Are they embarrassed? Or is it just a cash grab? Seems super obvious they knew how painful going against this killer would be considering I’ve seen constant 150% bonus bp for survivor queue AND they buffed survivor bp gain. Day 1 didn’t see a single Dredge. Hell I barely see Dredge more than a couple times a month and yet today alone I’ve seen 5. It’s almost as if word caught on that he’s absolutely miserable to play against in Lights Out. Did the devs even play test half the killers? It’s not fun. The only reason I’m playing it is to complete the event tome. Plenty of killer powers are not even remotely balanced for this mode like Legion, Ghostface, Dredge and Myers. I’m a solo queue survivor and in the vanilla game mode I probably escape between 25-35% of the time depending on the day. I don’t use meta perks (other than maybe Distortion? Not sure it’s meta but I see it whined about a lot). I played like 5 games today and I’m already bored as a survivor. I’m glad they added Alan but his perks are not interesting and most of the changes were focused on killers. It would have been nice to have a few more survivor perk changes + the tome today. Meaning they didn't pick her to be toxic, run the most obnoxious builds possible or force hour long matches? Because I honestly couldn't tell you one fun thing about her kit. I hate Blight with a passion as a survivor but there's no doubt it's a blast ping ponging around like a madman. Equip BNP and Deja Vu. When the trial starts you see the 3 gens closest together, of those 3 go to the gen closest to the center of the map and use the BNP on that one. How's that sound? I know it's probably ideal to hold onto your BNP till you know you where need it, but I don't want it getting wasted due to Franklin's or me being tunneled out before I even get a chance to use it. I was thinking Plot Twist, Tenacity and Sprint Burst could be fun because in end game scenarios you could stealth around the map faster and if the killer approaches you, you pop up and Sprint Burst to safety. So chapters generally release on Playstation an hour + after the update. I assumed the chapter would be as usual, the character + a recolor of a single piece of the default outfit. So I decided I'm not gonna wait an hour for that, I'll just pay the 500 auric cells for Nic. Be wary of this if you're spending your BP automatically. The auto purchase will go right up to an event item and then go for the more expensive yellow or even green items. Before the forum update a while back, if you tapped on a Dev or Community Manager tag you would get redirected to their comment in that thread. Now it seems to bring you to a search function. I liked the way it worked before because I could go straight to official comments. Now I have to go into each thread and scroll and click through different pages to try to find the dev comment. Calm Spirit was a niche perk but I enjoyed using it when going against killers like Doctor or the perk Infectious Fright. It received a very slight, but largely useless buff and in exchange for that it got a huge nerf. There's such little benefit to cleansing or opening chests silently that it's absurd to make doing those things take longer. When I activate Blast Mine on a generator if the killer hooks a survivor and triggers Pain Resonance on my gen, it will trigger my Blast Mine. Sound and animation play out and I immediately begin earning progress towards the next Blast Mine activation. I'm on PS5.
