The only 2 hook criteria for the emblem system in place are 1 point after 9 hooks and 1 point for hooking everyone once. DC/Kill/Sacrifice award 2 points no matter the number of hooks. The only way to remove someone from the game without piping is to let them bleed out.

In the video you can see that they dc`d and i did not bleed them out.

  • @UnentitledBunnyMan said:

Piping in this game is not a bonus but malus. U r just making your game boring if u insist ranking up

didn't make the game boring, in fact they made it boring for me since they dc'd

Ive noticed people kinda just hate on demogorgon calling him an under average killer and just overall not that good, I honestly dont know why as he has map mobility, hes fun to play, he has great synergy with perks, he can basically become blight for about 2 seconds with his shred attack, why is he considered bad? someone please explain.

good killer if you play him well, rat tail and rat liver should be base though or at least one of them, its a hassle how i have to bring at least one of them every game

    Hex: Impediment

A hex that stops the survivors from progressing further through the trial.

Once 1 generator is left to be repaired this hex is activated and is transferred to a random dull totem.

Any generator that reaches 75% progress or more will automatically be blocked by the entitiy for 30/40/50 seconds or until the hex is destroyed.

The blocked generator will be shown to you in a white aura

    Solitude

You do everything in your power to escape persecution.

When you enter a locker press the activate ability button to call apon the entity to block the locker your in for 15/20/25 seconds.

During this time you cannot be taken out or leave the locker until the timer is done.

Solitude has a cooldown of 25 seconds after leaving the locker.

    How are these ideas.

this is unnecessary just fix gen speeds all together. I cant stop bringing perks to accommodate to gen speeds

  • surprisingly good, I am a killer with alot of hours and consider myself very good. I constantly was versing 4 man swf's and even if i versed solo queue survivors, they were pretty good at looping and efficient on gens. Cant believe im saying this but finally you did a good mmr system. If any of my thought change I will be back.

I hate the perk with a passion.

Most infuriating part about it is perfectly predicting a survivor, be it breaking LOS to approach a different angle or making a good read with your power, only to have them press the "mistake eraser button" and extend the loop to an annoying amount of time.

Seeing as it's run nearly every high rank game, I am of the opinion it should be changed in some way (Make it for only distance or only dodging for example)

People only use it for distance anyway, if you swing and the survivor dead hards to miss an attack that's honestly your fault.

  • @UnentitledBunnyMan said:

They need to add a skill check for trapper's traps and if survivor fail he will get trapped lol

    L O L

  • because usually its for people that are not that good but that's not always the case, it has its uses and its fine if you use it

  • @dspaceman20 said:

I like using it and it's help me a lot to be stealthy especially near a gen the killer kicked. I know the stigma behind it being terrible and encouraging terrible boring gamplay but if used right it can be really good. Does anyone else like it or am I the only person?

    what rank are you

so how do you throw pallets down while you do a skill check?

  • @MigrantTheGreat said:

At least a skill check adds a risk to the perk rather than no risk when its being used for distance.

it was a joke, how tf will you do a skill check LOL

this question's mainly for killers, but i guess it can go out to survivors too

if you see a survivor burn an event offering like a gateau, do you decide to just drop all pretense and start actively grinding out as many BP as you can? or do you just play normally?

i want to get an idea of how common this is

    Play normally

  • @sad_killer_main said:

I was tired of getting gen rushed by the classic speedrunners, so I decided to play some Freddy.

Guess what, I got paired with a 4 man death squad and not even Freddy can stop that. They were doing literally what they wanted the whole game, and I had 0 chance to do anything.

I'm starting to remember why I uninstalled the game months ago.

Get a grip, first of all. You did not do a good job of pressuring gens and I can tell you that because I play against 4 mans swf's all the time with demo and do fine. Secondly, Its sad how you just hopped on Freddy to try and stop gens. if stopping gens is your biggest problem with the game, either change your build, or pressure gens better. Third, I know you dont get gen rushed all the time because its actually very rare to get actually 'gen rushed" and you have to accept the fact that your gen pressure sucks

  • @Brokenbones said:

Honestly I am okay with this

Not everyone has the time to complete the rifts and not everybody cares about the challenges, having the option to buy those cosmetics (VERY) later down the line is okay

I just hope they aren't using this as an excuse to skimp on actual new content and are instead recycling old content. I've seen them recycling dbd mobile skins into the game for rifts and that's kinda sad

Oh yeah I agree, i love the option to buy these cosmetics later. Its that there advertising it as "exclusive" which kinda makes me upset.

Use a projectile killer easy, including; deathslinger, Trickster, Huntress, Plague, Pyramid head, Demo(to bait), I don't see the problem. If you are not using one of these killers, to bad because just either leave chase or spend the extra 15-20 seconds Jesus

  • has no counter play? Every projective killer in the game including (pyramid head) laughs.

  • @Kyledbd said:

When in a 1v1 situation and the hatch is closed it becomes very easy for the killer to gaurentee the last survivor doesn't escape simply by exploiting the endgame timer and by monitoring the exit gate door lights.

When the exit gate is your only option for escape you need to open the gate bit by bit always hiding when the killer comes to check so you can continue on with your gate progression when the killer leaves.

But all the killer has to do is find out which gate you are working on then camp it knowing by now you won't be able to finish the gate you started on and also won't have enough time to sneak away without the killer seeing you or hearing you and be able to cross the map, find the other door and complete the progression from 0% all over again.

This becomes alot easier because of the doors progression lights. It allows a killer to actually travel a very short distance between doors only having to travel close enough to each door to be able to have view of the lights. Once the killer sees the lights they know which door you are working on and it's game over... Atleast in most situations.

What does everyone think? Should they remove the progression lights or is there a trick I'm yet to learn for these situations.

I bet 99% of people didn't read this essay because this topic is ridiculous to be fair

Doesn't justify being annoying to anyone else. The same logic can be applied to survivors who were tunneled.

"You tunneled me so therefore I'm going to flashlight click and teabag at you any chance I get" they were annoyed so therefore it was justified right?

actually yes it is. Often when I get camped and tunneled and I end up escaping. At the exit gate its perfectly fine to click all you want. Its called karma

  • @EvanRaven said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2028807#Comment_2028807

bodyblocking is a strat that can save teammates from hooks or taking a hit near the exit to save them. it's annoying to go against but to throw a game because somebody got a lucky flash on you or something. kinda immature

ye no crap its immature, but he payed for this game and honestly he can do whatever he wants. And camping is strategic aswell. I can bet it was also at the end of the game when you pretty much have to camp so... I dont promote camping, but if the killer feels like you deserved it or theres no other options, that fine.

  • its not being a #########, but just like body blocking, its annoying as ######### and so the killer will make you suffer. You take that chance when you flashlight save. If you dont like the odds, dont flashlight save

  • @dspaceman20 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2028793#Comment_2028793

But the intention behind the flashlight save wasn't to be annoying it was to save your teammate.

ok well its annoying for the killer either way so...

  • @EvanRaven said:

i was playing with a friend today and 2 games in a row the killer facecamped me because i flashlight saved him once. just once. i used to be a killer main so i get flashlights can be a nuisance but i literally didn't do anything that would be classed as 'toxic'. when i got unhooked in one game i got straight tunneled (i never use this term, but it did feel like it as killer completely ignored everyone else) even after ds still chases me. +hitting me on the hook and nodding. i died on my 1st hook in the other game. literally for flashlight saving. ? why?

you annoyed the killer, he will annoy you simple as that

  • @dspaceman20 said:

Wasn't that nerf to the addon a bit justified? I heard that it took away skill because all the killer had to do was aim it at the ground and get extra damage in.

ye it was definitely no skill and I agree it shouldve been removed. But they did not compensate it and now hes just even weaker.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2023409#Comment_2023409

Uhh the pallet perk now lasts 4s

they changed the gate block 10s base and an extra 4s per a unique survivor hooked so that also got nerfed

the gate perk got buffed, its extra 4 seconds at tier 1, tier 3 is 8. SO its a 2 second buff dude

  • you can make doctors terror radius very big and the exposed perk "starstruck" is based around your terror radius

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2023412#Comment_2023412

Ideally yes, but his basekit needs a buff, he doesn't justify the 110 movement speed imo.

Something that might be more fun imo is:

    • Buff his MS to 115
    • Make his m1 take apply laceration instead of doing damage (this means it would take like, 4 hits to down base)

This makes him an actual unique killer compared to others.

If his m1 took 4 to down, He would be the worst killer still. Even if hes 120% 4 is just way to much. maybe 3

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Yeah it's honestly really frustrating because this is the most clear they have ever made it, that they do not care what any of us say and have no intention of really listening at all.

So I'm not going to bother with PTB feedback going forward; it's clear there is no point in doing so.

No but if its a licensed chapter, they will take all the feedback so were happy and give them MONEY

  • @Mooks said:

so just for clarification, the only thing that was nerfed was the addon right? Or did I miss anything?

yes it was just the add-on

  • Clearly the dev's wont add this change in. They have stated that what they are doing to keys is complex and that's why its taking time. Adding an unlock wouldn't take much time so I can tell you this is not getting added. Also, I don't think this will stop the issue with keys.

I stopped using Hex Third seal because of this - it was too strong, against solos especially, and on many maps. I ended up having people die on first hook and that's no good for anyone.

What rank are you playing at if you think third seal is too strong?

  • @IWasLeft2Die said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2018472#Comment_2018472

No I don't slug and let people die. The last game I had a 4k and depiped with having 10 hooks (not hook states). Seems like It happened mostly due to downing survivors without chasing (sneak and hit a survivor) so I didn't get the short chase bonuses. Didn't camp either

Regardless of how a killer achieves it, if a killer gets a 4k and stops all gens from being done there isnt a good reason for killers to not pip and I've had plenty of times I've depiped with this with even more safety pips. This is with multiple killers as well (Michael, wraith, freddy, leatherface, and hag). Why should killers "lose" for working efficiently?

Survivors do have a much easier time piping which is why emblems need evaluated. Killers emblems are dependent on survivors unhooking, the killers score for gens very quickly drops (due to gens done fast typically), and if you are using particular killers they aren't designed to fulfill emblems (like hag won't get chase points since it's not how she is designed)

They expect us to extend the game even though we can end it right there. I'm playing this game for fun, and extended a match unnecessarily is really boring.

Why is a single skin, cost more than a dlc. How is that even possible, that a skin that may have not that much effort into making it cost more than a killer. And before the typical fanboy comes and says "you don't have to buy it", what kind of player doesn't want to look good, have you play anything else besides dbd, do you know how online games works. who doesn't want to look like a badass, but behaviour needs that much money to fix the game, oh wait you don't need it for that. you have enough to fix the entire game in a week. but success have arrive to your head right. A shame.

Okay but its true you don't have to buy it, and if you really care about looking good in this game LOL, just buy cosmetics with shards. At least they give you a chance to earn them for free unlike a lot of other games.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/234376/is-ghost-face-ever-going-to-get-fixed

That video is a great exemple of what not to do. You just need to orient your camera so that Ghostface his at the center of you screen, with most of his body visible. At no point during that video was that Ghostface ever properly centered. He was either too high or on a side.

Just tilt your view angle a bit, its really not that hard and you know you are doing it right because of the audo cue.

The reveal mechanic work, you just have to learn how to do it properly.

But I saw him. That's my point of this reveal mechanic making no sense.

  • @Predated said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2017279#Comment_2017279

I mean, if the killer is terrible and survivors are able to escape within 2 minutes, they also depip. So fair is fair, if you rush the game for no reason other than rushing it, you get a depip.

The devs intent for killers to toy around with survivors, and they intent for survivors to distract the killer as much as possible. Perhaps instead of dead hooking, you could have slugged them to keep the upperhand while trying out something new. A lot of people complain that this is essentially "giving players a chance on a comeback", but to me, that is a bullshit reason. Do you not want a challenge? Do you want wins to be handed to you? If you want to challenge yourself as a killer, you want to make the match last as long as possible for a chance to be challenged. You could always kill 1 survivor early and turn it into a 1v3 if they are getting too much control of the game.

If you dont care for being challenged, then simply eat the depip and stop complaining. Because if you dont care about challenge in the game, why care about the pip system? Rank doesnt display skill anyway. Might aswell sweep lobbies with rank 20 survivors as you dont care for a challenge.

I am not going to force a challenge onto myself. If i can win the game right now I will. A true challenge is actually challenging not making it a challenge. That's really stupid how I should just extend the game to "challenge" myself.

  • @Kirkylad said:

The devs are trying to incentivise both sides to have fun so if a team of survivors rush gens in 3 mins and get out they will likely depip because no one had any real fun that match. Same as if a killer slugs and has everyone dead in 3 mins they will do the same.

But I didn't slug, they killed themselves on hook. Out of my control

  • @Deathslinger_Main said:

I play at rank 3 now, and only on my endgame builds do I run NOED. It provides one insta down, and if I'm playing against competent survivors, it'll get broken after I hook that person. That's why NOED, past rank 8, is not a good perk. I dont know why survivors complain about it as much as they do, it secures a 1k for bad killers. Would my fellow rank 10+ killer/survivor players be down to convert it to a non hex perk that only activates when there is two generators left, and grant's NOED's speed boost only (4%), to help patrol the last gens better. That way on 110% killers, they can have better pressure in the later stages of the game, without survivors complaining, and not rewarding bad gameplay.

No, can we change the 50 other useless killer perks first.

  • @danielmaster87 said:

Only half the problem with abusing "aNtI tUnNeL" perks was solved with the DS nerf. People are still doing the same stuff they were doing before with BT still intact.

BT needs deactivation conditions as well. If you're taking a protection hit, you're not being tunneled. If you're working on a gen, you're not being tunneled. If you're picking someone up off the ground, you're not being tunneled. But BT let's survivors get away with all of this.

The protection hit is the most annoying thing because that's what BT used to do: give BT to the unhooked person AND the rescuer. Turns out even after the nerf from way back when, it's still being used that way: protecting unsafe unhookers. No risk, all reward.

You don't even have to be camping or tunneling for it to activate. If a survivor gets unhooked within 32 meters of you, they get Mettle of Man for free. For those who say to slug people you think have DS, we don't even get to that step half the time because BT blocks it.

I know, I know. "Killers will never be satisfied." "The devs pander to killers." "The game is fine." But that's what people said when infinites were in the game, too.

If its really that bad, bring Insidious. Or a stealth killer (half of the killers in the game).

  • @IronWill said:

We will see a huge increase of no obsession games cause people will stop wasting a perk slot on this perk, which will lead to a increase of tunneling. They are gonna buff DS back like the previous times they nerfed it.

Various threads have been dedicated to Pig's high pick- and kill-rate.

They pretty much all fund two main factors:

    1. A lot of pig players will tunnel someone with a trap on
    2. a lot of survivors will pop gens when someone has a trap on

    The easiest solution should be:

If you get a fancy hat, you can not do gens, but you can also not get knocked down. Sure, this doesn't stop your teammates from doing gens, or you from abusing it to bodyblock (after all, you still need to get that thing off), but I'd say at bottomline it could make Pig games a little fairer?

If you think pig isnt fair to play against. Play at rank 1 for gods sake

  • this is not a priority patch. this does not effect gameplay.

Able to teleport instantly to survivor’s objective and use perks to stop or remove objective progress is way too much and oppressive. BBQ is way too strong on him as well as POP and Tinkerer and all the gen perks. Ability to spam snares to prevent looping with no cooldown is too much. It is too much that a perk tells him where to go and he can instantly teleport completely across the map.

The devs announced he is getting nerfed but I am concerned they won’t do enough. He needs a major overhaul, I wouldn’t mind something similar to old Freddy where he has to actually put people to sleep. The teleports needs to go because it is too much advantage with aura and slowgen perks.  Having two powers is too much because most killers have only one power.

His killrates are astronomical. Devs gave official stats of where more than 3 out of 4 is sacrificed on average and this is with the hatch. This is red ranks where everyone knows how to play. It’s very rare for the gates to be opened with Freddy and that really needs to change.

He doesn't have any skill to him, that's the problem. You cant say his power is OP NERF, because with that logic, we would nerf nurse. He needs to be changed so he has a skillful power

  • Just name this thread. THE SOLO QUEUE EXPERIENCE

  • I also rarely see him probably 1/20 games. However I also find him really hard to reveal. I don't think he's much of a problem though. Pretty average killer.

  • @Superyoshiegg Well, the nurse wears a nurse outfit IN GAME. the doctor uses shock therapy which is a real thing, Clown laughs, and dresses like a clown IN GAME, and legion(well he doesn't count, I cant believe you even mentioned him) Trickster doesn't even dress like a trickster.

  • Yes, I agree with you. I suggest you don't care about rank because it LITERALLY DOES NOTHING.

  • Am I the only person in the world that thinks Demo is fine where he is. The only change I think he needs is better add-ons as his best are grey. That's it!

  • I am a doctor main and have been for a while. First, if your not already I would highly recommend using whispers on him, as well as the grey or yellow addon that allows your shock to be further in range. These are very helpful and will shorten chases by a ton. Secondly, A lot of people don't think doctor is a high skill capped killer but trust me he is. Your shocks and there timings will just come with practice and soon like me, you'll know where to shock at every loop to shut it down.
