I'm going to be running distortion from now on
-
This is great we love representation.
-
Well usually when I'm exposed I just play really careful and sometimes hide if I need to.
The problem your describing seem to be because of your teammates.
-
I think self care is fine. It's that people don't know when to use it. Sure there are other options but self care has infinite heals.
However if I'm running self care it's probably best to run Botany Knowledge to save time.
-
I absolutely don't like swamp. It's terrible and I hope it gets a rework

Not to mention how they keep managing to make environmental hitboxes wierd when they rework maps. Huntress and deathslinger are still screwed over by stupid hitboxes on autohaven loops.
Yeah. I think it effects survivors too. Sometimes i get stuck on random things when running from the killer. One time on the new chaple map I was looping a doctor by shack and somehow I got stuck on the wall and I got hit.
-
I think its the same reason for why other maps are bad after the rework. They keep focusing on how the maps looks and not enough on how the balanced the map is.
Imo the maps looks great visually but the balance of the maps I what make it irrelevant.
-
I would use second wind more but that healing requirement is a bit much. its weird it doesn't work with For the people that would be great

Having the tome being called "Deliverance" and giving Adam nothing was the biggest disappointment this entire rift.
exactly. Just terrible
-
of course its lacking. Lacking in Adam and good Elodie cosmetics
-
I agree. Its so annoying to have a post and have no one read it and then say some nonsense.
Also can we also take a minute to talk about the annoying trolls that come on and insult one side and create more divide in the community. I can't tell you how tired i am of the us vs them post.
-
I hope they implement the new boon totems for survivors.
-
Remember when people said counterforce would be op?

It’s unlikely fnaf would be a chapter since they really aren’t any survivor candidates
If that's the case then it's a no from me. No survivor no exceptions.
-
I wish I would but sadly I'm on console.
-
As a survivor main i don't know understand why either. It's not that big of a deal as items are extremely easy to come by.
-
To be honest I honestly don't know how I feel about FNAF. I mean it is horror but I'm more concerned about the audience it will bring. Most likely more children since I have seen children like it the most.
If it's done right I guess it's fine. As long as we have a survivor.
But wouldn't the new chapter be original instead of licensed since we have a pattern of once per year.

general question : )
Well I'm not sure since I don't really act like most survivors but I'm going to assume it's because they are jerks.
-
Idk I don't act that way. You should probably ask the toxic ones

SWF simultaneously boost ppl way above their rank and reward toxic behaviors. That is all.
How does it reward toxic behavior? What about it I toxic?
The people can be toxic sure but nothing about swf is inherently toxic.

Huh?
Rookie Spirit is a great info perk, especially for solo.
- it can potentially tell you the killers movements.
- find a gen if having difficulty finding one, and it’s also telling you those gens should have priority.
- It tells you when teammates are leaving gens when Ruin is active.
Really. When I was watching gameplay of it it seemed lack luster.
And doesn't other perks do those things better like Alert and Visionary?
-
Yeah its pretty underrated. I have escaped and helped others escape with it on especially if you can't find hatch.

Thank you, now I'll know what to reply to people demanding NOED nerf and such.
@HaunterofShadows said:
Probably when noed gets nerfed
I don't think it's best to compare noed to dead hard. Both may be second chance perks but they have really distinct differences.
-
I'm actually really interested in boon totems and how they work.

Power Struggle? I like that a lot. Hmmmm maybe Lightweight, Flip Flop, & Tenacity. LW ofc can be subbed out (Vigil)? But putting smash hit in a Power Struggle build is awesome. Purposely position to get yourself downed by a pallet, and if others happen to be around- the killer will be nervous to pick you up right away giving you time to build meter. Get picked up, BOOM- power struggle & smash hit combined for MAJOR distance! I like this one a lot- thanks! Going to use that soon after I prestige a couple of more chars.
It was really fun when I used it. My build for it was Smash Hit, Tenacity, Flip Flop, and Power struggle.
-
@KerJuice said:
I don’t think these synergize well, bro. Everything is random like you said. What kind of data are you looking for to report back? Fun? Usefulness? Escape percentage going up, down, or remaining the same?
I changed the build up a but based on what people have said.
I think I'm looking for both fun and usefulness.

I need to start using it again and create a build with it. I forgot how decent that perk is.
I made a build with smash hit and power struggle. Other then that I think smash hit is a stand alone perk that doesn't synergize with much.

It's not the worst build, but not much meat there either. Iron Will currently is bugged so you make no sound at all apparently not even just from walking or running. Lithe's fine, but I would have went with Sprint Burst. This build might be alright if you play with a group, but solo I wouldn't run it without swapping something for Adrenaline and either Bond or Kindred. That's just my take.
I think your right. I usually play in a group witch give me more freedom to experiment with builds like this. I might need to swap something.
-
@1miko said:
You could at least explain what's the point of those all perks together.
I have a habit of trying out mostly random perks to see what combines well.
I put Blood Pact for some aura reading and healing coverage
Iron will for stealth as well as to make being injured more bearable at least untill I'm healed with Blood Pact
Lithe for some distance since I consider it a great exhaustion perk
And Rookie Spirt to sorta help find generators but mainly for the reasons mentioned above (I know there are way better options)
-
I always thought smash hit was good. It really helps you get away when you need too.
-
It's a great perk that I use from time to time as well. But the problem people have with it is timing. People don't know when it's the best time to heal and when to do other things.
-
To be honest i don't remember the last time anyone even played a fog offering. they seem utterly useless and a relic of the past they need to defiantly get around in taking out or putting a new spin on
-
I don't think this can work based on what others have said
The only meaningful way to stop tunneling is to slow the game down. I'm going to assume that most killers tunnel because of how fast gens seems to go by. The more gens are completed the more the killer is going to Tunnel in order to get an advantage. So if there is a way to slow down the game then killers would find tunneling as unessacary since they have the time to get 12 hooks. This is ignoring tunneling to be toxic though.
-
I'm annoyed it's only for Meg. It would be great for other survivors too.
-
Myth: That all survivor mains are entitled and terrible.
Truth: There are some of us who are genuinely kind. Not all of us are toxic.
-
I mean I wouldn't really call myself entitled despite being a survivor main.
Sorry for being a survivor main I guess
-
A good original chapter that is not riddled with bugs and good and fun perks
-
to be honest i don't really have a problem with noed. Its a annoying perk but i find it fair. one tip that really helps against noed is that for every gen that is done the survivors should prioritize one totem. This has helped alot against noed
-

Lol remember when they nerfed her? Remember when they thought that a low mid/low tier killer was strong enough to warrant a nerf? I don't think they'll be buffing her any time soon unfortunately.
If you can explain. How was pig in the past when she first came out and what warranted the nerf.
-
I like it. It's definitely a solid perk but I still feel detectives hunch is overall better imo. Counterforce is really good with Inner Strength though.

Unless the completely re-design the game, yes, one side will always receive the short end of the stick.
@GeneralV said:
I believe your question doesn't have an actual answer, because of its highly subjective tone.
For example, return the game to Patch 1.8.0 and I will have A LOT of fun, both as survivor and killer. But this is for me, other people would prefer other versions, or maybe even the current state of the game with a few changes.
You can't exactly make the game fun when everyone has a different definition of what is fun and what isn't.
Ok so maybe fun wasn't the right word. What about function and fair to a acceptable standard?
-
@Pulsar said:
They can't.
That post highlights some of the reasons why. The Killer can be subjected to extreme emotional stress and Survivors can be denied the ability to play the game.
So is dbd just doomed to be unfun for one side with no hope of saving it.
-
I admit I do this but it's not intentional most of the time. Sometimes i don't know or realize a person is there.
-

Killers always knew there were problems but its not their fault so you really cant blame them for it.
No but I can blame them for not helping in advocating for better hit validation for both sides. You said ii yourself that killers new of the problem, so that means they abused pallets in there favorite knowing full well they wouldn't work for survivors.
-
I'm a survivor main.
I main 2 survivors at the moment. Adam and Elodie.
-
I'm a survivor main so I don't think I'm the best at builds for killers. But have fun.
