It's fine.
If you can't reveal when staring at him than either another survivor is revealing him or you are doing it wrong.
It should carry over. I think how it works right now is another survivor can be staring at him, then cancel their revealing before he's fully broken out, AND THEN my revealing starts. I should be able to finish off the reveal that they started since the time we spent staring at him overlaps and he allegedly takes a second or two to get broken out of stealth when survivors are staring at him.
-
So consequently, all of the killer abilities have been coming out can be countered by moving left and right really quick. That's all you have to do. It's like a graduation from "press E to outplay". Just move left and right to outplay.
-
Survivors must be appeased, so keys are still in, even if it's the expense of the killer base.
-
I don't get it either. The recoil is absolutely ridiculous and makes him unplayable. This is Dead By Daylight, not CoD where simply not aiming down sights makes you misfire like 20 feet off from where you were aiming and miss the guy who's standing right in front of you. It's not necessary. It feels like I've got joystick drift. Why would you punish a killer this hard for using his ability?!
-
It's a problem because it's not 60 seconds anymore like it should be.
-
Yes, when it does go off it is absolutely game swinging, and that's just if 1 injured or downed survivor has it. When more than 1 has it, you're no longer in a position to 4k or even 3k.

adrenaline is fine, BUT NOT NOED. someone will come with that excuse or something similar. believe me
Adrenaline counters NOED, not the other way around. That's what I think, because Adrenaline gives a sprint burst and NOED just makes you faster. There's so many scenarios where the sprint burst saves you from getting hit by NOED, and if the survivor goes from downed to injured and the NOED user downs them again, it's only getting partial value because it's supposed to instadown people from being healthy.

Completely false. Like not even remotely true. Good killers win. Have you watched any?
Who were the good killers playing as? Nurse and Spirit I'm assuming?
-
When the concept of The Twins were introduced, I was hoping that Victor would be doing stuff, even if it wasn't downing survivors, while you were controlling Charlotte. This is another chance for the devs to attempt something more like that. Though I've only seen the first 3 of the Puppet Master movies, I liked them a lot and would love to see them come to DBD. I don't think the puppets should be able to down people, and maybe not even injure people, in accordance with my idea above.
-
I haven't seen a sliver of Asian hate since Do The Right Thing.
-
For survivor: Dead Hard, Resilience, Spine Chill, Adrenaline. It let's you play greedy by staying injured and getting the Adrenaline as a payoff, while also featuring the fast vaulting build.
For Trapper: STBFL, PWYF, Nemesis, Bamboozle. It's basically a chasing build, but also has obsession perks which you can make choices with when your traps get stepped in. If the obsession is trapped, pick them up for PWYF stacks and saving your STBFL stacks. If a non-obsession is trapped, hit them for your STBFL stacks. If you have PWYF stacks and a non-obsession is trapped, you can choose whether to save the extra 5% movement speed OR get another STBFL stack. Nemesis let's you get PWYF more consistently, and Bamboozle fixes dumb window loops that you don't have a trap at.
-
It's better but not consistently better.

No, playing for fun doesnt mean you dont care for winning. It means you dont care if you lose. I am not going to turn my frustrations up 9000000% just because I could win if I did. I win 80% of my games as survivor, meaning my version of winning which is most of my team walking through the exit gate. I win 90% of my killer games, meaning my version of winning where most of the survivors do not exit through the gate.
I could win 99% of my killer games, and I could win 95% of my survivor games if I played sweaty, I only lose 10-15% more games but in exchange I have 200% more fun on average.
As for inexperience and nonsensical map awareness, excuse me, I have 2.5k hours in the game. Having fun matters more at this point than getting wins that doesnt mean ######### anyway. If there is 2 dc's I could end the match early and "win" or I can ######### around with survivors and have some fun. I know maps, I know vanilla distances and know which addons are used when there is a discrepancy in distances. I can 99% of the cases fully predict what the killer is using before the second generator is popped. So me "playing for fun" doesnt mean I dont care for winning, I still try to win while having fun, but I am not gonna sacrifice fun just to get a shallow, meaningless win.
I'm saying players in general, maybe not you, who want to "play for fun" will not play optimally and belong in the lower ranks. They irk me only when I am getting matched up with them as I am playing competitive, and their mistake(s) directly causes our team to lose momentum and lose the match. That's why I would prefer if we had a ranked and unranked (casual) mode, which would help with the division in the community. If you need more details, I think swf and pink items/add-ons/offerings should be banned from the casual mode. If we have to split the matchmaking for it, so be it.
-
@Nos37 said:
You cannot see your model when playing killer.
Though, I guess you could stand in the moonlight and admire your own shadow... while the surviors escape
Obviously I'm talking from the survivor perspective. But there is the sentiment that "You should never buy killer cosmetics. You're just looking prettier for the survivors." But that's not a dumb goal, I think. I think looking cooler, even if you can't see it in-match is kind of the point of cosmetics in a multiplayer game, and partially the point of playing one killer over another.
-
I've learned that "playing for fun" means you don't care for winning at all, and will most likely sink the whole team with your inexperience and nonsensical map awareness. This is why we need a ranked and a casual mode, so they can please the competitive and non-competitive people.
-
I like them better than flashlights sometimes because they seem harder to get "mistimed blinds" on killers with, which is something that shouldn't even be in this game; if you blind them at any point, they should drop the survivor they're carrying. They're also easier to use up when you know the killer has Franklin's.
-
I do think the standing still mindgame is dumb, and so is getting grabbed off a gen because you can't hear her phasing when she starts it while you're in her terror radius. But like Freddy, her power level is completely overblown, especially when compared to Nurse. The difference in power between Spirit and Nurse is as big as the power difference between D tier and S tier killers. So again, I think y'all are focusing too much on the wrong killer.
-
Infinite stamina in this game leads to a lot of the game's problems, but it sets DBD apart from its competitors like Friday the 13th. Go play that game if you want a stamina mechanic.

Toxic survivors that are decent that destroy baby killers do suck but if you let that "ruin your experience" then you aren't really fit for dbd im sorry lmfao
Very condescending.
-
If I'm being downed by it with Trickster, the slowest killer ever, you can imagine how powerful the perk is gonna be in the hands of faster ones.
-
Things are not quite as dire for survivor as you make it sound.
-
I like the Cold Wasteland Survivor head for Huntress, because it's the goat skull or whatever it is. I think it's her best head. I also like the Black and Blue head for Dwight because he has a busted up face and glasses.
-
God loop into safe pallet into god window into safe pallet into god loop into safe pallet.
-
Nobody cares about some imaginary timeline that you think exists. The devs have never said anything about this. They can make more modern killers if they want.
-
Because when survivors have an exploit it's labeled as a 'tech', and when killers have a tech it's labeled as an 'exploit'. Not to say that the j-flick isn't an exploit.
-
Problem. Garbage killer, crazy af add-ons to make up for it.

@csandman1977 said:
I heard they made it for merciless because of ebony mori. Now that they changed the mori they need to look at the whole system
Is it really a merciless requirement for that reason? If so, then man these devs are dumb. "Let's make adept unnecessarily hard for all killers because of the few times that someone was using a mori, and then let's not revert that change after we've fixed moris." What a joke.
-
Not fair for the killer, but fair for the survivor, kind of like this whole game.
-
Almost nothing has changed with the perk. They still run at you with DS or body block, which doesn't deactivate the perk. They can also just hang around a gen or another person and act like they were healing or doing a gen, only for you to down them and get DS'd because you couldn't have seen that they were faking you out. Also, locker DS is still in tact. You're either gonna tunnel vision that person or let them get away/get on a gen for free.
-
Yes, first they say "soon", then they say "next patch", rinse and repeat a few times and boom, they're never getting nerfed. The fact that they're not nerfed already shows pandering to survivors. Nobody in their right mind thinks keys are balanced.
Unfortunately people never take the next step and say that hatch is op and survivor sided when it clearly is because "No way! A free escape survivor sided? Clearly a killer sided mechanic!" At the end of the day, their reasoning to keep hatch in the game is either non-existent or is complete garbage excuses. Give us an endgame mechanic that doesn't involve giving the survivors 2 free chances to escape, and then we'll talk about what's a "necessary feature". Keys are really only a symptom, a shortcut to the overpowered and stupid hatch mechanic. We need to address this problem from the top.
-
Everything about Trickster's gameplay sucks. You need 8 knives to injure someone, main event is a garbage Meyers Tier 3/Oni Bloodfury equivalent, the laceration disapates, he's 110%, the recoil is unreasonable and makes him unplayable. You're forced to M1 because you're never gonna down anybody with your ability without falling prey to the fallacy of sunk costs.

So... then you have no reason to care about bloodpoints at any time other than the week before a major patch so you can immediately max them out?
Do you see the problem here?
There is no problem with what I'm proposing, or the 'consequences' that could come from it. And also, this would not exactly allow you to max out a character, at least using my definition. Sure you can get them to lvl 50, but you're only gonna get the perks the bloodweb wants you to have, aka not getting the perks of your preferred build unless you get lucky in the bloodweb. And you make it sound easy as breathing to get 999,999,999 bp. That's gonna take like 2 weeks of playing, at least. Do you think it's better for someone to be robbed of their bp by reaching the current max and then getting nothing for all the matches they do after? Maybe spending bp is a chore to some people, as they'd rather spend their time playing matches. Why should they have to go to the bloodweb every 1 million bp for fear that their hard earned currency will be wasted? I've been called anti-consumer before for siding with the devs on certain decisions, but you take the cake.

Do you think people should be able to max out the new characters the instant they're released?
Or should they have to play them for a while first?
Yes! Why should I have to play a killer with crap perks? Nowadays I always lvl a new killer/survivor until I have my preferred build on them, or as close as I can get. Then, and only then will I play them. No playing with green and yellow perks required. And I'm assuming others have figured out to do that as well.

No! What?!

It maxes out at a million to entice you to spend them. Why save them? You going to convert them to bitcoin?
Why does anybody save up currency? For a special occasion, like when a new chapter comes out. Except, 1,000,000 bp, as I've said, gets you basically nowhere on the bloodweb. So instead of sitting at 999,999,999 like we could, and getting a new killer and/or survivor from level 1 to 50, we have to wait at 1,000,000, spend it, get a few 100k more, spend it, rinse and repeat. So I'll ask, why not save them?

Silent Hill is far more popular and well known than Clock Tower.
But nobody thought it would happen, which is the point. It doesn't matter how vaguely known the series is.

Anyone who still has their marbles will buy the original killers with shards. So your stats, if you even have any, are muddied. Not everyone wants to boycott this game. Now, if there's stats that show that not a lot of people even spent shards on him, then you've got something.
-
I don't hate him but I disagree with "Spirit has no counter" and "Deathslinger has no counter". Meanwhile Nurse exists.

Not a single person has switched their profile icon to The Trickster. I wonder what it could mean.
That last time I checked, it wasn't implemented into the forums as an option yet. Now it is, so people who would be doing it are barely starting to do it, unless they're like me who checked last time, saw we couldn't do it, and assumed it would only come much later.

Too niche for them to go after the license.
That's probably what they said about Silent Hill as well.
-
Yes! Let's do it! I love that franchise!
-
The amount of bp spent to levels progressed ratio is bad. 300k bloodpoints probably gets you to lvl 15 on 1 character. 600k bloodpoints gets you to about lvl 23 on 1 character. And also, the bp cap of 1,000,000 is pathetically low because 1,000,000 bp gets you basically nothing. It's not even enough to get a character fully leveled. Change it to 999,999,999 please. Also, way more bp from matches, which can be done easily via increasing the numbers on the bp offerings. Change 50% to 75%, change 75% to 100%, etc. It feels like bloody party streamers and yearly celebration cakes are the only bp offerings that even do anything.
-
It should rather be on-command like Blood Fury or Static Blast, because right now if you don't need to use it and it's active, you waste it.
-
@CornHub said:
He isn't any better on the Xbox Series X. A dev a while back said they played with a controller so I'm just assuming they don't see a problem.
They go against garbo survivors. It's why they think Trickster is strong.

@Zixology said:
A perk shouldn't be required to be able to play the game.
Love how, now that DS is worthless, killer mains everywhere are telling you to run it.
Because now it's true anti-tunnel. Even though we still have a game that forces you to tunnel if you want to win most of the time.

Getting adapt is almost by definition a miserable experience.
It asks survivors to play along and you have to own so.much face it means the match had to be easy aka boring
Even when I adepted Deathslinger, the survivors were playing very mediocre, but I almost lost with my best killer because of farm map and forced bad perks.

I can't believe we're doing this with another killer. Plague and the chainsaw killers have already needed chaser emblem fixes. When's this gonna be fixed, BHVR? Will it ever be fixed?

Everyone knows that no matter what changes this game makes (good or bad), complains will continue.
What I am talking about is this:
"I am SO fed up with how DS has been used over the years especially when it is used to do generators that i seriously don't care how much any survivor finds it BS when i will do this."
Like, he is warning people while complaining as if somehow survivors are suppose to be.... scared?

Newsflash: Survivors don't care about your tunneling ways.
Clearly they do because I see an angry survivor post about tunneling every day.

The funny thing about this thread is the people claiming only children tea bag, or only jerks tea bag. If you're as mature as you state, then an in-game animation should not bother you. If you stop worrying about teabaggers and worry about the chase. You can call it rude, but if you're allowing your taunting opponent to bother you that much you need to take a moment to evaluate your temperament. You can be invested and excited. You can be competitive. But if you reach the point you feel insulted to the point of real fury, you're doing a disservice to yourself. With how fasts DBD games go, are you really going to let yourself get upset 4 times in an hour because someone is spamming crouch? Let it go and down them instead. Next time they won't teabag at the pallet, giving up seconds of the chase to you.
That's a joke of a counterargument that I've heard before, btw. "Just hit them and they can't do it anymore." Gee, I just didn't think of that. Let me get them real quick. Oh what? 5 gens have been done and all the person has done was instadrop pallets? And they escape because of Adrenaline and body blocks? Well done. Amazing advice. I should try that more often.
