We all lose in the end. Do you think the devs will really put this much time and effort into an event if this is how the community will react?
Everyone gear up for another round of blue glowy eyes for the winter event. -
I honestly hope the devs ignore all of this and stick to their guns. Nothing encourages future temper tantrums like rewarding current ones.
-
Can't wait for the Clown's glowy eyes head instead of an evil Santa costume(or something awesome along those lines) for the winter event.Tsulan said:
Could you point out the past cash grab events?Zaram said:You guys are the reason we don't get good events. Just cashgrabs hidden as events
We get more than ever, but you complain that you can't get everything for free.
But don't worry. If enough people like you complain, they'll probably never do such a event again and only give us some glowing eye skins in the future. -
Along with the fan made wiki which the devs asked for the leaked event info to be taken down from.Tsulan said:

Then you still get the points when a Survivor finishes a plant. Just like Margarita machines and the Lunar gens. They mentioned that in the stream.Broccoli_Jaeger said:But only for the flowers. What if you aren't able to do them because the killer chases you the whole game etc? -
Mangled effects don't stack, so no.
-
I've played a few rounds of Survivor and the healing difference is noticable, but it isn't as game breaking as people seem to want to believe. It's just a little more dangerous to heal under hooks and Self Care takes a little longer.
Honestly, all this healing change will do is encourage smarter gameplay from Survivors and maybe the use of medkits instead of just relying on SC. -
How on Earth did you manage not to have a heart attack already when Killers could do that all this time already with most of the basement spawns?Radiant said:So killers can camp the stair to prevent unhook! And 1 gen camping comes free!Pretty good job!XD -
I've only seen the Nurse's new hook animation so far and I think it looks awesome. No hesitation or anything, just flings the Survivor onto it like a sack of potatoes.
-
Don't worry, that will be removed as soon as the inability to work on the event gen for three minutes after a killer kicks it gets implemented.Skrzydlata said:But Killers can still kick and camp event gens. -
There is one that I know of who deranks to keep out of the lobby hell that is the red ranks. They play the match out to the end before DCing though.Terrortot said:I havent seen any derankers in fog whisperers -
I've definitely seen way more tryhard in the green ranks than at rank 1 after rank reset.

Welcome to the life of every Killer when a Survivor decides to take the game hostage.MhhBurgers said:I mean I ain't complaining but if I play survivor I'd be pissed if somebody basically just wasted my time by not doing anything.

Should stay in KYF. They are nothing but cancer in the normal game.

Which then implies that all the bans are from this? That's a lot of hoops to jump through in order to twist my words around. I guess, I shouldn't be surprised with your long history on this forum of doing that though. It's sad, really.SenzuDuck said:@Tzeentchling9 said:
In no way did I imply that those were the reasons behind the recent bans. I was stating how this situation could be abused now that DCs actually mean something.Title - "DC Bans Crackdown"
First Sentence - So, can we get a solution to Survivors holding the game hostage?A solution implies it's already an incredibly prevalent thing (It isn't).

Try to face walls as much as possible.
Do a quick sweep of the nearby area if you know FLs are in play.
Run Franklin's Demise or Lightborne.
If a Survivor starts trying to blind you and you have time to move, DON'T SPIN, Look DOWN. Survivors can still blind you with your peripheral vision, but you can't be blinded when you are looking down. It's also less obvious than looking up and you can see more, allowing you to get a hit on the bastard with the light as well. -
Putting words in other people's mouths as usual.SenzuDuck said:"Survivors Forcing DC"
Don't try and justify peoples bans by saying it's the survivors faults, lmfao.
Fine, so what is the killer supposed to do when the last Survivor is intent on prolonging the game indefinitely? And where are the countermeasures if a Killer holds the game hostage as well?
There was a post here not to long ago about a killer with his game being held hostage and when he messaged the Survivor, he was told he had to DC. Marth has video up on YT of the exact same situation. If the devs are cracking down on DCs, what are players supposed to do? -
OMG tantrum on not hitting a Survivor? That is a massive nerf unless you add AGES to his chainsaw dash. A single window vault would gain ground for LF needing to walk around and the several seconds of tantrum.
-
Currently, only BBQ grants points post match.
-
Thill of the Hunt gives BPs during the match like Distressing does.
-
If the Survivor is stuck somewhere, AFK crows will reveal them. This is just Survivor entitlement at it's finest.DeadByFlashlight said:@Orion said:
Unfortunately, all you can do is wait and then report the Survivor for holding the game hostage. Make sure to have video proof. Whatever you do, do not disconnect. Why shouldnt he DC?
Survivors can do this til eternity, maybe they even bugged themselves into a locker or whatever -
Feel free to explain why the killer should go after the Survivor that will take at least twice as much effort to down. I'll wait.
Unless, of course, you're suggesting the unhooker suffers from the Exposed status.
If tunneling is such a big deal to you then run Iron Will and be more stealthy after you get unhooked. 9 times out of 10, the killer will find you before the unhooker because of all the noise an injuried Survivor makes. -
Great idea in theory. I'd love people to actually have to play the other side occasionally. It doesn't actually work in practice though.
-
Having the Survivor able to be picked up in a second isn't enough?
-
Run Save the Best for Last. Make sure to thank each bodyblocking Survivor for their contribution.
-
Are you getting right on their ass and seeing the "M1 Kill" option and they aren't vaulting?
-
It's an excuse to ignore real issues with the game during the live stream for another week.
-
Injured state=/= Dying state
-
Literally none of those things were effected by patch 2.2.2 though...
-
Sure, this time I had already won. However, what if there was an open gate and she went for it? Sprint Burst or Dead Hard(remember exhaustion reset on hook out of nowhere, thanks devs) and she would have made it out. A lot of people have had that sort of thing happen already. A poor choice of an unsafe unhook rewarded for no reason.ThisNotIt said:You got the knockdown so why are you complaining? -
And yet they had no issues "forgetting" to adjust killer power charge times/add-ons to compensate for the change as promised.Blood_Coil_Viper said:Before it was causing issues where they couldn't make charge time too fast with add ons because Tinkerer would be too much.
I haven't seen it used for over a month, if not longer. Pretty good job so far. -
It's a noob perk because Survivors are noobs to let it activate and let it remain active.
-
Decisive Strike change!
.....Oh, wait... -
It's only a few seconds shorter, but yes.
-
Unfortunately, most Survivors play with their monitors turned on though.DeadByFlashlight said:@McCree said:

Fair enough, but what that video doesn't show is the several times both myself and the other Survivor were already slugged and crawled away from the gens to get healed back up again. That Hag already was going way out of their way to prevent the hatch. That was the reason I was being so obvious about it. I wanted to signal that I was done and wanted out.Pinion said:

Tried to play it out fair, but the killer was too sweaty.
As a killer, if I see someone running through my traps obviously on purpose, then TEABAGGING me as I get the hit, I immediately know that something hinky is going down. It's pretty obvious that you're trying to give the hatch. If it was me, and you didn't teabag at me? Hook, hatch, end of match. But you decided to BM. Courtesy is going out the window. -
The last Survivor gets the hatch if I already have their BBQ stacks and they weren't a dick.
It doesn't happen very often...
No qualms sandbagging other particularly toxic Survivors also. -
It was a while back. They changed the UI for the Bloodwebs and that patch introduced a bug that removed the transition for getting blinded. It still took the same amount of time to "Blind" a killer, but from the killer's PoV, it was an immediate white screen without a build up to it. Freaking rediculous. Think the flashlight bug that the spirit had recently, but much worse.Blood_Coil_Viper said:
Wait what? How did that happen? That shouldn't even be possible.Tzeentchling9 said:I'm still amazed how adjusting the Bloodweb UI turned all the flashlights into Instablinds that one time. How the actual [BAD WORD]? -

Or some people actually know how the game works. It's a hard concept for you to grasp, I'm sure.Radiant said:Aaaaa, ok.
As long yours is not a mature and objective opinion on the gameplay and a new released perk, but just a "survivors are bad" thing, then ok.that explains it all.
-
So when someone shines a light in your face, you keep your eyes wide open at the blinding light until your eyes adjust? Didn't think so.MhhBurgers said:There's design decisions in this game where players physically feel unwell like the struggling and wiggling mechanics, why do flashlights get adjusted? This doesn't seem in tone with the rest of the game design.
The new screen is way more realistic. -
Sounds like someone doesn't understand how pallet looping works.
-
You do well with BL against Survivors who can't run optimally along loops because the mid-speed punishes that? You don't say. It's almost like that was the point of the mid-speed vault.
-
The Bloodlust that just got destroyed and the mindgames rendered useless by 3rd person vision and the red stain that can be seen through walls? ...K.
-
And having a fast vault at any angle won't help bring some of those back? The killer shack alone would gain a few more loops if the Survivor could kiss the wall all the way around and still get a fast vault.Zixology said:@Tzeentchling9 said:
It was that way, until Survivors ruined it by abusing infinites.Except infinites don't exist anymore. We are LONG passed the days when every window was open and every gap had a pallet in it.
