But for the people is overrated and solidarity speeds up healing by 50%
Indeed, but FTP has great synergy with self care - you lose a health state on FTP and then you could immediatly heal yourself if not for the broken status effect. Latter one does not appear due to no mither preventing FTP from being used, so the problem becomes irrelevant; voila - case closed.
-
Solidarity into For The People and you are good to go.

It is already a rather weak niche perk the way it is. Last thing starstruck needs is a nerf.

They can do the same now, so not that much of a difference.

Theoretically you can get banned for modifying any game files, but it happens rather rarely. All the bans are handled by EAC rather than bhvr, so mods/customer support never give any comprehensive answers regarding what's actually bannable and what's not.
No, others can't see your custom models of any kind. You are just altering visuals on your side.
-
You probably need to move this to Feedback and suggestions; Ask the community subforum is more about "How many totem spawns are there on The Game?" kind of questions. There are really few people here.
-
Giving shorter/thinner survivors smaller hitboxes will be a trade of balance for common sense, which frankly speaking I wouldn't want to see.
Funny hitboxes when healing/repairing give some depth to game knowledge in this aspect, which I actually like.
95% of huntress hitboxes' complaint threads refer to server latency rather than hitboxes anyways, and that one is nearly impossible to improve. I don't think hitboxes are in need of updates of any sort.

i think it does, not with plagues corrupt purge tho for some reason, mabye im thinking of noed but one of them does
Noed is only revealed on M1 attacks, so what you were saying indeed applies to DH.

It's temporarily disabled due to crashes/performance issues. Should be back at some yet uknown point of time, my guess is 27th of July jointly with performance patch.
-
On the actual question: there were no official news nor leaks regarding the date of MMR re-re-re-release. Not even subtle hints, from what I know.

There is an official dbd account that promotes the game / relay twitts in chinese. I dont think it would exist if the game was banned.
Yeah, that makes sense.
I googled a bit of stuff and only found info on streaming restrictions, and the fact that dbd mobile was initially not released on chinese market (not sure about its current state).
Nothing regarding DbD itself being banned, though.

Yes. I use chinese social networks, and there are even chinese fog whisperers.
The fact that they play DbD is undeniable, but afaik all of them are VPNing through gov restrictions, same as in most other games.
-
@Jago said:
Yes, it is available in China. But you cannot stream it.
Are you sure? It's not in white list of steam games for China.
-
Afaik Nea's crew shirt is the only cosmetic exclusive to bhvr staff members.
There are a few other exclusives, but these are not related to devs.
-
Tgeoretically should be July 27th, given that PTB started on 7th.
Some info devs provided on their schedule also suggests that patch 20.5 is to be released either on 27th jointly with performance fixes, or earlier.

I live in Poland close to the German border so the server in Frankfurt isn't that far away
As for cross-play, i wrote that i turned off, but i mean that i turnet on.
Peculiar. Sounds like an actual issue then, asking KhaineGB in Technical issues subforum won't hurt.
Just in case, do you use any VPN software or other tools to alter routing when playing?
-
Survivors with SC that you know have this perk provide you with the most ridiculous and simple gen grabs. All of us tend to sort of over-rely on SC when we run it.
The perks is still great, though.

What? I thought each attempt is 3sec. So thats why survivor trapped on other side of pallet escaped when I done kicking pallet.
25% considered high when the old RNG, Survivors always escape at 2-3 attempts.
New RNG, 2nd attempt at 34% is really high. Most of the time they escape in 2 attempts.
I think you are confusing stand-alone probability of each escape attempt to overall chance to escape at X attempts.
2nd attempt by itself suceeds at 16.7%. The combined odds to escape on 1st or 2nd attempt are 30.6%. The chance to escape precisely with your 2nd attempt is 13.9%.
More often than not, survivors do not escape in the first 3 attempts.

@EntitySpawn said:
Title, trapper traps. Thought they coded it to be 2-5/6 attempts, never the first and never more than 5/6? Or is it yet another bug to add to the other 100+?
Happened multiple games now
Odds of each possible trap escape scenario (calculations are based on dbd wiki data):
16.7% - 1st attempt escape (1.8s)
13.9% - 2nd attempt escape (3.6s)
11.6% - 3rd attempt escape (5.4s)
9.6% - 4th attempt escape (7.2s)
8.0% - 5th attempt escape (9s)
40.2% - 6th attempt escape (10.8s)
Weighted average time of being trapped is therefore 7.18s.
On each individual attempt but the 6th, your odds to succeed are 1/6. Last attempt gives you a guaranteed escape.
-
@gendoss said:
2 attempts is the average now, you can still get anywhere from 1 - 6.
It's not.
Average time you spend trapped (not including the initial getting caught animation) is 7.18 seconds, which roughly equals 4 escape attempts.

Where can you check the stats on Steam? I'd like to know as well how much BP I've earned.
Dbd onteh offers similar stats for PC players. It's an external aggregator getting data from steam API.

I've never seen such a hack neither it makes any sense. I would bet on laggs+missclick scenario rather than an actual exploit.

End of season only resets you rank. Your character progress is never lost or altered.

I tried to turn off cross-play but it didn't help.
There is really nothing i can do about this ping ?
Turning it off can only make it worse indeed, i was talking about switching it back on if you previously disabled it.
Considering you are confident in your overall connection quality, you can shuffle routing settings (if you know to) or just ask here for a more qualified response:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/technical-issues
However, I'm 80% sure that the problem is bhvr not having any servers in close proximity to where you live. If so, there's nothing to be done here. Fyi, list of active servers as of September 2019 (the most up-to-date info I could find):
US East (Ohio)
US West (N. California)
South America (São Paulo)
EU (London)
EU (Frankfurt)
Asia Pacific (Singapore)
Asia Pacific (Seoul)
Asia Pacific (Tokyo)
If you reside in e.g. Africa or Russia, your ping will always be higher than in most other games.

Just about every killer I've ever talked to about it noticed what happened. Survivors used to move a lot slower, now they whip around randomly and basically teleport. It doesn't even have anything to do with spinning, just a few quick camera jerks and on the killer's screen you're gone because the insane dance the hitbox does.
:/
It's precisely vice versa from my pov. Smoother movement animations eliminated nonsense survivor models' instant turns that made 360 a thing to begin with.
-
@MadLordJack said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2357561#Comment_2357561
Actually, it's considerably more effective, at least in the sense that killers can no longer track you mid-spin, mid-lunge.
Huh? Considered by whom? How exactly are they unable to track you mid animation that they were able to before?
It's the first time I see anyone claiming 360 without instant turnrates became better.
-
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8gKOHguhJnM
Keep in mind that it is nowhere near as efficient as it was before the movement animations rework seeral months ago.
-
There is no PTB on consoles as of now, and it's unclear whether it will come some day or not. In any case, it's unlikely to happen any time soon, unfortunately.
-
Try switching crossplay on, if you haven't yet.
On a more general note, it's most likely a question of dbd servers' location rather than your connection itself. Servers used for hosting are different for different games, and you don't necessarily get the same ping values across all of your games.
-
Afaik it consistently happens when you only lack level 3 upgrades of your perks, regardless of their total quantity. Iirc teachables are treated as level 3 for w/e reason.
That being said, I'm not entirely sure whether it's a bug or a weird feature - it was definetely coded to work this way, but was it intentional? Who knows.
-
If i recall correctly, iridiscent shards bonuses were active from June 30th to July 7th, and you could get a total of 9,000 shards for that period.
-
DC penalties are on most of the time, unless something happens (crashes, exploits allowing to ban other people from MM on purpose, etc.). As soon as current issues get sorted out, DC penalties should be back on.
Regarding your 2nd question, MM didn't undergo any notorious changes recently. The balance of your matches depends on the quantity of queing players for both sides, and it changes a lot depending on exact time you are playing at. You can try playing later in the evening or earlier during the day, and see how your experience changes depending on that.
-
He was not even good against decent players to begin with, and right now he's probably ~bottom 5.
His all-ranks killrate should be about average, though. Less experienced and/or coordinated survivors naturally struggle against Freddy's power kit.
-
No, albeit it probably should if it was worded/coded properly.
Right now killer instinct doesn't proc on targets under Oblivious.

So what was the reason why the traps only last such a short time
I'm not quite sure I understand correctly what you're asking, but if I do - they just got a bit lucky.
They didn't have to be extremely lucky, the odds are not too low; so it happens naturally every once in a while.
-
It's sort of normal.
Each escape attempt takes 1.8 sec. Each time their chance to succeed is 1/6 untill the 6th try when it becomes 100%.
I did some calculations in excel cause your question got me interested. Disregarding the getting caught animation duration (which I just don't know), the average time survivor spends trapped is 7.18seconds. Odds distribution is not quite linear - in 41% cases it's 10.8 seconds; in 31% - 3.6s or less.
Edit: minor calculation error

What is this even supposed to mean?

No.
Iron Will is Jake Park's perk, and you can just level him up whenever you feel like you need it. Getting shrine perks for characters you already have access to doesn't make much sense imo.

It's getting easier to distinguish him and Victor when they no longer share the same facial model.

Server registration is suposedly live and started being in development a year ago
Server hit validation =/= LAN connection. Desync due to players' ping and server tickrate is a natural feature of any game of the kind, including much "wealthier" franchises that can afford better servers.

This joke is so overused that I knew exactly what is written here with just reading the title.
