I am kinda confused about the offerings though. So because they offer "bonus" bloodpoints like prove thyself, does that mean they are capped to 8k per category like usual? So if i got 32k score, i would still only get 32k bloodpoints?

Post-match bonuses are not capped, they just add a multiplier to a corresponding category score you have after the match. Bbq, WGLF, bloody parties, anniversary cakes and all the other BP offerings provide post-match bonus to your bloodpoints.

Stuff granting you 100% bonus for co-op /altruistic actions / etc. alters your in-match score (you get such BPs immediatly during the game itself) and as such is capped at 8k. Prove Thyself, No One Left Behind, Thrill of the Hunt are some of the perks that give you this bonus.

  • Killer games give you about 50% more BPs. Besides that, bbq is easier to get stacks on relatice to WGLF.

If you are playing as survivor anyways, focus on co-op actions and altruism. Those have negative effect on your odds of survival, but provide you with much higher amount of BPs.

  • They add up, not multiply each other, so it's irrelevant.

Fully stacked WGLF and a cake offering gives you a total of 200% bonus points (ex. 20,000 base + 20,000 from the cake +20,000 from WGLF). Using them separately doesn't affect the total bonus they provide.

Some perks that mention it specifically affect your basic score, most common example being Prove Thyself. As such, these perks' effects are increased by all types of multipliers (offerings and other perks), but corresponding category top bar is still at 8,000 points. These perks just allow you to get to the maximum amount of points faster.

  • Hooks are widely overrated, randomly slugging a few survivors gives you about the same space as successfull hooks. If there are no hooks in reach, drop your target and move on to the next chase.

  • According to different players, tournament #4-5 spots are contested by twins, PH, hag and DS; Oni's not on the list, perhaps not even in top10.

Top 3, disregarding exact order (I'd say Blight stands above spirit as of today), is more or less consistent.

  • You can do it in custom lobby (Kill Your Friends).

Public MM doesn't allow it to prevent cooperation between killer and survivor against other survivors, I suppose.

  • It is the most RAM-consuming map (and by far).

You can try lowering your video settings and increasing paging file size, but I lagg even after that.

  • It's one-of-the-kind hitbox that is close to a literal 180 degrees cone.

Lethal rush hits have another unique perk of not colliding with absolutely anything other than survivors, which lets you slide on obstacles while lunging.

  • There are several specific gens on certain maps that have broken sound range for inexplicable reasons, particularly when you are on another floor. The most problematic map in these terms is Midwich.

There's at least one 2nd floor midwich gen that is audiable from a distance, but becomes mute as you get closer.

  • Removing FPS cap was never bannable to begin with.

Also bhvr is not the one handling bans, EAC does it. I haven't hear of a single person getting a ban over uncapping FPS.

  • The ones not flipping are secret offerings (it is always mentioned in their description).

The ones shaking indicate identical effect, ex. several BP multipliers.

Not quite sure what you refer to as "disappearing / not disappearing", so can't quite answer that. All the offerings are accepted, even if they don't work for some reason. You only get them back to your inventory if the match is aborted due to a leaver / server error.

Stupid tech is when a killer breaks a pallet, you run into it, crouch and run back, causing them to look behind them and swing when it works.

Key/map tech is when you use them to lose collision, and you can essentially go through killers when they break a wall. Also helps for easier window techs.

Key/map tech sounds okayish, I haven't heard of it somehow. Probably should have used these items more than once per 1-2k trials, huh.

I haven't considered stupid tech an actual tech, but it's somewhere around dumb tech level of usefulness imo.

  • Corner tech and its variations is the only major tech frequently used when top players go against each other.

CJ and dumb techs are ridiculously useless against experienced killers. Window tech is slightly better, but majority of good killers play around it. Locker tech is extremely annoying, but very map-dependant and not quite productive for the purpose of winning the game. Minor techs were either removed from the game (nurse tech, old tractor tech) or are not relevant overall (spirit tech).

I have no idea what "stupid" and "key/map" techs are.

Edit: if you consider J-flick a tech, it's another relevant one.

  • As far as I know, there were no changes to Boldness score events recently.

You can find more detailed info on events granting you boldness points here:

Score Events are used to award Players with Bloodpoints in Dead by Daylight . They are triggered through various (inter-)actions the Player can make during the course of a Trial. 1 Overview 2 Tracking Score 2.1 History 3 Survivor Score Events 3.1 Objectives 3.2 Survival 3.3 Altruism 3.4 Boldness 3.5 Archive Challenges 3.6 Special Events 4 Killer Score Events 4.1 Brutality 4.2 Deviousness 4.3 Hunter 4.4 Sacrifice 4.5 Archive Challenges 4.6 Special Events Score Events are awarded in 8 Categories,

  • The timings overlap if you are swapping the same gens as survivors (and you absolutely will do it), so it's far less than 2 minutes.

Also, hardcore camping is prohibited in most tournaments I know about.

The perk will have its niche nevertheless, it's more efficient if you do not camp.

  • Legion plus whoever is stronger than literally any other combination

  • Nice to know it works.

  • Unless it's something new and completely unique, it's a relatively rare and rather old bug that occurs on your end (other survivors are usually not affected by it). It happens about once in 100-1000 games against huntress.

  • Out of the frequently used perks you are missing only killers': Undying (Blight), Tinkerer (Hillbilly), STBFL (Myers) and Bamboozle (Clown). Then there's a bunch of situationally good perks like Enduring, Surveillance, Discordance etc., but they are not must-have.

If you come up with some specific killers you have in mind when choosing next teachable perks to aim for, it will be easier to answer your question.

I am 645 miles awayfrom Virginia state. I would say by internet standards that is very close. Although you say North Virginia so you can probably shave off maybe up to 100 miles on that total.

Is that really the list? The need more coverage badly. They need one in say Texas and Wisconsin or something

Meanwhile we still got exactly 0 servers in Russia :/

What's your ping usually, around 70 something or worse?

  • It is possible (likely, in fact) that you live relatively far from where the closest bhvr's servers are hosted, and you got "closer" nods with p2p connection thanks to people playing around your place. Dedicated servers are more stable and reliable, but not necessarily faster (unless you live inside the server room, of course).

For reference, here's the list of dbd servers by location:

    • Asia: Singapore
    • Asia: Tokyo
    • Australia: Sydney
    • Europe: Frankfurt
    • Europe: London
    • South America: Sao Paulo
    • North America: North Virginia
    • North America: Oregon
  • I'm not into conspiracy theories, but for this particular feature I get a feeling that killer/survivor quest ratio is used to slightly balance the MM, and the challenges' drop rate is higher for the side that currently lacks players in queue. Neutral quests won't work for this specific purpose, but overall it would be a great addition anyways.

  • Bill and/or Meg, I can't think of anyone else with 2 top tier perks at a time.

All killers have the same carry speed though, so surely they should all have a 32m terror radius (without Agitation).

I just wanted confirmation, but any section in the forums other than General Discussions doesn't get as many eyes. Thought I could save myself time and effort, but I'll just go check the wikis

Movespeed is not related to TR. All killers have the same TR when carrying a body and when just walking/standing; it's a constant value only altered by perks.

I didn't read your question right at first, sorry.

  • There is no such data available in public sources yet.

  • Starstruck works in killer's TR rather than in a 32m radius from a killer, so naturally killers with smaller TR benefit less from this perk. Starstruck is affected by agitation and m&a (you usually see it paired with the first one).

For huntress, Starstruck works inside her TR and not her whole Lullaby zone.

  • It's pure random / selective memory bias.

I'm at the very top of eu mmr and I haven't seen a single nurse in about 20 matches I've played since the MM system was turned on.

  • It is not, and there are no set dates for its release. The only cross progression that exists right now is for stadia users.

  • Ranks are hidden because MMR is on again, it seems to be working better than last time.

New killer, new map, minor addon/killer power reworks, some perk updates.

DS is still 60s and it gets cancelled if they interact with gens/totems/other survivors.

  • The sound that you sometimes hear at the very beginning of the match indicates that you are obsession, sound cue appears earlier than its sign on the hood.

Not sure about red obseasion marks. It used to appear this way when the obsession was dead, either it's changed or broken right now.

  • On my end the new MM does pretty well, I'm yet to see a single player with less than 2k hours on either side.

The matches are more competitive than fun for most part, though.

I just want a female killer. Any female killer. Haven't gotten one since plague which has been about 2 years ago.

    Huh?

Last time I checked Charlotte was female.

  • An SWF of 4 with wglf, breakdown and soul guard on everyone; and 2 sabos plus 2 breakouts for the remaining perk slots.

  • I would go for an ugly generic realm similar to macmillan/azarov/etc. with several simple maps mainly consisting of standard tiles + unique main building.

  • It's the last relatively balanced map to be released.

  • FNAF means there's a reasonable chance Nicolas Cage is coming to DbD as a licensed character, if they make it on the basis of the movie.

I can tolerate pretty much anything: 12 yo's, pathetic power for the new killer, another mapless DLC, upside down hooks floating in the air as a distant yet immediate result of a slight reshade of Dwight's Pizza Hut sunglasses, and so on. Heck, I would pay triple the amount of money I already spent on dbd for this DLC alone if it allowed me to play as Nick Cage.

  • It might make sense to duplicate this question on dbd mobile discord.

It could be that someone randomly knows it here, but all in all dbd mobile has a separate dev team that only appears on their discord server.

  • They do, as long as you use your toolbox to break the hook.

Keep in mind that sound notification and sound itself are not the same - broken hook falling down is still audiable at close distance (and pretty loud, too). The add-on only prevents the killer from getting cross-map notification similar to the one of a broken generator / fast vault /etc.

"The killer still got the sound notification from long distance" - this should not have happened. I use this add-on every once in a while for sabotage quests and I haven't noticed it being bugged recently.

Surprised I'm the first I think to say Trickster. I would gladly allow Ji-Woon to break me in half and I refuse to apologize for being down bad.

This is a necro from 2020 when trickster was not released.

  • The concentration of weakness in this thread is insane.

    On topic - 200+ ping.

  • You should probably move it from Ask the community to Feedback and suggestions.

  • CI and IF are two best perks for myers by a huge margin.

As for the remaining two slots, I vote against gen control of any kind - you snowball or you lose, that's just how myers works. Bamboozle, spirit fury (not necessarilly with enduring), brutal (not with SF, though), bbq, m&a are all nice. If you desperatly want something for gens, get surge.

Lethal pursuer is a highly suboptimal choice for most scenarios, particularly if you already have CI.

  • There's not much fancy stuff here since fatigue cancellation tech got removed couple of months ago.

Well, you can spin during blink itself for more info; you can do funny slow close range blinks staring into the ground, and you can manually cancel post-blink FOV restriction if your sensitivity is high enough. You can also get to a couple of secret rooms for easter eggs, if that counts for "fancy stuff".

Not a fancy thing, just a useful one: when "releasing" an already charged long range blink, quickly nod upwards to secure max blink distance (assuming there's no second floor to blink to). It's a good habit to pick up.

If you got a lot of free time, go to KYF with flannel equipped and explore/memorise dead spots on all maps. There are much less of them nowadays, but it's better to come prepared.

  • Great way to farm survival points that are otherwise always lacking, heh.

  • Huntress and Demogorgon. Slinger and PH are similar to Nemesis on paper but perform differently in reality.

When running tiles, Huntress is very similar to Nemesis in all patterns. Pallet mindgames are precisely the same. Demo can cancel shred charge before you get it ready, making him a bit of an easy mode for such cases relative to the other two.

  • This topic seems to be more about controvertial opinions rather than myths, so I'll come up with a few ACTUAL myths popular among dbd players:

•Despite the popular belief, add-on order has no effect on items' functionality. Battery before filament or vice versa gives you the same output due to the way it's coded (battery and consumption rate are separate parameters). Source: dbd wiki mod, game code, KYF tests.

•[For steam] launch command "-HIGH" listed by a lot of of guides on optimization has no use for DbD because it's a Source command and DbD works on Unreal Engine. No specific source for this one.

  • Tl;dr - you can eventually get either of those, but eastern is a bit more likely to be prioritized.

NA East is hosted in New Virginia, NA West is located in Oregon. Under a loose assumption of server latency correlating with physical distance (which is mostly true), NA East gives you a slightly better ping and is prioritized while queing. This assumption doesn't take into account the proportion of players in each zone or uneven server capacities, so if in fact 80% of all matches in NA happen on Oregon's servers, you'll end up there more often than not.
