Like srsly he needs a buff to him,his power and his perks
i propose
-add ons rework
-rat liver in base kit
-you don't scream when you teleport OR make undetectable status effect longer like 5 seconds (and fix loud steps)

it's a high effort/low reward killer. STBFL is a must against good survivors.

Pop, Thrilling tremors, surge and thanatophobia

Just wondering what other games the dbd community plays. I recently got the GOTY witcher 3 for £13.99 on offer on the ps store. Play through the resi series frequently aswell. I played COD religiously for years and sort of lost my love for single player gaming u till I picked up my vita and played through MGS1 and brought back a ton of memories. Also bought the parraper the rappa remastered game

Yeah, most of Legion's add-ons are either unusable or just bad.
The only good one's imo, are the FF extending add-ons, the Broken Pin, Defaced Smiley Pin and Iridescent Pin, and the Rulers. Everything else is either broken (Frank's Mixtape or Stab Wound Study) or useless (stun decreased/Killer Instinct Range Extenders)
stun decrease is useless? xD

@LeftPreston said:
Maybe its just a me thing but add ons are horrible and his power is way too loud to be sneaky. Although the demo can teleport to a gen it doesnt provide that much. If there is anything you would like to add, comment
i agree. For me they should rework add ons (except rat liver and tail), then either remove the screams (or at least lower them) or increase the undetectable status effect aftee coming out of a portal
-
@Nebula said:
This would take so much confusion away especially for newer players. I have a friend that is just getting into the game and he is constantly bringing add-ons for survivor and killer that are practically worthless, but because of the wording of the descriptions, he thinks that they're amazing. Things like Demo's red moss that says TREMENDOUSLY increases the undetectable status after exiting a portal but it takes it from 2 seconds to like 2.5? That's just purposely misleading and confusing especially to new players.
I honestly don't see what the downside would be, it's much easier to understand numbers and percentages than it is for words like moderately, slightly, etc., especially if you don't know the base value of that add-on.
it's 8 seconds for a total of 10. It's tremendously

hoenstly legion is not fun to play against now, if you now add the fact that he has infinite frenzy and can mori you without hooking is so much more annoying. Your idea can be modified like: when you have (insert number here) tokens, you can be put in the dying state by feral frenzy. After you've been downed by it, the tokens reset. The mori thing can be an add on like myers.

@DarKaron said:
Hey everyone, my name's Dar'Karon, and I've got a concept to run past you all today.
So, I've noticed how the Legion is considered to be incredibly toxic, even at the baby levels, and they are also quite boring to play against. Today, I hope to remedy that a little bit! Allow me to introduce you to...
The Legion: Reworked(Conceptually)
First and foremost, let's cover the basics:
The Legion retains their movement speed of 115%, or 4.6 m/s, and their alternate movement speed is 130% or 5.2 m/s. Their height is average, but nothing changed there.
Their perks remain the same, this is not a perk rework.
So now we've covered the basics, so let's cover...
Feral Frenzy:
- By pressing the Power button, the Legion enters a deadly rage, granting them an increased movement speed of 5.2 m/s.
- Additionally, they can vault pallets while Feral Frenzy is active, and they vault both pallets and windows with increased speed(Approximately 0.9 seconds).
- Survivor scratch marks and blood pools are hidden from the Legion and only become visible again once Feral Frenzy is deactivated.
- Missing an attack ends Feral Frenzy, dropping the power bar to empty.
- Feral Frenzy now lasts forever, provided the requirements listed below are not met.
"So what's changed?", I hear you asking. Well, let me show you!
The Changes:
Deep Wound: While Feral Frenzy is active, hitting a Survivor who is not afflicted with the Deep Wound status:
- Applies the Deep Wound status effect.
- Injures survivors who are not already injured.
- Reveals the auras of all other survivors not inside lockers for 3 seconds.
- Adds one Stab Wound stack to the Survivor.
While Feral Frenzy is active, hitting a Survivor who is already affected by Deep Wound or missing an attack:
- Depletes the Legion's Power gauge and ends Feral Frenzy, stunning the Legion for 5 seconds.
- Feral Frenzy cannot be activated again until the Power gauge is filled.
So, already, we have a slight tweak that promotes not tunneling, because that drops your Power gauge to nil. But we aren't done yet, folks!
The New stuff:
Stab Wound: While Feral Frenzy is active, basic attacks apply one stack of the Stab Wound status effect. While a Survivors has at least one stack of Stab Wound:
- They suffer from the Mangled status effect.
- Additionally, upon reaching 5 stacks of Stab Wound, the Legion may deactivate Feral Frenzy manually, stunning them for 3 seconds before they may grab the target and perform a quickened Mori, in line with Executioner's Final Judgement, although this triggers by grabbing the Survivor in question and immediately following it up with a Mori, similarly to the Shape using certain add-ons.
The design philosophy behind this Legion rework concept was to turn them into more of a "Hide-and-seek" killer, while also punishing tunneling, and rewarding patience with the endgame Mori chain. Also, I found it quite ironic that the Legion, despite their name, was really quite awful at dealing with groups of survivors, coordinated or no.
Either way, I hope you all enjoyed the concept, and please let me know what you think! I'm open to critique and debate, seeing as this is my first rework concept.
(EDIT: Added bolding and italics to make certain words more in-line with the others.)
(EDIT-EDIT: Added the descriptor detailing that Feral Frenzy lasts forever unless cancelled or when the Legion attacks a Survivor with Deep Wound.)
so hooking becomes useless? pyramid head at least has to cage/hook you 2 times before kiling you. this legion just needs to run back and forth in the map and just gaining stacks.
just make legion like this:
-infinite frenzy until you hit a survivor
-the more you do chain hits the less the cooldown
-

SWF offer advantages that are otherwise unavailable to solo players and break fragile balance of Killer-Survs interactions. Higher the survivors rank and cooperation is the less successful Killer will be. How about adding some limits to SWF chaining and slow down rank boosting by making a new mechanic that will prevent abusing swf?
For each SWF game player accumulate Rank Corruption pips (new tracker). Once maximum corruption is achieved player cannot play any SWF games anymore until all corruption is purged. You can purge it by playing and getting pips in solo games.
- Depending on individual SWF player rank Entity assigns corruption pips (independently from group size):
- Brown: +0 for participation
- Yellow: +1 for participation
- Green: +2 for participation
- Purple: +3 for participation, -1 on escape
- Red: +3 for participation, -1 on escape, +1 on death
- Additionally, depending on how many players took a part in SWF individual player would be assigned Rank Corruption Pips:
- group of 2: +0 on safety pip, +0 on pip, +1 on 2 pips
- group of 3: +0 on safety pip, +1 on pip, +2 on 2 pips
- group of 4: +1 on safety pip, +2 on pip, +3 on 2 pips
- Max corruption that player can accumulate depends on his rank:
- Brown: 4
- Yellow: 5
- Green: 7
- Purple: 10
- Red: 14
- Once player reach max Corruption he can no longer play in party until all RCP are purged. Each SOLO game will remove certain amount of RCP:
- 4 on 2 pips
- 2 on pip
- 1 on safety pip
What's the point of that?
- Removes boosting from the game as you can no longer play SWF games only, you have to use your own skill in solo games to prove your worth.
- Players with skills out of their rank will be forced to "recalibrate" more often.
- Prevents SWF spamming because you cannot chain SWF endlessly - you have to play some games solo, especially if you dominate in matches.
- Newbies and Immersed players won't be as punished for playing in party as higher ranks since their cooperation isn't that impactful.
- To remove RCP player need to win games so there is no point in joining solo queue just to suicide early.
- If party is way too successful it means their cooperation and individual skill is way higher than killer can manage. Which means they should receive higher party "penalties" to reduce their impact on health of overall community.
What can be improved?
Numbers are arbitrary and not cross-calculated, they may be still improved by taking into account things I haven't thought about.
By starting this topic I want to start discussions on how to improve things, I'm not looking for confirmation if my idea is good or not. I'm just giving a starting idea that can be improved further, let's brainstorm here for a while...
after cooldown to nurse and billy let's add cooldown for swf xD
- Depending on individual SWF player rank Entity assigns corruption pips (independently from group size):

Dear god no. Legion 1.0 was the most busted killer on release and NEEEDED to be changed. This is coming from a Killer and Legion main. Does this mean Legion deserves zero buffs whatsoever? Absolutely not, but Legion needs to be buffed in a way that doesn't bring old Legion back. I'd say start at lowering the stun time after Frenzy by a second or so and go from there, or make needing to Mend more threatening.
infinite frenzy until you get a hit and the more you chain the less the cooldown you get
-
@lordtomato said:
I see, the main problem is legion can look down and the mend timer runs out, so the thing needs to be fixed is the chase system, not Legion. We need to find the original cause of the problem to fix it. Like you are late to school because of traffic jam and you got punish by the teacher but it is actually not your fault, it is because of traffic jam! And sometimes when in deep wound the screen is so dark and you can't even see, so make it brighter. To fix a problem is just not to kill it to finish it, is to find the cause and fix it. And yah, the thing I appreciate is the changes of mettle of man, the idea of it is great, just protection hit is bad. So devs fix protection hit, not mettle of man, which is a wise choice. Same as legion, not to fix him, is to fix the chase system. If most of you still disagree so I apologise because maybe it is just my personal and selfish view.
you said a completely different thing before. You said that legion 1.0 was absolutely fine and that he didn't need any changes

Unpopular because of my less than stellar killer skill set. These are my opinions on these killers based on my fun and abilities with them.
Trapper - c tier - basically an m1 killer who i dont have the luck nor map sense to utilize to full ability. That and I cant stop talking like saminations trapper for hours after i play him.
Wraith - d tier - i once chased an adam around a map and missed like 5 basic attacks in a row. Bing bong boy is my least favorite killer to face and so i usually avoid playing him.
Billy - c tier - i just dont like him. But hes better than some others that i simply dont like
Nurse - f tier - never put the time in to learn. Dont care to. Only redeeming quality is sime cosmetics are nice
Hag - b tier - most dont know how to play against her. Thats an advantage. I havent really played her in awhile so im dropping the score. I did enjoy her for awhile. Also her cosmetics suck.
Doctor - a tier - the screams...oh the screams. My sadistic pleasure. Plus a baseball bat. Love him. 2nd best designed character as far as personality in game.
Huntress - a+ tier - the single greatest character in the game. Every aspect of her design helps to tell her story and her character. From her lullaby to her petulant childish hissy fits when pallet stunned. Her power is simple and hard to master. Yet very rewarding with practice. A+ because im not where i want to be yet with her. Also great cosmetics.
Myers - c tier - cause screw spine chill. Thats and hes my least favorite of the big 3 icons. Not a bad killer, just not my thing.
Spirit - b tier - i dont use headphones and i suck at tracking. If i can hit with her power its sheer luck. Love her design and cosmetics.
Clown - s tier - yeah so? My list! He sucks but hes so much fun. Love his design and his mr puddles outfit. And his santa outfit. His marionette outfit is just disturbing. Why s tier? Because when i want to sweat the 4k, i use clown. And i rarely get disappointed.
Legion - d tier - his power sucks and is almost too fast for me. His aesthetic and cosmetics are awesome, and best menu musuc in the game.
Plague - f tier - i dont like her. Never been big on the Asian vomit videos. Her weapon makes tracking hard for me.
Pallet Freddy - a tier- pallets are so much fun. Still prefer OG though
Snare Freddy - f tier - for freaking boring! Still prefer OG though. Incase you missed it.
Bubba - c tier - has a place in my heart as the first killer i ebonyd everyone off first hook with. I hope his changes are good. I miss playing the fool.
Ghostface - b tier - hes aight. He waa fun the first few times i played him but lost interest in his style. Not a fan of the cosmetics either. But still decent
Deathslinger - b tier - another one whos just ok. Better than some. No animosity towards him. Jist not my thing.
Demo - c tier - clunky. Not worth learning well for me at the moment. Just not a fan. Not horrible.
Oni - f tier - i cant do crap with him. At all. Love the story and the samurai vibes. Hate the play.
Pyramid Head - c tier - havent plyed enough yet but enjoyed when i did. Hea stupud looking and i never cared for silent hill. Will probably get to know him better soon.
These are my opinions. Thanks for reading
i mean is not unpopular, is just how much you enjoy those characters, i guess we are all really different

not changed in a strong killer tho...

is not only counterplay, legion was also annoying af (now too but waaay less)

When playing as the killer do you have a least favourite survivor, who you are more determined to sacrifice then any other survivor. If so, who and why?
For me it's Nea. It's not because of her aesthetic design, as Nea use to be one of the main survivors I played back in 2018.
The reason Nea is my least favourite survivor when I'm playing as the killer, is due to the players playing as her. This stems from my experience as a someone who mainly plays solo survivor and killer.
From my experience there's two common types of Nea players. The first is the immersive Nea, they'll just urban evade around the map not doing anything.
The second most common Nea players are the ones who want to be the next No0b3, but can't last in a chase and get downed in 10 seconds, then most likely DC. These players often interfere when you're looping the killer, in most cases they'll throw the down the pallet your using early or get in the way.
Plus, when I'm playing as the killer, it's often the Nea players that send me toxic post game messages.
On the polar opposite side, I'll often give Feng Min's the hatch if they're the last remaining survivor.
every survivor that has dyed hair. And Ace. ######### you Ace.

So I tried searching it to see if its been suggested but all I saw was a bunch of suggestions about reworking Legion. I'm not suggesting that.
I was honestly surprised when I discovered that this is NOT how Legion worked, because it seemed way to obvious a feature to not implement. Basically, "Legion" implies, and is supposed to be, a group of killers who assault the survivors quickly and viciously because there is so many of them, but yet you can only play as one throughout the match while there are tons of skins for each character?
Why not have Legions skin change after each successful hit with Feral Frenzy? Then it would be like a different character chasing down each individual survivor and applying the deep wound. Then you could have a personalized skin for each character, and such as the teddy bear skins, basically just the color would change with each hit. This would make it seem like there actually was a group after the survivors, rather than just having stumbled upon one member of the group at a time.
I'm not sure what all it would take to implement this change, but I assume it wouldn't take a ton considering that Oni basically changes his skin when raging, and I'm also not asking for a huge rework, as far as I'm concerned Legion is just fine in that department.
i want to play susie during all the match. i don't want this

It's a depressing time for everyone with the virus outbreak. So I came back to play DBD after a 6 month break, to play the new exciting chapter of Silent Hill, to lookover the balance changes to the game which showed promise and to get my mind off these stressful times. Unfortunately DBD is stil unbalanced and stressful to peoples health for those who play killer, it feels like this game makes people more angry and depresssed then ever. It's brought upon from killer players who have been begging for years for changes to the meta of the game so its more balance. With each new update the changes to survivors to make them more balance never happens, only small changes are made which make no difference e.g the small slow down to cooperative gen progression. In the next update these going to be a nerf change to billy which they didn't disccuss in the 4 year anniversary community video. Why out of all the changes would you nerf Billy? He wasn't that strong. Where is the clown rework? Killer players or who play both sides like myself have been begging for changes to the massive maps? What about the keys? The hatch? Gen speed? Survivor friends? or the over used meta perks survivors use like decisive strike, I'm pretty sure it's used more then the old ruin ever did, I use it myself, its boring for everyone and a game changer. Yes there is also problems with killers eg. tunneling and moris but survivor strengths out way the killer ones by far, thats why when the Devs nerf killers the community is divided more when it shouldn't. This games player base is on a knife edge, to all killer players if you want change for the game like I did please stop playing the game for the change and for your health. Its the only way to push the point across. Playing as the killer for me has been too stressful and its made me feel depressed, the biggest factor is the toxic survivor friend bully teams. Not every surivivor is like this but I large majority of them make life miserable for killers which I guess makes them feel good about themselves. With this being a daily occurance for me it has resulted in me feeling anxious about myself and I bet I'm not the only one who feels the same way. So after playing so many stressful killer games as freddy today, being provoked, bullied, attacked, limited in my ability, I decdied to quit for good because of how much this game has impacted my mental and physical health. I play all killers in red ranks and survivors so I understand them all, I Played over 1,000 hours and enough is enough. I know for a fact I am not the only one who feels this way, with looking over the forums and youtubers like Tru3, Space Coconut, Bricky and many others have express this same concern for years with hardly any big changes. I'll link a video in the description below of a video that Bricky made 2 years ago about how broken the meta is in DBD and its still relevant today. I love this game I want it to be fair for both sides, this game can be fun, in addiction It's amazing to me how the devs have gotten so many license characters which I love in movies and other media but Im sorry Devs I just can't take the pressure anymore and no one should. It's disappointing because most of the issues can be easily changed but it takes years for something real to happen. So goodbye Dead by daylight it's sad but I just can't take it anymore, don't let this game affect your health like it did for me. Stay safe everyone!!!
agree on all but i won't quit. I'm main killer but i will play survivor until the game is balanced. Killer is too stressful.

When Mettle was first released, it was the most busted perk in the game. It was a free health state that made every m1 killer just complete hell to play, as you'd end up having 4 of your hits just completely invalidated at endgame if everyone ran it (and just about everyone did). Free speed burst, no mend time, just from getting hit earlier in the game.
ooh right i took a long pause and i skipped MoM period
-
@handfulofrain said:
Apparently the reason is because they don't want to release anymore "pay to win" perks after the Mettle of Man incident; however, they apparently think that completely useless is the next step below game-breaking.

but recently i've gotten into playing killer, i've even got some auric cells to buy some skins for the ones i wanna main! :)
so i mainly wanna main legion, and my ideal perk build for him is: corrupt intervention, bbq & chili, NOED, and pop goes the weasel
and i wanna also main freddy but i'm not sure if he's good or not so i'm gonna set him aside, i'm going to prioritize maining legion and getting the perks for him after i finish leveling up my desired survivors
-- if you have any ideal good perk builds, please comment them! :D
if you want a reliable build follow otzdarva's build. thrilling tremors, surge, pop and enduring or thanato. I don't have pop and thrilling so i currently have a different build with enduring+spirit fury.

"Not as Survivor though"
That's the whole issue. Survivors are able to cover for each other to a pretty substantial extent in terms of new/poor teammates, bad perks, etc. Killers don't have that luxury.
exactly, that's the point. Also if they have perks they are hella strong like facing 4 survivors with sprint burst, ds, borrowed time and unbreakable makes me burn my own gonads. It's 4 perks and one mind versus 16 perks and 4 minds.

I hate noed like if u go up aganst a killer who camps, tunnels, u name it and u manage to get all gens done (at the cost of ur friend because they ran the killer the whole game) and your at the exit gate about to escape but nope noed just deletes all ur time and effort and the thing that annoys me the most If the perk noed gets a speed boost like why surely you should be slower for using the perk and overall its broken and everyone hates it yet the devs do absolutely nothing about it
counter of noed = do bones (which is survivor's optional objective)
counter ds = wait 60 seconds and waste a lot of time

Yeahhh, in all honesty the quality's been dropping since maybe the Spirit. Been a steady decline with each DLC until this last one where we get a rather fun killer, who has awful perks. A survivor with decent perks, but probably the worst cosmetic in the game purely for it's pricetag. Along with a map that makes it so only certain parts have any sort of footsteps, barely any ways to traverse around it, and is filled with it's own sounds that are so obnoxiously loud you couldn't hear a Jeff moaning next to you if he was doing it through a megaphone.
Combined with how they have more bugs than Ant's Canada and how survivors can still put out gens faster than I do the same for a girl with red hair, feels like they need to have a break from DLC's to fix and balance their game.
yeah and if you make a single mistake, if they all escape is only because "noob 0k" and not because the game is unbalanced

in high ranks you just need more game knowledge and most importantly good perks, if you have bad perks you already lost (not as survivor tho)

they need to revert the blind for one. How come Bubba isnt blinded when he comes out of chainsaw? Or Deathslinger get blinded after he shoots? Because its terrible, but legion gets blinded.
