Why are you using premonition when spine chill exists? Genuine question.

I personally prefer Premonition because it gives me a general direction. This is valuable information to me because it can influence my next choice.
Also, smart stealth killers know now to play around Spinchill if they suspect it's in play. They can't counterplay premonition.
Basically this. Thank you for understanding @FrenziedRoach

Same reason why people hate survivors that sit on gens, or killers that tunnel off hook.
I think its because of these. If you notice all of these perks is mostly ment to counter the most effective strategies both sides have.
Survivors gen rushing and killers tunneling.

Is this a survivor vs killer post? I'm not sure

I think OP means it notifies all survivors noed is in play as soon as the generator pops, similar to how Rancor works.
Yes this is what I meant

Wouldn't the best solution be to buff totem hunting perks to make them more appealing to survivors?

They're disliked mainly because of their toxic reputation.
You remember that one youtuber who called himself "The toxic Claudette" and would post videos of him going against noob killers and him escaping every game to make the viewers falsely perceive him as some dbd god? If not, well good, because he didn't help with that reputation either and it even influenced a lot of his fan-base to be like that.
Are you talking about ochido?

If people want to use strong perks to win then that's fine. I use meta perks as survivors. But it would be good if players (not just killers) would expand out a bit and try different builds. Doing it is good for both sides. This is ignoring most of the bad perks though.
I just hope that people stop judging people from running the builds that they want and not be hypocritical. If killers can run meta perks then they shouldn't complain about survivors running meta perks and vice versa.

same reason stridor got nerfed, to be garbage.
the difference was stridor was only relevant on 1 killer and not meta and iron will is meta
guess only killer perks should be garbage
Then revert back the stridor nerf then since no one wanted it. Making perks garbage doesn't help anything.
And besides people were complaining about iron will before the stridor nerf so what about that?

The only "counterplay" you mentioned is Plague and Nemesis causing the survivor to cough
The others do absolutely nothing to cause the survivor to make sound when they're injured, sound is pretty damn important and the fact that there's a perk that completely rids a killer of one of their senses is REALLY dumb.
Would nerfing it in any way make it garbage? Yes, most likely. But a perk like this with no downsides or requirements shouldn't be in the game to begin with
If nerfing it would make it garbage then why nerf it at all? Are survivors not allowed to have strong perks?
-
Using a roulette is fun. I think I will try it out today.
-
Please no. It's one of the only thing survivors have that provide meaningful stealth.
-
God these are amazing

I will definitely be doing Survivor Perks as well. This project took me 5 hours, and I had no breaks lol. So I will get it out as soon as I can. Thanks for reading.
Ok thanks. These were really interesting. As a survivor main I would love buffed perks for both sides.
-
Can you do survivor perks next?

I wouldn’t say useless as killers still kick gens regardless of having pop or not.
most of the time I play the killer don' t kick the gens. its a waste of time for them because its so slow.
-
I'm going to say no as its going to leave perks like repressed alliances and blast mine more useless and situational.
-
I think I can understand the perks but why buff demo any further? he is fine now isn't he
-
They could have a challenge to do but if not that then yes i say those survivors are jerks. just ignore those type of survivors
-
No i disagree. Both sides should be on equal terms. in other words 4 survivors should be on the same level as one killer. one side should not be completely dominating the other side that just makes the other side unfun.
I'm concerned by what you mean by challenging because i feel currently escaping is already challenging and rewarding. what do you mean by challenging? the killer completely dominating making it nearly impossible to escape?
-
Don't you think your expecting too much. Think about it how is the survivor supposed to know they are going for the achievement?
Not everything the survivor does is to screw over the killer.

Oh jesus another NOED thread.... I love how the narrative is "NOED encourages bad killers" meanwhile survivors are allowed to use all of their second chance meta perks whenever they want and it's not an issue.
Point is WHO CARES?! So what, both sides have second chance crutch perks. Get over it! If you can't counter something easy like NOED then maybe it's not the killer who's bad, maybe it's you? Same with killers. DH and Adrenaline are annoying as hell, but so what? They're in the game, adapt and learn to play around it. Damn, y'all complain over the dumbest things. Just play the game however you want. If it's available in game for you to use then it's fair game to use. Period. End of discussion. Move on.
Did you read the post at all?
-
Does anyone know if you can play the ptb on windows?

Well I uh. Got a 3k with demo because of noed, it's going pretty well lol not normally a perk I use but I'm basically starting from scratch with demo since I never really committed to him until now. But yes, fine day thanks. I hope you are doing well. ❤️
That's nice.

Sadly, the "us vs. them" posts are quite frequent here. As if all those toxic survivors never played killer or vice versa.
"Survivors" are players. "Killers" are players. And toxic players will be toxic, no matter what role they play.
I've had SWF mock my rank 16 potato Huntress, and I've also had SWF help me make a couple of extra BPs with my baby Trapper with tier 1 perks.
I also faced killers that would slug a team and walk around us nodding until we died and other killers that would farm with us when someone ragequitted.
If we only focus on the negative side of the player base we're missing out on the majority of people that play just to have fun.
I agree completely.
-
Idk I'm a survivor main. But if I played killer I probably would have just stayed by the hook. It could have prompted the other survivors to come to you to get more kills.
This is what I would have done but ultimately idk. I play survivor not killer.
-
I'm not toxic or at least I don't think I am.
I generally try my best to not be toxic or annoying to other players.
Can you at least not imply that all survivors are toxic?
-
Yes I think they should. The fact that one side can completely shift the balance towards their side because they choose the map is a bit unfair. Untill maps are more balanced for both sides I say just retire the offerings untill then.
-
Ummm. Well you see.

I really liked this outfit and I think it came during a Binding of Kin chapter? I just started playing this game during that chapter and didn’t know it would only appear on the rift pass. Also why is Shirtless David look different? It seems like the devs made him less muscular and way too thin.
I hate the new David. He doesn't have abs anymore and he looks less muscular.

It is a part of the "small pp build" which basically just lets you have old MoM or BT whenever you get up.
It'd be fine if it gave Endurance but removed collision for its duration.
Can we stop with this small pp build nonsense?
Stop insulting people for running the perks that they want.

I don't think Deliverance needs a buff it's pretty strong and fair.

I like Trickster, but I understand people who don't. I hate Freddy for instance, he disgusts me.
I'm still playing when I'm against him, because not everything is done to please my personal taste. And I'm happy for people who like the license and the character.
If I don't like, I don't buy, and that's all!
I agree i like trickster and feel he fits well.
-
1. I will farm whenever the killer wants too.
2. I won't teabag and/or flashlight click.
3. I will give my item to them
4. I would let them kill me to get a few points.
5. If they need help on a challenge I will help them
6. I don't play killer but my friends do so they would give the killer tips on how to play better.
-
So may i ask what sort of counterplay do you want from the survivors when going against these killers, other then "moving erratically"
Also how does it take no skill?
-
Are you serious??? It's still bugged even after I made a complaint about it?

Why would DC for one side be any different than for the other? Is it another "us" vs "them" concept?
You should see the conversation I had with another here. It's just weird how if the killer DC it's justified because they had a bad day or bad game but if the survivors DC then they are immediately insulted and frowned upon.
It's just a stupid double standard I notice
-

running information perks is a dead giveaway that the person is not in a SWF: alert, kindred, bond, empathy, spine chill .. etc.
if you're a killer and it seems like they just have good communication (or ESP), checking their perks post game they always have BT, DS, IW, all meta perks with absolutely zero info perks. and maybe 1 person designated as totem killer with small game, or the like.
Not necessarily. I'm in a swf group and I still fun information perks. Mainly because even with people talking to me I have no clue what's going on.

Its hard to tell since i cant see what the survivors see, if I see someone DCs cuz I hit him through a pallet or window then ofc understandable since it could seem like I made a very unlike hit, dedicated server at its finest. But if survivors DC because they ran into me, I outplayed them with a mindgame or just simply die cuz they played poorly then its funny as hell and I cant show respect for that, if they remain in the endgame chat to curse me then I just simply provocate them even more xD
The reason I ask because It doesn't seem fair how if a killer DC they feel bad but if the survivors DC they are insulted for it. It just seem hypocritical to be for one but not the other.

@DragonMasterDarren said:

the difference is is that if the killer DC's the only person negatively affected is them, if a surv DCes that negatively affects the killer and the other 3 survivors
Which is still technically 4 people. Weather it's the killer or survivor DC the game is basically over.
-
@DragonMasterDarren said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2413082#Comment_2413082
if they had a bad day then they shouldn't play survivor knowing that they will have to help 3 people
But that same logic can be applied to killers too.
If the killer is having a bad day they shouldn't play knowing they have 4 other people playing
-
@BenZ0 said:
Depends on the situation ofc.
If he dcs simply his ego got hurt or hes mad then its funny as hell and worth recording it. This doesnt happen that common as survivors do though.
But sometimes there are some moments where it has a reason, in my case if I get the RPD map as a mobile Killer or someone doesnt get hit cuz of very bad connection.
So would the same logic apply to survivors? Like moments where survivors have a reason or it's unfun for survivors? Why or why not?
-
@DragonMasterDarren said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2413042#Comment_2413042
no, if the survivors DC i get annoyed, either they screw over me, or they screw over their team
Yeah but what if the survivor had a bad day? Would you feel bad then?
-
@Aryl said:
It depends. Maybe they are losing very bad and don't want to play anymore, that's usually the case. Doesn't bother me if queues are fast enough.
I have DC'd as a killer after a last second key and a hatch offering. Nope, not gonna play against that.
@DragonMasterDarren said:
i just feel bad honestly, like they had a bad day and wanted to play their favourite killer, then i just play good in chase and my teammates rush the gens like madmen, i always feel bad when it happens
So if the survivors DC would you also feel bad?
-
Ik. It's why I play in a 2 man swf. Sometimes with no coms.
