Oh and survivors are now getting the 2x depip as if they dc'd when the killers basically finding ways to forcibly dc everyone.

    Is this happening a lot?

It happens on console, not for PC.

So where is the requeue lobby survivors have been asking for for years now?

Oh wait. Never happened, obviously because they only care about killers. :^)

  • It should be only outside of a chase.

Right now the biggest issue I can see is that it can be overpowered as a supplementary chase perk. Seeing killers for 6s every time a pallet is broken during chases is really strong.

I also agree that it's silly that it's in some ways stronger than OoO.

I want to use it to give me a heads up on toxic killers. I'm not looking for a competitive edge against killers. I simply don't want to play in a game where I get tunneled/face camped and mori'd.

So playing the game as intended is toxic for you? Yikes

There are killers that dodge because there are too many toolboxes or flashlights, prestige survivors, survivors with too many playtime, etc., etc.

I will say this again and again, Killers can already arbitrarily decide what is toxic or unfavorable to play against, without penalty as it is. Whatever complaints or grievances you have against survivors using MLGA to cherry pick killers can be applied to killers being able to cherry pick lobbies by design.

Every player has a right not to play with toxic people. SURVIVORS included. Killers have been spoiled rotten by abusing that exclusive privilege.

Doesnt change the fact that MLGA is not accepted by the devs anymore

    Because they're hypocrites, I know.

I think it's just safe to assume he is bad at this game, we should move on.

0 response to my argument except "you are bad lol!!!!!!"
    typical of survivor mains tbh

My mindset is one at the highest level of play with efficient and consistent survivors, i really don't see how more even pallet distribution is in any way bad for survivors.

Because they are a SURVIVOR tool, not a killer tool, they are to be used by SURVIVORS, not KILLERS. So they aren't made to be 100% your side, you can eat the pallet, or mind game, or use the PLETHORA of counters killers have to make them easier to steam roll through.

But this means that survivors are less likely to be in a loop for a longer time, I don't understand how you think it's a buff LOL

BUT SURVIVOR HAVE TO REACH THEM FOR THEM BE USEFUL.

No more dead zones is apparently good for killers now, this is only going to lead to easier looping now that its going to be impossible for survivors to misposition.
Good survivors know where to position as it is. Sprint Burst already makes it nigh impossible to be caught without a pallet. Dead zones are never a problem for non-newbies...
What survivors are you facing that can somehow out game you at every pallet but doesn't know to avoid dead zones?
Why do you think survivors like looping cow tree? Because you're guaranteed to survive for at least 1 extra minute, and everyone knows to avoid it when someone else is being chased. It's a figure 8 loop just like double pallets (see silo, chapel, and to a lesser extent, the meat plant basement).
This is such a basic concept. I'm shocked that you are framing this is a survivor buff, especially for "efficient" survivors. 🤦‍♂️

pallets are more spread out: more likely to drag out a loop for longer.

Pallets are closer together: looping does not need to apply pressure to other parts of the map for longer.

We can go back and forth about this all day but an even distribution of pallets across the map is better than bunches and dead zones

It is better for killers. The only map that had significant pallet dead-zones that impacted survival is the swamp maps, which have already been nerfed in addition.

I've heard literally no survivors complain about pallets spawning too close to each other. None.

But for killers? It is pretty annoying for two pallets to be next to each other. They fixed it for them. Not for survivors. Let's get that straight.

having a pallet within SB distance 100% of the time isn't a good thing for killers

Which high rank survivors will always be near already, as it is.

Two pallets next to each other is not able to be mind-gamed and wastes far more time. It takes away map pressure. It is significantly worse for killers.

most pallets are already impossible to mindgame...

I say this every patch. The devs are trying to please the wrong people.

They hit every point except DS and Freddy buffs, and yet it's always "OMG DEVS DO NOTHING". Like clockwork, self-entitled players just cry until they get every little thing they want, no matter how much devs try to give.

You also might want to add that fast vaults are much harder to achieve now. But hey, I guess survivors aren't nerfed enough until they're perma exposed and die on first hook, so that killers get the juicy 4ks they deserve every game.

It started out as a very useful tool to check the ping in a match before the devs added that feature into the base game. During that time, it was whitelisted by the devs.

It quickly devolved into a method of blocking players and learning the identity of killers before the match started. It was then un-whitelisted.

Ironic because killers can already do this by default. As if being able to check survivor steam profiles adds anything positive to the game.

That´s no the same, and you know it.

MLGA put killers on a black list, for playing as Freddy and other bullshit reasons.

What's stopping killers from manually leaving games with survivors for bullshit reasons?

You have not learned anything from the past, have you?

Survivors shared the MLGA lists where killers names were black listed because they played Freddy, used NOED, killer had skill or any other ridiculous excuse. Then those very people spend their time dodging killers. Which led to extreme lobby queues for both sides. This was only caused by survivors dodging. Not by killers dodging. You want to be able to see killers before the match. What makes you think that this time it would be any different?

Survivors got WGLF nerfed, because they hook farmed their teammates.

Survivors prevented the introduction of camp save hooks, by abusing the mechanic.

Yet you behave like that was the work of the killers.

I guarantee you, if survivors can see the name of the killer, the lobby queue times will skyrocket again, because people just don´t know how to behave.

So instead of both sides dodging, we now only have one side dodging. You're telling that the worst case scenario is worse than a bad scenario.

Why is it that one side is still able to dodge with no regard?

It makes no sense to me that 20% of players are allowed to police the behavior of 80%. The same exact argument applies except to a smaller scale.

20% has some degree of power over the 80%.
    Sounds like civilization to me.

Yes, there are numerous other issues with SWF.

However, it's 2018 and we play games with our friends. It's insane to think that we don't or won't and it's frustrating when you have to rebuild your party after every game. I don't normally play SWF and, in fact, haven't' in over a year since my wife stopped playing the game but it sucked and I don't get how they haven't fixed this in the 2.5 years the game has existed.

One would think it would be as simple and quick as hiding everyone's builds prior to match end, but here we are, 2.5 years later..

I ignore most of the complaints killers make, as they usually are just making mistakes and then blaming the game. This game has never been in a better spot and it's not as bad as people make it out to be.

Can we take a moment to just recognize that so many bad killers blame their losses on imaginary SWF?

I can see it now: after the post-game salt, they rush into the forums to make an angry thread about SWF when in reality, they got destroyed by a bunch of solos.

  • I don't use it on killers because there's just no room in my build, but from a survivor perspective, it is so debilitating. Makes healing after an unhook incredibly dangerous.

That's honestly what they need to do. Get rid of the cooldown and let her charge her power while moving. Then lower her to Nurse speed. Make her basically HAVE to use her power to get a hit, like a different flavor of Nurse.

Both would be high skillcap / low skill floor Killers. Except she can be juked in different ways (standing still, crouching, doubling back, etc) as opposed to Nurse and still suffers from the weakness of having to obey the laws of terrain / pallets / windows. Upside would be that she doesn't suffer from fatigue and obviously she has the whole invisibility thing going for her until the survivors notice her jet engine sounds.

She would be unplayable then, getting a hit on survivors that know how to work around her ability is already getting unlikely

Killer abilities have to have downsides, it can't all be upsides to using abilities, obviously they have counters.

So where's the downside to selfcare? Oh wait, only killers need to have downsides in a game that is pitted against them. Gotcha

Lmfao. "Killlers need to be balanced" "BUT MUH SELF CARE"

    You're ridiculous.

BBQ has a downside, just hide, nurses has a downside just don't heal in TR, Enduring saves you like what...1 sec on a pallet? softcounters a broken perk like DS?

And don't give me the spirit fury+enduring combo BS, that's ONLY a free hit if there isn't another window/pallet nearby, you still gain about 20 metres of distance.

Self-care doesn't help in chases or completing gens

    checkmate

All 4 members of the survivor team damaged? nah, doesn't matter they will just heal up with selfcare in btw less time than it takes them to heal each other. Thanatophobia is complete garbage due to Selfcare.

But survivors need selfcare ontop of instaheal medkits, DS and Adrenaline, which effectively means a killer has to hit you 5 times before he can hook you if you play absolutely perfect, no issues there nope.

Hiding right after the killer hooked a teammate? nah, doesn't matter killer will just find you across the map thanks to no brain no skill BBQC. Selfcare is complete garbage due to Sloppy Butcher

But killers need NOED ontop of ebony moris, 1shot hatchets, 5 blinks, instachainsaws, which effectively means a survivor will get downed in 2s before he can even reach a pallet if you play absolutely perfect, no issues there nope

As if there was a downside to any other perk. BBQC has a downside? Enduring has a downside? Nurse's Calling has a downside?

    You're ridiculous.

BBQ has a downside, just hide, nurses has a downside just don't heal in TR, Enduring saves you like what...1 sec on a pallet? softcounters a broken perk like DS?

And don't give me the spirit fury+enduring combo BS, that's ONLY a free hit if there isn't another window/pallet nearby, you still gain about 20 metres of distance.

Self-care doesn't help in chases or completing gens

Love how they buffed her cooldown even though they said they wouldn't

Because they have no clue what they're doing. Her power would still be weak compared to billy or even nurse, even if she had no cooldown.

Funny, complained about the Huntress new realistic hit box and that got fixed pretty quick. From bs hits to real ones and back again.

The fact that you considered the nerfed hit boxes "real ones" shows how no one should take you seriously.

I can't believe you think the Huntress's hit box is currently fair. They brought back the original because killers cried. The reason it was changed is they knew it was previously a joke. They adjust it and when you couldn't get your hits like before you say she is unplayable.

Huntress lands hit because of latency + inaccurate hitbox: "This is just how the game is, just adapt"
Huntress misses hit because of latency + accurate hitbox: "DEVS HAVE BROKEN THIS GAME"

Reason #8,135 for why we need dedicated servers.

When they discussed alternative mods i actually hope it is a mode where killers can play against bots that just run around and do nothing other than help build the killers self confidence that they are worth something because they got 4 kills.

    I thought of something better.

What the devs need is a mode with AI killers that survivors can play against. A killer that doesn't lobby dodge? Doesn't baby rage when survivors use items or perks they don't like? Doesn't facecamp just because the survivors used pallets? Doesn't whine about bodyblocking or game mechanics?

Give the AI every killer perk and strongest addons. Put two AI killers in each game. Survivors get to play with their friends and play however they want, and killers can enjoy their dead queues a game without SWF.

    It would be perfect.

I'm tired of that [BAD WORD] free win. Everytime I slug the third survivor, it waits as the other one finds the hatch, and it DCs. Then they scream "EZEZ TEAMWORK EZEZ KI.LLAH OUTPLAYED". How is this [BAD WORD] fair? How is it fair, that the last survivor has a guaranteed win everytime?

When will you add a "one free kill" button for the killers?

Yes, this is a rant, but a right one.

No its not the right one. get some skill. how about dont hook the 3rd survivor and look bait the 4th?

This guy is a perfect example of a survivor. He can't read. He just can't.

"Everytime I slug the third survivor, it waits as the other one finds the hatch, and it DCs. " - what's his answer to it? "how about dont hook the 3rd survivor and look bait the 4th?". Yeah, damn great, nice tip, lad.

Read the thread, you "not so smart people", as we can't insult here. I'm bitching about DC and unfair hatch, not the hatch as a whole, but survivors are gonna be survivors - they can't read, nor think logically.

Sounds like a d/c problem, not a hatch problem.
Instead of making the topic of your thread "delete the hatch", maybe it should've been "punish d/cs".

    And dumb.

Videoproof in a lagg-free game or it didnt happen

Doesn't need to be a lag-free game.. people will always call it latency, as if it were an excuse for bad mechanics.

No one complains when it's killer-sided latency.

  • They do this already for chases. Do you mean for when survivors flood the killer with sound notifications?

  • One player being chased while three others work on generators is not considered teamwork?
What is the goal here? Are four survivors supposed to participate in a chase to win? What is the interaction you envision? Because it sounds like you are describing F13.
Furthermore, every swarm tactic that survivors can use are considered insufferable by killers, so how is encouraging it going to improve the game experience?
How do you propose to handle the snowball effect? Three-survivor games are already considered to be a severe disadvantage, so how is a 4-times-stronger-than-now killer supposed to be balanced once the game goes on?

Except dribbling ends up taking a ridiculous amount of time which is a commodity in this game. Gen tapping saves time immensely in comparison and costs none.

In exchange for avoiding a DS, it saves *plenty* of time.

Doesn’t really matter. DS has been on the shrine, what, 5 times already before? Every scrub Survivor that wants to run it already has it. That’s the most common build I see. DS/Adrenaline/SC/SB (maybe Dead Hard).

What makes them scrubs for running it? I've not been around too long but every killer post moans about it yet it seems to be stopped quite easy? Just down them close to a hook, pick them up and drop them a few seconds later, rinse repeat. Or am I missing something?

Good survivors can be on the run for ages. Ages x 2 = lots of ages.

Yes, OP, it's broken at the moment. One guy hit the Survivor after they'd already started running and they were still invincible. Naturally, all the Survivor mains support this as it is now.

I think the mentioned above video is kinda iffy to say when you put it as a logical viewpoint, but I can see WHY they did it. It's to prevent dull moments that would've continued on if the meg didn't have immunity; but it's broken in the sense where it could end up giving free escapes. So yes, the unfreeing yourself immunity is clearly broken. You should make sure you're stating and making it clear.

The unhook where someone else performs it, the i-frame is not broken. I barely noticed the changes - mainly because I tend to chase and down the unhooker not the unhooked - but regardless if I needed the quick kill, it's barely noticed the I-frame because you actually have to time your hit. Sounds familiar.... like the decently good flashlight nerf that happened where you ACTUALLY have to time the save. Wow! I can't imagine having to try so hard for anything :/

Aside from sarcasm, it's clear the attempt escape unhook needs tweaking.

Honestly, I think one of two things should happen:

    1. BHVR removes the i-frames until the possibility of a free escape has been eliminated.
    2. The unhooker becomes Exposed during the unhooking action in order to discourage Survivors from rushing in for the unhook.

Also, the i-frames should not apply to Survivors unhooking themselves and Survivors shouldn’t be able to cancel the unhooking action instantly. If you kobe/get caught unhooking near the Killer, then that’s your fault and you deserve to go down again.

    That makes camping too strong.
They just need to change SB. That's the only perk that nearly guarantees an escape after unhook.

Here's the thing, survivors are getting REWARDED for farming now since it has no real punishment. They just SB away or DH pass you, additionally the exhaustion reset wasn't necessary since you recover while on the hook. I think the new unhook animation was okay since it allowed a mind game but now with the other stuff, expect to see more cocky survivors. Sorry about the rant :p

No they don't get rewarded. How do you come to such a conclusion? The guy can still be downed within 10 seconds. The ONLY difference now is that the guy has a chance to act, that's it. You make it sound like it's 100% a free escape when that's just flat out not true. It's a fair chance to escape, where before there was no chance to escape.

    @thesuicidefox
The i-frames and exhaustion reset gives a incentive to farming and I'll ask you this, "Do you like to get farmed?" Because now there's now more survivors farming and making bad plays now since the developers added a mechanic for playing poorly. Additionally I'll add on, I think that any bad plays in general shouldn't be rewarded to begin with coff coff farming.
I think horrible players will farm other players no matter what the circumstances for the hookee is.
If there is no penalty for the unhooker, then unsafe hooks will always be done.
The hookee is not responsible for what the unhooker does, yet prior to this, they were the only ones punished with no chance of survival. Now they have a second of run time, assuming the killer adapted to these changes.
That's the point, the unhooker doesn't get punished enough. I could farm every survivor because there's nothing stopping me (Not saying that I do farm btw, just making a example), benevolence points? Pff...

Make farming reduce all categories current BP by 25% and make WGLF only give stacks when it's a safe unhook. That will be enough for the unhooker to think twice before attempting to make a poor play.
Preferably the punishment is not so severe that people don't attempt at all lol.
But yeah, the WGLF stack is the most important here IMO.

  • How do you like to play survivor? Do generators? Get chased? Totem and chest hunter? Stealthy? Hook saver?
What killers do you like to play?
  • Not worth it. Flashlight saves are rare to begin with. There's no special antiflashlight build using Lightborn either. It just makes it impossible to save without two or more flashlighting in sync.
Franklin's Demise is way better, unless you *really* hate flashlights.

Didn't they want to make Exhaustion Perks less attractive?
If they reset Exhaustion on being hooked, it won't make the "Exhaustion won't recover while running" change have as much of an impact, nullifying the purpose of that change, which was to make Exhaustion Perks less attractive.

I'm not really one to care about this change, but the devs would seem like they contradict themselves with that change.

Their reasoning for the Exhaustion change was to prevent exhaustion perks from being used twice in the same chase. This was explicitly stated repeatedly in the Q&A.
    There is no contradiction.

I am not sure what the problem is. The only response to BL3 is "If you need it as a Killer, YOU are doing something wrong." So, basically, only the bad Killers need BL3 and 98% of all survivor main players who ever play Killer NEVER get past BL1, so there is no need for BL3. If this really is the case, then, why is there such a backlash against it? Why is there any need to remove it? (yes, BL3 is now BL2, with BL2 now at BL1.5).

It has been weeks since I have gotten to BL3 in a serious chase (chasing to be funny doesnt count) so I know there isnt a huge need for it, but, why remove it? If the arguments posted here are truthful, then, shouldnt BL get a Buff rather than a Nerf?

They already stated bl is getting a buff to it's base mechanics to smooth it out, that's been explained repeatedly in the thread. so I'm not sure what the point of your post is if it's already been explained multiple times why.

That was a really long time ago, so I dont think it's guaranteed to happen.
Regardless, BL was meant to be a bandaid fix for infinites. Now that they've nerfed the majority of them, it's only natural they'd start phasing BL out.
  • Lol I can't tell if you want it or don't.
