • People always say "You have to camp and tunnel!" But I'm not a particularly great player, and I don't camp and tunnel, and I get 6+ hooks every game, usually with at least 1 sacrifice, often 2 or 3 and sometimes 4. (Don't care enough to try to get that 4th man killed. By then, I've won). I don't even run Ruin or Pop or Corrupt Intervention. (Except on lower tier killers like Pig. Those killers need some serious changes). I never view any game as I have to get a kill. My day isn't ruined if 4 people escape. Not even my game is ruined. For every 4-man escape, there's a nearly equal number of times I get 3+ kills.

Sometimes survivors are just better. And sometimes I make mistakes. I recognize that.

If you want to camp and tunnel, that's fine. Your prerogative. Do what you want. But don't act like you have to do it.

  • Killers: You have to understand why we camp and tunnel!

    Survivors: *use DS and BT*

    Killers: *shocked pikachu face*

  • Legion, Pig, Myers. Ghostface just needs his detection fixed. Billy could use a little more control at base kit.

  • Wraith is fine. I can see why Deathslinger and Billy mains complain about their nerfs. But Wraith? It's really not a big deal. He's still a solid killer. It's okay for the game to have solid killers who aren't top tier.

  • Step 1: Monitor suspected cheaters. When caught cheating, cheaters get their accounts 'marked'

    Step 2: Create bot matches

Step 3: Marked accounts only encounter bots with fake usernames. They never talk in chat, except randomly they might accuse the hacker of hacking.

  • I'll say it again. The only change that really needs to be made is that totems need to be easier to snuff. Mainly, if I am right up against the totem, the prompt should still appear to snuff it out. Aside from that, I think boons are pretty well balanced and not OP. I've found teams as killer who, if they had just done a gen instead of blessing the totem I just snuffed out for the third time, they'd probably have a 4-man escape instead of the last person getting the exit gate (and me giving it to them because I'm nice.)

  • Zombies when you play survivor: Godly AI, seemingly coordinated with the killer to get you off gens, and do the most damage possible.

Zombies when you play Killer: An untrained monkey given backwards controls and a banana.

They're inconsistent. When they're off their game, they do nothing. When they're on their game, they're a bit overbearing. In between is where they should be.

  • I always tell toxic people to have a lovely day. So far they've always responded with "You too". I'm sure it doesn't always work. But sometimes it does.

  • Dead Hard is fine. Glad they fixed it. Now they just need to fix Survivor Spawns.

  • Killers: "Just do Bones!"

Survivors: "Okay! We'll do bones, and then bless one."

    Killers: "NOT LIKE THAT!"

  • I don't think a secondary objective would work. It'd have to be something optional, like building breakable walls, to create stronger loops.

  • It's just 5 minutes. It's only annoying when you have constant issues/crashes. I feel the escalation should be scaled down slightly, but it's otherwise pretty fair.

  • Only change I think is needed is killers should get the prompt to snuff the totem out for a longer range. Just extend it to a meter or two, so you don't have to wait for the prompt which is annoying.

What diehard swf/players would actually endure two DC penalties for a hatch, one that wouldnt even be visible until they DC as of the latest patch? If you happen to know them personally, I hope you give him lots of hugs and tuck them into bed every night.

They'd just dc anytime there's a secret offering. Easy peasey.

  • What would happen? Killer Queue times would be infinite as nobody would ever play survivor ever again. Why would you save anyone off a hook if only one person can survive? Why would you do any generators? Why wouldn't you just be a blendette in a bush or a locker for the whole game?

  • Yeah, it's a Killer only challenge. For some reason they did NOT make that super clear.

  • Built to Last is fine.

Toolboxes are the problem. They need a rework to prevent regression instead. Something like this that I saw someone suggested (modified slightly)

Normal Toolboxes no longer speed up the speed of a generator. Instead they create a 'shield' that must be eaten through before the gen starts to regress. This makes toolboxes more useful in end game, and against Ruin, but less useful for getting that first generator done fast.

BNP's when installed prevent regression past the point it's installed altogether. (This would be pretty strong, but you'd have to use it at the most opportune moment) But still get used upon use.

Med-Kits should have their healing speed reduced a bit. (Not quite to self-care levels) Keys and Flashlights are mostly fine (Flashlights shouldn't be able to blind you from super weird angles). Maps could use a slight buff, and make them more common. Maybe add a Brown Map.

  • Hex Perks for now. Boons might get up there depending on what they add, and when survivors figure out the timing behind blessings. But as of right now, hexes are stronger. Ruin + Undying can turn the tide of a match in a way that no boon can.

  • "TEN RANDOM PEOPLE WILL RECEIVE $5.00 ACTUAL VALUE FROM OUR $250 PRODUCT"

    I'm on PS5, and if I turn off crossplay, I don't find a match.

PS5 players unite! All 10,000 of us!

  • Dead Hard isn't really a problem with the game. It feels bad, but a lot of things in the game 'feel bad'. The problem with the game is survivor spawns.

  • I imagine they're small because last time they had more effects (Last Halloween) console players couldn't play the game.

  • Coup De Grace has a limit because of Myers and probably Nurse. Let's be honest. 90% of killer perks are limited because of Nurse.

  • Just now got this:

"That's what you get for not saving your teammates!"

(From someone who I literally saved. They even admitted I saved them. Apparently they were salty I didn't save them faster. They didn't even hit stage 2!) I almost suspect they were trolling.

  • It's a rare dialect called "Good Sportsmanship". You'll see it every now and then, usually from people who immigrated from Killer Main or who are from Both Sides. Sometimes you'll get native survivors who speak Good Sportsmanship. It's an easy language to learn. But sadly most people don't take the time.

  • Plague with Thana, Dying LIght, Ruin and Hysteria. It's a delicious build.

  • Killers can hit the survivor. Survivors can't hit a killer. You could just stand in front of a hook and guarantee a kill.

  • If you see a Pig who doesn't know what she's doing but still somehow gets some hooks, know it was me. Also BOOP THE SNOOT instead of Teabagging. TYVM.
