  • Hatch is survivor objective. Why should the killer get something for finding a survivor objective?

  • SWF.
Or always run Kindred, Sprint Burst, Self Care, and Decisive Strike. 🤷‍♂️
  • It doesn't make sense to pause and do a spin while already on one side of the pallet anyway.
The hits you got were because of a shoddy mechanic. Learn to get good and earn your hits.
  • You should be happy when survivors do gens together. You can at least stop them before they get momentum.
What's way more triggering is hearing three gens pop in a row as you down the first person. 😏

I think it's time we start getting mods with fresh perspectives.

Or more importantly, someone who isn't afraid to speak about how horribly balanced the game is.

That's not what a mod does or is supposed to do, mods act as impartial towards both sides, they also have nothing to do with game management or development.

If you look at the mods on here they don't post with any of that bias at all. They don't go into a thread and say well this thread is survivor biased lets bash them etc type of thing.

I think you misunderstand my words.

As far as I know, mods uphold the forum rules and act as arbiters during discussions (mostly making sure conversations stay civil).

I'm sure Tsulan is perfectly capable of that. He's been very thoughtful with his responses on the forums.

That said, mods definitely have their opinions about the game. I see them making comments regarding balance all the time.

It just so happens that I disagree with them on a number of issues.

I'd like to see someone who represents a different outlook on the game.

That's not to say Tsulan would shove his opinions down everyone's throat. His main job would be to act as a mod.

    Thank you!

@Visionmaker i honestly didn´t know player focused groups exist. Devs never mentioned it.

They're usually a secret. They sign Non-disclosure Agreements and have "secret" meetings and channels to discuss the game. Gather community input. Stuff like that. I'm sure the devs aren't stupid enough not to have one/multiple.

But you didn't hear it from me. :)

I definitely hope they keep game perspective out of the equation. Things will go down hill if they don't.

Mods shouldn't be chosen because of outspoken opinions. They should be chosen for how they carry themselves and how they interact with other users.

Hopefully Tsulan is past the days of getting upset by downvotes because being a moderator will subject him to criticism that is much worse, assuming he is a candidate.

I have no doubt that Tsulan can keep his personal views to himself.

But I definitely think you make a good point. If we're aiming for true impartiality, then mods should keep their opinions out it.

I've been looking at the For Honor forums and the mods there are quite different.

Even when the issue of balance comes up, they say something along the lines of "As far as the dev team is concerned, this hero is an a good spot. But we'll closely monitor the situation".

Perhaps the mods should be more like that?

Ideally, yes. Mods should be posting on shell accounts for sure, if they want to interact with users casually.

The way it happens now, I chalk it up to inexperience. Mods are all normal-people-volunteers, and BHVR isn't exactly a behemoth in the gaming industry, or a large organization to begin with. Just seeing the work distribution of the current employees, it's not surprising to see things not completely thought through here and there. We just have to wait for it to be addressed... basically when someone gets angry and complains.

I can't even tell what the mods play.

Most game forums wouldn't really be so tolerant of mods chipping in their opinions (not to be rude) as much as Peanits already does. Simply having the title of moderator sanctions and leverages the person's opinion. It would be completely unacceptable to have a moderator that is outspoken in a partial way.

Each time a mod posts, you literally get a shortcut to their comment. We cannot be having biased moderator posts because it unfairly drowns out everyone else's.

Well, how else can you explain this horrible game balance?

Killers have been at a disadvantage since the game released.> @Vietfox said:

@Visionmaker is right. I've never seen mods/CM from other forums giving their opinion about balance. They mainly reply when it's about bugs, fps, servers not working and that kind of stuff, to let people know they are aware of the situation.

Then why do they do it?

If the devs are allowing mods to chime in on balance, then I want Tsulan to be a mod.

Lmao. It's not because the MODERATORS make it so, if that's what you're suggesting!

"Why do they do it" is not the right question to be asking. It is "should they do it"? The answer is no. Honestly, no. No one should be saying "I disagree with the forum mod about game balance." The mod should not have a mod flair when posting and ideally should be posting on an alternate account.

The answer to why it happens is because the forum managers allowed it to happen as a privilege. Consider it an oversight. Maybe they will consider adjusting this minor issue in the future.

    Mods dont tweak the game.

And that's a shame. Imagine if the mods could influence the devs. Give them a new perspective.
I mean the "play with the devs" made it obvious that they need some high rank players in their team.
    To balance this game.

I'm surprised you think they have no player focus groups, and that you think moderators are appropriate for this cause.

Moderators actually have power in the game and forum. They should not be recruited to sway opinions. Ideally, moderators are moderate and need to have impartial judgment for their role as arbitrators/enforcers. They should have absolutely no role or say in game development or balancing.

And I say this as someone who's been part of a moderation team and a player focus group. :/

  • Clown Changes:

    • Reduced movement speed. Clown has not been doing cardio and now suffers from Type II diabetes.
    • Clown chase music now has a trombone playing to emphasis his big fat steps.
    • Clown now squeaks with each step because he has clown shoes.
    • Intoxication: Upon being hit by the tonic, the survivor is additionally stunned for 2 seconds to wheeze and cough. The survivor also gains bloodshot eyes and smiles very weirdly because they're drunk and high.
    • Hangover: Survivors have 50% reduced action speed for 120 seconds after being hit by the tonic.
  • I don't think they want killers to do skill checks.

But that idea reminds me of a Yugioh duel. "You've activated my trap card!" "No you!" "Nooo, you!" "No, no, no, you!" etc.

So - now you play the game at rank 10 -15 and intentionally play like trash ( not because you're bad because you choose too? ok lol) but you've also decided to (despite losing intentionally and playing poorly to keep in your rank 10-15 safety net) complain about how hard killer is when you've confessed yourself you don't even play properly, am I getting this right? You play badly on purpose, but come to the forums to complain about how hard it is to win?

oh my god, you actually can't make this up, LOL.

We all play at different ranks, no reason to bring up rank when the core issue of the game at hand is flawed..

Large number of lagswitch reports on a player's account will lead to Temporary ban escalation.

@not_Queen i have like 13 fps and not very good internet and that makes so that everyone lags no matter what.

Would i get banned for that? Because im afraid of being banned due to "lagswitch" reports accumulating like crasy now.

I don't think people will report you for general lag. It's obvious at the beginning of the game after the loading period if the game will be laggy. You will experience stutters from the start. The lobby ping will wildly fluctuate.

But if you're only "lagging" during chases or when someone is about to hook save after a perfect lobby and start up, then maybe you should be more careful with your "lagging"...

Did you even look at the other divisions they have? While people may have moved over may'be they wanted to, they've also gone on a hiring spree so perhaps those people got replaced.

If someone wanted a new opportunity and decided to move over and you said sorry you've got to stay here. Well guess what they go to work for someone else that's willing to give them a new opportunity.

? Why does that matter? Good for the employees if they make their own decisions in an organization... But this has less to do with individual employees than the executives that are actually making significant decisions.. Such as not pushing for dedicated servers.

    Just an FYI.

  • It's the Eurasian way of saying thank you.

    @SenzuDuck Yes that's true.
In addition to it, most lagswitches are taken down by EAC.
Large number of lagswitch reports on a player's account will lead to Temporary ban escalation.

Good to hear, sharing internet in a household is a big problem, if my sister ended up uploading something or downloading movies, it will no doubt affect players ping in game

if only we had dedicated server

F13 gets dedicated servers... while DBD invests resources into a totally separate flop of a game.

    Good thinking, upper management!

I think some people got mad. And there have been changes made that absolutely no one has asked for, and they hadn't relented despite a significant portion of the community going so far as review bombing to protest. Your "viewpoint" (accusation) was presented as a fact. Don't act surprised when people call you out on BS.

You just seem angry for no particular reason. Calm down. Have a soothing beverage.

You are paranoid. You should take off your crazy goggles. It's not healthy to assume that everyone is angrily out to get you.

Nah I'm not paranoid. You just seem overly aggressive for some unknown reason. Don't worry, just breathe deeply and you'll be fine. Take a nice relaxing moment. :)

It's not aggression. It's just a normal reaction to stupid comments.

But hey, it's not you, it must be everyone else.

Uh no, haven't said anyone else was having an issue. Or myself. Are...are you ok? It's like you're answering a different person. Maybe you need to lay down, get some rest. It's ok. We're here for you.

Oh, so when you were saying "some people", you were just being passive aggressive.

Got it. Say dumb #########. Get defensive when multiple posters call you out on it. Then pick a fight to act like you're a victim. Good strategy.

  • Sometimes you don't need to use a 3rd party program to lagswitch, and thus it's harder to prove that it's intentional. But realistically, it looks like the devs just don't take it seriously even though it makes the game completely unfun.

And idk.. it makes no sense that 'hacking' a prestige or legacy is that big of a deal. It has little impact on the game. You can't even lose money from that since people don't pay for them to begin with.

  • All I know is they're nerfing it because Jendenise asked for it. I remember thatwhole debate going on based on her asking the devs on twitter and their response being positive towards it.
They were considering this prior to speaking to her. They announced it in a dev stream long ago. She merely posted what they had decided on long before.
If you think they're changing the game over one streamer's opinion, you're delusional.
  • Make it like Amnesia or Silent Hills in terms of spookiness, but with team work like White Noise 2 (even after death).

  • If people are going to go ballistic over a meme, they really should uninstall.

Despite their fervor, the community doesn't need any more toxic children.

I like "Soon." It means that it COULD be today, but leaves wiggle room to not have i today too

Soon is a meme though. I've never heard anyone dev say "SoonTM" and actually release it day of.

I feel for her; it's pretty clear her hands are tied. The "Soon™" thing was out of touch but, bless them, who at Behavior isn't out of touch?

Lol I thought her response was fine.
  • Dlc when? Only cause I love the new chapter and can't wait for it to be released.. :)
But most of us are adults who won't die from waiting.
  • You're upset for no reason. Take a seat.
