It's funny because killer mains have been trying to tell survivors how to play for long, like "play stealthy and stop messing around!" (which is fine). But now that survivors have more tools to play stealthy it seems that killer mains don't like it.
Edit: make up your mind lol.
Yeah but they probably mean be stealthy by being immersed and crouching around the entire map, never going for body blocks or flashlight/pallet saves. They don't want the devs to give survivors actual decent counters.
    WAIT WHAT?
Never go for bodyblocks or flashlight/pallet saves???
That is [AUTOBADWORD] part of the game, if you don't like it go play tetris.
Re read my post. I'm agreeing with you. I'm saying that is their idea of playing stealth, to never actually make the killer work for his hooks.

Edit: apparently neither of you understood my post. My b. Wrote it real quick while doing laundry lol.

My bad as well, that's why i edited my post. Let me give you a kiss 😘
    Lol no worries. 😅

And you're right about that body blocking perk. As someone who plays both sides, I love it. Survivors will never know when the killer has it equipped until you hit them so it's gonna be a ton of fun to use and also scare the ######### out of me as a survivor.

Some gamers are going to catch, and make sure the survivor dies on hook.  Doesn’t matter the survivor, the day or time.

I don’t care about Killing.  I also don’t let people go for free.. Unless there are 2x Party Streamers and I’ll consider it.

Take it as a compliment.  If someone is camping you to death, they’re afraid they won’t catch you again.

My favorite games are when people hard camp, they get 1 kill and 7.5k points.  Meanwhile everyone else escapes.  Then they say you’re noob gen rushers L u L 🙂

Which is why campers are trash players. They can't get someone more than once. If I max bold points in a single chase and go down, I'm 90% sure the trash is going to camp. It's epidemic from rank 20-8 and honestly needs to be addressed. It's the reason for most of the DC's and hook suicides in the game.

So trash that you're the one who lost.

Lost? lol ok if that's what you call taking 10 minutes to down 1 survivor. Yeah that is THE definition of trash. Rank 1 killer and I never take long enough to fill a survivor's boldness points. But hey be aggressive trash because you're always wrong.

You died, so yeah, you lost. You couldn't even win the chase and failed at stealth.

No. If you take several minutes to down a survivor then you lost that chase. Only a brand new or terrible killer wouldn't be able to eventually down a survivor in a chase. Survivors can't block, they can't hit back, they're slower. There's a reason that the longer a chase goes on without a hit or down the more points the survivor gets and the less the killer gets.

Win conditions are different in this game more so than most. If you don't know that then you don't really understand the game.

That's a nice video. You did well in that game. But you still aren't replying constructively to the topic at hand.

You're not entitled to a response. If you don't like what they have to say, ignore it and move on.

Overweight due to muscles is obviously not what I'm referring to, if he even is overweight..

That's overweight for you? Do you live in Anorexiaville or something?

What? He's blatantly got a gut and he's quite round. I live on the planet Earth with other humans. Overweight does not mean obese.
  • I'm really happy they finally added an overweight survivor. It's just cool to see all different kinds of people in the game.
  • Why Resilience?? Sounds like a fun build otherwise.
  • I think it's a great change. I'm pumped more for this chapter than I have been since ... probably Huntress.

Lol the crying is hilarious. @kaister901 Take a deep breath and a nap or something.

  • This is like asking Hag, Nurse or T1 Myers to be normal speed. The reason they are not is BALANCE. You are supposed to rely on their power. A good Huntress is absolutely deadly and nearly unavoidable. If you want to buff her to normal speed the devs would need to nerf her in another way.

But then she'd just turn into a bad Hillbilly or Leatherface that doesnt even use their power because they suck at it.
  • ROFL distracting the killer is now toxic abusive. Truly some sensitive souls on this forum. If you don't want to have to protect your totems then don't use hex perks.
  • New survivor perk idea: Carpenter

You know how to handle your wood. Collect the remnants of 5/4/3 broken pallets to build a new one and place it where another pallet once stood. You may only use the same broken pallet once. Building takes 25/20/15 uninterrupted seconds and can be heard within a 20m range.

(You cannot place a new pallet in the killer shack)
  • All that would do is add to the salt and griefing. "This guy didn't save when the killer had NOED and I was hooked 15 miles away from an exit. 0 stars!"
  • How does that make any sense?
  • I speculate it will begin within the next month.
  • If we are camping so many things at once....is it really camping?
    You're camping the map.
  • Look up the meaning of plaigerism. There's nothing unique about winter coats, hats and climbing gear.
  • These spots used to be everywhere. The devs have done a good job of fixing the majority of them.
  • There's absolutely no reason Trapper should have a 24m terror radius. The Hag, MM, Freddy, Spirit and Pig do because they are stealthy killers or have reduced speed. Huntress does because of her directional lullaby and reduced speed to balance with her long range attack.
  • I love when people try to use logic to make arguments against design choices. It's so cute.
  • Notice the tire tracks? Maybe the new map will have drivable snowmoniles.

WGLF got nerfed and BBQ got buffed to BALANCE things.
    Now they are good.

? BBQ got nerfed when they made generator auras darker. WGLF getting nerfed has nothing to do with balance, it was nerfed because getting 200% more BP was absurd and people went out of their way to make horrible plays because 4 unhooks netted you 4.5k BP in addition to the 3x BP you got for everything else.
  • This topic is nothing more than an excuse to take a shot at the devs. 🤷

Game cannot register that they are the last survivor  then (probably)

Probably an effect from the original spaghetti code.

Or it's just something they didn't program and have never seen a reason to because it's not a problem and certainly not a priority.
  • We know nothing further.
  • Cool idea except for not being able to run and no pallets on top of being exposed and your aura being revealed regularly. That's just a brutal combination and does not sound fun We'd spend like 5-10+ minutes waiting to find 10 survivors then more than likely we'd die within the first minute of the trial.
  • If you're in kyf then don't you know the person? Why wouldn't you ask them?
  • It's random. That's how odds work.
  • Enduring doesn't help against DS nearly as much as folks like to pretend, as the stun itself is short compared to the actual animation, which is the majority of the downtime. It really doesn't help at all.

Not that it matters right now; they stated they dunno ######### to do with it and there's no changes in the near future, so juggle on or grit your teeth and take it.
It doesn't help at all? Come on. The survivor can't move during the drop animation, either. Let's not be ridiculous.
  • Lol @ the perk being useless. First of all, it includes buffs. You are no longer more likely to be the obsession so less likely to be tunneled. The killer will not know if you have DS so you'll have the element of surprise. Enduring can no longer drastically reduce the stun time. Buff for non-obsession users, especially at tiers 1 and 2.

All this does it make it a much more uniform, situational perk that requires strategy to use effectively while making it less obnoxious for the killer. Would it reduce people using it? Probably. And that's a good thing. But save it for the right time and it's still incredibly powerful.

I both find the perk terrible as a survivor (other than Adrenaline I think one-time use perks are generally not worth a slot unless you're going for a particular build) and a killer (if you're in a pallet city and you don't use one of the top killers then you can get looped for 2 gens just to down them and they have DS so there goes 1-2 more gens. It's dumb). DS greatly punishes killers that don't use meta/crutch perks like Ruin, NOED, and BBQ and don't use a top tier OP killer like Nurse and Billy. So don't complain when most killers carry some combination of the most popular perks if you're gonna carry DS, a perk that has the power to waste an incredible amount of time and in some cases make a 1-2 minute chase completely null and void.

The less crutches in this game, the better it will be for everyone. And yeah idc if NOED can be countered by cleansing totems, it's still a perk people rely on when they are not good and it exists because of flaws in the base game design, like objectives being too easy or some killers being terrible in a chase.
  • It’d be nice to get some concrete information on a release date. I’d like to know whether I should spend now on this Black Friday sale, or invest into the next chapter.
    You can't set aside $7?

Can’t go a day without seeing a baby killer demanding DS nerf .
Lol I'm a pretty blatant survivor main.
  • I find it jarring that there are people that still argue that DS is fine. A free escape is not fine, its never fine. Its literally a perk that lets you negate the killers efforts after they catch you. In a game all about time management for the killer a survivor should not be able to waste so much of a killers time and efforts by simply hitting a skillcheck. Its bizarre there is still support for the current state of this perk. Devs need to stop dragging their feet and nerf it already like they promised half a century ago.

I find it a bit jarring that people still call it a free escape. Idk why you expect people to take your opinion seriously if you can't be honest about basic facts. Is the description "When the killer picks you up you are immediately freed from their grasp?" Then it's not free.

That being said, I still hate the perk and it needs to change.
  • Pro tip: complaining about getting an LOL is surefire way to get yourself some LOLs.

DS should be entirely re-worked. It cannot simply be "ur the obssesion or u run 3 perks LOL," that's an absurd idea.
  • My rules exactly though I throw in cheap pallet stuns that are just for points and not to help
Cheap pallet stuns? Excuse me.. what???
  • I doubt that I'm the only one wondering, what is the point of this? So confused.

Coming from someone who's never had a game held hostage I guess.

So, a group of friends get together, join a match, 3 of them concede to give their 4th friend 36,000 Bloodpoints, whether that friends lives or dies (on top of however many Bloodpoints are earned through normal gameply), and they can do this 3-5 times a day?

    Yeah, that won't be abused...

I hadn't considered SWF. Adjustments can be made for that. And ######### is this 36000 BP coming from? It is a pool of 9,000. Please read before commenting.
  • Master said:

    Imagine this:
The looper of the SWF got caught for the third time and knows he is going to die, he concedes, keeps his BP and his teammates even get a reward of 9k BP. Do you see the problem?
Also, assuming that rank will actually mean sth at this point, one member of the SWF can concede to prevent the others from depiping when they have a bad game.

Soooo, adjustments can be made for people in SWF teams. Pretty easy fix. Anyone in the SWF group does not get the BP bonus or de-pip protection.

    please change it to black

They would get yelled at by the license holders because they can't alter anything without their permission. (Yet they nerfed Freddy in like 3 days)

They likely have full control of the various values of the killers' power. Licensed killers are changed all the time. But the devs couldn't make Michael talk or use a machete instead of the knife, for instance, without their permission.
  • Healing time does not need to be increased even more. Other than that it's a pretty cool idea, especially because you balanced it with the two perk buffs, which would actually become useful.

And yet with the healing changes, it was nerfed. Sooo... You think they should not only making self healing take 32 to 40 seconds but also if you stop at all you lose all progress??

    They wanted to do what?!

Their original nerf idea for SC a few months ago was to make you lose all healing progress if you stopped healing at any time. So you could literally heal to 99 and lose all that progress. They fortunately scrapped the idea because it was terrible. Then they said they were going to leave SC as is for now.. possibly because they were thinking of the overall healing changes they implemented recently.

  • The difference between you or anyone thinking the hatch changes were solid and the devs ultimately deciding not to go with them, is that they have to consider every aspect and every ripple effect those changes will have. Like not_Queen said, they've made TONS of changes based on our feedback. But they are going to ultimately decide what's best for the community as a whole and not one side or the other. You can disagree with them and they even admit to making mistakes, but that has nothing to do with their confidence. In fact, that they don't simply throw in a change due to popular demand shows that they DO have confidence.
  • You know the Killer can have obsession perks too, right?
Yes. I did not imply otherwise. It's annoying when it happens, tho.
