Indeed, it's part of my stealth gen jockey build.
I'm thinking about making a build around poised.
Vigil
Poised
Sprint burst
And spine chill/technician/self care.
What is your build?
-
No I'm not sure if I have that now. But I did have that teammate in the past when I was looking for a group.
-
Eventhoug I'm a survivor main I understand the struggle killers go through by talking with them on this very forum. Talking to the opposite side does wonders.
-
"Overly sweaty"? They just want to win what's wrong with that?
-
I think you have the right idea. I think I'm a take a break until the new chapter comes out as well.
-
Didn't they fix that?
-
Do you have video evidence of this counterplay?

I think we're almost to this week's quota of "Nerf Dead Hard" posts already
At this point I would be very surprised if dead hard got nerfed next patch.

Claudette at 115 with Meg on her heels at 113. These two are constantly fighting over first with Claudette besting Meg to 50 while Meg beat Claudette to 100.
Feng is the only other one to reach 100 with 101 currently.
Meanwhile the highest male is Dwight with 63 and Jake having the honor of being the only other male to reach 50 with David getting close at 44.
Interesting. What about the new survivors like elodie and felix

I began recording survivor attendance in my killer matches awhile back. Jeff rivals Quentin in being the least popular character from my personal gaming experience. Everyone else has hit double digits with several ladies hitting triple digits. Jeff and Quentin are at 9 and 7 in respected order. Pretty sure that's why he is neglected in comparison. He's just hyper unpopular which is unfortunate.
May i ask who is the most picked character?
-
Those are actually really good. Why don't other characters get cosmetics?
Like seriously the only people I see that get cosmetics is Meg, Kate, and Nea. And when ever they do do someone else it's for some nonsense special occasion.
-
I agree I'm willing to wait so that console is effected by game breaking bugs

whats PEBCAK?

Because I like to start discussions about new perks B)
Oh I'm sorry I wasn't targeting you specifically I was asking in general.
-
I don't mean to distract from the main point but why do we always have concerns over new survivor perks? Last chapter it was power struggle, and I think before it was any means necessary and for the people.
Smash hit is probably going to have the same effect.

but how do you change that perk? buff the recovery speed?
Idk probably make the survivor move slower or get broken when used.

Yeah, I know. Just curious which Perk will be next which will get hundreds of threads. Both have the potential to achieve this.
I'm betting for unbreakable to be next.

The devs already said they didn't want to put modern religions in the game. That's why the only religious killer is from the beginning of human civilization.
Why not if you don't mind me asking?
-
I would actually love to see a Latino male or a Muslim survivor. It would be nice.
-
I'm a Elodie and Adam maim and I haven't been targeted. It's most likely just a coincidence.
-
I think you've played enough for today

Even with Corrupt the totem at the start is a time waste.
Dont hide, try to take the aggro from ash.
3:28 is a lithe waste. And dont hide after that. Your scratch marks show that you stopped there. Its better to make distance against a deathslinger.
Its better to not spin against the hit. Take the hit and vault so he cant do a follow-up shot.
Thank you I will use your tips
-
This is amazing. I love everything about it but I think the perks are not good.
-
I'm so glad I don't see any Adam.

I guess I didn't put my point across well enough.
People say if you camp you have no skill, you're a bad player etc etc but all of the highest level players use these tactics because you have to. The game is unbalanced everyone knows that and at the high level you need to use every kind of strategy to win.
I'm fed up of survivors dictating what takes skill in this game. Camping 1 hook and you're terrible, meanwhile they hold W in every chase.
I played spirit with stridor because as expected it was a swf with 4 iron will. Apparently I'm terrible at the game, ok but these people all needed a perk thats nothing but "press E for another chance"? and they had iron will, think about that its just a perk that turns off sounds so killers can't hear you. These are common builds too and somehow one side has twisted the narrative so that having extra chance perks and disabling all sounds is high skill but anything on the killer side is bad? I won btw, which is funny because everyone says you're bad but they lose so what does that say.
Sometimes you need to play to your characters strengths. Imagine you're playing Bubba and you have a survivor in the basement in the Myers house and some other survivor starts tbagging, wanting you to chase them through the house of pain. Why on Earth would you take that bait? why should you put yourself in a situation that is a great advantage for the other side and throw away the great hand you have?
I'm just going to play as dirty as I want to be honest. Funny how it always ends up in disconnects though. I guess thats what happens when the developer coddles you for 4 years.
Ok so your saying your tired of survivor hypocrisy of them pointing out strategies that take no skill without looking at their own no skill strategies.
-
In my opinion camping takes no skill. Like seriously what is skillful about staying in one place for a long time to get 1 kill because you protected the hook? And most it's effective because survivors make it effective I survivors weren't too altruistic then it would not work well.
Tunneling I could maybe see taking skill because it's chase oriented, but camping no I don't see it.
To me holding w and camping are comparable because they both take no skill to do and is effective when done.

Luckily this doesn't happen too often and I did make a report of this, but just an example of real toxicity.
Omg that's terrible. I'm sorry that happened to you.

I can't wait for the spotlight trailer.

Well they still kept the DS in the locker so I'm happy still.

that Blood Warden would be too op ngl..i could quite literally just slug and wait out the end game timer and pretty much 4k every time..
Your right. I have a bad habit of making perks ridiculous overpowered. I will think of something else.

@dspaceman20 i know.. today i let one of them bleed.. 3 guys where playing as a team, thought he would be part of them.. after the game he texted me "the floor was cold 🤣" to my surprise he took it well.. i actually said sorry to him.. he took it like a champ..
I think overtime you get used to the nonsense. I got teabagged by a ghost face while on the hook and I just said gg to him. He said it back.
-
I would say it's fine as the chance to 4% is incredibly low and only increase due to addon and perks.
-
I would say to just limit the number of time you can use dead hard. 3 uses and afterwards that's it. You permanently have the exhaustion status.

A little, but data breaches are pretty commonplace these days, if there is no personal or financial data involved I wouldn't be too worried.

It's fine man, don't worry about it. There is nothing there of any real value.
Your console name is already public to literally everyone and anyone you interact with, what system you are playing on is hardly of any value to anyone, and your DBD ID is literally ONLY for DBD and BHVR knows all 30,000 of the affected ID's so nothing can be done with that information and they can easily address that without any problem on our end.
Your in-game username you can change to literally whatever you want so I mean....there really was nothing of value or concern taken here. You can breathe easy.

It's not that scary at all. This kind of stuff happens all the time, and most of the time the hackers can't do much with the information anyways. That or your information doesn't mean much. Very rarely is information used to do things. It would be scary if this happened to steam or like an email service/banking or whatever.
Well that's a relief. Thank you.
But I wonder if they hacked it because they were angry at the game. Maybe a killer or survivor who got fed up and took it out on behavior.
-
Well that's scary
-
I'm a survivor main but I'm not toxic. There are some of us that are good I promise.
-
I love it. The games have been fun and intense and I actually feel like I'm getting better. I hope they stick with this.
-
I think its going well. At first it was wierd getting yellow rank killers but now I getting killers that are really good and intense to play against. I honestly like it.

Nobody runs Babysitter.
I know which is a shame because it seems like a good perk.
-
@Seraphor said:
Borrowed Time should reveal your aura to the killer for the duration of the effect, so the killer knows to go for you. There we go, flawless anti-tunnel perk, they always go for the unhooker. If that's too much of a cost for the person running it, add in some bonus BP like WGLF or BBQ.
Babysitter already does that

Urban Evasion is great if you know when to use it. Because of this, Urban Evasion usually gets a bad rep as most people use it when it isn't necessary at all.
If the killer is around or you're actively dodging hatchets against a Huntress with it, that's great. But Urban Evading when the killer is camping across the map/letting a teammate hit 2nd hook instead of preserving time by running is just absurd.
Yeah I agree. At that point your not using urban evasion right. Your just being useless.

because usually its for people that are not that good but that's not always the case, it has its uses and its fine if you use it
I used to be really bad a chases. But overtime I got better at it.
-
Well after rank reset rank 5. Why do you ask?

Wow these are very reasonable opinions, I can understand both sides. And I totally understand why some wouldn't like stealth.
Keep giving me your opinions, but for those that do also see stealth as viable or enjoy it; what would you suggest to make it more viable in the current meta?
I think its as viable as it can be. There is an assortment of perks and strategies that helps being stealthy really effective.
I think the reason why people don't like stealth is because of the stigma behind it. Everyone has been annoyed by that useless teammates urban evading without helping. But I would say that there are effective ways to use stealth without being useless.
-
I personally think it's fine but if I were to change it I would limit the number of time you can use dead hard. 3 token and afterwards you permanently have the exhaustion status effect.
This makes it skill based for survivors and killers.
Although I would prefer they fix the perk first.
-
I like playing stealthy. I find it fun.

actually yes it is. Often when I get camped and tunneled and I end up escaping. At the exit gate its perfectly fine to click all you want. Its called karma
Well I guess this is were we can respectively disagree because I don't think bad actions deserve equally bad actions. But that's just me.
-
@CanWeGetANewMap said:

ok well its annoying for the killer either way so...
Doesn't justify being annoying to anyone else. The same logic can be applied to survivors who were tunneled.
"You tunneled me so therefore I'm going to flashlight click and teabag at you any chance I get" they were annoyed so therefore it was justified right?
-
@CanWeGetANewMap said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/235396/why-do-i-get-camped-for-flashlight-saving
you annoyed the killer, he will annoy you simple as that
But the intention behind the flashlight save wasn't to be annoying it was to save your teammate.
-
I like playing against the twins. It's fun and I started using unbreakable more.
