A better DS change or a whole new perk?
Here's a thought...
Instead of Decisive Strike being a one and done type of thing that killers can't avoid w/o juggling what if it became an actual "fight" and actually making the perk become player "Decisive"
By fight I mean a fight of skill checks. Here's the scenario....
Killer picks up the survivor : the survivor can decide when to use the perk just like Dead Hard. If chosen to do so then the fight begins. If the survivor succeeds in their skill check then the killer will have to do one as well. Lets say the survivor gets 2 or 3 opportunities to "strike" for the entire match , but at the cost of each of those skill check increasing in speed and a smaller success zone for both killer and survivor. Success of a strike results in the use of the perk altogether just like normal
Survivor fails- they try again or they get hooked
Killer fails- Survivor escapes
Granted....yes killers do have a lot on their plate as is, but it does allow for a counter to the perk that becomes fair and dependant on performance.

I don't think they want killers to do skill checks.
But that idea reminds me of a Yugioh duel. "You've activated my trap card!" "No you!" "Nooo, you!" "No, no, no, you!" etc.
