Most games I've played today had no one using ds

Is it because of pyramid head?

Its sort of dying out. Actually skilled survivors have no need for it.

If you're running this perk at high ranks, you've learned nothing about how to play the game efficiently and effectively. You probably shouldn't even be at high ranks. You're healing at half speed. Why? Just find a teammate to heal you! I know teammates can be a little inconsistent with how good they are, but most people know to heal an injured teammate. Or you could use Inner Strength. It's better than Self-care at least. With the MMR system in place, we'll truly see who deserves to be at high ranks, because it definitely isn't clueless Self-care users. If I see you running it, I'll have half a mind to blame you for our loss because of the amount of time you wasted. What's next? "You're telling me Open Handed isn't meta? Not even Sole Survivor?" Nope, but at least they aren't a direct detriment to the team.

Self Care is a godsend to us solo queuers. I cant rely on anyone except myself.

It's funny how this excuse comes up every single time a supposedly "woke" product becomes incredibly popular and makes a ######### ton of money instead of "going broke" (Captain Marvel, Wonder Woman, etc.), yet it doesn't seem to apply to other equally famous franchises like Ghostbusters, which people were also looking forward to because the first one was a great movie. Maybe it's just that there's a loud minority that doesn't like certain things in movies and video games, but the silent majority can recognize a good story when they see one.

Wonder Woman was not a "woke" movie. "Woke" movies try to shove an agenda down your throat. Wonder Woman did not. It was a great movie about a badass woman kicking ass and taking names.

The players do not hate TLOU2. The haters hate it.

It was a huge waste of my money. The story was absolutely awful. And forcing me to kill uninfected dogs? Ill pass, thank you. Gameplay wise it was only a marginal improvement on the first.

I don't want to suffer against tryhards minus the "try" until they nerf them. Don't care what anybody else says. People can talk about it, but I'm just putting it out there, because i'm tired of this #########. Just speaking my mind.

EDIT: look, i'm not against people playing with their friends, but judging by this community, it's less of that, and more of having more reasons not to try.

My god man. Youre making us killers look bad. Man or woman up, and just play the game. Even if they are SWF, clap them. Most SWFs are actually embarassingly bad at the game.

  • If nothing else, this would be a welcome addition indeed.

in order to have a down you have to do something. Oni has to first injure people and get blood, ghostface needa to stalk. Hillbilly's chainsaw is hard to control. Legion just needs to recharge the power and then he has faster movement speed and can down in 2 hits?

Oh and I forgot to add this, missing a swing will still instantly end the Frenzy. So if you can 360 or bait a hit, Legion goes into a stun.

  • @GodNap said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1391886#Comment_1391886

that's too op! you get a free down because... you recharged your power! what's the point of it?

By that logic, every killer that has an autoregenerating power is OP. So Ghostface and Hillbilly are OP? Oni is OP?

  • Why shouldnt they? Its still like a worse version of Hillbilly and Oni, because you still need to hit them twice to down them

  • @TWiXT said:

OP forgot to add "Iridescent Head trumps all other add-ons" Making it clear that the "Reduces Hatchet Carrying capacity to 1" can't be affected by any other add-ons that increase her carrying capacity. Hag has Add-ons that have this text as well, making it impossible to teleport to her traps with other add-ons like her Ultra Rare Mint Rag that would otherwise allow her to Teleport to any trap at infinite distances.

Making Iridescent Head trump all other capacity add-ons is a good idea, but if I'm being honest, because of Deathslinger's Ultra rare Iridescent Coin add-on, I believe the way they are actually going to change Iridescent Head is by making it inflict Dying only after hitting a survivor past a certain range, like 20 meters. It just seems to me that they were experimenting with this idea on Deathslinger, and they may incorporate it with Huntress as a way to reward the killers aiming skill, rather than just letting her keep a consistent Intant-down add-on. Otherwise, even with OP's change, Survivors will still complain that it's a no-skill 1 shot add-on.

Problem is, the coin addon is useless. Going for hard to hit shots is not rewarded when you play Deathslinger. Hence his status as a low C tier killer.

Maps I love playing as killer:

Hawkings: ######### loops. only for that, but if i am playing billy or a 4,4 m/s, i think its "balanced"

Azarov's resting places: Especially as trapper.

Rotten Fields: A HUGE DEAD ZONE, but still a lot of corn.

Thompsons House: A big dead zone in the middle, some nice loops and some decent gens, pretty balanced.

The Game map: Pretty balanced, but with 3 infinites what is a bit of a problem, especially cuz they are on the same area.

    Maps I HATE:

Midwich: THERE ARE SO MANY LOOPS, pallets, windows and breakable walls in the same spot that kills the map.

Disturbed Ward: I hate this infinite loop on the main building.

Lampkin Lane: So may gens in hard areas to patrol, that breaks the game.

    Treatment Theatre: I hate mazes.

Edit: removed Coal Tower: Forgot they had now 4 ######### god loops in the same area. What THE ACTUAL #########, WHY BHVR WOULD SOMEONE DO THAT????

I really like all the Wreckers and Coldwind maps. I only hate one Macmillan map, and thats the Estate. I for one, actually like Haddonfield and the Game as well. I also really enjoy Dead Dawg Saloon.

    Red Forest is hella underrated.

Now, heres a long list of my hated maps.

I hate every single version of Badham. They made five equally awful maps.

I hate both Swamp maps. Is there actually someone who likes these maps on either side?

The Yamoaka maps are both terrible and I immediately eat the penalty and DC when I get them.

Midwich Elementary is a ungodly hellspawn. I never brought map offerings before that unplayable mess was added.

I hate Hawkins as well. Its too cramped and indoors. I hate Lerys for the same reason.

Good god, Ormond is so awful. Scratch marks are hard to see, pallets are everywhere, and that middle building is hell.

Not to mention overpriced, the "legendary" skins are literally just there to make more people spend more money on an overpriced under decorated skin. I LIKE mix and matching my skins, that's why I liked DBD's cosmetic system so much. Also, I do it because it's cheaper and I can make better-looking custom skins with it. But there was literally no point in adding legendary skins other than to make BHVR more money.

"Oh, but legendary skins change who the person is"

How about legion then? You can mix and match their cosmetics and still change who they are. Why can't we just keep doing this? And why is it more expensive than a normal outfit? That makes no sense. I'm not going to pay extra money just so I can have a "different" survivor because that is stupid. Please change this, it makes no sense.

Lisas mere existance has got BHVR in a bit of hot water. Killers have started a "tunnel every Lisa player" movement to convince people that buying her is a huge waste of your money.

  • I would edit that image to blur the survivors names. Witch hunting and such is not allowed on the forums.

  • @joshuashep22 said:

It would be very nostalgic to have the witch as a killer and the sacrifice as a map, I don't see why they would be against the idea.

Id like to see the Tank or Witch as a killer, and a slew of cosmetics referencing the other special infected.

This is my first post on the forum so I apologize for the potential disaster this may be.

I'm no one special to the DBD community nor a insanely dedicated player but, DBD is a game I am very fond of and enjoy. I've been playing for a few years and have gained 660 hours as of this post so while I am no one of significance, I do like to think I have some experience.

While there is a LOT I'd like to discuss for DBD, Today I'd like to talk about something I haven't seen much coverage on. The Psychology of Dead by Daylight. As a whole the game is very psychological and I'm unsure if people account for that. I've played both Survivor and Killer evenly (probably Survivor more because I play with friends from time to time) and both sides can be very 'toxic' and very frustrating to play against. I cannot pin-point how the loop started but, as one side is continually toxic to the other, the other shall in turn become toxic.

As nerfs come and go involving these 'toxic' behaviors, the side affected by the nerf will say "See? This game is so X sided!" but again, it feels like they take the game only at face value and not consider the rest of the issue at hand. We've all been camped by a Killer right? Dealt with a teabagging Survivor? I'm sure that there are many people who play fair and kindly but, that Killer who just camped you? Probably has been through a handful of toxic Survivor matches. That Survivor who won't stop teabagging and pointing? Probably had a handful of games where the Killer focused them until death hook. Does it justify it? No. Does it explain it? Yes.

While I can't recall every nerf and buff applied to the game I can think of a few scenarios where which people will shame the devs for being "X sided." I just feel it would help if people thought for a moment, let's say, if they nerfed NOED, think less of the more toxic strategy that you've lost and more about how as a whole, the game may be healthier in the end because of it. While a nerf to a Killer is a buff to a Survivor, that doesn't necessarily mean as that Killer you are suddenly unviable. The very same to be said of Survivor mechanics.

Again, there's a lot more I'd like to talk about as far as DBD goes but I'd first like to see if my opinion is welcome or not. Thanks for reading if you have. Good Luck in the fog.

Great first post. Bias and toxicity like in the first comment is unavoidable, but most of the community is very nice, respectful and chill.

    I hear

"I tunneled everyone because there was no DS, and I'm going to blame them."

Imagine saying I tunnel because I 4k. Hilarious and laughabld

  • Exit gates should regress anyways. You should not be able to 99 them. Ruin is fine as is with high tier killers. Its trash on everyone except Nurse, Billy or Spirit.

  • Tunnelling wasnt nearly as much as a problem before the DS rework. Its almost as if DS itself encourages tunnelling.

  • @LetsPlayTogether said:

Yeah and they get tunneled every game. Seems fun. DS is necessary, cause killers play as scummy as possible. I got tunneled 3 games this night by Spirit players. Was sooo much fun. They also didnt care a bit about the laughable stun.

If you unhook in my terror radius, and then ######### about getting tunnelled when I down you again, thats on you my guy.

  • And then they ban the guy for making their greediness known. Nice.

  • Unhooking immediately, and prioritizing taking aggro over doing gens.

    Mhmm

  • @The_Daydreamer said:

Oh boy.. this killer is.. something else. I always hated Spirit, and I still don't like her, but I can see why people like her and atleast it is a more engaging chase. After seeing the Executioner, I can safely say that I am over spirit. I found my new much hated killer, wowie. I'm not here to talk about "How OP" is is, because I don't think he is, but he is definetely pretty overloaded.

To get to the topic: Has anyone maybe some perks to suggest or can tell me how to play against him?

Because I never had a killer that boring and annoying to play against (except the old Legion). U know, I can see that looping is not everything (even tho it's the most interesting part of the game), so I am not really trying to loop him. I run to a loop, try to break line of sight and run to the next loop and if he hits me, I just run as far as I can. It's not really interesting to me, but I guess it works sometimes.

You know the thing is that he gets played like Deathslinger 2.0 (wow fun). I get bloodlusted and he fakes his ability if I am near a window and palett. So whatever I do, I get nothing. He is 4.6 m/s fast and because is range attack shares the same button like the other ability you can't tell if he is using is range ability now or not. His range attack is not impossible to dodge but I feel like its bigger than on the ptb and it's imo hard to dodge- especially if you are not far away. And don't worry, if he's missing once, he can use the range attack 4 times again. And if he misses and you chose to run away to get some distance, don't worry, the RNG on DbD helps you with areas with nothing.

So after looking at this, I think the only "smart" way to play against him is to get as much distance, don't use anything, try to keep loosing line of sight and run as far as possible after that. Maybe perks like Spine Chill, Sprint Burst and Urban could help I think. But I'm not sure and I really don't like running the meta build. (My go to build is most of the time Bond, Open Handed, Kindred and maybe something like Plunderers or one of the new perks)

Don't get me wrong- the way most Executioner Players are playing a smart way. It's nothing new, Demo or Deathslinger players play the same way. But they are more limited than the executioner. I'm still having trouble and It's not really fun or interesting to play against him, but I kinda want to adept.

The only thing consistently good about PHs power is the 50 50 mindgame.

The range and sensitivity are so janky, and its so easy to dodge.

  • @BigBubs said:

Learn to use it effectively then.

Putting someone in a cage negates perks that work with unhooking (BT / DS / WGLF , etc.) which clearly means that putting them in a cage is not considered as "hooking". So why should it count for devout when you are not "hooking" them?

The moment they make the perks that activate only on unhook also activate when someone takes a survivor from the cage then I will agree that cages should count for devout as well.

Only issue was I depipped with a 3k and they count towards hook progress. They should count for devout. Nothing else.

  • @JesterClown said:

Did they all die on cage or did you PH mori them all, I thought cage gave hook points and sacrifice points. If you PH moried them all that explains it though, that always has been the trade off with mori-ing

    They died IN the cages.

  • @BigBubs said:

Well...they are not hooks so I don't see what's the problem here.

    Hook people.

I should not depip for using my power.

    INTRODUCTION

I've seen many threads popping up about a FNaF chapter recently (for whatever reason), and it is without a doubt a mixed and controversial topic. However, I believe that the vast majority of criticisms that the series seems to get are either invalid, negligible, unclear, or downright ridiculous. So after making several long responses to other people's posts, I've decided that it would better for me to just make one, giant thread containing this stuff. Before I start however, it is only fair that the readers know my bias towards the series before I actually state anything.

I remember my first time playing FNaF was when I was in fifth grade, over five years ago. Since then, I've stuck with the series, despite never really playing the games. To be completely honest, the gameplay of FNaF does get stale quickly, and I think that's why many people completely diss the idea of a FNaF chapter in DbD. However, if it wasn't for FNaF, I probably wouldn't enjoy horror at all, and I certainly wouldn't be playing or ever have played DbD.

That being said, I will essentially always defend the idea of a FNaF chapter, regardless of how many people do/don't want it. It's no secret that the DbD community has VERY mixed opinions over a FNaF chapter, and that's perfectly okay. This post will be broken down into 2 parts: Investigating common criticisms and potential benefits from a FNaF chapter.

NOTE: A lot of this has been taken from older posts. If something here doesn't make sense out of context, just let me know.

    Investigating common criticisms

    The chapter wouldn't fit

DbD fans and FNaF fans unanimously agree that Freddy shouldn't be in the game, but that's just who people assume when you talk about a FNaF chapter. If you ask just about anyone, they'll say that Springtrap/William Afton would be the best fit.

For those who don't know, William Afton was an employee at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza that murdered dozens of children to use their "remnant" (soul-like bits) to save his dead son. He stuffed their corpses inside of the animatronic suits, but later dissembled the suits, freeing the children’s spirits. The spirits cornered him, causing him to quickly get inside an animatronic suit. The springlock devices in the suit activated, puncturing his insides and killing him. His soul still possessed the suit however. Later on, Afton arrived at another Fazbear entertainment facility, which was a trap built by his former coworker, Henry. The place was set ablaze, destroying the suits of all the animatronics and freeing his soul. He was sent to purgatory and then banished to hell forever.

Now THAT'S a killer! Springtrap's grimy aesthetic totally fits the game perfectly.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/227/GRXP13C8CCH7.png

    Render by u/freddy_fazsack

I honestly don't see how that fits the game any less than the clown, or demogorgon. I think he would fit the atmosphere just as great as anyone else.

    No Ideal Map/ Location

I'll admit that there isn't one location that promptly stands out from the others. Many people suggest either the FNaF 1 location or the FNaF 3 location. It's not because the maps are not important. It's because they're BOTH important. The first location is arguably the most well-known, and Springtrap's origins began and how he got his killer instinct. The FNaF 3 location is where we see Springtrap the most in his truest form.

I had a reddit post where I detailed what I envisioned the map to be, so I will shamelessly copy and paste that here:

"I had my own idea for the map. It was the original Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, that would be extremely withered (Big chunks of the concrete wall missing, torn wall paper, chairs and tables flipped and scattered around, you get the idea). The animatronics would still be on stage, but withered down and broken.

Outside the location would be playable as well, with foliage and trees surrounding the building, and houses along the map's perimeter.

There would always be a generator in the backroom of the building (like the bathroom gen on "The Game"). Every time that generator is completed, flood lights would turn on and start waving at the buildings entrance. Furthermore, the power in the building would turn on, lighting up the dining area and stage lights, with an animatronic performance from the original 3 (although it would be very jittery due to their condition)."

    No well-known survivor

I would personally say no survivor would be the best option. However, a lot of people suggest a nightguard or a book character. I wouldn't say those are bad options, but I feel like the chapter would be best in paragraph form (with the exception of a map). I think the first nightguard would be the best fit, but many people are miles more creative than I am, and come up with creative concepts for other potential survivors. In the end however, I feel like that would be the most difficult part of a FNaF chapter, should there even be a survivor.

    Complicated story and confusing lore

I'm going to be completely honest: FNaF lore has never been entirely clear, but the community knows MORE than enough to make an accurate FNaF chapter. We know for a fact that Springtrap's soul was released at the end of FNaF 6, and we also know that he was sent to purgatory before being banished to hell. So while some of the lore specifics in recent games (such as FNaF: VR) are unknown, it would be negligible when considering a FNaF chapter. Most of the essential questions (and more) are already answerable.

The two games have drastically different characters, gameplay, artstyles, etc..

This is one that I do agree with to an extent, but I don't think it should matter considering that hasn't stopped people from wanting characters in the past. The games do have very different themes, ideas, atmospheres, but these characteristics aren't like night and day, and they do share some similarities. Instead of pushing FNaF away due to it's uniqueness, FNaF's new atmosphere and ideas could contribute SO MUCH to its chapter. Where else are you going to find another chapter that provides a robot killer? Or underlying theme of playfulness that was morphed into darkness and terror? You could argue that you could make an original chapter with these qualities, but at that point, it'd very apparent it was based off FNaF, and it would just feel... awkward.

The two games also have characters that are significantly different from each other, but again, that's GOOD thing! YOU WANT ORIGINALITY! When demogorgon was introduced to DbD, it had a lasting impact. It was the first non-human character that opened the door for god knows what in the future! It wouldn't "just another DLC" and that's something that would make it 8x better.

The artstyles of the games don't seem to matter too much to people when requesting characters. Look at Clementine from Telltale's The Walking Dead game for an example. She was at one point the most requested character, and her art style is WAY different than DbD's. There may be other examples, but this was the only one I know.

    https://preview.redd.it/3n5xbr2w0rp21.jpg?auto=webp&s=c62d3e3a28b727dd534ec7bdf9ce914b8ec18573

Why should it matter in this instance, even though FNaF and DbD aren't even too different graphically.

As for stories, that's a GOOD THING! You want original characters, with original backgrounds, with original mechanics! It adds a lot more variety to DbD other than the typical killer or surivor story.

As for gameplay, three words: Left. For. Dead. Bill is a perfect example of why gameplay doesn't matter when it comes to videogame licenses in DbD. DbD is a survival horror game and L4D is a zombie shooter, so I'm pretty sure that a sit-and-survive horror game wouldn’t be ruled out due to its gameplay.

    Lack of community interest:

For a while, this was the case. Most FNaF fans that play DbD tend to keep their mouth shut about a FNaF chapter, knowing that should they say something, a wave of backlash is right around the corner. However it seems like most DbD fans would accept a well-done FNaF chapter. The upvotes speak for themselves:

    Licensed Chapters are more limited

Scott Cawthon does not give a lemon-sucking damn what you do with his characters. He lets people use them without asking, and will allow just about anything. There was only one instance where Scott active took action, and it was only when someone named their fan-game "Five Nights at Freddy's 3". All he did was make them change the name. FNaF is not like any other license. It is an indie game, meaning that any decisions regarding his character only goes through him, and he is okay with just about anything.

    The Community is Toxic

This is something that always bugs me when it's brought up. A lot of Dead by Daylight fans completely trash FNaF's supposedly toxic audience, but in doing so, it just antagonizes themselves. I understand if you just don't like the kind of people FNaF attracts, but when people say things like "They just cringey toxic children!" and then proceed to be toxic within this community, that's just downright unacceptable. And if FNaF's community is actually all children like many people here claim it is, it's a damn shame that they can sometimes behave better than half the people here.

I shouldn't have even included that last part, as its 100% subjective, but it's something that does need to be said.

So there's my defense. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns. Feel free to let me know. I'm always happy to have a civil debate, or just a discussion.

Potential benefits of a FNaF chapter.

    A New Horror Icon

Whether you like it or not, FNaF was at one point one of the most popular games of its time, and it still shows today. For example, FNaF: VR (May 2019) earned many sales records shortly after its release. FNaF still has its following today, with its subreddit having ~95K members (for comparison, DbD has ~193K). These aren't small numbers, and just goes to show that FNaF isn't dead. Were the games perfect by any means? Heck no, but as much as you personally may not like them, they still have a strong community. It's legacy still lives on today, and will continue to for quite some time.

A Brand New Killer Aesthetic and Completely Original Backstory

Assuming that Springtrap were to be added, he would easily be one of, if not, the most original killer the game has seen thus far. I could explain how, but I've dabbled in this previously.

To summarize though, he is robotic child murderer that took the lives of dozens of children in order to save his son that died. His power is not limited by game play mechanics, and could take many elements of his backstory and lore to assist in developing his power. His power has tons of things it could pull from.

He would be a smarter, more-cunning killer, who if used effectively, would be a devastating force to reckoned with. Additionally, his animations could be a lot more jittery due to his withered and destroyed appearance, further adding to his originality.

    Significant Community Growth

As previously mentioned, FNaF has quite a large following, and their community contains of tons of unique people. Introducing the FNaF community to the DbD community could be beneficial for both sides. Many people from the DbD community would probably like a deeper look at FNaF to see where Springtrap originated from, and people from the FNaF community would no doubt want to see a new DbD character of someone they've followed for ages. It would provide great exposure to both FNaF and DbD.

While I've heard the argument that introducing a younger audience to DbD might have negative effects, but I highly doubt that many "children" would jump ship here. DbD is typically seen as an adult horror game, and FNaF is more aimed at teen horror. Most of the newcomers would likely come from the older side of the FNaF community, which makes up the overall majority of it.

The Stranger Things chapter exemplified this the best. Most of the people who enjoyed DbD's horror stayed, while the rest seemed to simply fade away.

This isn't something that I fear personally, but I know that it is a concern for some, so I still think it would be worth mentioning.

    Both Parties Benefit Tremendously

FNaF is a very highly valued IP, and there's no doubt about it. Many FNaF fans would buy DbD strictly for the FNaF chapter alone, and FNaF would also get some more sales, especially since most of the more recent games (made by Scott) are free, and the older ones don't ever get more expensive than 8 or 9 dollars. Additionally, both parties would also benefit through the sale of the DLC itself. All of this goes to show how a FNaF chapter would be a phenomenal investment for both Scott Cawthon (the creator of FNaF) and BHVR.

    Conclusion:

Welp, here is my entire argument. Feel free to comment and I'll be sure to respond!

People ######### on FNAF a lot, and for good reason. Very complicated game with almost no actual horror in it. Its a decent arcade style survival game

Now, I wouldnt mind an animatronic killer in the game, but FNAF aint it.

Pyramid Head shouldn't be able to see the auras of cages. It encourages tunneling too much. The cage spawns are already pretty predictable, so if someone REALLY wanted to tunnel they could probably do it. But it'd be harder and take more time because they didn't know exactly where just the general area.

Cages are meant to be time savers not free passes to tunnel. At least I hope that's what the Devs intended

Stop it. Hes already low C tier. Hes bad enough as is.

  • Id rather get looped than search for a P3 Claudette in the bushes.

Yes, I know Pyramid Head has only been out for 2 days, but I think I've got a good idea of where he lies on the list. A month down the road when survivors pick up on his counterplay I might change my stance, but for right now he feels like a B to me since he lacks map pressure. What he has that makes him a B is time management & an alright anti-loop tool.

    My controversial takes explained:

Myers - he is so outdated with crap add-ons overall. Ghost Face has more reliable stalking for instadowns, & honestly stalking isn't even the effective way to play GF.

Wraith - if you don't commit to every chase, I feel like Wraith can be nasty. He is add-on dependent, but he honestly has some of the best add-ons of the killers. His playstyle is versatile as well.

Deathslinger - his power has potential in chase, but survivors seem to know how to dodge it & keep from being reeled in. He is the worst 110% killer.

Freddy - now I don't think everyone will disagree with me on where he is, but there will people who say Hillbilly is better. Freddy has crazy gen & map pressure with his teleport. He has anti-loop & mindgame abilities. He counters Borrowed Time by doing nothing. His lunge is either broken or deceptive (devs said the animation doesn't match the normal range, still a problem that needs fixing). He isn't add-on dependent, & they only just make him stronger. Hillbilly can instadown, can be dodged & looped like any other killer.

    *THIS IS MY OPINION

**Feel free to put your thoughts below

Oh absolutely. People really overrate Deathslinger. Hes cool and all, but hes not that good.

Let me preface this by saying I am a killer main. I don't often play survivor, so maybe my view on things for survivors isn't great. However, there's a blatant issue with Pyramid Head. Why don't BT, DS, Pop, etc. work with cages, but moris do? The logic behind being unable to use DS and BT with cages is that they are HOOK perks. Okay, whatever. It's really yikes that this killer literally encourages tunneling, but that's just the game for you. If you can't use your hook perks out of the cage, you shouldn't be able to mori out of the cage.

Moris specifically say (we'll go with an ivory for simplicity) "Grants the ability to kill one Survivor who has been hooked by your hand during the next Trial."

Well, if the cages don't count as hooks for the perks, why should they count as hooks for moris? For that matter, if cages don't count as hooks, why can you hook someone and cage them, for the same 3 states?

For real, man. Pyramid Head is so bad for the game right now. The pure, unadulterated tunneling right now is absurd. Sure, sending a survivor to the cage puts them on the other side of the map, but you can still see the cage, so what's stopping you from going after the survivor again, when they're injured, pretty much completely defenseless and fresh out of the cage? You can't really avoid the trails of torment in chases without nearly guaranteeing giving the killer a hit or a down. You may be able to urban evade through it but in my opinion, there should not be a single killer that makes you put on a perk on the off chance you get them.

BHVR, you say you want the game to be fun for everyone, and from a killers perspective, this absolutely does not seem fun for survivors at all. The tunneling is absolutely rampant right now, and its making half your playerbase want to quit. God knows first 3 games as survivor I played, I got tunneled all 3, and don't want to play survivor at all right now.

Seriously man, I don't understand why BHVR added a killer who literally does something the community has been bothered by for literal years and it needs to be changed. If tunneling has irked the community for years, why make it so easy for PH? He can pick survivors up, just like every other killer. He shouldn't be any sort of special about it. I understand it's supposed to be a cool new mechanic, but in reality, it's making people genuinely not want to play. There is no sort of fun in being tunneled, and it should not be encouraged like this.

Feel free to tell me I'm just whining if you must, but after seeing it from the killers perspective and the survivors, I really do not see where this is good for the game at all.

Or, just dont run into his trenches. Most competant survs at high ranks will never get tormented. If I was to make a change to PH it would be that WGLF works when uncaging someone.

Both as killer and as survivor. Personally if I'm with them, I'll just inform them of which character I'm playing and that's it. If I'm against them I'll go to their stream, greed and wish gl and then immediately leave in order to have a fair match.

How about you guys? Please let me know down below.

Ill play respectfully unless I find them to be detestable. Ive tunneled Ochido before but thats it

That's pretty much how I feel about this. Let sleeping giants rest. It's not really a big deal, anyway, and at least I can play something SH again that's actually new. Who knows what it could mean if it does well.

Konamis gonna make a DBD slot machine. Just wait

Konami is not a good company.

They would rather make Silent Hill Gambling machines than Silent Hill games. They're pathetic.

Exactly. Konami is a company that really fell out of the good graces of the gaming community. Nobody really respects them anymore.

What's the matter if you play against a PC player? first of all, i hope they don't implement a way to check in or check off which platforms to play with or this would ruin the whole concept of "crossplay".

Secondly, why just not adding something like Modern Warfare? like giving players from both PC and console a way to play with both controller or M&K. i don't know about console, but this option always worked on PC. you can use whatever you want to play in your platform and you still wanna opt-out for something we asked for years!!!

and i know about the low fps drops and optimizations problems, but stuff like that happens on PC as well sometimes.

Before judging or being edgy, try the crossplay, even with M&K from your console if you can, then you judge and opt-out eventually, but stop with the cockiness and rudeness.

In MW I play with crossplay off, and the experience is so much better. Crossplay is fine for survivors, because PC surv and console surv really dont play differently. But PC killer is a totally different experience.

No he's not. You are just garbage as deathslinger instead

Hes quite possibly one of the easiest killers to vs as survivor.

  • @Reinami said:

With what we have seen with Pyramid head and his multiple powers and the fact that he has a ranged attack that goes THROUGH walls. Is Deathslingers 110% movement speed really justified when Pyramid Head is a 115% killer with a ranged attack seems like a better version of deathslingers but with less range? I'd also argue the range isn't a benefit with deathslinger as when hes so far away it's easy to break the chain and long range hits usually aren't worth it.

You can react to Pyramid Head a little better than deathslinger too arguably, but not that much. Deathslinger slows down and his aiming is so obvious when you know it is coming and you can do a quick juke.

On top of that Pyramid Head doesn't have to reload!

But Deathslinger is a garbage tier killer.

I saw a couple threads saying they hope it isnt Pinhead. I just want to show love for my boy, cause I'm STOKED it might be Pinhead. I know its probably Candyman, BUT the Simon thing ratched up my hype level. Hes a PERFECT fit for this game

I personally like Pinhead, but most people really dont. Hellraiser was badass, but I was surprised on how many people didnt know who Pinhead was

    Whenever I run DS:

    > Killer leaves me be

    Whenever I dont run DS:

    > Killer picks me up

Whenever no one in the game has DS:

    > Killer tunnels anyone off hook. Ps. Not because they're lets say scummy, it literally makes no game sense to go after an uninjured person when the person injured is practically a free hook after down.

Sadly that's just how this perk is. I sometimes don't understand the frustration of some people when they don't actually try to play around the perk properly.

Ironically, DS encourages tunneling. Most killers will see a lack of obsession and go "Hell yeah, easy game, I can tunnel everyone"

I am not killer or survivor main i just play what role i want

    1. Add voice chat and a chat with a lot of shortcuts for a chat system (for who dont have a mic)

(shortcut is like this press c to open menu press 1 for help and press 1 for help me or like when you are at shack c,2,1 i am at killer shack)

We need to make swf and solo equal but nerf all second chance perks, remove aura reading perks and items

Because all second chance perks created for solo survivors (unbreakable created for solo survivors who dont have chat not for swf who knows where is the killer what is killer doing or like lets rush gens bully killer and too alturistic so killer downs us but we will use unbreakable for a win killer deserved.

WE TALKED ABOUT SWF BUT WHAT ABOUT PERKS?

second chance perks are very strong (Ds, Bt, Unbreakable, exhaustion perks) (salty killer main)

Ds should work only when 2 or more generators left or when all generators in the map have less than 400% in total

Bt should be same like ds

1.A What about if i get camped or tunneled after 4 generators?

This game is a team game so if 3,2,1(not hatch) person escapes all survivors should get points ,ranks etc.

İf you die you can still communicate with your teammates so dying is not bad right now all sc perks fixed.

    2 Killer side

Perks and bad killers needs to fixed ill talk about perks not killer buffs reworks etc.

NOED: Should be your last chance for getting a kill in endgame not getting your 3rd kill in endgame so

If you hooked all survivors less than 6 times and have 3 or more survivors alive noed activates (not hex: it is 60 seconds until you hook someone after first hook noed becomes infinite until survivor on the hook dies but you need to be near to the hooked survivor 16 meters) same effects

bloodwarden: when activated egc timer pauses survivors in gate area gets exposed status effect

2.A Killer perks should be a game mechanic

corrupt intervention: 3 gens far away from you should get blocked for 60 seconds corrupt increases that time 20/40/60 seconds.

BONUS: when a generator gets done all other gens blocked by entity for 15 seconds this gives killer 1 minute

    3.Other problems

Dedicated servers, matchmaking, more graphic settings, keys and mories

(sorry for bad English :( )

Not bad ideas, but the entitled players will come and ruin them for you. Stay strong friend

  • @Poweas said:

How 'bout the devs bring back hatch standoffs, so these newer players can see how imbalanced hatch WAS and what detrimental impact it had on games, because these newer players seem to think hatch is 'bs' in its current state, when it really isn't.

It isn't a 'free escape'. Hatch is there to prevent the survivor hiding forever, and also to give survivors a chance if they were stuck with a bad team.

I'm genuinely disgusted at the entitlement being shown. I'm grateful (as both sides) that hatch standoffs were removed, and I think hatch is balanced.

I'm not trying to shove my opinion down people's throat, but these hatch complaints are showing a whole new level of entitlement.

    Dear god no,

    No

    No

    No

Please bro, dont give them any ideas. The hatch is finally more fair now.

Right? How the hell does anyone play that killer?

I keep trying because the concept is cool, but holy hell. Cannot kill anyone for the life of me.

Shes in a sorry state indeed. I must admit, Ive slid back into Ghostface and Freddy, after a brief affair with Mrs. Smith.

For example: if I get blinded at a pallet, I will always tunnel them to death because there's no reason for it in my opinion.

Only if theyre being overly toxic

    Ex.

Excessive teabagging (survivors use this to communicate, so its not always toxic)

Excessive flashlight clicking (sometimes to grab attention to get me off their friend, sometimes being an arsehole)

Gesturing after a stun (this almost guarantees a tunnel, because theres no way its not BM. Other than that, if a survivor points or beckons me in the open, Ill usually stand still and see what they want)

Ill never tunnel for just blinding me at a pallet though. I wouldnt recommend doing that every single blind.
